Photo Transfer and set up.

Had the old Adobe 3 photoshop that is now discontinued.I uploaded the pictures in the old Adobe to the new Adobe Photoshop. Now I can not get photos to transfer either from or to the phone. I think it is because it is now web based and not directly on my computer.
*2 questions*
Is there a way to set the settings either on my phone or on my PC to make this work?
If not how do make mt 3GS sync with my pictures or Image expert on my computer.
Thanks billions for any one that can help me.

Applications purchased from the Mac App Store, are flawless to work with. Punch in the Apple ID you purchased them with, click "Purchased" and download them all. You will get a fresh clean app with no user data in it. Time Machine is a pretty good system to migrate with. Without knowing the back story of your machine, and its uses, I can't precisely say what the cause of the erratic behavior is. Do you by chance have MacKeeper the crapware installed? I am pretty sure that can cause some wierd behavior.
If you tell us whats going on with the old iMac, we can better help you with the transition by ruling out certain things. App transfers aren't the issue, its the data since you don't have iCloud yet.

My online purchase of new 21.5 IMac is scheduled for delivery to apple store for pickup tomorrow .  I have purchased Apple one to one care. Do I need to schedule an appointment with apple genius on the day of pick up to bring in my old desk top computer to transfer and set up new IMac?

    Usually I would think so.
Note, if your old Mac or any of your old applications are pre-2006, see this tip.

Otherwise the transfer may not be as smooth as you desire.

  • Photo transfer and update from 5-year-old Macbook to new iMac using Time Machine resulted in half of 2014's photos being un-viewable (only a gray triangle with exclamation point shows).  How do I fix it?

I turned on my new iMac for the first time today and set it up using a backup on Time Machine from my old Macbook, which is running OS X 10.9.5 and has iPhoto version 8.1.2.  When I went to open iPhoto on the new computer, it said I had to update the photos to work with the new version.  Now, my photos from part of July 26, 2014 and onwards do not show up in the new iPhoto.  The albums and spaces for the photos are there, but only a gray triangle with exclamation point shows in their place.  Every other photo from 2003 to half of July 26, 2014 appears to have updated without issue.  None of the fixes/rebuilds I tried worked.  When I open up TimeMachine, it has no backups that I can use for the new computer (perhaps, because I wanted to still have access to use my old backups for my old laptop so told it not to use them for the new computer).  My most recent half a year's photos are the ones I need the most.  How do I make them appear on my new iMac?

Do you still have the old Mac? Then check, if the iPhoto Library has the newer events from July 26 onwards.
If yes, copy the iPhoto library from the old Mac to the new mac by connecting both computers. And then try to upgrade the copied library.
If you no longer have access to the old mac, you could try to inherit the backup of the old Mac and try to restore the iPhoto Library from it.

  • After upgrade to iOS7, photo app and setting wallpaper is too unconfortable!!

I totally love new iOS 7.
But some things have to need to change.
Especially when I used photo album, it was too unclear and not simple.
I also don't like that I can't resize my photo before setting as a wallpaper.
Even I used iOS 7 less than one day, I saw several things that need to change.
I hope that apple make ios 7.1 version asap.

  • Aperture photo transfer and keywords

I'm new to Aperture, and I've just started to build my library. I have been using i-photo for years and I find the Aperture program's import and keyword functions a bit confusing.
I like to shoot Raw and when I'm on location, where I dump my cards to my Macbook laptop. Sometimes I have the time to edit the photos and place keywords on the photos while I'm still out of town. But I would like to transfer those photos to my desktop MacPro when I get home. That's my main library.
What is the proper procedure to import the keywords and edited Raw files to my desktop with out loosing either the edited changes or the keywords.
Or do I have to simply use the laptop as a review and reject vehicle until I get home and then do all my editing and Keywording when I get back on the MacPro?
Also one last novice question..... what is a light table?
    Thanks

Which version of Aperture are you using (AP 2 or AP 3)?
I ask because your system info shows a G5.
If you are running AP 3 on Intel hardware, then the bottom half of this page under 'Merging Libraries' should run down the procedure pretty well.
    http://documentation.apple.com/en/aperture/usermanual/index.html#chapter=3%26sec tion=3%26tasks=true
If you are running AP2, then I leave it to those more familiar with the procedure needed for your situation.
The light table function is used to organize images on a flat surface to evaluate a layout arrangement or to see which images look good together and which don't belong (for say a book).

  • 5th gen photo transfer and quality question (also for nano)

I am still in doubt whether to buy a nano 8 gb or a 5th gen 30 gb. I would also like to use the ipod to transfer photos from my digital Canon Rebel to the ipod. Is this possible for both models?
The 6 megapixel camera makes photos with a size of roughly 2.5-3 MB. I noticed in both the specs-lists for the 5th gen and the nano something like 'iPod customized photos' or 'ipod viewable photos'. I have to know whether the photos I put from the camera to the ipos will stay completely untouched and at original size. Is this the case? Can I still watch those 2.5 MB photos on the ipod or are they just sotred as general 'non-viewable' data and should you convert them (just like mp3/avi video) before you can watch them...
Can I assume that the nano and 5th gen are identical when it comes to transferring photos from a camera? Do they both have the quick transfer possibility with the 30 dollar adapter?
If you have a compact camera that, besides photos, holds videos (usually mpg), will this data also be trnasferred to the ipod?

