Phone Blog page is loading wrong

I recently updated this website: http://cmmconstruction.businesscatalyst.com
On the phone version only (Blog page only too) - the header and objects created in muse seem to shift smaller than 100% which only happens when there is an iframe on the page.
Things I've tried:
- Make the iframe width at 100%
- specify the iframe width less than the width of the page
- put iframe on separate layer below the objects created in muse
could the problem be the coding from Tumblr theme?
Any solutions would be much appreciated, Thanks

Not really. I do see that in the blog page there is a section commented  -   <!-- Media resizing --> -  in which there are overrides for the iframe size if certain media sources are shown. Don't have the time to check the entire source, but there could be similar overrides involved further down. Just a thought. Like you say, the code coming out of Muse seems fine. My first test would be to eliminate the blog URL from the iframe and put something else in it - something really benign like a 'Hello world' page. If the iframe behaves, then you'll have a clue that it's something in the blog's code that is causing the problem.

  • Blog page in iweb site not responding or linking like other pages

    Hi
This is a new issue for me. I have multiple pages that I created in my iweb site through my personal domain ... studio8films.net
All page hyperlinks will work properly, but the BLOG page seems to stall and when I look at the bottom of the window it is trying to access www.me.com where ALL THE OTHER PAGES show the access to web.mac.com
Can someone tell me why this is the case? It doesn't make sense. And it is a new issue.

    Furthermore ...
When the BLOG page finally loads, I click on the 'add comment' and a message comes up that says 'We're sorry. We are having a problem processing your request.
Is there something going on with mobile.me and iweb blog pages or is there something wrong on my end?

  • Blog page loads slow and scrolls wierd on windows operating systems

I have 2 sites in my iweb with 2 different domains, I started a blog page as a new site and pulished it but when I go to a PC to read it loads really slow and when you scroll down it takes forever even after explorer shows the site as done loading. I tried a couple different PC's from different places and I get the same result. My other page , the 1st site I created, loads just fine and you can scroll through it just fine. what I am doing wrong on the second site?

Blog pages tend to have a lot of content and this can prove too much for poor old IE. Either reduce your content or optimize your files before uploading.

  • 2 pages not loading on phone and tablet

Not all pages work on phone and tablet for my website... thegreatlifecookbook.com
The desktop layout correctly loads on the phone and tablet, but the buy now page and the cookbook page are blank.
No problems with the site on the computer.
Have any ideas? Thanks so much....////Julie

It appears you created Tablet and Phone layouts in the Muse Plan mode, but never put any content on the pages, and then published. Thus when you visit your home page on a desktop device you get the desktop layout (which appears correct) but when you visit from a phone or tablet you get the Tablet or Phone layout from the Muse plan view. Those are blank.
You'll want to Page > Remove Alternate Layout for the Tablet and Phone layouts in Muse and re-publish, so your site is no longer re-directing to blank pages when loaded on a Tablet or Phone.
In the future if/when you create a complete Phone or Tablet layout and re-publish, your site visitors will automatically be directed to the layout appropriate to their device (and it won't be blank since you will have created a device specific alternate layout).

  • Can't load Calendar, Reminders, Find my Phone or Pages

I login to iCloud on my macbook pro running mavericks. At the iCloud home page, when I click on Contacts, Reminders, Find my Phone and Pages, I get a message that says "Unable to load" message. I click "Report" and another page pops up that says: "There was a problem loading the application due to a possible network error or missing resources. Please try again. DETAILS: By clicking "Send to Apple you agree that apple will collect and use this info.........etc.", I then click on the "Send to Apple" button.
    Can anybody help me?

Hmmm, odd. I was using my 2009 MacBook Pro earlier today, and wasn't able to access 5 of the icloud apps. Just migrated to a new MacBook this evening and I can access every one of the apps on that page. Old computer is running 7.0.3, new one is 7.0.2. I hadn't tried using the new one to access the iCloud apps until you said give it a try.
Thanks so much. I wonder why I couldn't access the apps with the old computer but I can with the new one even though its running an earlier version of Safari??? Any ideas?

  • Google Books: cannot view book's pages, says loading for a long time. No problem in IE or Chrome. Settings wrong somewhere?

Once I get to the page of a certain Google Book text, the pages are not visible. If I search for text, I can see the yellow highlight but not he text. The pages say "loading" forever and do not load. In IE or Chrome there is no problem. All the pages are visible. • My blog page alignment on Safari is wrong although it's fine in iWeb.

