Phone needs constant resetting
I have a iPhone 5S and everymorning I am unable to receive or send texts and unable to make or receive phone calls. I have to tuern the phone off and then back on and it works fine until the next day.
Been there, Apple has a trouble shooting for this kind of problem. 3.1 worked for me.

Did you not have a passcode prior to it being reset? Did you give those people your passcode so they could reset it?
Sounds too fishy, sounds like you found a phone that doesn't belong to you that has a passcode on it. -
AirPort Express needs constant resetting?
I think my AirPort Express is on its last legs. Today a friend of mine came over with his Windows laptop (don't ask). Before we tried anything, I used the AirPort Admin Utility to add his MAC address to my access list and uploaded it to the AX. My AirPort Express network did not appear in his whatever-it-was Windows network utility. So, I used the AirPort Admin Utility to take my WPA2 Personal password off (the name of the network is open, so it still should have appeared in his list). Then the AirPort Express stopped passing the Internet to my MacBook and iMac. I was unable to get even the AirPort Admin Utility to see my AirPort Express after that, but the network was still available in the AirPort menubar.
I tried un-powering the AirPort Express and plugging it back in. That didn't help. I ended up plugging the DSL modem directly into the iMac and getting back on the Internet (as I am now with Internet sharing and the iMac's AirPort card) so I'm certain that my Internet access is fine and the DSL modem is fine. I ended up doing a soft reset, and hard reset but neither would bring the AirPort Express back to life. I did a factory reset and then I could use the AirPort Admin Utility to put my settings back in, one part at a time. But the AirPort Express won't pass along the Internet with my WPA2 Personal password enabled. And after a second or third update/upload of settings the AirPort Express becomes completely inaccessible without yet another factory reset.
I got the AX the day they were announced, so it's been humming along for more than two years now. I do have an AppleCare Protection Plan for my Mac mini, so I think the AirPort Express is covered with that. But, if there's anything else I can try before calling Apple, I'd like to give it a whirl.
-DougEven after a week of messing with it on my own, calling AppleCare Support got it back up and running. We didn't do anything that I hadn't already tried on my own, so I'm not sure exactly what it was that "fixed" it. But, the AirPort Express is now back up and supplying the Internet to my three Macs with all the original settings again.

160 GB Ipod needs constant resetting in car.
Hey hopefully someone can help me with this. I have a 160 GB ipod and i play it in the car all the time. Everytime I plug it in, the ipod goes to some sort of car play mode and just starts playing the songs in order and i cant skip or even pause it. If i reset the ipod with it plugged into the car, this stops and plays normally. Anyone know how to get it to stop doing this? Its pretty annoying. Thanks in advance.

BEFW11S4 v. 4 needs constant resetting for connection
I have two linksys products -- a BEFCMU10 v2 modem and a BEFW11S4 v4 router. Between two households, I have given MAC ID access to five machines (4 laptops, 1 iTouch).
It seems as though the computers (especially our neighbors') have connectivity problems unless I turn the power off and on -- sometimes once a day, sometimes more. Sometimes that works right away (like this morning), but not always. Usually I just flip the power strip, but in hopes of figuring out what is the culprit, I just unplugged and plugged the router today. That connected my laptop immediately.
What's the deal? The neighbors don't have access to this manual switch-flipping reset, so they're getting restless. I have no hardware expertise, so I'm at a loss...

Open the setup page of the router using 192.168.1.1 by putting the password as admin with username as blank & under the wireless section change the channel.
And also you can try to upgrade the firmware of router by logging on to www.linksys.com/downloads -
WRT54G Ver 6 Constant Need To Reset!
I purchased a WRT54G Ver 6.0 Router in April to bring to Iraq with me. I have it connected to my iDirect 3000 Satellite Modem, with the static IP config input into the WRT54G.
I have two computers on my desk, my personnal XPS 1710 with Vista and my Work D600 Latitude with XP. Both computers exhibit the same problems at the same time. I have even had other computers connected and have had the same problem.
My problem seems to be a constant need to reset the WRT54G Router. I was connecting wirelessly. The system seemed to operate fine for a day or two. I started to have problems with the connection to the internet dropping. When it did this, I could not connect to the WRT54G setup page either. I figured something locally here at the Camp in Iraq might have been interfering with the wireless, so I ditched the wireless and have been using wired connections. The problems have not stopped. I am constantly having to unplug and reset the router to reconnect. When it hangs up, I cannot even connect to the setup page. Occasionally, it will find itself without reseting the router, but most times, I have to reset.
I have tried factory default reseting and manually reentering my settings. I have just updated the firmware, but it didn't seem to solve anything. In the past few minutes while trying to search for this problem here on this forum, the router dropped the connection twice. The networking icon on the computer still indicates a connection, on the Vista is shows that a local connection is available only (during the problem).
I have read a little online and this seems to be a common problem for Linksys. I have 2 more of these routers, one at home and one at my office in the States. Both have had the problems, just not as severe. This router requires reseting at least 15 times a day during my 12 hour shift.
I bought the Linksys Routers because they did have a reputation for reliability and quality. Boy, I guess I should have researched this one a bit more.
I have 5 IP addresses from my Satellite ISP, so I am considering configuring the Router as a Switch or HUB, but I am unsure on how to do this, or of it will even solve my problems.
Any ideas?

