Phone app improvement suggestion
For what it's worth, I thought I'd put this out there. Perhaps someone else has found a simliar awkward experience.
about the phone app, which could easily be improved.
After launching the Phone app, when searching a Contact would it not make sense that instead of having to select the Contact tab at the bottom, than having to tap the Search field at the top of the next screen to launch the keyboard, that instead the icon really should be changed to a Search Contact icon, and upon changing screens to the Contact list, the keyboard should automatically launch. Clearly in going to the Contacts tab you are looking to search. This would speed the process by eliminating one step, and eliminate your thumb having to reach to the top Search field to launch the keyboard. Just is more intuitive in my mind since the purpose of the Contact button in the phone app is really to search a contact.
In fact this is how the Contacts app works (well), and it would add a consistency to the "search contact" process in both apps.
Perhaps this will be a UI modification in 10.2?
There is also the corporate contact information: http://www.apple.com/contact which has email for certain topics and you can attach a screenshot as a jpg file.

i accidentally deleted my old fb app on my iPhone 3g. Now i cant download new fb app as it requires ios 4.3. How can i get old app that will work on my old phone. Any suggestions??? plz help
As already provided, if you don't have such in your iTunes library, on your computer, then there is no way to put it back on your phone. Apps are DRM protected, so even if you found a copy somewhere, you wouldn't be able to use it.

since the last software update, I am unable to add new contacts or change existing contacts - neither if I use the green Phone app nor using the brown Contacts app. Any suggestions?

I thought I had found the offending 'app' namely "Songpop."
I regularly use "Songpop" on my phone late at night via my wifi connection.
All enteries on my phonebill are at midnight (even though I have a data allowance it was excluded from allowance). I switched 3G off on Friday, played "Songpop" at midnight and at the exact time I got a "Server Error" message.
I posted a message on the "Songpop" support forum.At first they said this was a problem relating to my ISP.
I have spoken to my ISP and asked if there are connection drops at the time I have been billed (ie to establish if my wifi dropped and 3G kicked in without my knowledge) and have been advised that there aren't any connection drops at that time.

I lost my I phone but did not have Icloud on it or the find my I phone App...Is there any way to locate the phone without these apps? One would think if location services are on the phone it could be found by GPS from verizon? Any suggestions?
The only way to track is from Find my iPhone. Sorry. All Verizon can do is possibly block it by IMEI so others cannot use it.

Improvement Suggestions - Contacts/Phone List/Calling
To make a phone call, I usually go into my contacts list and find the person I want to call. I then touch the appropriate number and make the call. When the call is over - succesful or not - the screen reverts to the phone app, specifically the log of all calls. This is extremely annoying. If the call has been unsuccesful, the next thing I may want to do is try another number for the same person. The screen should revert to the contact information of the person called. That way the user could simply touch and call one of the other numbers.
Secondly, it is entirely unclear to me why the contacts list under the phone app does not appear like the contact list in the contact app. In the contact app, favorites show up on the top of the list. Why is this not the same in the phone app list? Even in the search screen of the contacts app, the favorites are at the top. Why isn't this so in the phone app? It's ridiculous and incredibly inefficient that they aren't.
Please change both of these items. It makes both these functions so clutzy to use the way you have it now. Inelegant does not even come close to describing it.I don't know the "why".
But they are different. I can see instances where they could be different for many reason.
People use their BlackBerry for much more calling contacts on the phone: Email, twitter, SMS.

Touch bottom bar far left icon for the Call Log (looks the phone receiver with the in/out arrows.
Top of that screen... you should have Voice Mail, and space for Phone Favs, if you've not added any, you;ll see three spots with "Add Number", etc.

How do i insert a splash screen or a loading screen and a application image for a phone app on Dreamweaver 6, 5.5 had the mobile application setting that is seemingly no longer present? and i also heard you can use animanted backgrounds on the mobile application in dreamweaver 6 but figuring out how to set the splash screen and application image like it was in 5.5 would be nice. All i can get to pull up is the web application i developed i am trying to build into a phone app on google chrome, if i could officially designate it as a phone app where i can set each splash screen and app image to where it is recognized as a phone app that would be really nice.
Duely noted, the server will still not connect, so i have left an inquery in the suggested forum.

Cant add Competitors on Mobile Phone App CRM 2015
I'm currently configuring the mobile phone app for CRM 2015 online.
The issue i'm having is that i cant seem to add competitors, either directly or to an existing Lead or Opportunity. Although the entity appears in the lead and opportunity records, it only shows already added competitors (which were added via the browser
or tablet app). I don't seem to have the option to add new competitors within the mobile phone app as the little "+" symbol at the top of the form is not present.
I have the competitors entity enabled for the mobile phone app and tablet app. the tablet app works fine.
I've also noticed that competitors entity appears on the tablet home page navigation but not on the mobile home page.
Any suggestions?Hi,

I'd like to know what could be my bug because I don't understand why I can access from the URL,

I'm not knowledgeable with chmod under Linux, let's say if we give it full accessibility, what will be the result?
Anyway if you can see the image from file system, that already means the upload is succeed, I think you may need get some suggestion from php side to see how can we save the image with a correct permission.
I will move the question to off topic, since the question is on the server side but not client side, which is out of the forum support scope, thanks for your understanding.

Phone app won't start intermitantly
Hello. So the phone is caught up to the latest firmware, but I'm having intermitant problems where the phone app, the ipod app, and several others occasionally won't start. I lauch them, wait a few seconds on a black screen, and then end up back at the main menu. Try again and it usually works.
So this isn't debilitating, but it is annoying. Anyone have any suggestions for what to do, or any diagnostics I can run? I recently did a full reset/restore as well, but it didn't help either...

I have a windows HP computer with windows 7 installed, when I try and update and restore my phone, I get an error message of there is not enough space on your computer to restore your phone. Any suggestions and help is appreciated.
You need to discard or save to an external disk and then discard some of the stuff we all tend to keep forever (movies, music, pictures, docs, apps no longer used, etc.). A clogged up disk also does not function ideally either.

I cannot access my voice mails. I can't get to voice mail either through the phone app nor the viooice mail app. When I try I get message the "can not complete call as dialed."t Any ideas?

Voicemails are a vital part of having a working phone. We do suggest that you look at the contact and then the number to make sure that it is *86. If you are needing to get your voicemails until then, please dial *86.

Since I have upgraded to iOS8 (which is currently up to date with iOS 8.1) the phone app occasionally stuck.
Meaning:
- I can make calls and receive.
- I can ask siri questions
- I can go to notification center
but I can't move between apps pressing home button does not perform anything! when pressing the lock button and again it returns to the phone app and not to the lock screen.
The issue started on my iPhone 4S and now it is reproduced on my new iPhone 6|
Any suggestions/upcoming fix?

You might try a forced shutdown to begin with, hold down the top and home buttons together until the device shuts down, then restart it.
