  • One Form 10g takes long time to open

We have created one form using Object Library and all objects are inherited.
It takes long time to open as compared to other forms which are inherited from Object Library.
Anybody having any idea. It would be great if somebody can provide some help

This form contains 3 tabs and one tab is completely inherited from Object Library (the whole block, items etc). I have tried to remove this inherited tab then it works better. So i think its definitely something to do with object library.
    Thanks alot.

    Run an Apple hardware Test:
    support.apple.com/kb/ht1509http://
You may have to use OPTION D to start it.
    See what that picks up.
You may also bring the MBP to an Apple store or AASP for a diagnostic evaluation.

  • Webi report takes long time to open

    Hi All.
We have created few reports in webi and we have used variables in these reports.
But while opening that reports into BI Launch pad browser, it is taking long time to open. e.g. 5 to 7 min or more.
Please help to resolve this issue.

    Hi Anand R,
A couple of questions from my side:
    1) Does the webi report contains any chart
    2) Are webi reports which are slow only on a single .UNX
    3) How about the network.
    4) Are you using IE
    5) Are you in 3.x or 4.x
Could you try any of the below:
    1) Increase Tomcat memory pool to 4096Mb
    2) Stop and restart Tomcat once.
    3) Try with other browser
    4) Use something like Fiddler to understand the network speed
    5) Delete cookies in the browser
Try the other options told by our SCN colleagues aswell..

  • Application front panel takes long time to open

I have an application that will open quickly on one computer and takes a long time on another.  What is happening is the icon is displayed in the task bar but the front panel will not open for some period of time.  Both computers are running Windows 7 and the application was built in LV 2010.  The applications main purpose is capturing images from a USB camera. The communications to the camera is done using .NET components that were developed by the manufacturer of the camera.
I was hoping somebody could give some ideas on where to start troubleshooting?
    Terry
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

I've had this exact issue on a computer that couldn't access the network.
It is because .NET is trying to access the network. Can you run this application on a computer connected to internet ? I believe you have to uncheck some options
Control Panel --> Internet options --> Advanced
I believe the three I unchecked were: "Check for Publisher's certificate revocation", "Enable Integrated Windows Authentication", and "Check for Server certificate revocation". I am not sure about the exact 3 I unchecked, but give it a try. Good luck !

  • When I need to open a folder on the desktop takes long time to open, so it is with the hard drive?, I'm using Maverick

The system boots without any problem, applications without a problem when I'm on the desktop and I need to open folders taking forever to open and for a moment I open and blocks other thing that the colored circle appears, use ten folders on the desktop where I'm keeping this information and take process and lock the desktop makes my job a little slow, and does anyone know anything about all of this as repairing system error?

Have then select one of the photos and type Command+i. In the Info window that comes up check to see which application is set as the default application. If it's iPhoto therein lies the problem. Regardless of what is set for the default select Preview and click on the Apply to All... button. See if that will fix the problem.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger or later), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 6 and 7 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. Just put the application in the Dock and click on it whenever you want to backup the dB file. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.
Note: There's now an Automator backup application for iPhoto 5 that will work with Tiger or Leopard.

  • RDS 2012 R2 take long time while opening first application

    Hello experts:
My RDS Environment Have the following servers:
1- Two web access server ( RR DNS )---> virtual machines
2- Two Connection brokers servers (RR DNS) ---> Virtual machines
3- Two host session servers combined as a farm ---> Physical machines with 128 GB of RAM for each server
4- There is no gateway server.
5- The Active Directory is 2008 R2 while the RDS is 2012 R2
My problem is when the users try to access published application they faced a long time ( around 1 min ) to open the first app, the subsequent app open quickly, the problem on when launch the first app.
I tried the following in order to solve the problem with no luck:
    - Edit the registry and add DisableTaskOffload with value =1.
    - Disable the large send offload v2 IPv4 on all NIC's.
so the problem still exist and i didn't found any solution for it, any help or suggestion will highly appreciated.

