Perameter incorrect error message comes up when I try to get photo

I was using the 3.2 free edition version. It was working WONDERFUL! It is the best program for me. But today, when I went to load my pictures I got this error message "the parameter is incorrect". To get photos I was using a sandisk card reader. I usually just plug the card into the reader and the adobe photoshop album starter 3.2 usually pops up on its own, then I just click get photos. It sooo easy. But today that didn't happen. So I manually opened the program, then went to file, get photo, from reader, and then I see the number of pictures read, but then the error message comes up.
Anyone know what that message means and how do I fix it?

Hi Penny,
Reinstalling the program should not be a problem as this is available online for free download. Just search for "Download Photoshop Album Starter Edition" and you will be lead to appropriate link on the Adobe site.

HT2506 I get this error message come up when I try to save a pic in Preview??

some thing to check, drag the photo in question to the desktop (it makes a copy) highlight it the press

This will bring up the info window on it. CHeck the bottom under sharing and permissions and your name or admin and see if it has read&write permissions, if not you may have to enter your admin password to unlock the padlock and change ti to read& write. Also more towards the top make sure the box "locked" is not checked

The Deskjet series printers connect to wireless networks with what is called USB to Wireless.
You will need a supported operating system to connect a Deskjet to a wireless network. Supported operating systems to connect the printer to a wireless network are Windows 7 (32bit and 64bit), Windows Vista (32bit and 64bit), and Mac OS X (10.5, 10.6, and 10.7).
While there is a software download option for Linux distributions, this is not the full featured software that is capable of adding the printer to a wireless network. Most printers have a wireless setup wizard to accomplish this task, but the Deskjet series printers connect in a different way.
Once the printer is connected to a wireless network, HPLIP 3.12.4 drivers should be able to locate the printer.
Click on Installing the Product Software for a Wireless Network Connection to receive instructions to connect to a wireless network using Windows and Mac operating systems.
Click on Software & Driver Downloads - HP Deskjet 3070A e-All-in-One Printer - B611a to download the appropriate software for a supported operating system to connect to a wireless network.

when itunes freezes up, just leave it alone, running nothing else on your computer, and within 1-3 minutes, itunes will begin to burn your cd
by any chance, are you running a Dell? used to see "two-minute hangs" sometimes under these circumstances with Dells back in the 4.9 days. (the thread where Dan and I troubleshot one has been deleted due to lack of activity, though.)
we got past that one by heading to the Dell website and checking for upgrades for that particular model of PC. may be worth following up on in your case.

Can you explain a little more what you mean by "internet addresses"? What kind of Mac are you using (your profile says Macbook Pro, you've posted in the iMac forum), are you at home or elsewhere, and what internet setup do you have?
Are you clicking on the Airport/Wifi icon in your toolbar at the top right of the screen to connect to a network? If you're seeing more than one network there, the others are usually your neighbours' wireless networks - there's no way to hide those.

as for the problem of opening links from live messenger - can you try setting firefox as default browser again, see [[How to make Firefox the default browser]] & [[Setting Firefox as the default browser does not work]].
