Period symbol in email 7250

I'm brand new to this blackberry world, I purchased a used 7250 which seems to work just fine with the exception of the (.) period symbol. When I am in email and try to enter my email address which is [email protected] The instructions say for the period symbol hit the space bar twice...when I do that I get the @ symbol instead and then if I leave the @ symbol and go to where I should instert that symbol I get a period......bottom line I can't get into my gmail account on my device. When I look in the symbol page there are very few symbols and of course a period is not one of them.
I'm hoping someone has an idea, I can't find anything in any of the help areas......thanks in advance......Jim

since its jim.garn, you have a period in your name, so you should type JIM then the period (.) (for this hold down shift key, the key left to space bar and then press the key with letter M) and the you should type out GARN and the press space bar (this will give you @) and the type GMAIL and then press space bar ( this will give you period) and then type COM.

Is there a grace period for apple email address?

Hey guys I was wondering if there was a grace period for apple email address yourname@'insert apple domain name'.com once you deactivate or delete it before it can be used again?
for example with phone numbers for certain companies it takes 2yrs once the number is disconnected for it to be available to be used again.
Which leads into why i'm asking this, as the reason for this is I had an apple ID/email address that i used when working for an apple reseller a few years ago and when i left i was asked to delete it. which i did but i would like to use the yourname part of it again with @icloud.com but its saying the email address is already in use.
Now i know what you might say that someone else could be using in but thats is very unlikely as i have a very unique name plus i also know that apple in their infinite wisdom kept all address ending in @me.com and @apple.com active in the icloud change over to allow association between @me.com accounts and @icloud.com accounts and i believe the later is the cause of my fustration.
If there is no grace period is there anyway to prove that i was [email protected] and delete that record so that i can setup [email protected] as the apple ID in question are different?

Hi, €100 charged to my account due to withdrawing from contract within 30 day period specified in email regarding change of contract due to pricing change. I was advised by eircom on 12th Feb that no notice was needed as I had 30 days to withdraw from contract from the 11th Feb email received date. Notice was given via the phone number provided in the email that I would be moving providers thus withdrawing from contract. Final bill has a €100 ECC charged. Called eircom on Fri 6th March was advised €100 would be deducted from bill as should not have been charged. Was also promised a call back from agent for Mon 9th March to advise this credit had been applied. No callback received. Called again to dispute this cancellation charge on 10th March was advised this would be escalated to team leader. Asked to speak to higher level persons advised non available. Also advised by agent that to withdraw from contract we should have ceased our line and broadband. Nowhere within the email we received are we requested to cease our products totally to withdraw from contract and then ask new provider to reactivate all our products again. This would seem a ridiculous thing to require to be done. This is typical Eircom tactics when any normal person can see that according to Eircom email we were entitled to withdraw from contract by switching providers. Exact same happened to me however, Eircom have since cut me off. Nobody will phone me back and I have a credit block on my visa card which has never before happened to me. To say that Eircom's service is poor is an understatement. I have all of the emails that I sent to them but not one person will take responsibility and telephone me to resolve this issue. How do you set the time period on IMAP email accounts (razr maxx)

Hi Guys -
Does anyone know how you can set the time period that the stock email will keep the already downloaded messages for IMAP email accounts?
Mine never seems to show more than a couple of days worth at a time. I'd ideally like to be able to see at least 2 weeks worth of messages without needing to download them again!
On other phones I've had there was a setting in the menu, but either I can't find it...or it's not there. I've found the setting for how OFTEN it checks the accounts, but not the setting I am seeking.

Currency symbol in email notification

Hi all-
I need to display the currency symbol in the outlook email notification sent by workflow. If the country is US, then it should show dollar sign ($) infront of the amount (like: $ 100)
I can display it for US, but while displaying it for Europe, i am having problem in diplaying the currency symbol. Please provide your inputs.

unless you change it to HTML I don't think you can do this.
There is an SAP note about this "feature"
Maybe they fixed it now, I don't know, so just search OSS on how to solve your problem.
Usually I just use the currency key, USD, or EUR to display values

Query to extract as far as the @ symbol in email addresses

Hello.
I'd like to create a MySQL query to extract everything 'on the left' of the @ symbol in a set of email addresses, plus the @ symbol itself, plus an ellipsis.
In other words, if [email protected] was in the list, I'd like the query to return just this:
johndoe@…
That is, returning just the first part of the email address but omitting the host.
Would anyone like to oblige me by telling me what that query would be?

We have a couple Torch's in the office now and email messages contain symbols where there would be an elipsis ... or dash -.
Any clue as to why this is happening? Default language is English (US).

I want to add the apple logo on my outgoing email signature from my iPhone 3GS. How could i type the apple logo on the iPhone?

I copied the Apple logo included with the previous post accessed with Safari on my Mac, and I pasted the copied logo in a new email message with the Mail.app on my Mac, which I sent to myself to an email account that I access with the iPhone's Mail client. New email in IMAP inbox doesn't show up in Mail.app - must quit & relaunch

I have a 24" iMac 2.33GHz running OS 10.5.7, with several user accounts on the machine. on my account (the main admin account), Mail seems to work just fine.
but on a couple other accounts, although Mail.app correctly shows new IMAP email in the inbox immediately upon launch, it doesn't always seem to notice new mail that arrives on the server later, AFTER the initial launch.
That is, whether the user later presses the Get Mail button or waits for Mail to periodically check for email (preference set to check every minute), it thereafter never shows any new mail arriving in the Inbox - this is even when I know for certain that there are unread new messages sitting in the inbox of the IMAP server (e.g. by confirming separately via webmail interface or via iPhone, but of course leaving the new message unread). This means the user who leaves Mail running in the background all day may never realize he has new email, Mail.app keeps showing no new mail unless he happens to quit and restart Mail later.
I believe this problem only started recently, perhaps after one of the recent system updates - I can't say for sure, but we only noticed this recently. And as I mentioned, I don't see this behaviour on my main account, I see new emails immediately. Also I use Mail.app on a different MacBook Pro and have never observed this behaviour - it is just on my iMac.
another observation, since the problem occurs on some accounts but not mine - I tried deleting the user's com.apple.mail.plist file and reconfiguring the offending account, in case a corrupted preference file was the culprit. but afterwards the problem remained so that doesn't seem to be it.

I'm seeing the same behavior on a couple of the iMacs in our office. Do you know what mail server software you're using? I'm trying to figure out if it's a problem with the server software, using IMAP rather than POP3, or if it's Mail.
We're using Kerio Mail Server. Several of us have been using IMAP for over a year and had no problems. The two who are having problems also have thousands of messages in their Inbox whereas the rest of us never have more than a couple hundred.

Can not figure out why this happens in mac mail. when i used outlook in windows only email would show. in order to see attachment you had to click on paperclip and only then would the attachment (picture apprear).

Yosemite latest update has broken yahoo email from mail.app. Emails won't collect or send. Tried deleting the yahoo account, now I can't re-add it - "an unknown error has occurred"

Did the latest update to Yosemite last night. All day my mail has played up. Either it won't collect email from IMAP for long periods, or sent emails would just sit in outbox then send them periodically.
I've now tried deleting and re adding the account. But it won't re add correctly - I either get "an unknown error has occurred" when I try and add it as a "Yahoo" account, and if I try adding it as "other email account" it syncs up around 300 email messages and then won't work.
Please help, email is a vital cog in my day to day Mac use.

How can I print an email in my inbox without printing its attachment?
I have an email with pdf file attached, when i print this email, the pdf file also print with the main contents of the email.
Also, the attachment printed in the same paper that the main contents print on it.
