Photo booth gone..

Hey, Uh i made a desktop icon for photo booth and when i didnt want it anymore i put it in the trash and i deleted the whole thing. i dont have time machine and i already checked the finder for it but its completely erased. Is there anything i can do to get it back?

Photo Booth gone please help!

I dont know how this happened, but after emptying the trash stated to hang, I force shut down my MacBook, and now Photo Booth is no where to be scene. I can not find the Photo Booth installer on the MacBook restore disc. Please help!

Have you looked in Macintosh HD/Applications whilst in Finder or gone to spotlight and done a search. To use spotlight either goto the little magnifying glass in the top right of your screen and type in Photo Booth and hit enter or hit  (Command) + Spacebar and then type in Photo booth and hit enter. Please note you have to put in the space between Photo & Booth.
If it still happens to be on your Mac, Open it, and once its in the dock (ctrl + click) and select (Keep in Dock)

I have recently updated my macs software then been onto Photo Booth and realised that all of my pictures/videos have been deleted and are not in iPhoto? Im not sure where they have all gone?

Photobooth and iPhoto are two quite different apps with no connection between them. I'd try the Using Mac OS X forum for whatever version of the OS you have.

Photos from Photo Booth to Folder gone

I exported the photos from photo booth to a folder on the desktop and then deleted the photos off photo booth and now its gone from the folder also. but for some reason its not on the trash bin. is there a way i can get those photos back?

..i was searching the forums and empty some of the files of the Photo Booth appl,but still same thing.The funny thing is if i drag the picture to the desctop,it stays.But in Skype now shows some address,where to find the shot taken..And it was not like this before??

Photo Booth is gone

I can't find Photo Booth, it is off the dock, can't find in in applications, it is nowhere to be found. Please tell me where else I can look or how to reinstall it. My family and I miss it. Thank you.

It would seem that either someone moved it (not a good idea for any OS X app) to a different location or deleted it from the disk. As all users if they can show you where it has gone.
If you cannot locate it on your disk and move it back to the Applications folder, you can reinstall Photo Booth in one of three ways I can suggest. They are listed below in order of how easy reinstallation is to accomplish:
(a) Restore from a working version on a backup disk
(b) Use your Mac's install/restore DVD to reinstall Photo Booth (or all bundled applications).
If you need help, see the instructions in the User Guide that came with your MacBook.
(c) Alternatively, if you want to reinstall ONLY Photo Booth,
you can use Pacifist to install only the Photo Booth app.
Once you have Photo Booth back, you can add it back to the dock by merely dragging the Photo Booth application iCon from the Applications folder to the desired location in your dock.

Camera, FaceTime, photo booth are gone.... What's happening

I have been using the iPad for a couple days, and I realized that the camera, photo booth, FaceTime icons are gone. What's happening ?

I'm having a similar problem. The difference that the restrictions are disabled and I still don't have camera, facetime or photo booth. When I enable restrictions I can't event turn the camera or facetime on. Not able to select on or off.
Any ideas? The iPad mini was purchased one day ago.

All my Photo Booth images have gone - after power cut!!

OK, I was on my iMac when a power cut effected the whole street. I don't know if I had Photo Booth open at the time but now I've noticed after I logged back in that all 50+ images in my Photo Booth timeline have gone. It now says 'no images' at the bottom.
Where the **** could these have gone? Also, I was silly enough not to back any of them up...gutted

I've just looked in my Photo Booth folder where the images are kept and they are all there!! It would be nice to get these back into the 'timeline' at the botom of the PB app, does anyone know of this can be done at all?

If you can't find them on any of your homescreens or app folders (and it's not a first-gen iPad which doesn't have those apps), and you can't find them via the spotlight search screen (swipe your first home screen to the right), then are they hidden by Settings > General > Restrictions > Camera being set 'off' ?
If not then have you tried a reset to see if you can find it after the iPad has restarted ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
To update the iOS version, connect the iPad to your computer's iTunes and copy any purchases off the iPad to your computer via File > Transfer Purchases. You may also want to copy photos and any important documents off the iPad as well e.g. via the file sharing section at the bottom of the device's apps tab when connected to iTunes, via wifi, email, dropbox etc - they should be included in the backup, but it's best to have a copy of them outside of the backup just in case. You can then force a backup of the iPad by right-clicking the iPad 'Device' on the left-hand side of iTunes and selecting 'Backup'.
Then start the update by selecting the iPad on the left-hand side of iTunes, and on the Summary tab on the right-hand side clicking the Check For Updates button

A first gen iPad should update to iOS 5.1.1 (it doesn't support iOS 6) and an iPad 2 (and 3) to 6.0.1 (which are the only versions that are 'signed' by Apple) - updating an iPad 2 or 3 to you will remove the built-in YouTube app and the Maps app will change.