It started about a week ago, (just like alot of others I have read on here recently) and I too will have no access to the set up page once it drops the net. I can still acess other computers on the router, but no net and no router set-up page until I reset it. I'm running the same router, without the firmware update. I have 4 desktops directly into the router..and one laptop wireless. Most of the time, the net will stay on for all the computers for surfing and email. Maybe once or twice a day it will drop access to the internet. a simple unplugging of the power cord resets it and everything is peachy. BUT....try to start a download.(usind DAP *download accelerator plus* or a bit torrent)...WHOA! it's anywhere from an instant drop to maybe ten minutes then drop. Most assuredly it will drop. we have had this router since January, and until a week ago, it worked just fine. no problems. Last week, our ISP upgraded their equipment and increased the bandwidth. (we have to use a cellular connection with a static IP being out in the boonies far enough that cable and DSL are still not available) The problems started at the same time and I thought it might be a problem with them. After testing one of the computers with a direct connection to the internet modem, everything, including a major download, worked just fine. It is definately a router problem. I spent quite a lengthy time on the phone with Linksys tech support, and the nice lady had me change the MTU rate from 1500 to 1300. It seemed to work, but about an hour after being done with the support call, things started to go wonky again. I am just about at my wits end!! Nothing has been changed on the router settings except that one thing that tech support instructed me to do. I am kinda leary about upgrading the firmware because I have been seeing a ton of *my router wont work with firmware update* or *now my router is frozen* posts. I have to type in a ton of settings because I am using a static IP and I really don't want to do all that again!! lol PLEASE, somone have a solution to this problem! It is driving me mad!! I would really hate to have to buy a new router, but my roomate is about to that point if this doesn't get fixed soon.

After researching this, I understand that I will need to reload iTunes on a new computer, deactivate the prior computer and authorize the new computer with iTunes. I can then restore any apps and music purchased through iTunes. (Insert Question 1 Here.) Then Sync the phone with the new account, taking care to do it manually so as not to overwrite the information on the phone. This should restore the apps and music to my phone. (Insert Question 2 Here.) This process will not restore photos (Insert Question 3 Here.) I would like to over write my current phone calendar (start fresh remove all appointments) and have it sync with a different iTunes. (Insert Question 4 Here) .
Am I forgetting anything or misunderstanding anything? Thank You!
Question 1: Apple help states that you can download previous purchases directly to phone with iOS4.3.3. Then later states that iOS 5 or later is required for iPhone (CDMA Model). ON this page http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519 I am still running Version 4.2.1 on my iPhone 3. Will this cause difficulty with restoring apps and music (purchased through iTunes) to my phone?
Question 2: What happens to data stored in the apps within the phone? Like password information stored in Splash ID, Files Stored in Air Sharing, or photos stored in a separate app (not the standard photo library)?
Question 3: Will the photos in my iPhone standard library be deleted when I sync? Does anyone know of a way to save them other than emailing them to the computer, prior to syncing?
Question 4: Is it possible to have my calendar and contacts sync at my office computer and have the other items sync to my personal home computer? How does that affect my restore process? I want to ensure the contacts are NOT deleted, but I want the calendar to be overwritten and start fresh.The software update process does not touch any user data or settings. Fact is, merely updating your software should not have deleted your contacts. Something else is going on here. First of all, the only signed firmware available for your phone is iOS 4.3. So, how were you able to update to iOS 4.2.1, since that is no longer available from Apple? First thing done when you update software is an iPhone backup. Included in that backup are your contacts. Connect your phone, iTunes running, DO NOT SYNC, right-click your phone in the left device pane & select "Restore from Backup". Select the backup made when you started to update your phone. Note: this will also install iOS 4.3 on your phone.

I have an iphone 4s on my itunes account & added my daughter's new ipod touch 5th generation. Now everything from my iphone is on her ipod & still on my phone too, even my phone # shows up as her ipod. How do I separate the 2 devices? Do I need to reset her ipod? If so when I plug it into the computer won't it happen again?

Well, it appears that your backup is corrupt, thus causing your issue. So, you'll have to restore as a new device, & not from backup. Follow this by syncing your content back to your phone:

My 3G unlocked iPhone is not syncing mail or contacts from my mac book pro, using Lion. I am able to get a calendars and music, only. I get the message that I need to reset the password which I have done 3x's on the phone and on the Apple server.
Good to know that, but what can I do to get the mail and contacts downloaded from Icloud onto my Iphone? I am told that the password needs to be reset and I have erased and reset it 3x's already? Should I Restore All Settings or Restore Network Settings or will that result in a situation where I have to have it re-unlocked again? GRACIAS!

Does TV Shows show as a category under the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage on your Mac's iTunes ? If it does, and that series is still in your country's store, then it should show there and you can download it from there (click the cloud icons) onto your Mac's iTunes library - you can then sync the episodes to your phone.

I had whats up installed on my 3g I phone. I was trying to upgrade my software to 4.3 and I was told that I had to wipe my phone and then reset to factory settings. I did that still could not find an upgrade for 4.3 and now my phone is telling me that I need 4.3 to install whats up, when It was previously on the same phone....help anyone?
You need to either reload a compatible version of it from an iTunes library which contains it, or sell the iPhone and put the money towards a newer device. An iPhone 3G can't be updated past 4.2.1.

After I hv upgraded os 6 on my iPhone 4, iPhone hung up at least one per day. After u press "End" 2 times at fast speed ( i used to do this in the old os without problem) or when u slide to unlock - the screen suddenly enlarge . I need to reset the phone whenever this happen. Pls help

I have a problem that my phone only vibrates but does NOT ring any more. No matter what I try to do with settings turning off "silent" or whatever nothing helps. Do I need to reset. what are the consequences of resetting?
