Photo Gallery Blacks Outs

I have found that some times when I zoom into a photo the screen will black out but if I double tap to zoom out to normal it returns but will refuse to show a zoom unless I restart the phone.
It has also on occasion just gone black and not let me zoom out to normal preview at all. I gue

Camera Roll Blacked Out

I upgraded to 4.1...everything seemed to go ok but when I looked at my Camera Roll, all of my photos were blacked out! It's like a black sheet is over my photos. All the photos are still there but I can only view the photos I saved "after" I upgraded. If I just touch a spot on the blacked out sheet...one of my photos will show up...but I can't get rid of the "black sheet" over my photos!!!

Yeah, with 4.1, I guess you could say "black sheet happens." The only way I got rid of it was to transfer all the original images to my laptop and then transfer them back into an album. Of course, then I found out that "sideways sheet happens" too.

Is there a way to change the WHITE background color of the photo gallery/COLLECTIONS to BLACK. IPad 4 ios 7

As a Professional Photographer, I chose to buy an IPad 4 for only one reason and that was the amazing color and clarity of the Photo Gallery as a mobile Portfolio.
Originally the background color of the IPad 4 Gallery was BLACK and this facilitated the photos greatly, photos look better and stand out better on a BLACK background. White backgrounds cause a glare eminating from the edges of the photo and cause iris in our eyes to close down, degrading the quality of the photo being viewed.
I updated to ios 7 and now my IPad 4 has a WHITE background, which is unacceptable for viewing photos.
HOW DO I CHANGE the WHITE background on the Photo/Gallery/COLLECTIONS to BLACK?
Apple should ALWAYS give USERS/OWNERS of their products control of such details. IT'S JUST GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Vancouver22 Thanks for your help... the SLIDESHOW turned black for me automatically when the slideshow began. That works most excellent!
Now if I can just get the White Background to STAY BLACK, this might not be as painful as I feared.
My IP4 does lag slightly, but not enough to set fire to it yet.
The gallery/COLLECTIONS/ALBUMS are the most important thing to me.

Can I take out the underlines in photo gallery?

Can I take out the underlines in photo gallery? I mean the underlines for "Back to Album", "Previous" and "Next". I understand they are functional but I just don't think they look great with the whole composition. Thank you!

This might work:
Create a dummy hyperlink on that page and set the color, rollover color and underline options that you want on those links. Click a couple of times on the *Use for New Links on Page* button. Delete the dummy hyperlink and republish. That should change the links you mentioned.

Photos blurred or blacked out

Hi,
Having a bit of a crisis with my iPhone 4, on iOS5
Today I took a series of photos, I think about 30 or so, including some video. I took a mix using the from lock-screen option, and some direct through the photo app. At lunch I took some more photos and noticed that some of the pictures were blacked out in the camera roll thumbnails. I thought this was odd, so restarted the phone, and then saw that all the photos from today were blacked out.
The photos themselves are blacked out too, trying to email them to myself seems to crash the camera roll, or load an email with the blue ? box of a non-image. I've taken a few photos since then, some have worked and stayed in the roll, some have been very blurry, and some have disappeared. I can't even take a screenshot as that dissapears too.
Having done some searches on this, only seen people discussing it with iOS4 or to do with issues after a synch - I've definitely not synched it and it is on 5.

Had a very similar problem. Mine were either blacked out or heavily pixilated. I did the following and it worked. Hope this helps you.

The only thing that I would add is when I first did this, when it said to reset I did a Lock/Home reset. When I opened photos they were the same and when I opened iExplorer the files were still there. So I deleted them again and did a soft reset and when my phone came back up I opened my Camera Roll and in about 5 seconds all my photo's were there and you could view them like normal. Very easy and you do not have to restore your phone!!!

HELP - Photos black out

I have a job I have to finish soon, and when I play back part of the video with pictures, the picture blacks out completely, and when it gets the transition, you see the photo for a split-second, and then the next photo is completely normal. This happened to around 5 photos, the problem is, is that it keeps happening! I am able to take the opacity to zero on the problematic photos and bring it back to 100%, and re-render, and it usually works. Any way to REALLY fix it?
I have a similar problem. Sometimes in between transitions the photo blinks really fast while in the middle of the transition. I mostly see black.

I applied the Dip to Color Dissolve, on the photo before and going into the next photo. The photo that comes second in the timeline, blinks twice. This keeps happening to various photos. The photos that they happened to were either scanned or taken by a digital camera. Do you think I should call Apple regarding this.
Btw, I have an 8 Core Mac Pro, with 2 GB of Ram and my mac goes really slow when I am using Motion and Final Cut Studio simultaneously. I'm going to purchase more ram. I'm wondering if it makes a difference if I'm using an additional 2 GB of Ram or 8GB. Will I notice the difference?

