Photo Mail Crashes
Every timne I try to use Photo Mail Elements 10 crashes. I am getting so sick of $80 upgrades for crap that doesn't work as advertise!!
Of course, now that PE 11 is out no more help for PE 10. What a company this Adobe has turned into. Just awful!!
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks
You can try running Organizer in Compatibililty mode. TO do so, follow these steps-
- Close Organizer if open.
- Locate 'PhotoshopElementsOrganizer.exe'. By default it is present at '%programfiles%\Adobe\Elements 10 Organizer\'
- Select the file and right click and select 'Properties'
- Switch to 'Compatibility' tab
- Select check box 'Run this program in compatibility mode for:'
- Select 'Windows XP SP3'. Click 'OK' (See the screenshot)
- Launch Organizer and try Photomail workflow once again
See if this helps.
Thanks

PSE 9, "photo mail" crash windows 7 64-bit
Help. I just upgraded from pse 8 to pse 9. I tried to perform a "photo mail' function... and crashed. Have crashed several times in trying to generate a photo mail to email. I recall doing this under pse 8 last year.
Any help to be had?I am having the same problem. i am running Windows 7 64 bit and upgraded from
elements 8 to elements 9 and now i get the cursed 'unhandled exception error about halfway through running 'Photo Mail'. It crashes when the program tries to load the border templates. Very annoying!
can anyone please help?
thank you. -
I highlight the photos I want to share, go to Photo Mail, select the addressees and press "Next". I then get the error message: "Elements Organizer has stopped working" and I have to close the program down.
This is obviously a bug in the program and needs fixing. Has anyone else encountered it and found a solution. (I might add that the same crash happens if I try to use the "Email attachments" function.)Hi,
Are you running on a Windows system?
If so, use the windows explorer to navigate to one of the following files according to your system.
64bit system: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Elements 12 Organizer\PhotoshopElementsOrganizer.exe"
32bit system: "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Elements 12 Organizer\PhotoshopElementsOrganizer.exe"
Right click on that file and select Run as Administrator then try your email again.
You should only have to do this once.
Good luck

Elements 10 organiser... CRASHES when using photo mail
I select the photo, click next and program instantly crashes.
Further email attachments does not work. Brings up an email window which i've not seen before and says no email account assigned. Yahoo is my default client.I’ve found it usually works best with web mail via Adobe after obtaining verification. I know some email services block bulk email completely and I’ve only tested it with Gmail which works fine. Should also work with other web mail e.g. Yahoo and Hotmail. Before you start it will help to check your internet security settings. If they are set to High, reduce the settings to Medium temporarily. Then follow these instructions.
1. Log in to your mail provider on the web and add the following email to your address/contacts book.
[email protected]
2. Open Organizer and on the menu click:
Edit >> Preferences >> Sharing
3. Choose Adobe Email Service from the client dropdown menu.
4. Add your name and email address to the fields provided and click OK
5. Test the system (first use only) by selecting a photo in organizer and choosing Share >> Photo Mail then click Next
6. Choose a contact then click Next
7. Click Next Step, then click Next - the sender verification dialog will open.
8. Check you have spelt your email address correctly and hit the Resend E-Mail button.
9. Go to your inbox (also check spam) and when the Adobe mailer message is received copy (Ctrl+C) the long verification code.
10. Return to the verification dialog and paste it (Ctrl+V) into the Sender verification field and click OK. Wait for validation confirmation then click OK to continue -
I'm having trouble sharing with photo mail in Elements 11. When I click Next after checking my recipients Elements 11 crashes (locks up). My email address shows up correctly and has been verified. Any suggestions?

