   My question is about custom badi implementation in Performance management for appraisal document Targets defaulting...
Brief:

At the creation of the personal appraisal, the column containing the performance targets of the employee is pre filled with the targets defined in the previous appraisal cycle and contained in the previous year employee appraisal form or in the target settings document.
Solution:
      1   Please give me the soultion which badi i can use?
         and How to achieve to do this thru coding step by step?
      2. And Can you please share any other synario defaulting   developed previously.If u share these documents or coding .. It should be fine...

Hi Chris,
This component must be deployed in Portal because have a lot of services which need ESS in order to work properly. According with note 1408243 you must add those business components in your iView and only are available in that component. Once you deploy this component you do not need to assign any special role to users. The business object component is in Content Administration --> Portal Content --> Business Object --> ERP Common Parts --> Human Resources --> Employee.

I think you can take the abap'ers help in creating the program. But u need to provide them the exact functionality and the required specifications in creating the appraisal document.

Hi,
I have done appraisal document creation for bulk using txt file.
this fm used for single for creation in standard tcode (phap_prepare): 'WZ_HRHAP_0DOC_WZ01_START'.
So create ztcode usinh this fm for single form then record BDC for this tcode and called this tcode in that bdc for bulk creation .
While recording for single I have used manual option instead of automatic .

Link missing for appraisal documents in MSS Status overview

Hi all,
For ESS Status overview page of Flexible Appraisal document, the appraisal documents are listed with links. when we click the link, its taking to the appraisal document.
For MSS Status overview page of Flexible Appraisal documents, the appraisal documents are shown as texts and there is no link. (hyperlink). Opening the document is possible only by clicking 'Display' or 'Edit' button.
I have checked throughout the SDN and unable to find the problem. Our functional team says that the link was appearing before. Could some one help on what configuration is necessary to get the link for appraisal documents in MSS

I think i have not made the details clear. Its not the tag or the text values i am talking about.
Its the POWL page where i am not able to view the link for appraisal documents .

Set No to tray options in iview for appraisal document

Hi Gurus,
I am trying to disable all tray options for appraisal document (flexible solution). I have disabled all option in iview and page, but tray option are still there.
I've made the same thing for another iviews and worked. Do you have any idea of what could it be?

Hi Vasco,
One possibility could be your change to the original iView may not have been reflected to the delta link. This could be because you might have changed the same property in the delta link and now that property would no longer inherit from the parent. If that indeed is the case, try you can either reset the delta link and change the property in the parent link OR change the property in the delta link.

Enhancement Area for Appraisal Documents

Hello.
I´m looking for any document that could help me to undestand how is the relation between the HAP* BADIS and the enhacment areas.
If I implement the BADI HRHAP00_DOC_SAVE it's only availible for the enhacement area BS ( Save Appraisal Document ) and no other one. am I wrong?
If this is correct, is it posible to assign the BADI to other enhacement area? because my functional consultant said that he need the implemented BADI in the enhacement area BB ( Pushbutton Access)
Any help could be useful.

Thanks. for the name of the BADI. I've checked this and talk with my consultant but at the end he does not want the BADI.
I also found the relation between the enhacement areas and the enhacements. There is a standard funtion module call HRHAP_C_BADI_FOR_EXIT_AREA_GET

Problem with credit managment for FI-documents

Hello,
is there any possibility to modify the value "Total receivables" for the creditmanagment?
I customize the position-type as not active for "credit active" and the values for the sales part are set correctly for the credit managment.
But everytime I create an invoice and the FI-documents are created, the value for the "total receivable" in report
RFDKLI40 is wrong.
If I create a new sales document then, the creditmanagment checks with the wrong value from "total receivable" and that´s wrong.
Line " where vbeln = lt_vbrk-vbeln
and cmpnt space."
in report LVFDSF02 is set.

ITAR Management for Parts & Documents

All,
Am currently exploring possibilities in SAP and beyond to ensure that Part, Document, Drawing Markup are controlled using export control attributes i.e, that is combination of user citizenship and location to ensure ITAR compliance.
Had a look at few options, namely SAP - GTS and from SAP Partner NextLabs. Due to economic constraints, we may not pursue these options right away. Is there anything that is out-of-the-box or can modified to an extent in DMS/MM itself to fulfill these requirements. Customizing Classification attributes would come handy only to an extent. Restricting access to parts/documents based on user location/access point would be a challenge.
Would appreciate inputs if someone has experience/ worked on similar requirement.

I think it is more expensive to build custom rather than using the partner solution from NextLabs.
neverthless to build something totally custom, you can use the PLM WEB UI add-on on top of ECC. this will bring ACM functionality. then do your customization on top. this is one probable solution i can think off.

Performance Management - Printing Goal Document

Hi!,
Have any of you tried printing Goal document with specical characters like Bullet points? The User at my site created a goal document with Bullet Points using cut & paste method from another document.It lets you save the data and re displays it.But the print document replaces bullet ponts with # charecter's.
Any ideas on how to address this issue...

