Photo stream help!!
Alright so I recently set up Photo stream on my MBP and photo stream is only showing 11 photos out of the 987 photos that are under the Photo stream tab in my iPhone.... Any help guys ??
Your photostream will only show what is currently stored in iCloud, when you activate the photo stream on a device. It will download what it finds in iCloud.
This way the photo stream can look differently on all devices.

I do not understand iPhoto and/or Photo Stream, help me?
I do not understand iPhoto to say the least. I've imported my photos which I have stored on an external networked hard drive. However after they've been uploaded to the iPhoto library, I've got NUMEROUS duplicates which seem to be showing as different events even though they are the same photo.
Another thing is that in Photo Stream which I have turned on my iPhone 4, I seem to have photos showing up in there that have nothing to do with a photo I've taken on my iPhone or manually dragged them to Photo Stream. They are mostly some old photos that I've NEVER had on my iPhone at all. How did they get there. My photos that I've taken with the phone or saved on my Iphone are there just like I was expecting but most of these photos, and this is while I'm on my iMac, are just a bunch of random photos. I don't even know how to delete these photos in Photo Stream to try and start over.
Could someone help me understand iPhoto and/or Photo Stream, these are two different questions please!Is there a specific file that iPhoto makes and stores on my computer or the external drive that has the iPhoto library? I want to delete all instances of it and try reloading my library.
Also, how do I reload or start fresh a Photo Stream library on my computer? What's weird is that the photos on my iMac are not what's on my iPhone. I mean I have the ones that are on my iPHone are within the iPhoto's Photo Stream but then there is also a bunch of other photos that I have no idea how they got there. -
I have Mac OSX 10.7.5 and IPhoto 9.4.3, but when I try to turn on "My Photo Stream", it is not showing in the source list.
How can I get it to show up. Have also tried to accept a Photo Stream invite, but cannot get this loaded.

TS3989 Photo Stream help needed,Please
I have been using Photo Stream for some time now and love it, but lately when I go ino my iPhoto I notice that my photo stream is turned off everytime. How do I get Photo Stream to stay on? I have read everything online and reset Photo Stream and done everything but it still happens. I would greatly appreciate any advice to solve this problem. Thanks Nancy
I'm experiencing th same on my iPad 1.
I have tried turning off photo stream on all devices and turning them back on but the images synced is not the full library on the iPad. The PC and iPhone 4s get the correct, full library. -

If you think it helps post the first 50 lines only of your crash report. Remember crashing isn't a problem in itself, it's a symptom on a problem, so there are many different reasons why a crash may occur.

Hello, I wanted to clear out my photo stream folder on my macbook pro, so I copied all the photos to a permanent folder. I then deleted all the photos in my photo stream folder. The photos in my backup folder were automatically deleted and I want them retrieved. They are not in my trash and I can't find them. Are photos autmatically backed up in my phots? How can I retrieve the deleted photos? Please help. Thanks.
You can't currently delete individual photos but you can reset
Step 1: Login to your iCloud account on iCloud.com from a Mac or PC.
Step 2: Click on your name at the top right of the main iCloud page.
Step 3: Click on the Advanced option.
Step 4: Click “Reset Photo Stream.” You will then need to confirm.
Step 5: This Photo Stream reset will not go into effect until you toggle Photo Stream on and off on your devices. In iOS, Photo Stream can be turned off and on in the iCloud settings window of the Settings app. -
Hi, Can you help me I am running an iMac 10.7.5 and iPad 6.0.1 and a macair10.8.2. iCloud is syncing emails and notes but not photos. Photo streaming is switched on on the iMac. what do I need to do to stream photos?
Hi you have basicly 2 Options.
1 -if you Switch One fotostream on all 3 devices of yours which are working on the same apple id -all Fotos you Take with your iPad will be synchronized via icloud to the other 2 decvices ( w-lan and battery depending).
2- If you select foots or a whole album in iPhoto on your air or iMac and choose than puplish --> fotostream --> new or existing event you can key in a friends mail. If this friend has iCloud and iPhoto ( for iMac or MacBook ) and click on the link in the email it will download this fotos in the fotostream section in iPhoto. If he has a iPad, iPhone,... It will do it in the foto app and if he doesn't have a iCloud account at all and you choose "public web site" while publishing he can see your fotostream on a website. -

I'm very frustrated. I need to delete photos from my iphone to increase the storage so I can update the operating system. Since first using the phone I bought extra iCloud storage and ensured the photo streaming button for the iCloud was turned on.
Unfortunately it seems to have a mind of its own and will download and share some photos but the majority have not been downloaded.
I've resorted to manually putting them on photo stream (the one you share with friends) so the photos will be on my iPad. It also takes ages for my iphone to put them on the photo stream. It's downloaded one album x3 ..??!!? I've tried deleting the duplicated photos but it's now frozen on me....
I haven't dared delete the photos from my camera roll in case I loose them all and I'm therefore stuck in the situation of being unable to download the new operating system or take anymore photos/download music/apps. It *****!
Please Help!
Are there any other options for me to be able to download my photos when I don't have a computer/laptop? Is there a permanent online storage option I can use?

