Per my last post - potentially fatal mistake

Question

I think my software guy gave me the wrong software, I told
him I need Server 2003 so I can run CF Standard.
I seem to have Small Business Version, but I just checked,
and I never realized Adobe recommends the Web edition.
I can't get anything to hook up outside localhost, haven't
even installed CF/MX7 yet. Localhost gives me a sharepoint document
and I added a dumb little index.htm which loads fine. my DOMAIN
works on my computer, when I type shawngibson.com/index.htm (it's
says 'hi!'...hehe), but I can't access anything from another
computer/another internet connection, even though I've turned off
the firewall (so it says, it won't let me into the firewall!) and
have, for now, no router hooked up. Before Windows forced me to run
a bunch of wizards, I typed my static IP in another
computer/another internet provider, and it gave me what was
obviously a windows error page - it definitely connected to my
computer.
Any suggestions? As I read the box, apparently just opening
Windows causes me to own it forever, because it's OEM for the
computer he sold me. Nor did I tell him Web version, so in theory
it's my mistake. Am I potentially in serious trouble here?
I've rethought the Apache/MySQL thing, and I'd rather just
try to get CF running under IIS with MS SQL Express, if possible.
The less headaches right now, the better...if this is even doable!
ps, there are not, nor do I expect there to be, any other
computers hooked up to this except maybe for file sharing through
my router my 'crapola' box.

Thanks Glen. In various bouts over the weekend, I got IIS
running, was able to fire off an email from my domain in MS
Exchange (but not reply to my computer)...and was able to access a
simple index.htm that I pushed over/configured in IIS to another
hard drive - I am certain by adding .cfm etc. pages to IIS for
recognition I would have been able to access them.
Then the whole thing blew up when I tried to set the drivers
up for my PNY Quadro, and the computer is now in the shop. I think
W2003 hated the XP drivers (I installed the 32bit XP since XP64 was
the only other option)...and I lost all video both on the card and
the built in Rage on my Supermicro board.
Yes, I suck. But it's good to know SBS is going to work fine
for CF. I wish I could tell the tech how to set this
webserver/email server up...probably going to cost me $1,000
whether I give him explicit directions or not. I would like as much
separation as possible, given everything is in one box. I have 8
drives and 2 physical processors...wish I knew how to utilize them.
Pulling out Flex/Flash/Photoshop. Buying a laptop for them
and will FTP into this. The Supermicro will have W2003SBS (FTP + MS
Exchange) and ColdFusion and MS SQL Express and MySQL 5 - that's
it!