  • My Wife got an iPhone at work. IT set it up the first time on another machine, they finally install iTunes on her machine but I don't know if she can sync without loosing Photos, SMS, and other things. She had six months of stuff on that phone?

My Wife got an iPhone at work. IT set it up the first time on another machine, they finally install iTunes on her machine but I don't know if she can sync without loosing Photos, SMS, and other things. She had six months of stuff on that phone?
The problem is she can't update to new software until she connect to iTunes, but she don't want to loose all that info.
    My question is:
If she register her apple ID on that new computer, and sync the phone, will she loose everything? or iTunes will back up first (because apple id match) and then sync.
Otherwise, how can I do it? The closest apple store is 3 hours away. thanks!

Before you connect to a new PC, make sure that autosync is disabled in Edit/Preferences/Devices, otherwise her phone will be wiped during the following sync.
If she has data on the phone she wants to save, back up manually:
Disable autosync in iTunes, connect your phone to her new computer and right click on it in the device list and choose backup. iTunes will backup your phone without syncing. Transfer the purchases the same way, choosing "transfer purchases" this time.
When you connect your phone for the first time, all media content will be erased. But you can restore your settings and app data from your manual backup afterwards.
Don't forget to set up at least one contact and event on your new computer to be able to merge calendars and contacts when you sync the phone for the first time.

Hello, how can i get my photos, videos, and contacts of my iphone transfer to my pc. As i have lost my iphone 4

If you don't have your iPhone anymore, you can't access the data on it remotely.
However, if you are syncing to iCloud, you can set up iCloud syncing on your computer and at least get your contact info.
iCloud: Set up iCloud on your devices
You might also think about putting your device in lost mode or erasing it:
What steps should I take if I misplace my device?
If you ever misplace your device—whether it’s just lost or you think it may have been stolen—you should put it into Lost Mode immediately using Find My iPhone.
Lost Mode locks your screen with a four-digit passcode and lets you display a custom message with your phone number to help you get it back. You can also remotely erase your device if needed, and your custom message will continue to display even after the device is erased.
While Activation Lock works in the background to make it more difficult for someone to use or sell your missing device, Lost Mode clearly indicates to anyone who finds your device that it still belongs to you and can’t be reactivated without your password.
To put a device into Lost Mode, sign in to icloud.com/find from a Mac or PC or use the Find My iPhone iOS app.
For more information, read what to do if your device is lost or stolen.

  • I have had my iphone 5 stolen and last backed up approx. 2 months ago. I don't think I've ever gone through and set up PhotoStream however it has always appeared on my phone. Is there any way of getting back messages/photos/etc from the past 2 months?

I have had my iphone 5 stolen/have lost my iphone 5. I haven't backed it up for a while (2 months?!) and I am not sure that I actually set up  Photostream however it's always been on there from what I can tell (icon is there). Is there anyway of getting back contacts/messages/photos/anything from the phone onto my new replacement phone if it hadn't been backed up recently? I've got everything up until the last backup - contacts and messages aren't such an issue for me but the photos mean a lot!!!

If you are logged in to icloud with your same Apple ID. Go to setting on your phone>Photos & Camera and turn ON my Photo Stream.

  • Is there a way to transfer all of my photos in my iPhone's Photo Albums and Events to my new macbook?

My MacBook's hardrive failed. My only backup for iPhoto is on my iPhone. I bought a new MacBook Pro and I'd like to restore all the Photo Albums and Events from my iPhone. Is there a 3rd party app that is capable of this?
I downloaded iMacsoft to transfer music, books, etc. But it will only transfer photos in my iPhone's Camera Roll.

Are these photos on your iPhone?  Can you actually see them?  If so, then iCloud should see them as well.  All else fails, plug in the iPhone via a USB cable into the new Mac and iPhoto will launch showing you what photos you can import in.
Again, the old photos in question MUST be on the iPhone (i.e. you at one time sync'd your entire photo library to your iPhone, which to my knowledge also makes it available to the iCloud backup if you have enough room).
No, it is not easy to get synced photos back to the Mac. An iCloud backup does not include the synced photos nor the Photo Stream photos. See:
    iCloud: Backup and restore overview
One way to save the synced photos back to the Mac is to save them to the Camera Roll. This requires extra space on the device and much tapping, because it is not easy to save all photos at once to the Camera Roll. It would be easier with iPhoto iOS. Here you can share the the synced photos to iTunes and then save them using iTunes photo sharing on your Mac. In iPhoto you can select ranges of photos to share - much less tapping required.  See:  http://help.apple.com/iphoto/iphone/2.0/#blnk7d8f763e
Use your photos in any app by saving them to the Camera Roll.
Import photos directly into iPhoto or Aperture on your computer.
Save photos to your computer using iTunes.
Save photos to your computer using iTunes
Connect your iOS device to your computer.
Tap a photo, album, event, web journal, or slideshow and tap > iTunes.
Tap Selected, or change the photos you want to save (if you are saving a slideshow skip to step 4):
Select different photos: Tap Choose Photos, tap one or more photos, and tap Next.
Select a range of photos: Tap Choose Photos, tap Range, tap the first and last photos in the range, and tap Next.
Select all the photos in an album or event: Tap All.
In iTunes, click the button for your device and click Apps at the top of the window.
Below File Sharing, select iPhoto (in Apps).
Select the Shared Photos folder under iPhoto Documents.
Click Save To and select the location on your computer where you want to save the items.
To view your photos, go to the Finder and look in the location you selected above.
