Personalized mail forms in portal

hi gurus,
May i know what's the path to view my personalzed mail forms in the pcui/portal? Is it under the Channels tab? and how do i personalize the forms in pcui/portal?

Use SE80 Transaction, by using BSP Application ,Pages with Flow Logic , Select_old.htm right click on it and double click on TEST enter user name and pass word and select CRMD_MKT_EMAIL, Mail Forms it takes you to PCI screen for mail forms in PCI. Hope this may be useful.

Questions about Personalized MAIL Forms

Hi all!
I got some questions regarding the Personalized Mail Forms in CRM:
1. When you set up the subject part of the Form is it possible to "personalize it too"?
What i mean is it possible to add attributes to the Subject for example the target's name etc. etc., just like you can do it in the mail's body?
2. How can you add system attributes to the mail form's body in a Text: i would like to add the &SFSY-PAGE& and &SFSY-FORMPAGES& attributes specially?
3. If i would like to insert a picture which is on my local drive, it's got inserted but doesn't wanna show, only a red cross. What is the possible problem?
4. I got the same problem when i wanna set up a background for the form, it doesn't wanna show. What are the things that i should check about it?
5. When i set up windows (sub or main either) on a page and i set their attributes like width or length those attributes only affect the Form Painter and don't affect the Form itself.
In Smart Forms when you set a window, it's attributes also affect the Form itself and not just the location of the window in the Form Painter.
What i mean is that i would like to set up different windows on a page on different locations ( like a header or a footer one ) but that only appears in the Form Painter, and it doesn't affect the page itself.
Any solution for this?

I created a Personalized Mail Form in Easy access in Dev server but I didnt get any request no just that on showing Mail is save so how should I send that Personalized Mail Form Dev server to Qty Server?

I have a doubt . do we need mail forms whenever we r using send email in ICWC. actually when we are clicking on new email getting short dump which is coming from check_tracking_text method from the mail class.it is trying to get mail_form name but does not find any so giving dump.any help will be really appreciated

Hi,
Personalized mail form can be modified either in the "Design" area or "Source" area of the mail form. There are several options available to modify the mail form through various icons there. One of an important personalized option that is used is e.g. in a mail we need to personalization like Dear X (where X is taken from the BP record) you can personalize by pulling up attributes from Attributes window in the left hand side.
You can also do modifications in the "Source" area of the mail form but in that case you need to be comfortable in HTML programming. Also, you have to ensure that you are using correct version of HTML as SAP is using.

Personalized mail forms restriction to users

Dears,
Do we have an option to restrict certain mailforms to few users ? Say i have 10 mail forms created and i want to make sure that only 5 can be accessed via a certain business role or via a User group ?
Any badi or authorisation object ?

Pictures not appearing in Personalized Mail Form

Dear Friends,
In CRM 5.0 under transaction CRMD_EMAIL when i am inserting Logo/pictures from local desktop by insert picture option appearing in the screen i am unable to do and a blank screen with crossed sign in the corner image appears always, how to insert please help.

Hi sachin,
You can see your picture seperately under Main Window
as picture.
When you click on text under main window you can only see text but not pictures (all the pictures are shown in X mark)
But in preview mode you can see all together in one screen.
You can also test this by usint Channel test to your email ID and check the same once it comes to your mail ID.

Sending Adobe form in perzonalized mail forms

I created a personalized mail form and I want to send the Adobe PDF form of the contract to the customer along with the personalized mail forms.
I know how to send a personalized mail form, but not sure how do we attach the generate the PDF and attach it to mail form through actions.

In your action method first get the FM name for your Adobe form using
fp_function_module_name.
Then you need to call Adobe form FM.Importing lv_formoutput.
Then you need to call bcs interface. sample logic
lcl_send_request - cl_bcs=>create_persistent( ).
lv_pdfsize = zstrlen( lv_formoutput-pdf ).
lt_pdfcontent = cl_document_bcs=>xstring_to_solix( ip_xstring = lv_formoutput-pdf ).
append the mail body to lt_text.
append mail subject to ls_subject.
then
lcl_document = cl_document_bcs=>create_document( i_type = 'RAW'
                                                                                        i_text = lt_text
                                                                                         i_length = '25'
                                                                                         i_subject = ls_subject ).
atach pdf to mail using
call method lcl_document->add_attachment
     exporting
     i_attachment_type = 'PDF'
     i_attachment_subject = ls_mail_sub
     i_attachment_size = lv_pdf_size
     i_att_content_hex = lt_pdf_content.
lcl_send_request->set_documnt( lcl_document ).
lcl_receipient = cl_cam_address_bcs=>create_internet_address( i_address_string = email id ).
lcl_send_request->add_recipient( i_recipient = lcl_recipient ).
lcl_sender = cl_cam_address_bcs=>create_internet_address( i_address_string = sender email id ).
lcl_send_request->set_sender( i_sender = lcl_sender ).
lv_sent_to_all = lcl_send_request->send( i_with_error_screen = 'x' ).