Performance Management (Appraisal Documents) ABAP webdynpro error on HTTPS

Hello all,
Please help , in resolving the issue with Performance Management Application "Appraisal Documents" getting Blanks Screen on the routing back from "Appraisal Document" after user close the application. Issue is only applicable in 'HTTPs' and work fine in internal network.
On HTTP Watch : "ERROR_HTTP_INVALID_SERVER_RESPONSE" in the trace.
Steps to replicate :
1. User click on the "Appraisal Documents" link on the Area page and open the application on the new window.
2. User select one of the "Appraisal document" from the list available to work on it , which result in another window.
3. User close the application after finishing the work on the "Appraisal Document" and return on the Parent window "Appraisal Documents".
4. At this point "Appraisal Documents " window get refresh and every things looks great.
5. Now if user want to select another appraisal document to work on it in "Appraisal documents" window, it freeze or give blank screen.

Performance management is the concept to set the appraisal document and feedback system for employee.
A appraisal template is created using PHAP_CATALOG tcode. This will be taken care by BSP HAP_DOCUMENT. Once the appraisal template is created the template is displayed in portal by giving the template id in HAP_DOCUMENT. From R3, user can able to create the appraisal document using PHAP_CREATE, PHAP_ADMIN tcodes.
The user can able to create appraisal documents which is the base of appraisal template. That's how all the employees can have the same template in portal and R3.

BADI for changing Appraisal document application name for Web dynpro ABAP

Hi,
For Appraisal document customizing through PHAP_CATALOG_PA, We have BADI HRHAP00_BSP_TMPL to change the BSP application name which can be used in Web layout for output display. Using this we can change application name from HAP_DOCUMENT to custom BSP application name
Similarly, what is the BADI for changing Web dynpro ABAP applictaion name? Currently its triggering HAP_MAIN_DOCUMENT.
how do we change application name to some custom web dynpro application name

I don't know, if there is any chance to get the Webdynpro application name. At least in the ABAP System fields is no information about the webdynpro application name.
One remark: I have allways problems with BAPIS / BADIS that behave different depending on the caller. Could it be a good idea to pass some information through the interface / parameters?

Appraisal Documents (WD UI) open the same page in the pop up browser.

Hi Expert,
    I am using the business package for Appraisal Documents. I got some problem on navigate to the new browser.
   When the user click on a link in 'Appraisal Documents (WD UI)' in should open a new pop up for Appraisal Document(HAP_MAIN_DOCUMENT), but It open Appraisal Documents (WD UI) again in the new pop up browser.
   I am not sure whether i did it correct or not. Below is the step that i did.
- Copy Appraisal Documents (WD UI) page and Appraisal Document'(HAP_MAIN_DOCUMENT) to the folder.
- Change system alias for pages.
- Add Appraisal Document (WD UI) operation of Employee Business object to Appraisal Documents (WD UI) page.
- Assign them to the role.
Could you please suggest. If you have a document about using the page from business package please provide me

we kindly recommend you to re-check note 1600380 paying attention to
point 1.2 which deals with the relevant configuration to ESS for
flexible process.
please notice per default role delivery two services two roles for
Performance Management will be displayed. Both services are named
Appraisal documents. The difference is that one service is for the
Predefined Management Process employee access, the other one for the
configurable/flexible Performance Management employee access. The ESS
business package is set up in a way that all services/iviews are in
default role delivery available and customer can choose which one to
leave in (This is different to MSS where there is an standard role
delivery and a hidden iview delivery. There the customer can choose
whether or not to remove existing iviews in standard role delivery or if
the ones which are hidden shall be made visible in the role).

Approval process in performance managent

we need to understand a bit better the standard process for approving appraisal documents in performance management....
1. who is the default approver for appraisal documents?
2. how is the document sent for approval? is there a standard pushbutton that does that? is this in the Appraisal document WD4A application?
3. what is the difference between statuses 'approved' and 'closed approved'
4. is the status flow like this: completed->approved->closed approved?

this is completely controlled by who you let move the document on the status flow from In Process to completed. Generally it is the appraiser, i.e. the manager.

all of this is controlled on the status flow tab in phap_catalog when you are at the template level for config.

approved, and closed approved are really up to you from a design perspective and how you want the flow to work. within the status flow tab you could do something like:
in proces -> completed - Is only allowed by appraiser
Completed -> Approved - is only allowed by higher level manager
Approved -> closed approved - is done by the employee as an acknowledgment

Trigger Appraisal WF when ever Appraisal document created in APPCREATE

Hi Experts,
I am working on Appraisal workflow. When ever Appraisal document is created through APPCREATE I have to trigger wf and work item should be send to Reporting manager for starting the workflow. My problem is WF is not getting triggered when Appraisal document is created. In BO APPR_DOC there is no event for Appraisal document create. Here in this workflow appraisee will not initiate the process and appraisal will be completed by Reporting manager, Parat appraisal and Reviewer.
Can anybody please suggest me how to proceed now.

Thank you for the reply. Now I can able to trigger the wf when appraisal doc creted through phap_create. In my requirement appraisee is not required in the process. when I click on other appraisers I am getting the appraisee name by itself from the employee field. and when ever I click reporting officer I should get the Reporting officer name by default.
Can you please suggest how can I default the Reporting officer in the Reporting Officer field of appcreate's first screen and to delete the appraisee name when I click on other appraisers.
I am getting the reporting officer name in "Other Appraisers" by selecting the reporting officer inthe listbox. but not the initial screen of appcreate. Can you please specify any BAd's for this.
