I have checked all settings such as domain and DNS connectivity, Sysvol access, Ping check (NetBIOS\FQDN), deleted the computer account and rejoined the server to domain and all other basic

What shall be the next step to figure out the cause?

Hi,
Thanks for your response.
Sharing the netstat output, appears to me high ports are open. This is the only server which has issue, I have some more servers in the same VLAN and no other server has this issue.

  • Issue installing SQL Server 2012(with SP1) on windows 7 Error result: -2067529718

    When running the installation, it suddenly stops without any error popup.
    I ran the installation from the command prompt and this is what I get:
    An error occurred during the SQL Server 2012 Setup operation.
    Error result: -2067529718
    Result facility code: 1220
    Result error code: 10
    I recently uninstalled SQL Server 2012 SP1, because the SQL server service was not starting up, it would just hang in there with no response. I tried many things to get that issue fixed, finally I decided to uninstall and start fresh but I couldn't since
    I was getting an error stating that I needed Windows 7 SP1(which was already installed). I downloaded the
    microsoft fix it tool which fixed the issue.
    On the control panel/Programs and features, I still see that SQL Server 2012 is listed if I click to uninstall again it tells me:
    An error occurred while trying to uninstall Microsoft SQL Server 2012. it may have already been uninstalled. do you want to remove Microsoft SQL Server 2012 from the Programs and features list?
    if I click yes, eventually it will be listed again.
    currently I'm not able to install SQL server again and besides the info provided there are not error messages (I also copied the installation files to disk).
    UPDATE: it appears that the sql server was not completely removed from the system, I still see listed the SQL server(SQLExpress) and server browser services on the SQL server configuration manager.
    Thanks.

    1) First Reboot your server and try again for the installation.
    2) If first fail again than Take a backup of Registry first for safe side and then delete the entries of SQL server 2012 if found take a reboot again and try to install again.
    One more thing if installation created any file then move/Delete that also before installation.

  • Server hangs or freezes during heavy load

    During peak times of the day, especially during heavy load on the Calendar Server,
    the application seems to hang. The client side application will not respond on
    the user's desktop, and uni* commands on the server itself respond considerably
    slow.
    <P>
    There are two parameters in the server configuration file that are strongly
    believed to be a trigger of server hangs or freezes in large deployments and/or
    busy servers. Here is a description of the problem:
    <P>
    Large deployments tend to be 3000+ users per node. This could be a single or
    multi-node environment.
    <P>
    A lock manager fix was implemented in 4.0 to correct a problem that was
    found in 3.51 where the server would hang. At that time, the parameters called
    read/writelocktimeouts
    were introduced as a failover mechanism in case the
    database was not available, which would then trigger the client process to
    disconnect rather than hang the whole server.
    <P>
    These timeouts effectively will terminate a process whose read or write exceeds
    the specified periods. The default of 20 seconds is quite a large amount of time;
    however, it is not totally unlikely that such a value could be met on a
    very busy system. If this is the case, and there is some relation between a
    process being terminated by one of these timeouts and subsequent system
    instability, then the "solution" would not be to extend the values of the
    timeouts but rather to exclude them. This way, it will ensure that no process is
    terminated this way and therefore the process would be allowed to continue until
    it had completed its job.
    <P>
    The timeouts were not removed from the product, but under normal circumstances
    they probably won't be needed anymore anyhow. It seems that on a busy calendar
    server, setting the db timeout alarms may actually trigger the server to freeze.
    Below are some examples of errors that appear in the log files which show
    that the database is no longer accepting client requests:
    <P>
    db_VISTA ERROR -920 -> cst_d_open: d_open
    db_SchedBaseOpen: unable to open database
    probable cause: unilckd is down or "/users/unison/tmp/unisonlckm"
    was removed
    uniengd: database lock timeout
    ITEM: "NA,NA" <0,0>
    CLIENT: "unises", "A.02.80"
    INET-NAME:
    INET-ADDR:
    CALL: "SessionsInfoGet"
    <P>
    To make the fix:
    <OL>
    <LI>Using your favorite editor, edit the /users/unison/misc/unison.ini file.
    In the following section you will see these two parameters:
    <P>
    [ENG]
    writelocktimeout = 20
    readlocktimeout = 20
    <P>
    <LI>Place a "#" sign (or the appropriate comment symbol for your OS) in front of
    these two lines and save the file.
    <P>
    <LI>The server will now have to be restarted in order for the changes to take
    effect.
    </OL>

