Phone keeps asking for password on an Apple ID I never created.  Won't reset password.  Never get email.  Birthdate incorrect.  What do I do?

Phone keeps asking for password on an Apple ID I never created.  On my sons phone, it keeps asking for his password for a supposed Apple ID I NEVER CREATED!  I've tried every combination of passwords I can imagine and every route I can think of.  It won't let me delete the account until I can sign in with that password.  Somehow, the find my iPhone has created a loop that won't let me do anything after loading ios7.   It won't even let me delete all contents or settings without the password!  When I ask for it to reset my password, no email comes....  I don't know what to do!  Please help

In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iTunes account on your iOS device, you need to sign out of the account from your iOS device first, then sign back using your updated details. (Settings > store, scroll down and tap your ID)

  • Although I have not set up a voice mail password, my phone keeps asking for one. How do I turn that off?

Just bought an iPhone 5. Although I did not set up a voicemail password, it keeps asking for one. How do I turn that off?

I believe once you set and input the password on your iPhone it will NEVER ask you for it again, unless you restore your phone as a new device.
So, set a password, input it, then you shouldn't see that popup anymore.

After the Hacking saga of earlier in the week I managed to restore my phone to the last back up now when I click on an app it asks for my apple id and pass word I enter and the message disappears then I go to open the app again and the pop up box comes back   any ideas

Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new).  Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.

  • Exchange password, what is it and why does my phone keep asking for it?

For the last two days, my phone periodically wants me to enter an exchange password.  This is the first I ever heard of it so can't figure out what it is.n I though exchange was a Microsoft product so what's it doing on my Apple iPhone.  I just upgraded the 3GS phone to iCloud.

make sure you don't have 2 step verification in gmail.
    otherwise you need to follow
    Signing in using application-specific passwords
The codes that you’ll get with 2-step verification don’t work with all applications. There are a few applications that use information from your Google Account (like the Gmail application on your phone, or Outlook) that require another type of code. These are called application-specific passwords.
Some devices and applications that use these special passwords include:
POP and IMAP email clients such as Outlook, Mail and Thunderbird
Gmail and Google Calendar on smartphones
ActiveSync for Windows Mobile and iPhone
    YouTube Mobile on Apple devices
    Cloud Print
Installed chat clients such as Google Talk and Adium
3D Warehouse, Sketchup, and installed applications
    AdWords Editor
    Sync for Google Chrome
    Gmail Notifier
How to generate an application-specific password
Unlike a verification code that you receive from your phone or through Google Authenticator, application-specific passwords are generated. You don’t have to memorize them, ever - you simply generate a new one each time you need to sign into a particular application. Follow the steps below to generate your application-specific password:
Visit the Authorizing applications & sites page (pictured below) under your Google Account settings.
Under the Application-specific passwords section, enter a descriptive name for the application (label 1) you want to authorize, such as "AdWords Editor – Desktop," then click “Generate application-specific password" (label 2).
You'll then see the application-specific password you just created (3). You'll also see the name you wrote in for the device (4) and a link to Revoke (5) -- or cancel -- the code.
Once you click Done, you’ll never see that application-specific code again. But don't panic: You can generate a new one whenever you’re prompted for an application-specific password by a non-browser device or application -- even a device or application you’ve authorized before.
    Using application-specific passwords
When prompted for a password when you sign in to a non-browser application or device that accesses your Google Account:
    Enter your username.
Enter your application-specific password in the password field.
If your application has an option to remember your application-specific password or stay signed in, you can select that option so you won’t have to generate and enter a new application-specific password each time you access your account from this application or device.

  • My phone keeps asking for an apple id and shows random emails on the screen as the user, anyone else?  how do i get rid of it?

It shows me 5 or so emails when asking for the id and password.  Even if I enter mine, it will not work.  Seems like a virus or something.  This pops up every 3 minutes or so

    There are no viruses.
My work email does this every now and then. I've never found the solution but suspect occasional problems at my work computers. This happens on my Mac.

  • HT5312 i am trying to make a download in itunes and everytime i try to download it asks for my security questions. i answer the questions with the correct answers but it says they are incorrect, what is the problem?

i am not able to get there because the questions keep popping up

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include clicking here and picking a method for your country, phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, and filling out and submitting this form.

  • My phone is not notifying me of some text messages and phone keeps asking for apple id password when in messages, what's wrong with my phone?

My phone sometimes does not alert me when I get messages from certain people, and is constantly asking me to put in my password for my apple ID. I have only done it once, but the prompt immediately popped up again, and is really just a major nusaince. I don't know what is going on with my phone because it also keeps freezing and won't even lock. It's just so frustrating at times.

  • HT201269 I changed my email address for iTunes & iCloud, but my new phone keeps asking for me to sign in with my old iCloud email and password.  Does anyone know how I can fix this?

I had to change my personal email address that was linked to my iTunes and iCloud.  According to the information in my Apple ID, it is switched over.  My phone, however, disagrees with me.  I keep getting a pop-up asking me to sign into my iCloud account, but it has my previous email address Apple ID information displayed.  When I look in my settings under iCloud, it still shows my old information and I cannot see any way to change it.  Any ideas?

You need to check icloud on the phones setting you will see the old email there
Follow these step to a T
Change apple id back to old email
    sign out in settings
then chnage back to what u want the account to be
    WIN

  • Phone keeps asking for a passcode when notifications come up after i swipe to go directly to app

I updated and everything seemed to be fine but when I started getting notifications and swiping to go directly to them they phone still goes to my passcode lock and I have to type in my password everytime.  Any help?

Um... that's because you have a passcode set on the phone... It wouldn't be much good if you could bypass it just by swiping a notification, would it?

Itunes support recently updated their account security so that your billing address in your account must match the billing address of the credit card you are using, as well as how it appears in the USPS database (
http://zip4.usps.com/). Try making sure your address matches exactly and it should allow you to use your account.

    ?

Select None for payment method >  iTunes Store: Changing account information
If None is not available > Why can’t I select None when I edit my payment information?
Yes, you can redeem an iTunes gift card for current purchases.
