Pension Pro-ration and Loans

Has anyone who has implemented pension pro-ration based on WPBP splits experienced problems with loans being recovered through the payroll?
We have recently activated node 9 of feature GBCHG - 'Proration based on WPBP splits.' We have now discovered a problem in that gross pay recoveries are not being included in the pension calculation. The gross pay recoveries are set up as loans in IT0045. SAP standard wage types /LOP, /LRP etc are created and we then copy the values from these wage types on to custom wage types.
All other gross payments and deductions are being correctly considered for the pension calculation with the exception of the gross pay recovery. Iu2019ve been through the configuration of the wage types and cannot see any reason why they would not be considered for pension.
Any thoughts or suggestions that you may have would be greatly appreciated!

Issue with Vacation Pro-ration

We generate quotas via RPTQTA00 and not time evaluation.
We have a group of employees who are across all employee sub -gruoups who get 20 vacation days per calendar year, which is pro-rated upon hire. we adjust their IT41 Vacation Service Date (through dynamic action) to 5 years prior to their Hire Date, in order for the increase in Vacation from 15 to 20 days to be picked up as per our Base Entitlement table entries.
The system generates quota 1 day less than it should.
Eg:if an employee was hired on 1 july 2009 and bsed on the dynamic action it populated IT41 with the vacation service date of 1July 2004.
Our base entiltlement rule is 60-999 months 20 days per calender year.
Vacation service date is 1 july 2004.
When i create a quota in infotype 2006 it generated 9 days instead of 10 days.
What could be the problem.
I tried using the HDATE and ENTRY feature.
We even tried using 'Key Date for Determining Seniority' in 'Define Generation Rules for Quota Type Selection as Vacation service date(Sub type 15), However, when this configuration change is made the 5th anniversary year pro-ration does not work.

Does your external hard drive have it's own power supply? It should.
Is your external hard drive formatted with the NTFS file system? It won't work.
It needs to be formatted either with Mac OS Extended or FAT32.
(There are drivers available to add NTFS support to OS X but their quality is unknown, especially the "free" ones.)

Mac OS X has a built-in disk diagnostic and repair program called fsck or file system consistency check. Here’s how to verify and repair your startup disk with fsck. As soon as you hear the startup tone, press and hold Command-S on the keyboard. Keep holding down those keys until you see a black screen with white lettering. This is called “booting into Single User Mode.” As the Mac boots in this mode, the screen reports each step of the process. The line should end in root#. Right after the root# prompt, enter the following: /sbin/fsck -fy
If repairing the disk in single user mode fails, it means one of two things. Either your hard drive itself is failing (a hardware failure), or the directory damage on your hard drive is beyond the capability of the built-in repair procedures in OS X.

Windows 7 pro x64 and palm centro

I'm running windows 7 pro X64 and the software installed just fine, but not the driver. Does Palm have any plans for a solution? Are there any third party drivers that will solve my problem without having to install a bluetooth device on my pc?

Palm has moved away from their legacy operating system (PalmOS) and on to a new one called webOS. Since Palm Inc. doesn't even own their own software anymore (Palm Desktop) I'd seriously doubt any further support will be forthcoming for Win7, especially for 64-bit architecture.
Palm Inc. has historically not divulged any "future plans" for software (or hardware). Will a third-party develop a desktop client? I have no idea at this point, but the opportunity certainly exists!

Deployment of Adobe XI Pro Cloud and Adobe XI Pro Non-Cloud

Hello - If you have Acrobat XI Pro Cloud and Acrobat XI Pro Non-Cloud deployed in a large environment where both products were packaged with the Adobe Application packager at separate times, how does one systematically determine or report on which version is which (file version, registry path, exes, product ID, etc). As best I can tell they are literally exactly the same.
Here's the scenario, I am rolling out Adobe XI Pro Cloud globally to many computers, a good portion of our computers already have Adobe XI Pro non-cloud version. Typically I run a report on ProductID, RegistryKey, or FileVersion to isolate the correct product that needs to be deployed. In this case, they report exactly the same. What is the best mechanism to report on to separate the two?
Is there a file\folder\registry key that would exist only for an Adobe XI Pro Cloud-Edition installation?
(Note: most of these systems will also have the Cloud version of Illustrator & Photoshop installed, which needs to remain intact, looking for CC folders doesn’t indicate specifically which Acrobat version they have in that case)

The balance of the mailing label do print, just not the bar code. It may be my imagination, by I believe it used to print thebar codes.

Try adding an alternate driver and try to print.
To use an alternate print driver for HP printers in Windows 7:
1. Click on the Start menu.
2. Click on Devices and Printers.
3. Click Add a Printer
4. Add a local Printer
5. Select Create a New Port
6. Select Standard TCP\IP port
7. Enter Printer IP address (Printer IP address can be found by printing network config page from printer
8. Under Manufacturer select HP and under printer select HP Officejet 8000 pirinter or Officejet 7410
9. Click apply and try printing

I have a two and half year mac book pro... I've had some issues with the screen looking scrambled when I quit certain applications, but now it's turned into something worse. I'll be working on my computer and the thing will freeze. When I force restart, the first screen, the apple logo, will be a blue tint and won't boot up normally. Then I try safe mood and it will then boot just fine. But there are blue stripes on my screen. The screen alternates from a blue tint to normal and if the computer freezes again the screen will become completely blue with black stripes. I haven't tried reinstalling my software because I don't have the startup discs that came with my computer. If I was sure that would fix it I would purchase them, but if it's a hardware issue I'm afraid that I'm screwed. I've been able to successfully get the blue off my screen by putting it to sleep and then waking it up, but that's not working well anymore either.
Does anyone else have experience with this? Is it the firmware or what? I have a MacBook Pro from early 2011 and I'm running Mac OS X 10.6.8.

I just experienced this exact same issue with my early 2011 15" macbook pro. Since like a month after purchasing it I had issues with the screen randomly going dark on me. I sent it in for repair inder waranty they replaced the gpu and logic board but I continued to have the same issues with the screen randomly going black sometimes I would need to reboot it in order to get the screen to go back on but it happened so infrequently and I used the computer for school so disnt find the time to resend it in to apple. Just last night the screen started to display the blue screen with black verticle lines on it. I called apple and explained to them the issues that had been ongoing since I purchased the laptop but they said because I was now outside of warantee that any repairs at thia point wouldn't be covered. Fml so glad I spent 2200 on this future proof macbook pro what a joke my sister purchased a toshiba laptop for 300 4 years ago and it still running like a champ. I loved my macbook but at the price I paid I expect it to last longer than 2 years before leaving me high and dry. *** apple??

When i press command+I (Get Info) i see that there is 140 GB "Available Space" on my hard disk but when i click on my hard disk icon on the desktop, and then press "space" i only see 102 GB free!! What the f*???

I have Macbook pro A1286 and was wondering how to connect it to the tv and have audio?

Like the title says, I have a 15 inch macbook pro A1286 (from mid 2009) and want to hook it up to a tv. I also know that my particular model of macbook pro doesn't support audio from the mini display. I know that I will need a mini display to hdmi cable or converter and a hdmi cable if I decide to go for the converter for the video. I've seen both the cord (1 side is hdmi and the other is mini display just to clarify if I'm not using the right terminology) and converter online and any comments on which is better/preferred would be helpful. What kind of cable do I need to get sound to play through the tv? If you could suggest brands (unless all of them are about the same), I would be very grateful. It would be nice to know if the cords have to be specifically from apple just so I don't buy the wrong thing. If there's an easier way (less cords) to do this than hdmi feel free to say something Thanks for the help, I really appreciate it and am eternally grateful.

Hi there, I want to installed Logic Pro 8 ( an upgrade version ) on my Macbook Pro with OS 10.8.2 and when I click on the installer on the DVD, the message is : You can’t open the application “LogicStudio.mpkg” because PowerPC applications are no longer supported. Is that mean that it is no compatible ? what can I do ? Thanks.

I had this issue as well.
Check your Logic 8 packaging and see if you see "Universal Binary" written on the back or spine of the box.
Logic 8 in later releases was both PowerPC and Intel supported. However I get the error "cannot run PowerPC applications" on OS 10.8 on my new MacBookPro.
The cause of this is most likely that the installer was a PowerPC application, and Apple assumed at the time you could just run Rosetta for the installation.
Solution: install Logic 8 on an older Mac, run a Timemachine backup of your mac, then plug your Timemachine harddrive into your new mac and run Migration Assistant (Under Utilties)
Works perfect, even the plugins and Apple Loops carry over. It works 100% perfectly good. If you have the "Universal Binary" version there is no need to buy Logic 9.
I wasn't really "wow'd" with the new features of 9 and thought I would hold off until 10 to upgrade. This was 3 years ago. I still use Logic but it's amazing how cutting edge it used to be, and how far Pro Tools and Cubase and FL studio have come in the mean time.