PSE 7 Crashes During Photo Mail Steps
After installing PSE7, and repeatedly attempting to create a photomail with different photos, PSE7 crashes at the step where you go from selecting the images and writing your message to the step where you select the type of photomail template to use. I have a brand new Vista PC so I know I don't have an legacy issues. Tried this repeatedly with different photos and it always crashes at this point in the process. No way to elegantly recover.
What's up with this? Anyone else having this problem?I have several Adobe products and use them often; been Adobe faithful for several years... I experienced this problem right out of the box with the new release - and as others have had this same problem, it frustrates me that Adobe did not do a good job of quality control (testing) of their product. I have to believe that photo emailing is a very often used feature, and that Adobe would anticipate that folks will be upgrading from prior versions of PSE. I manage software delivery for custom developed applications, and while I realize the reality is that companies release apps that have some percentage of bugs in them, my experience with PSE feels like I've got a beta candidate. I paid $80 for the upgrade and within my first minute of using the application I run into a bug with no workaround solution, at least at this point.
Not good Adobe. Not good. -
Mail crashes after a re-installation of 10.9.4
I had some issues with my MacMini Server that I had taken into desktop use. I think it had originally 10.6 something + server. I had upgraded the os to 10.9.4 the normal route and decided to do a re-install 10.9.4 on a cleaned startup drive. I did a clean install and then used migration assistant to load apps and settings. Data is on an other drive & NAS.
After reinstall and restore, I did have some hickups with my old data drive, where the user directories are located. I had to run sudo chown to reclaim ownership of the user directories and get access to them.
All seems to pretty well except mail crashed initially every time I try to send a message. It just froze. Then I found a reference to deleting ~/library/containers/com.apple.mail, which I did. This resulted in Mail crashing at startup.

I do not know if these are of any use, but I would appreciate educated guesses on where to start for a solution.Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
Step 1
For this step, the title of the Console window should be All Messages. If it isn't, select
SYSTEM LOG QUERIES ▹ All Messages
from the log list on the left. If you don't see that list, select
View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar at the top of the screen.
In the top right corner of the Console window, there's a search box labeled Filter. Initially the words "String Matching" are shown in that box. Enter the name of the crashed application or process. For example, if iTunes crashed, you would enter "iTunes" (without the quotes.)
Each message in the log begins with the date and time when it was entered. Select the messages from the time of the last crash, if any. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message by pressing command-V.
☞ The log contains a vast amount of information, almost all of which is irrelevant to solving any particular problem. When posting a log extract, be selective. A few dozen lines are almost always more than enough.
Please don't indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.
Please don't post screenshots of log messages—post the text.
☞ Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting.
Step 2
In the Console window, select
DIAGNOSTIC AND USAGE INFORMATION ▹ User Diagnostic Reports
(not Diagnostic and Usage Messages) from the log list on the left. There is a disclosure triangle to the left of the list item. If the triangle is pointing to the right, click it so that it points down. You'll see a list of crash reports. The name of each report starts with the name of the process, and ends with ".crash". Select the most recent report related to the process in question. The contents of the report will appear on the right. Use copy and paste to post the entire contents—the text, not a screenshot.
I know the report is long, maybe several hundred lines. Please post all of it anyway.
If you don't see any reports listed, but you know there was a crash, you may have chosen Diagnostic and Usage Messages from the log list. Choose DIAGNOSTIC AND USAGE INFORMATION instead.
In the interest of privacy, I suggest that, before posting, you edit out the “Anonymous UUID,” a long string of letters, numbers, and dashes in the header of the report, if it’s present (it may not be.)
Please don’t post other kinds of diagnostic report—they're very long and rarely helpful. -
Downloaded PSE 9, photo mail stopped working in PSE 7, help!
With some trouble I was able to download trial version PSE 9. I already had PSE 7. I attempted to e-mail pics using photo mail in PSE 9. I had to select e-mail system and it would send a confirmation number. No number arrived. Went back to PSE 7 and it stopped working. How do I fix this?
I am having the same problem. i am running Windows 7 64 bit and upgraded from
elements 8 to elements 9 and now i get the cursed 'unhandled exception error about halfway through running 'Photo Mail'. It crashes when the program tries to load the border templates. Very annoying!
can anyone please help?
thank you. -
IPad photo app crashes when zooming into pictures
I have about 15 GB of photos on this iPad- and the photo app crashes any time I try to pinch to zoom into a picture. anyone else having this problem? what's the deal? works sometimes but crashes 2 out of three times.
Did you get any fruitful answers from an Apple Genius? Sure wouldn't mind saving myself a trip. Thanks.
Nutshell:
I've had two iPads thus far where I cannot use the Photos app because anytime I scroll it crashes.
I had my first iPad replaced since it couldn't play any video without the entire machine locking up and requiring a forced restart. (see http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=11320267 ) The Photos app on my first iPad would also crash anytime I attempted to scroll through my photos.
Now, the Photos app on my second, replacement iPad is behaving the same way, it always crashes when I scroll.
Observations:
• I didn't put any of the same photos back on my replacement iPad, I started with an empty Photos app which ever since only contains images that I've saved to the Photos app from other apps on the iPad, e.g. screenshots, saving images from Safari, Mail, etc.
• I did test drive the Photos app after having saved only a handful of images ( ≈ 30 imgs) and was happy to see that it DID NOT crash. Unfortunately it wasn't long after, having had saved a handful or so more images to the photo library that the app again began to crash anytime I would begin scrolling down through images. -
Elements 9 share photo email crashes?
photo shop emements 9 share photo email crashes
Will need a bit more detail here.
Are doing a Photo Mail, or email attachement?
Are you using the Adobe Email Service, or a client (e.g. Outlook)?
Is there an error?
At what point in the creation of the email does it crash?
Has it worked in the past?
Has it (does it) work with different files? -
Mail crashes every time it opens - after large send failed once
Issue: Mail crashes every time it opens. Problem started after a failed send on an e-mail with multiple photos attached. Can't see anything in outbox to delete.
Background: Family member initiated mail of several large photos from within iPhoto. Mail tried to send through Google mail and received error return that file was too large. Now every time Mail client opens - it crashes. Can't find anything in Outbox to delete. Tried deleting the Google Mail account and then reinstalling it. Still crashes.
System: A clean iMac - only a few months old with all updates on OS current. No 3rd party software or anything tricky.
Question: What to do next? Is there a place to look and delete this hung outbound e-mail at the system level - since don't see it in outbox. Should I move next to delete the Mail application and reinstall it? If so, is there another file to delete that might be holding this hung file or status?
ThanksHi usaf890, and a warm welcome to the forums!
Could be many things, we should start with this for safety...
"Try Disk Utility
1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc that came with your computer, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
*Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.*
3. Click the First Aid tab.
4. Click the disclosure triangle to the left of the hard drive icon to display the names of your hard disk volumes and partitions.
5. Select your Mac OS X volume.
6. Click Repair. Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."
http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=106214
Then Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
Then I'd backup your whole Mail folder, by right clicking on it in the Finder, then choose Archive/Compress.
Right click on that Mail folder, choose archive, you'll get everything in the folder, and the folder itself in a file called Mail.zip, move it to a safe place... only the plist is separate.
Quit Mail, then In your home folder, try moving this +folder & file+ to the Desktop then reboot...
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Caches/Mail
Move to the Desktop...
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail/Envelope Index
If you wish to try the file angle, look in the finder for...
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail/type&name of [email protected]/Sent Messages.mbox/Messages/
then files like...
7404.emlx