BeckyAmazing steps you've done so far! The great news is this is very unlikely an issue with your iPhone.
I've run into a similar issue lately as well. I narrowed it down to one song that was causing 30 songs not to sync. I removed the song from the sync list (unchecked it) and all 29 songs were able to sync.
You may be running into a similar issue. This may be a problem with this version of iTunes, an issue with one song or a group of songs; hard to know for sure. It's important to narrow down and isolate the cause. Most imporantly get that music back on there!
The way to narrow down the casue add just a few songs at a time (even 1, just to get that first sync finished). Manually syncing is what you'll need here.
Plug in your iPhone, on the Summary screen (shows a picture of your iPhone, the iOS version, Restore iPhone....; etc). Under the Options area at the bottom choose to Manually Manage Videos and Music then choose Apply in the lower right. The music that's on your iPhone now should be removed from your iPhone now. You're now able to sync music manually.
The link below explains how to drag the songs from the iTunes library on the computer on to your iPhone which will start the sync. Add just one song just to see if you can get 1 of those hundreds of songs on there. If you can, awesome! Keep adding until you find the song or group of songs that are causing this issue.

I have two different iCloud accounts - business and personal. I can't sign into Photo Stream with my personal account because it says my business account is my primary account. They are separate but equal accounts. I have tried deleting the iCloud account from my iPhone, then my MacBook Pro and signing in again on both devices. The iPhone says that my primary account ismy personal account (which is good) but my MacBook Pro still will not sign into that account so I can use Photo Stream.
Any suggestions? This iCloud stuff is getting annoying.you have a ps cs4 license for mac and you have some way of finding your serial number.

You are posting in the "icloud on my mac" forum, but your profile mentions Windows. If using a mac, you need to have iphoto or aperture installed in order to receive new photos via photo stream. If using windows, try posting in the iCloud on a PC forum. You'll get better help there.

Hi. When icloud first came out it worked well on all of my mac devices (macbook pro, ipad, iphones). However now it no longer works on my computer. When I go to system preferences it is unchecked and when I check to enable it, it tells me it can't. I also go to iCloud settings and when I check the photo stream box a few minutes later it is unchecked (which I never do). Please help.

With little confidence you might try the following.
Reset photostream at iCloud.com.
Log out/in of iCloud on your Mac.
Trash your system preferences plist. -

i restored my iphone and i am not getting the rest of my photos from my photo stream i am missing about 900 out of 1000 photos it only shows 147 photos it is not downloading for more i was sure i backed it up to icloud i had 1.7 free gb and it still says 1.7 gb free but i am not getting it still
With respect, there is no way that upgrading your iPhone will erase the photos on your computer. WHy not tell us what happened exactly, nd how it relates to iPhoto. If, along the way, you can tell us what version of iPhoto, that might help to.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
• Photostream only syncs photos over Wi-Fi, make sure you are connected to Wi-Fi to begin with.
• Photostream only syncs when the camera app is closed, ensure it is closed.
• Photostream only syncs when the battery is above 20%, try recharging the device
Try disabling photo stream on your device (settings > iCloud), restarting your device and then re-enabling photo stream.
If this doesn't help you may need to reset photo stream. You can do this at icloud.com by clicking on your name in the top right corner and then the advanced settings in the pop-up dialogue box that appears.
Note: disabling photostream and re-enabling it will result in any photos that are currently in the photostream album on your device, that are older than 30 days old, not being added back. -
i recently upgraded my 4s to a 5s. the verizon store took my old phone for a trade in. i cannot get any of my pictures to download from icloud. my photo stream folder only has a small percentage of the photos in it. any help would be greatly appreciated.
That's possible if he didn't connect to a WiFi hotspot after taking them. I don't think the "Personal" Photo Stream uploads over Cellular, unless they changed it since the last time I used it.
If that's the case, then the photos likely didn't upload to Photo Stream and are stuck on the phone.
And you're not going to be able to get them back, either.
