Permissions problems, keep changing and can't save from within application

Hi there, we're running Mavericks server on our local network with a half dozen MBP and iMacs connected.
For a wee while now, our users have been getting permissions problems. Documents (Excel documents, InDesign, Photoshop etc.) are becoming read only and we can't save them to either the same folder from within the application. Even ones that the same user has created. The thing is, we can copy the document to our desktop and then back again to the same folder and continue to edit and save normally.
I've tried setting the Access for our "Group" to "Read & Write" but to no avail, this keeps happening. I can login to the server as admin and correct the permissions but they seem to keep reverting somewhere along the line...
Apologies if there's something obvious I'm overlooking.
Any recommendations? Would you recommend just removing all users and groups and starting again? Am I missing something?

Thanks Linc, I have selected the folders that are shared from the Server App "Storage" tab and made sure the permissions are correct and then "propogated" them.
All users belong to the same group we call "material".
Just wondering, should I do this sort of thing when no one is connected to the server? Or should I require that everyone log off and back on?

Hmmm, is Network set to using DHCP?
Go to System Preferences
Click Network
Highlight AirPort and click Configure...
Choose “By default, join: Preferred networks”
Select your access point and Remove your access point with the minus button.
Launch your keychain access in Utilities and delete your access point keychain entry.
Reboot
Go back to the “By default, join:” page and click the plus this time to add your access point. Enter the correct password, save, reboot.
Instead of joining your network from the list, click the WiFi icon at the top, and click join other network. Fill in everything as needed

Every DVD-Video disc contains one byte of data representing a region code, which limits where the disc can be played.

Don't sync each iPhone with the same supported address book app on the shared computer.
There are a number of free email accounts that support syncing contacts over the air such as with a free iCloud account, with a Yahoo account, Gmail account, and Hotmail account.
Do that instead with different accounts for each of you and no longer sync contacts direct with a supported address book app on your computer.

To clarify your answer for Illustrator. The option is not in the "Save As" dialog box.
The correct answer is
Open you CS6 Illustrator file.
File>Save As
The Save As dialog box opens
Type your file name (DIFFERENT THAN ORIGINAL PLEASE!) and the Save as Type is still going to be Adobe Illustrator (*.AI) **This is where the above instructions threw me, as the Save as type drop down does not list anything about versions to save fo)
Click Save
Once you click Save, the Illustrator Options dialog box will come up. The first option is titled Version and has a drop down menu. Select the version of illustrator you want to save your file as here, then click ok.
Your done.
I strongly suggest you give this file a different name than your original CS6 Illustrator version as you may lose some parts of your design in the conversion.

This happens if the file is no longer where iTunes expects to find it. Possible causes are that you or some third party tool has moved, renamed or deleted the file, or that the drive it lives on has had a change of drive letter. It is also possible that iTunes has changed from expecting the files to be in the pre-iTunes 9 layout to post-iTunes 9 layout,or vice-versa, and so is looking in slightly the wrong place.
Select a track with an exclamation mark, use Ctrl-I to get info, then cancel when asked to try to locate the track. Look on the summary tab for the location that iTunes thinks the file should be. Now take a look around your hard drive(s). Hopefully you can locate the track in question. If a section of your library has simply been moved, or a drive letter has changed, it should be possible to reverse the actions.
Alternatively, as long as you can find a location holding the missing files, then you should be able to use my FindTracks script to reconnect them to iTunes .

In Reporting Services, values for LogonUser, LogonDomain, and LogonCred are created when the report server connection is configured to use a domain account. As to the error that “The encrypted value for the "LogonCred" configuration setting cannot be decrypted”,
we can know that it relates to the domain account for report server connection.
To fix this issue, we can refer to the following steps:
Log in to SQL Server Database Engine in SQL Server Management Studio.
Under Security folder, give sufficient permissions for your domain account.
Open your Reporting Services Configuration (go to Start -> All Programs -> Microsoft SQL Server 2005 -> Configuration Tools -> Reporting Services Configuration)
Navigate to the Database Setup tab, select ‘Service Credentials’ as the Credentials Type, then type your domain account and password in there. Press Apply.
Restart the Report Server services.

The above issue discusses some potential workarounds which may (or may not) work in your situation.
Try the latest 8-ea build (available at http://jdk8.java.net/download.html).
The graphics environment is no longer forced to be headless in the java 8 trunk (the jira case I linked is closed as fixed), but it may take a week or two for the fix to propagate to the jdk8 early access download page.
Also note that this kind of call from a JavaFX application to a Swing component isn't really a supported configuration (embedding JavaFX in a JFXPanel in a Swing application is supported, but other forms of interaction between JavaFX and Swing such as JavaFX opening Swing dialogs are not). That's not to say that it might not work, it's just that you shouldn't expect it to work now or continue to work in the future (especially in an applet deployment context where the window handling is more complex for the underlying frameworks due to the browser embedding). Further facilities to ease Swing and JavaFX integration are planned for JavaFX 8 (http://javafx-jira.kenai.com/browse/RT-12100 "Swing components inside JavaFX"), but I don't know if it would mean that the scenario you are trying to achieve would be supported.
A further alternative you might have would be to deploy your application as a Swing application rather than a JavaFX application and wrap your JavaFX content in a JFXPanel. It is likely that opening a Swing JFileChooser would work in such a mixed code scenario, though I have not tried it.

Start your computer in safe mode - Windows Help If you see After effect in safe mode, you can try to create another Admin user account