Varkgirl and James — I have emailed you both a screenshot of my iWeb blog page and my Safari blog page.
The iWeb blog page is on top of the Safari blog page (the same blog page).
You will observe that whereas all of the text and pictures are centered on my iWeb page, the Safari page has the picture and the text way farther to the left, right against the left margin.
    THE SUSPICIOUS THING:
On my iWeb blog page, the horizontal spread of the margins combined with the text space is very very wide. Wider, it seems, than other pages.
About a month ago I noticed that the text and picture were far far to the left but the reason for it remained a mystery to everyone. Today I figured I would go back, turn the page white so I could check for margins, and reposition the picture and text. I did that.
In spite of clearing the cache and the history and going to an outside, the page as you see it on the screenshot remains with the text and picture jammed way to the left.
    HERE IS MY CONCERN:
I could live with this; it's not that bad looking. But I always suspect that little things such as this could be little signals of impending doom. Like when your brake pedal starts getting soft... you know that if this keeps up, you're going to go flying off the cliff while careening down the 405 Freeway.
This makes me anxious because there is no explanation and thus no fix, and only the suspicion of future catastrophe, about which I can do nothing. 8-(

    Lorna,
I checked your blog page. Here is the URL...
    http://web.mac.com/lorna6/iWeb/Website%20of%20Lorna%20
    Alexander/Stories,%20Fantasies%20Blog/Stories,%20Fanta
    sies%20Blog.html
    Everything looks centered to me.
OK, good. That means that the end product is OK........ and the only irregularity is that wide blog page.......... wider than my other pages. I will do what you said. And the page looks oK now because I went to iWeb, changed the page to white so I could SEE, expanded the width of the work space including margins, and re-centered the picture and text. the margins are much wider apart on this page than on the other pages.
I hope this is not the equivalent of the brakes going soft............

  • IWeb pages, blog pages, tags and html snippets

I use Rage seo tool and Bluehost
Can I add tags to blog pages to support seo?
Now that Google bots look for "structured data" in pages, can I add an html snippet to pages containing something like:
    <div itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Organization">
       <span itemprop="name">Noosa Therapy Studio, Doonan</span>
       Located at
       <div itemprop="address" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/PostalAddress">
          <span itemprop="streetAddress">92 Marnie Cres</span>,
          <span itemprop="addressLocality">Doonan</span>,
          <span itemprop="addressRegion">Noosa</span>.
       </div>
      <img itemprop="logo" src="http://www.noosatherapy.com/Logo.png" />
       Phone: <span itemprop="telephone">(07) 5471 1752</span>
       <a href="http://noosatherapy.com/Therapies" itemprop="url">http://noosatherapy.com/Therapies</a>
    </div>
Or am I on the wrong track?
    Thanks

The code you provided is not meta code. You don't paste in the head of the webpage.
Well, you can paste it there and the browser will render it.
It's code that should be in the body of a webpage.
And if you paste it there, make sure the info is correct.
    This :
    <a href="http://noosatherapy.com/Therapies" itemprop="url">http://noosatherapy.com/Therapies</a>
    should be :
    <a href="http://noosatherapy.com/Therapies.html" itemprop="url">http://noosatherapy.com/Therapies.html</a>
And I wonder if SEO is so good.
If I search for Noosa Therapy Studio Doonan
    http://www.google.com/search?q=Noosa+Therapy+Studio+Doonan
I do find your post in this forum. And also your Google+ page. But no pages from you website.
But if I search with :
    http://www.google.nl/search?q=Noosa+Therapy+Studio+Doonan
I find two events from May last year :
    Noosa Therapy Studio Events
Noosa Therapy Studio, Doonan opens for business
Note that .nl is from the other side of the globe.
No wonder I wasn't at the event.
Also note that I used the words from your webpage: Noosa Therapy Studio Doonan
It means I know about you. Because you advertised your business in the forum.
Also, if I want to find one who does The Therapy in Doonan Queensland, I still do not find you :
    http://www.google.com/search?q=Noosa+Therapy+Doonan+Qld
Perhaps your business name and domainname is not very unique. With 72,700 hits it looks like everybody is doing it in your area.

  • I cannot get into my emails via firefox as onlt the first page will load. I can get in on google chrome. I have wirked through the troubleshooting sheets.

My emails are on Talktalk.net. I have used Firefox for several years with no trouble but at the end of 2013 only the first page would load from firefox. I contacted talktalk and they got me to reset firefox which worked for a short time. When i contacted them a second time they said the fault was on the browser. Based on comments on M support i updated from version 22 to 26 but with no change. I have today worked through the troubleshooting sheets as far as i am able with no success. I can get at the emails from my phone and via google chrome but not from firefox

  • How do I invoke an ActionListener on a page when the page initially loads?

How do I invoke an ActionListener on a page when the page initially loads?
Page 1: A user clicks on a h:commandButton and is navigated to Page 2.
Page 2: When the page loads and goes through RESTORE_VIEW, APPLY_REQUESTS and RENDER_RESPONSE, I need to call an ActionListener in the managed bean for Page 2.
However, if the user comes in from any other page than Page 1, the ActionListener cannot be invoked intially when the page loads. The user has a choice to click on the h:commandButton on Page2 to invoke the ActionListener.
What is an example of invoking a method with the ActionListener signature in Java code?
Where would I put the code to invoke the ActionListener, in a beforePhase or afterPhase, constructor?
    Thanks,

Interesting. You're right. It doesn't happen when I click away from this site and then return. Maybe I'm barking up the wrong tree. Maybe it's the specific website I was thinking of and not Firefox. Unfortunately, I have to use that site all the time for work. I'll try contacting their webmaster. Thanks for your help.