Accents donu00B4t appear in mail form (Mailing Campaigns)

When we execute mailing campaigns there are some not common characters that don´t appear. These are characters with accent, , ..., ñ, ...
guía and the result in the customer mail is gua
and appears #
... and appears #
ñ and appears nothing
I´ve been cheching OSS in French, Russian... but without success because our language is Spanish

Hi Luis,
In the HTML code that you create in Personalized mail form you have to use entities instead of regular accents. (In the Personalized mail form click on the source and edit there directly).

Also, please ensure that the system in which you are viewing email address supports UTF-8 characters. e.g. Eudora email clients do not support UTF-8 and you will continue to get problem of junk characters where you have special characters.

Mail Form Export to Excel

Hi Experts,
I have a requirement to create a file with a list of business partners and corresponding specified attribute values associated with a Target group for a Campaign. The Mail form is used here mainly for File Export.
I have done the required configuration for the mail forms and assigned the usage form to File Export and I have the following Issues.
1 ) How do I assign the Mail Form to a Campaign?
2 ) How will the mail form read the data associated with the attributes (like the BP attribute values associated with campaign for a specific target group) ? Do I have to use a BADI Enhancement for this ?
3) How do I Export the Mail Form data to a .CSV file?
Any inputs on this will be greatly appreciated.

Creating a simple mail form

I want to create a simple mail form using portal. The form must not use the HTML "mailto:", cause this requires a mail client to be installed at the customers computer. So I want to use the UTL_SMTP package. I managed to send mails with this package, but the problem is: how do I build my form with lets say 3 fields, so that i can pass the entered values to the SendMail-Funtion? I tried to create a form based on a table, then add new items and delete the table-based-items, but that doesnt work. I cant access the not table-based-items and found the reasons for that in the forums here. Then I tried to do it with a dynamic page, but I didnt succeed in calling my send-mail-function from the dynamic page. How can I do it?

You can use something like this:
Create two tables:
1) Table1
(id NUMBER PRIMARY KEY, sender varchar2(100),
recipient varchar2(100) ,message varchar2(3000) ,subject varchar2(200))
2) Table2
(id NUMBER , sender varchar2(100),
recipient varchar2(100) ,message varchar2(3000) ,subject varchar2(200))
Here Table2 & Table1 are identical. You can use only one table if you do not want to maintain the history of the mails sent.
Base your form on "Table1".
Now pass whatever values you want to pass you can base it through this form to the table1(I mean INSERT).
Calling utl_smtp directly from here won't be a good idea because your form will hang unless the mail is sent.
So create a procedure for sending mails:
it should be something like this:

please see note 416340 and the
documentation stating on how to insert an image into HTML block.
If you preview the html block with the image, you
will see a square box with a red 'X'. This shows the image was
noted but it was not located. You will have to store the image
locally on your webserver.

How to add Attribute Category in Mail Form - WEB UI CRM 7.0

Dear Friends,
My requirement is to add custom fields to the mail form - attribute page so that IC agent can select these attributes when they create the mail forms. These customer fields are related to Service ticket like Account details, service ticket ID , IBASE details etc.
I read on SAP HELP and got to know that I need to implement BADI CRM_IM_ADD_DATA_BADI to maintain additional attribute but for this, first i need to maintain attribute context ( IMG path is under personalized mails under campaign management in CRM Marketing ). so i created the attribute context.
But i can't see anything related to my attribute context on mail form when i select attribute button, i get nothing in additional fields to insert. Also the BADI does not get triggered.
Can anyone please guide me on this as how to get the custom attributes on mail forms ?
Our requirement is not specific to CRM marketing but generic to give IC agents some Service ticket specific attributes to add in the mail forms.
Please advice as i am struggling a lot on this and i never worked in CRM marketing.

Hi,
Sorry for the delayed reply as notifications were kept off.
I solved it by implementing the BADI, and the same method as you guessed. I also had to maintain the custom attribute contexts with the fields i would like. This custom attribute context will be the filter for the badi and basically you will populate the attribute values in the badi method.
Mail-form help on help.sap.com as well as the BADI and IMG documentations on SPRO are more than enough to get the job done.
I wont be able to share the code as it was complete custom development in relation to auto-escalation emails in SLA and Escalations scenario and the project was completed long back.