    Hiya,
I'm afraid I don't have a environment to build the exact script on, however I would think the below script should be able to help you:
    http://jesperarnecke.wordpress.com/2013/07/24/sharepoint-2010-mysite-preferred-search-center-setting-powershell/
The above script really just opens an IE and navigates to the specified page. Finds the different required elements on the page(View Source to find) and manipulates them as required. ().Click etc.
You properly need to add a Username and Password, in order to login, which the script should be able to handle fine. Do consider the risk of storing username/password in cleartext. - Its not necessarily a problem, but it could be if the account needs elevated
privileges. However in this case it should just be a service user with 1 app to start :)
Let me know if it helps you :)

Thank you for the details of the issue you are experiencing with Wi-Fi on your MacBook Pro.  I would be concerned about this too.

  • Large file takes long time to open

I'm not an Illustrator user.  I work in IT.  One of our Illustrator users is complaining that it takes about 10 to 15 minutes to open a 500MB file.  She has the latest hardware and 4 GBs of RAM on Windows 7.  She is on the latest version of CS5.  I just installed it a month ago.  CS4 was doing the same thing, so we bought new hardware and CS5.  I'm wondering if this is normal for such a large file to take this long to open?

John is probably on to something, but then again it may be normal even when opened locally - AI's memory management simply isn't that great and it also doesn't progressively render partially opened files, so it waits for the whole file to be loaded before even giving you a shred of a preview, which, depending on what features are used, by itself can take forever....

  • Cortana takes long time to open and when its open ,it closes faster, I can´t write anything in the cortana search box

i upgrade from windows 8.1 to windows 10 technical preview

    Hi CEDRICCR,
What is the version of Windows 10 build you are using?
If you are currently running Windows 10 build 10041, you 'd better take a look at the blog posted in Windows blog website:
Windows 10 Technical Preview Build 10041 now available
    For Cortana:
Cortana is expanding into new markets on the desktop: Cortana now also works on the desktop in China, the UK, France, Italy, Germany, and Spain – in addition to the U.S. For you in these new markets, look for her to help you find the things
you need and proactively bring you information that you care about. Currently, Cortana will help you search for apps, settings, and files as well as search the web. Cortana learns your preferences and provides smarter recommendations over time. Cortana is
still fairly new to the desktop but we are continuing to fix bugs and add new capabilities all the time.
As Cyber suggested, make sure you have installed all the needed Windows Updates, and if issue still insists, submit through Windows Feedback.
    Updates and feedback
    Best regards

  • Sucessfully compiled Amaya, but takes long time to open upon launching

I just compiled Amaya from AUR, didn't notice any showstopper errors, and the package was built sucessfully. After installation, I noticed there was no GNOME menu entry, so I just ran it from the run box, but it takes at least 15 minutes to open.
I have checked the System Monitor, and it has two processes
    Process Name Status Waiting Channel
    amaya Sleeping do_wait
    amaya-bin Sleeping poll_schedule_timeout
    Anyone else experiencing this?

I just installed amaya from the aur and it seems to do the same here. I've been waiting for at least 20 minutes. No idea how to approach this problem though...

Saurabh SharmaI have also found following reason for slow speed of connection :--
    1. Jinitiator(loaded with IE browser) and Terminal service do not work well together.
    2. Every image which is tranfered over SSGD Behaves as a bitmap image . Which take time to load and the changes also transfer very slow.

    Hi Experts,
Admin Console proceeds to step 10/10 very quickly then pauses for
nearly 3 min before it finally presents the BPC Admin screen. Is there
some log file or some maintenance we need to do to help it load more
    quickly?

  • Takes long time  to open exported HTML

I've set up my exported HTML captivate project to run after
10% is loaded, but I'm seeing strange/funny behavior:
-Preload screen shows for approx 10 secs (this is fine)
-Then first slides is displayed (good so far)
-Then everything hangs for 45-60 seconds while the rest is
loading (I want this to start playing after 10% is downloaded).
The second slide is an imported AVI file. Does this mean that
the whole thing needs to download before it is played?
    thanks!

    Hi MikeCrockerMike
I'm just hazarding a guess here, but I'd guess that the
reason we see 60% as the default for the preloader is because that
may be the percentage that seems to work best overall. I'm also
guessing that it's the video on the second slide that is causing
the issue. I would think you could fairly easily confirm that by
simply injecting a few slides immediately before it. Then test and
see if they play and you end up waiting on the video slide.
    Cheers... Rick