    This looks similar to what I'm seeing.
    DPM 2010, there's one backup set (for me a file server disk) that every time I try to run the initial replica on it the server hangs and needs to be rebooted by iLO. It doesn't just die suddenly, first the data stream on the backup stops then the OS becomes
    less responsive but there is no resource issue. trying to open event view will cause a few things to lock up then over a few mins the server is complete froze. like the disk drives have been locked.
    Suspecting McAfee, I added in all the exclusions, that didn't help so I added the process exclusions which are done by setting dpmra and csc to low risk and that didn't help either. I could reproduce it just by kicking off a backup for this one file servers
    drive so it's easy to test with.
    Tonight, I had some permissions in EPO to let me stop the scanning completely and disable the on-access scan and for the first time it worked!
    There is definitely an issue between DPM and McAfee beyond what is on MS's web page for AV checks.
    I don't have a workaround yet other than stopping the AV completely... Something to follow up on next week. For the moment I made some progress though.

              Hi,
              I am facing a problem with weblogic6.0 with sp2.I am doing a loadtest on wls6.0.After
              around 40,000th clients acceses the servlet,server hangs forever.
              Whether this may be due to below things----as written in the release doc of
              wls6.0
              " WebLogic Server may hang when used with the HotSpot server VM on Windows NT
              or Windows 2000. Use the HotSpot client VM on Windows NT or Windows 2000
              instead.
              I noticed that memory usage reaches the peak around 40000th client.I ran same
              application under wls5.1 but no problem.
              Please help me.

    Chris,
    It seems to be quite abnormal to have a full GC every 2 mins. Did you
    try taking a thread dump any time. If you take a thred dump, you can
    analyze to see the threads are spending most of the time. It might
    give you a good idea on where to start with and focus. Also try using
    the alternate thread Library found under /usr/lib/lwp. This might help
    some times. I assume you are using Server JVM. If not use Server JVM
    by adding -server to the command line arguments.
    Can you post the ThreadCount and Percentage of threads used as socket
    readers (found under DomainName->Servers->ManagedServerName->Tuning).
    You can tweak these parameters to make the server span more threads
    which will help if you have lot of request coming in and if you see
    lot of queing.

    Hello,
    I have a WLS6.1 environment with (2) JVM's in a cluster on the sameSol2.8 server. While applying a load on the server one of the two
    JVM's will stop resonding and will stack up outstanding requests.
    After about 2 minutes, the JVM will "wake up" and begin to process the
    outstanding requests until it catches up. After an indeterminate
    period of time, the patter will repeat. There are no errors in the
    logs but the JVM's will do a full GC every 2 minutes.
    The listener threads will max out and pile up outstanding requests. The 8.1.7 JDBC connections will go from a typical 4 concurrent to the max limit of 40 concurrent. I cant tell what happens first. The front end, (listener threads)or the back end (jdbc connections).
    Here is the startup parameters

  • How to find out the info regarding Solaris, server hang or shutdown.

    Hi
    As I am handling the Solaris 9 Server remotely.
    As in last week the server has stopped to respond suddenly, we have tried to ping, ssh which was not working. As ultimately we have asked the Data Centre Team to hard reboot the same, to resolve the issue.
    In the same ref I would like to know how we come to know the reason, what caused to reboot the same, i.e . any log file, etc..
    I have check /var/adm/messages, but not found any detail for the same.
    Thanks
    Rajan
    I

    No core files?
    No hope for an answer.
    As you learned in the other Internet forum.
    http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/solaris-opensolaris-20/how-to-find-out-the-info-regarding-solaris-server-hang-or-shutdown.-621500/
    To get such corefiles analyzed,
    you would need to use your service contract and log a support case with Sun.
    They have the special software tools to do that.

  • Stuck Threads Leading to server hang

    Hi ,
    We have been facing a problem with Stuck Threads in our production environment. We are currently running version 8.1. Though the stuck Threads do point to JDBC issues, we suspect that these problems may be related to some Weblogic/OS configuration issue as well. These probelms eventually lead to a server hang.
    The general pattern of the problem is that we see messages like :
    Dec 24, 2006 8:56:09 AM EST> <Debug> <Common> <BEA-000610> < RP(rtqdbConnectionPool):timeoutInactiveRes (20)>

    Sometimes a deadlock Exception would be thrown from the Database,
    nested exception is java.sql.SQLException: ORA-00060: deadlock detected while waiting for resource
    But this is not as often as we get the Stuck Thread messages.
    This is a typical Thread dump from one of our servers when it complained of a stuck thread.

    Hi,
    I guess this issue is related to your connectivity and hyperion services. Can you take a restart and try to execute the reports. Also try to check all your Hyperion services are up and running before executing the FR Reports. You can also check the Reporting services by login to Weblogic server (if you have applied it in your environment). In weblogic it should be in Running mode and not in Admin mode. If it is not in Running mode then try to check the Data Source setting from Connection Pool in Weblogic Server.

  • Server hang up

    Hi,
    Architecture:
    Weblogic Server 8.1 SP5
    Oracle 9.2
    Persistence Manager kodo 3.3.2
    JDK jrockit81sp5_142_08
    We have three modules (in separate ear files) which are deployed to a weblogic cluster. This cluster consists of two domains (hosted on different machines). The modules comunicate by using jms.
    Each module is composed of mdbs, ssbs (stateless session beans) and a work engine framework. The mdbs publish messages to jms using a ssb publisher. The mdb uses a local reference to communicate with the stateless session bean publisher. This ssb uses jndi to retrieve the references to the queues and connection factories that it uses.
    We are experiencing a problem during load testing (only in the clustered environment), the symptom of this problem is that the server hangs. We cannot obtain any logs from the server that even hints at what the problem is. Taking a look into periodic thread dumps during the test it seems that everything is ok.
    We have considered the following as causes of this problem:
    - possible locks while retrieving reference queues and connection factories for publishing.
    The stateless session bean publisher is based on the implementation detailed in the URL
    http://e-docs.bea.com/wls/docs81/jms/j2ee_components.html#1027018
    - Too many accesses to jndi tree to look up the persistence manager factory (kodo)
    Thanks in advance
    Regards,
    Javier

    Hi
    You got your problem resolved. If so, Could you please let me know the solutions. because I'm facing same kind of problem with my server.
    Thanks in advance.

  • File/Storage Errors in Server 2012

    Hi
    We are running Server 2012 (proper, downloaded from licensing portal) and are using it as an NFS server for some of our VM Ware machines.
    Yesterday the NFS storage went offline for approx. 15 minutes, and then came back online.  The following errors are found in Event Viewer, these errors appear to have been happening since 21/08 but this the first time the NFS server has gone offline.
    This error is found in the Applications Log:
    File Server Resource Manager finished syncing claims from Active Directory and encountered errors during the sync (0x80072030, There is no such object on the server.
    ).  Please check previous event logs for details.
    And is accompanied by this error:
    File Server Resource Manager failed to find the claim list 'Global Resource Property List' in Active Directory (ADsPath:
    LDAP://mydc.mydomain.local/CN=Global Resource Property List,CN=Resource Property Lists,CN=Claims Configuration,CN=Services,CN=Configuration,DC=mydc,DC=local). Please check that the claims list configured for
    this machine in Group Policy exists in Active Directory.
    Additionally the following error appears in the System log, but not at the same time as the above:
    The Group Policy Client Side Extension Folder Redirection was unable to apply one or more settings because the changes must be processed before system startup or user logon. The system will wait for Group Policy processing to finish completely before
    the next startup or logon for this user, and this may result in slow startup and boot performance.
    Our PDC is Server 2003 R2, we have a 2008R2 DC and the 2012 server seems to be authenticating with this DC.  There are no errors on that DC.
    Any help appreciated.
    Many thanks

    I thing the following site gives a solution:
    It is a schema problem...
    Event ID 12339 and 12344: File Server Resource Manager failed to find claim list
    Problem: You are running a Windows Server 2012 file server and you see the error messages in your logs every 15 minutes or so.

    Please check that the claims list configured for this machine in Group Policy exists in Active Directory.

    File Server Resource  Manager finished syncing claims from Active Directory and encountered errors during the sync (0x80072030, There is no such object on the server.) Please check previous event logs for details.
    Solution: You can either upgrade the Active Directory schema to version 56 (Windows Server 2012) or safely ignore the error messages.
    If you can update the schema of your domain. Follow these steps:
    1)
    log on to Windows Server 2012 as Administrator of your domain
    2)
    Copy from "support \adprep" in the media of Windows Server 2012 to "c:\"
    3)
    run this command
    c:\adprep\adprep.exe /forestprep

  • Error initializing server: IO Error: The device is not ready

    Hi, I copied JDev 10.1.3 on my notebook and when I tried to start embedded OC4J I get the following message:
    Error initializing server: IO Error: The device is not ready
    What should I do? Thanks

    If I read correctly, you just copy the existing jdev installation on your PC to your notebook. That sounds like a very dubious practice to me. As seen by you in this particular example, hard-coded non-relative paths, host information, environment settings and etc begin to creep into various configuration or preference files once a piece of software go alive.
    Any problem to start a new installation to your notebook?