  • Pages not loading completely with JavaScript enabled

This just started in the last day or so. I have Safari extensions disabled.
When I go to the ThinkProgress.org site/blog, I'm getting an incomplete page unless I disable JavaScript. With JavaScript, I'll get the first post on the blog, but nothing else. With JavaScript off I get the site looking pretty much normal.
I get a similar problem if I go to Economist.com and click to read one of the stories. In that case, I get the story's headline, but it cuts off before the text of the article, right after a link to Tweet the story. Again, disabling JavaScript allows the page to load correctly.
I suspect some third-party service is providing a script, which broke in the last day or so, but nobody's paying attention because of the Holidays.
The problem doesn't appear to effect Chrome. Safari was upgraded to 5.0.3 in November, but this problem is more recent than that.
    Has anyone else seen this?

    Hi Jonathan,
    Go to the Economist.com site.
From your Safari menu bar click Safari / Preferences then select the Advanced tab. Select the box next to: Show Develop menu in menu bar.
Now click Develop / Disable Runaway JavaScript Timer.
See if that makes a difference.
Otherwise, check Safari / Preferences - Extensions or try disabling Safari plugins, Safari / Preferences - Security.
And delete the cookies associated with those url's in Safari / Preferences - Security. Show Cookies

  • How do you change the "read more ..." in the Blog page to something else?

I'd like to change the "read more ..." in the Blog page to say something more relevant to my site. How can this be done?
I searched the forums and found an earlier response to this question, but I don't quite understand it:
Find index.xml.gz file (open: Macintosh HD ->
    Applications -> iWeb -> Contents -> Resources -> e.g.
    English.lproj -> Templates -> Blog -> e.g. White
    Blog.webtemplate -> index.xml.gz).
Open file and edit it in TextEdit. Replace all "read
more..." with your own text. Delete index.xml.gz file.
I'm a little confused by this reply. To open the index.xml.gz file within the app, do you navigate there with Terminal.app, unzip it, edit the file with Text Edit, then re-gzip it?
Second, why do you delete index.xml.gz afterwards?
And third, will this need to be redone each time iWeb is upgraded?
Has anyone tried this and know if this is the correct way to change the words, or is there some other way?

This tedious process actually edits the template xml file within the iWeb application, so that it becomes the default with the template. I haven't done this before, so I'm the wrong person to advise on this.
I tend to like to do things that are on a simpler scale. You can always make a text box with an opaque background color that matches the blog template background. Then type something else into that text box, like "click here to see more of me" Then position this text box over the standard "read more" and link the text to the blog entry.
The downside....you'll have to do this (at least position the text box and change the link) each time you add an entry.

  • Font problem in excerpts on blog page

    Hi everyone!
When I create a new blog entry, the font style that I choose is fine on the entries page, but not reflected in the excerpt on the main blog page. This wouldn't be a problem except that I and many of my readers are sight-impaired, and the font that won't change is very, very pale. I've tried everything I can think of to rectify this, but no luck! Is this something that I'm doing wrong?
    iMac   Mac OS X (10.4.6)

    Patricia,
I downloaded and modified your Blog.css file, you can download it here:
    http://www.geocities.com/[email protected]/landis_mdi/Blog.css
I changed the font and made the font color darker. You need to do:
    1) Locate your Blog.css file in your iDisk, it should be in Blog_files folder.
    2) Rename the current Blog.css file to ~Blog.css. In case you would like to reverse the change.
    3) Place the modified Blog.css file in Blog_files folder.
Open your main Blog.html and refresh the page to see if that's what you like.

  • Adding a photo gallery to a blog page?

I see the last queries about being able to do this are from 2006.  I'm wondering if it is any easier now.  I'm creating a website for a film series project.  I used a 'blog' template so I could easily manage about 20 separate films (without having scores of pages to deal with).  Right now each of those 'blog' pages has a large number of free floating photos (shots from the film).  They take too long to load.  I'm wondering if I could create a photo gallery instead, ON the blog entry page, that would contain the pics, and allow for fast loads?
Just wondering how one might create a photo gallery on a 'blog' entry page.
    Ben

Having looked at your site, I would say that you layout is very artistic and would be completely ruined by using a photos template.
DPI doesn't realy come into it as this is used for print. iWeb does have image optimization but its better to turn it off and reduce the image to the dimensions (in px) that it will appear on the web page before dragging it into the app.
If you want to maximise the SEO and make the pages more interesting for us humans, I would add descriptive captions to the images and put them in the spaces between the staggered image layout.
If you are comtemplating designing for mobile devices, you need to use every trick in the book to to reduce file sizes and cut content to the bone.
I have been using responsive designs for quite a while now and learned a lot of hard lessons along the way on what works and what doesn't on mobile devices. Some more examples HERE.
iPads are big enough for a traditional website to work on them as long as you pay attention to making the links and other user controls finger sized. I did figure out a way to make an iPhone compatible site using iWeb if you are interested...
    http://www.iwebformusicians.com/iWeb/Mobile-iWeb.html
I must admit that I detest Wordpress although there are some responsive desgns available now. I did a test with one of the free ones but its a total pain and there doesn't appear to be any plugins for HTML5, responsive media players. I had to figure this out all on my own. If you click the Blog button on this page you should get there.