Video on skype not workin only in facetime and photo booth appears to be a common problem amongst user with a recently bought macbook air

Video on skype not working. Only functioning in facetime and photo booth. Seems to be a common problem amongst users having bought a new macbook air recently. When you go to Preference and click on audio/video item video works but when clicking on another menue and returning to audio/videio picture is gone. Understand has something to do with a recent update von Apple (10.8.5... missing file for 32 bit version).
Anybody there to give me an advice?

Photo Booth is not working

I have used photo booth in the past but now when I click on its icon in the dock, nothing happens. Any ideas please?

Thankyou for your reply. I followed your advice and downloaded pacifist and then went in search of the missing files. They were found and I installed them BUT, when I restarted my computer, I had encountered a major problem. The computer continuously flashed the finder and desktop windows and was totally unresponsive to any commands. The only way to stop was to hold down the power button. On restart, the same problem existed - weird! In desperation, I reloaded Mac OS and the problems have gone. I even have PhotoBooth back.
One final question. Can I now delete the 'Previous System Folder' that was created during the reload of the system software?

Yosemite Photo Booth

After I upgraded to Yosemite my isight webcam is always too dark. If before on photo booth the image was clear even if there was a bit of light now it doesn't...even on skype is the same...is there some way to fix it?
My macbook pro is a mid 2014...never had a problem with maveriks.

I am having issues with Logitech 920. Mac no longer seems to support this camera (which I bought only a few months ago.)
Have gone to Logitech Site. No help.
Can you supply a list of cameras that are supported. I need to purchase one quickly. I am using Sparkbooth and
am constantly using my photo booth for parties.

Photo Booth and a few Browsers wont open

A few days ago i changed my home screen,I moved everything from the Old Home to the new, Then Logged out of the Old and Into the New and deleted the Old. Then I had to repair permissions and then go to Get Info and Unlock permissions on almost everything (Change to read and Write), Then i discovered Photo Booth and a few Browsers wouldnt open. So i did a repair permissions again, Then it still wouldnt work so i re-installed the OS which is Snow Leopard (July 2006 Mac Mini Core Duo) and im STILL haveing the problem.......The Browsers are saying "Your Firefox profile cannot be loaded. It may be missing or inaccessible" Other browsers reaing the same, but NO PROBLEM with Safari and OmniWeb will open but wont remember Bookmarks............What do i do Next? thanks in advance

i dont remember doing that, but wouldn't re-installing the OS fix that ? i re-Installed the OS yesterday, And i went into repair permissions in disk utility right before that. I have also gone into get info and made sure everything is read and write...what else is left that i can do ?

New Photo Booth effects??

I installed Leopard earlier on today (Family license) on both my iMac and my MacBook. I thought both installations had gone perfectly smoothly, but it transpires that the new effects in Photo Booth haven't been installed on my iMac! =(
They've been installed fine on my MacBook, but they're just missing from the iMac installs... (the version is 2.0 (70) on each machine)
Anyone with any ideas? Or can the new effects not run on a G5? =/

Correct, the new PhotoBooth effects only work on Mactels.

Photo Booth can't find its pictures.

Hi all,
Yesterday I was cleaning up my 'pictures' folder and decided to move the Photo Booth folder to another folder within 'pictures' that I had named 'private photos'. However, this morning when I made the customary self-portrait all the pictures in the Photo Booth 'film strip' (at the bottom in the window) where gone! So I open the finder, see that Photo Booth has created a new folder with the same name within 'pictures' which is empty. I drag my 'old' Photo Booth folder back to where it used to be and are asked if I want to replace the new one. I click 'yes' and everything looks like before in the finder. Restart Photo Booth but the pictures are still not in the film strip!
So I run Maintenance 3.8 to repair permissions and all that. Didn't help.

From What I've found.. it seems 3ivx or Perian could cause this problem. A friend had this issue and deleted 3ivx and it fixed his crashes. Alternatively, some folks are reporting that turning off 32-bit mode (Get Info) for Photobooth has also fixed, although this was already turned off in my friend's case. Or if you have iGlasses installed.

Photo Booth and Stickies?

I just updated to the Snow Leopard and now my Photo Booth and Stickies say that I can't use their version with this update. I've gone searching in the App store and looked around on the Apple site and can't seem to find the updates for these 2 programs.Help!

Both Applications come with SL, there shouldbe no need to do anything. Something went wrong.
Run the 10.6.8 Combo Update. This is a fuller install, as opposed to an incremental "delta" update so it should overwrite any files that are damaged or missing. It does not matter if you have applied it before.
Remember to Verify Disk before update and repair permissions after update from /Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility.
EDIT: If you moved any applications out of your /Applications folder to another location, or put them in an enclosing folder within /Applications this can cause problems on updates.