Help with creating a photo gallery?

im trying to create a simple photo gallery. all i need to
know is the lingo so that i can rollover a thumbnail of an image
and it appears in place of a black box.... any help would be much
appreciated.

what code do you already have? Maybe we can help you modify
it where it's not working.
Also, how do you have it currently laid out? eg. do you have
several images on the screen, but some method to scroll through
other images? Have you done a search here or on director-online.com
(in the forum or articles section) on similar questions? Do you
have something written up to describe what features you need such
as a design document?
Just trying to get a sense of your level of programming in
general, experience with Director and what planning/details you
have worked out so far because there are so many different ways to
program a gallery.

Can't get photo gallery to work

Whatever help anyone can give me, is very much appreciated.
I'm a novice to Dreamweaver and coding, and just can't get the
photo gallery to work. I've printed out and studied a lot of Adobe
Spry tutorials & samples but still can't figure out what I did
wrong. When I try to preview the gallery from Dreamweaver, nothing
happens.

The XML file in the "_notes" folder is generated by DW for
synchronizing your local and remote copies of the website. You can
ignore this completely, as it has nothing to do Spry, and only has
to do with DW managing your site. You can even delete _notes or
turn them off in your site profile and it will have no effect.
However, if you have your testing server set up in the site
profile, you'll need to "put" all your files to the testing server
before hitting F-12 or "preview in browser" as all the files might
not be over there.
There are too many variables as to guess why it might not be
working for you, but it's going to be a more simple set up issue,
and likely not your Spry work.
Can you navigate directly to the folder where your files sit,
and let IE or FireFox open the HTML file? That might just show you
that your files are working correctly by removing DW from the
equation.
Again, there are many things that might not be set up
correctly in DW that could cause a site or page to appear to be not
working. I strongly suggest finding some tutorials on site profiles
in DW so you can get them to work with you, not against you. The
dwsync.xml is part of DWs site management power.

Problem integrating slideshowpro flash photo gallery into existing page

Hi, I have a photo gallery made with slideshow pro which you
can see on the page

All the files are located in a directory on the server root called
slideshow. However I would like to put this flash animation onto an
exisiting page in the root namely
http://theoldfort.com/picture_gallery.htm.
That way it will have the same layout as the other pages. I tried
exchanging the flash animation from slideshow.htm to
picture_gallery.htm and then included the subdirectory name
(slideshow/slideshow.swf) in the path but didn't succeed.

The code is there and its black but not loading for whatever
reason. I included the swf on that page with the path,
slideshow/slideshow.swf. The files for the flash animation are
located in the slideshow file on the website server root... I think
it's something mixed up in the code but I can't see what it could
possibly be.

Photos missing, black thumbnails in iOS5

Here's the problem. I'm noticing that in my camera roll there are a bunch of all black thumbnails that should be actual images. If I try to open the black thumbnails, they are all black (i.e., the thumbnails aren't the only thing messed up). In addition, some of the thumbnails are grey images that look like they have a frame around them.
I've had the phone hooked up to iCloud and photo stream and have disconnected it from icloud and neither seems to make a difference. I can't figure out a pattern as to which pictures are missing. In addition, the missing pictures do not appear in photo stream either. They are just black thumbnails of pictures that apparently can't be retrieved. I also noticed that in my camera roll some of the thumbnails are out of sequential time order.
When I have photo stream on, there are no black thumbnails in it. Some of the black thumbnails (but not all) from the camera roll appear fine on my laptop. I have it connected to photostream to automatically sync new photos (windows 7). However, this doesn't account for all of the missing photos, which was my first theory.
It seems like there are a lot of people with similar problems, but I haven't heard it described this way and I can't figure out a pattern to when the images are missing.

Had exact same issue on my wife's IPhone 4 IOS 5, had a back up of most of the photos and was only the last weeks that were "missing"? so was feeling brave and followed the steps in the below links and deleted the 3 files using iexplorer rebooted and it restored all the photos and rebuilt the thumbnails list.

Help with code for inserting horizontal scroll bar in photo gallery in Business Catalyst site?

I am using Business Catalyst and Dreamweaver to create a trial site.
I am not sure if this is the correct forum to post this request but anyway I have inserted a photo gallery module at the bottom of the sidebar in the homepage of my test site.
Can anyone advise on whether jquery or any other code can be inserted into the page or module code that will replace the "next" hyperlink below the first 4 photos with a horizontal scroll bar at bottom of the gallery so users can just scroll through all 12 images ?