Help! Photo application crashes on opening!
Since I attempted to save a photo from an email to Photos on my iPod Touch running v2.0, whenever I click on the Photo app, it launches (showing the default background lines but not albums) and then promptly crashes to the home screen. Now when I try to save any photo on a website or email to Photos, it crashes that application in use (Safari or Mail) too. Interestingly enough, I can view my photo albums and pictures but not saved photos in the Settings>General>Wallpaper menu. This also affects the "About" page in Settings>General, crashing Settings to the home screen when I attempt to open it (I believe its because its trying to calculate the number of photos on the iPod, which it is unable to do).
I have tried a hard reboot, hard reset, and restore to backup from iTunes twice, and they don't change anything. Please help! You may want to just delete the image that you think may be causing the problem.
When you plug your iPod into your Mac, it should prompt you to open up iPhoto or something along those lines - the Saved Photos folder will be available for you to get to on your computer. You should be able to go in and delete the image that is maybe corrupted. Hopefully doing that will help.
I'm surprised the restore didn't help, but maybe the backup is from after when you saved the offending image? -
Troubleshooting Mail using the Mail.crash.log file and TN2123 CrashReporter
This morning, for apparently no reason at all, Mail began to consistently crash each time I attempted to send or reply to a message. By observing what occured in mail, opening the crash log [mail.crash.log] located here…
Macintosh HD:Users:<username>:Library:Logs:CrashReporter
…and parsing the information with the help of the Apple Developer Technical Note linked below, I was able to quickly determine that my last action just prior to sending the message—appending a signature to it—resulted in the application crashing. Simply by deleting the existing signature and recreating it, I was able to resolve the problem in only a matter of minutes.
This demonstrates how useful crash logs can be, and why they should likely be the very first place you look for an indication of trouble when an application unexpectely quits.
Here is a very short, relevent section of my Mail crash log which you can examine using the instructions linked below:
