Peoplesoft installation on windows 7 (64bit)

Hi Gurus,
I want to do peoplsoft server installation on windows 7 (64 bit)..
First i need to FSCM (financials and supply chain management) , please provide me the part numbers for the same so that i can download from edelivery or raise a SR ...
My ideais if i have a 8.52 peopletools then i can install HCM (Human resources and campus solutions too)
I need compatible people tools and applications softwares , so that i don't need to do people tools upgrade or application upgrade

First of all have a look into this doc if you are a beginner. It would give a an overview of all the peoplesoft components and the order in which they are installed. After you have read it thoroughly, you would find yourself standing somewhere towards the peoplesoft installation.

After that, just download Oracle virtualbox https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Downloads and Microsoft windows server 2008 R2 http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/evalcenter/dd459137.aspx . and then,
Install Oracle virtualbox on you windows 7, create a virtual machine(Follow the virtual box documentation).
Install Windows server 2008 R2 on that virtual machine.
Now you have perfect environments for your peoplesoft installation.

    I assume you mean the Toshbia recovery disk. Right?
    If yes this disk contains an image of factory settings. That means if you use this disk and install it, you have the same settings as you purchased it. So its called recovery disk / factory settings.
    The recovery disk will always work. You can create 10 partition and/or install Linux. The recovery disk will always work and restore factory settings. With this disk you are on the safely side. :)
    Furthermore the recovery disk doesnt contain programs that you have installed yourself. You can install what you want but the content on recovery disk is always the same.

    To be honest this question isnt clear and detailed.
    Generally the installed programs from Toshiba dont create a backup autmatically.
    If you mean the HDD recovery option, the folder with this content and files is stored on the second partition in folder HDDrecovery. As I already wrote, the files are always the same and have nothing to do with the programs that you install. If you delete this folder, you cant use the HDD recovery option anymore.
    And Windows recovery environment has nothing to do with Toshiba. You will find this feature on all Vista and Windows 7 computers. But both versions are completely different.
    Last but not least if you want to create a backup of your current settings with all installed applications, tools, etc. you have to use an additional backup software like Acronis True Image. It creates also an image but of your current settings. ;)

    I need simple installation direction about BI Publisher version 11.1.1.3 onto Windows 2008 64 bit server with Oracle 11g database and Apex 4.0. More I read the installation, more I am confused. The document ID: E10539-01 is very confused to me. Sorry. The 32bit server with BI Publisher version 10.1.3.4.1 is much easier to set up.

    Sorry about the name spelling. English is not easy. :-)
    The instruction for install and configure the PDF Printing is very similar between Apex3.0 and Apex 4.0. But, you do need to install BI publisher on one of the server and set up the port like 9704. What happen is we have a brand new 64 bit server with Windows 2008. The BI publisher previous version (was for 32 bit) will not install on 64bit server and having error message due to fail requirement.
    And BI Publisher 11g is a total different game. After read the installation doc., I am more confused.
    Right now, I was able to change the new server REPORT PRINTING to point to the other server (previously working). It is ok for now. I had posted to the BI forum and to see what responses I will get.

    i am trying to install oracle client on win 7, during the installation it popup a message saying cannot copy the files to start menu or desktop. Already i logged in as administrator.

    I also faced same issue.
    I have edited KEYDB.XML file. In that file replace ERROR woth OK and continue the installation. Before editing copy file  callSdmViaSapinst.log to know what are the components (failed components) need to be deploy after sucessfull installation.
    KeyDB.xml file located under location C:\Program Files/sapinst_instdir/CRM2007/LM/AS-JAVA/ADDIN/ORA/CENTRAL/CI
    This method is not recommended by SAP. If you find any other solution rather than this please update in same message.

    But by searching on Toshiba Webpages for compatibility of Win7 on Satellite A200 I find always it should be possible to install Win 7 64bit if Serial No has a 7, 8 or 9 on second position. My Serial No. starts with 57...
    Could somebody help me to find out the error reason.

    The Instruction Set is 32bit and the CPU does not support Intel 64 Architecture

    So it could be possible that you will need to install Win 7 32bit instead of 64bit

    In any event it depends what you're practise is - if you need to install BI Apps then you'll need Informatica server installed as well as the client.

  • Windows 7 64Bit - iPhone 3GS Driver needs constant reinstalling for photos

    This is a fairly fresh installation of windows 7 64bit, I can sync my iphone and apps and music work without issue, but the driver that lets me access the photos has recently started showing an "!" every time I connect, I can only access my photos by telling windows 7 to troubleshoot the driver
    it then determines that a driver reinstall is needed which then lets me access the images.. until I re-sync again.
    Any ideas would be good, i dont want to have to reinstall itunes

    The laptop is running Windows 7 64bits with Internet Explorer 10 and the Windows automatic updates is turned on. The problem happens when the Windows keeps installing the Internet Explorer 11 every time between shutdown process. So I decided to download

    Problem installing itunes on windows 8 64bit. Installation gets stuck on Status: (blank) literally blank. I really need to install this since I have only 1 PC and i just bought the new iPhone 6.

    For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
    The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
    Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

  • No Registry records of ID in Windows 7 (64bit) after installation

    i moved my problem from another discussion into this new one... i don't know if it is normal, but i have just installed ID and PS from my CS5 pack, restarted the computer and checked Windows Registry (through "regedit" in command line) if there are some records of the applications. suprisingly there is only Photoshop in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE under SOFTWARE and no INDESIGN. that is the same problem i had before the installation when i had had to uninstall CS5 because it hadn't worked properly and i couldn't find any records of ID in Registry as well. now it seems the reinstallation helps - ID seems to work properly but i cant find any records in Registry again.
    You guys who have ID under Windows 7 64bit, could you please check if you have some records in Windows registry in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE under SOFTWARE? I dont think its normal that there are none

    the only relevant or seemingly important key i've found is InDesign.Application and InDesign.Application.CS5. But I can't figure out why there is no InDesign key in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE under SOFTWARE, as EACH software i have installed has its key here. I had ID on my previous computer with WINDOWS 7 32bit, and in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE there were all respective keys of the applications from CS5 i had installed. maybe Windows 7 64bit version manages keys in a different way
    today again when i opened ID it behaved strangely. no toolbars, no layout and when i clicked on the hidden toolbar only then it showed up and ID gave a message that programm stopped working and will be closed... and really - it was closed

  • Flash Player .MSI installation Windows 7 64bit Permissions Issue

    I have published the latest Flash Player MSI to my Companies Active Directory, I have enabled users to install applications that are controlled by the windows Installer "Always Allow Application Installation" GPO setting in Computer and User.
    I have not had any issues with other published applications such as Chrome, Firefox.
    Both of the MSI files (Plugin and IE) versions both kick back with insufficient privelages.

    run the installer as a domain admin
    run as locally created admin
    run in elevated mode
    Removed all UAC Settings

    Vendor ID 102F is Toshiba America but PCI database doesnt show more informations
    To give you a more detailed answer it would be interesting to know which driver you have already installed.

  • Enabling Installation of CS3 and CS4 products that will not install on Windows 7 64Bit.

    Adobe installers are not known for their helpful or forgiving ways & I have more than once had to reinstall Windows when installation of CS3 and CS4 products has failed with patently inscrutable errors.
    The background to the current issue that I was attempting to install PS CS4 on a W7 system which already had CS CS3 installed. The CS4 installer threw up inscrutable messages indicating  that the installation could not proceed and to contact Adobe (they are joking right ? Their phone & web support is notoriously UN-helpful).
    After reading through threads suggesting that I uninstall CS3, apply CS3 and CS4 cleaning scripts I was in exactly same position I have found myself in on least 2 occasions with WinXP. By this time I couldn't event get CS CS3 to reinstall!
    Then I decided to review the event log and found a number of installer events thrown up by the Adobe installers resembling "Error 1402. Could not open key: UNKNOWN\Components\xxxxxxxx".
    I tracked down this very helpful solution which allowed me to change the registry permissions on the parent key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer\UserData\S-1-5-18\ Components and propagate the new permissions down to the child keys.

    My advice is to follow instructions for "A More All-Encompassing Solution" and propagate the permissions right down to all the child keys as I could see a number of separate adobe installer errors in the event log. Also note the instruction to change the Owner from 'System' to 'Administrators' in Advanced settings. This is necessary in order for the Permissions change to be accepted and replace all the child object permissions.
    As with most registry changes good advice to backup your registry hive first (although I didn't; by this time I was already expecting to have to reinstall Windows) and restart your system after making the registry changes before attempting to install  / reinstall CS3 or CS4 products.
    Hope this solution works as well for others as it did for me as the Adobe support on this issue has been next to useless.
    [P.S. Q: Did you hear the joke about the guy who worked on product installation at Adobe rocking up at job interview with 'Adobe Installation Project Team' on his Resume? A: That that is the joke! If you wanted another job in installation development you would hardly admit to experience at Adobe ;)]
