Photos from iPhone not showing on iMac
I have taken several pictures today with my iPhone and after several hours, they are not showing in Photos on my iMac. Pictures that I have imported to the iMac are showing on the iPhone. I have set up both devices to use iCloud and both devices appear to be set correctly.
How long should it take for pictures from iPhone to appear on the iMac?
Help!!
Thanks!
A couple of thoughts here - have you updated both devices to latest OS operating system? Then make sure that you have signed out of iCloud on both devices at the same time. You might check to see if you have any photos on the iCloud website as well. If you do, decide if you want to deleter them or not? I used my iMac as the base file since it had all of my picture history. When this is done, turn on iCloud Photo on your Mac either using System Preferences or opening Photos and turning in iCloud Photo. If you have a large number of photos and videos, the sync process the first time is going to take time. I have over 9500 pics and videos in my collection, and it took almost 4 days to get through this. Also - check to make sure you do not have energy saving settings that disconnect the Mac during this process. Let it run - it should complete. You can check progress in Photos and see when this is done. Then when all photos and videos are sync'd,, then turn on the iPhone and let it run until done. This will also take time depending on the size of your file.
If you are not getting connected - make sure both devices are signed into the same iCloud account.
Here's hoping this might work!

I have chose to deactivate Photostream.
But.. Why aren't my photos syncing from my iPhone Camera Roll (New Photos) into iPhoto or anywhere on my Mac?
This is frustrating. Have tried numerous syncs with no results..
Used Wi-Fi Sync and USB sync .

Told me to try unchecking the box to sync Photos.
Do a sync.
Then check the box.
And sync again.
Going to try that now. Let me know if it works for you James

What type of cable is required to move photos from iPhone 4 to Mavericks iMac?
what type of cable is required to move photos from iphone 4 to imac mavericks?
The Apple cable that shipped with the iPhone - the same cable you use to sync the iPhone with iTunes on your computer, charge the iPhone with your computer and with the included power adaptor.

With a Mac you can use iPhoto to import photos/videos from the iPhone's Camera Roll, or the Image Capture application as with any other digital camera with both applications included with every Mac. -
I can't sync photos from iPhone onto iPad. I have same iCloud acct for both
If you are talking about PhotoStream then it only transmits newly taken photos or just saved saved photos. Of course you have to turn PhotoStream On on each of your devices. See Settings > iCloud > Photos > Photostream.
If you just want to move selected photos between devices you can use an App like Photo Transfer:

Deleted Photos from iPhone still show up in Photo Stream on iPad: iOS 6
Okay, I've done a lot of searching and can't find any solution for this. I'm on iOS 6 on all devices, so none of the iOS 5.x article / discussions apply.
I have my iPhone 5, my wife has an iPhone 4, we have an iMac, and an iPad 2. Here's the situation. We use iCloud and Photo Stream is enabled on all four devices, and all share a single Apple ID.
I have many photos (let's say 100) I've taken on my iPhone 5 over the last several months, and with Photo Stream enabled, they were automatically copied to all of my other devices. Great. Now, I'd like to delete let's say 20 of those photos. On my iPhone 5, I go to "My Photo Stream" and mark all 20 of them and delete them. I get the pop-up confirmation that they will be deleted from the Photo Stream on all my devices. Great, exactly what I want.
The photos delete from my iPhone 5, my wife's iPhone 4, and my iMac. However, they still appear on my iPad under Photos, Photo Stream, and under Events (September 2012 Photo Stream, October 2012 Photo Stream, November 2012 Photo Stream events). I can not delete them from my iPad.
I have tried:
1. Selecting each photo, there is no option to delete
2. Selecting edit, and then selecting a photo, the delete button is disabled
3. Disabling Photo Stream on my iPad, and rebooting. All photos in "My Photo Stream" on iPad are deleted, but not the photos that were sourced by other devices, they still appear under Photos, Photo Stream, and the monthly Photo Stream events
So... How do I delete these photos from my iPad?
Cheers,
GoudaOkay, finally figured out what was going on. Positng the solution here in case it might help someone else with a similar problem.
Here's what was happening:
1. iPhone5/iPhone4/iPad/iMac all had iCloud + Photo Stream so Photos were shared
2. iMac was setup with iPhoto to automatically import and save Photo Stream photos
3. iPad was setup to wirelessly sync all albums from iPhoto
So, when photos were shared using Photo Stream to iMac, it would backup to an album in iPhoto, and sync to the iPad. Deleting the original photo on the iPhone would delete the photo from the Photo Stream on all devices, but it had already been added to a permanent album in iPhoto (e.g., "September 2012 Photo Stream"). This album was then automatically synced to the iPad. So, deleteing the photo from Photo Stream would clear it from the iPhones, but not the iPad.
To delete the photos:
1. Delete the photo from "My Photo Stream" in the source device (the device used to take the picture), this will delete it from the active Photo Stream on all devices
2. On the iMac, go into the automatically created monthly Photo Stream events, and delete the photos from there
3. In iTunes, initiate a Sync with the iPad, which will update the syncronized albums/events there, removing the photos on the iPad as well
Hope that's able to help someone in the future...

Photos on iPhone not Showing on iPad and no photos in events Help
Synching has been working. I have not altered any settings but now photos not sharing also photos not showing in events.
Go to iCloud Prefs on your iPhone / iPad and turn off the contact syncing, it will ask if you want to erase your contacts from your device, say yes. After that, turn it on again and just wait until all your contacts sync again.
That worked for me! -
Transfer photos from iPhone to my computer (iMac)
I recently bought an iMac after many years as a PC user. On the PC I got the opportunity to transfer my photos from the iPhone to the computer; but now I can not find that way of working on my new iMac. Via iTunes I get the opportunity to delete all my picture... Anyone who knows how to do??
On any computer, photos in your camera roll are imported just like any digital camera. On a Mac, you can use image capture(from your applications folder) or iphoto, if installed on your computer.

Delete photo from iPhone, NOT from Mac/iCloud
Hello,
I scanned a bunch of images recently, and I noticed they were all automatically going to the photo stream when I imported them. I believe I turned that off in preferences, but the ones I've already scanned that way are taking up space on my photo stream. I went to delete those same images from my phone, but it says that will delete them from all devices.
How can I delete the photos in the photo stream on my iPhone while keeping them on my Macbook air's Photos?
Thanks!
JossIcloud Photo Library is not an archive. If you wish to archive all photos before deleting some try another service like Dropbox. This also gives you another, independent, backup which is always a good idea when using a product labelled, "Beta".

Why are my photos on iPhone not showing up on the iPad?
photo stream is on both the iPad and iPhone but the pics on my iPhone are not showing up on the ipad
I'm not sure how true this is..... Then again I'm not sure I totally understand this whole cloud thing yet. But I have 742 photos on my photo stream on my iPhone and only 144 of them on my iPad. I turned off photo stream on the iPad and turned it back on and it loaded even less then the original 144 pics. I'm at a loss. They were all synced with my iPad until recently. And if this statement is true about syncing only the new ones since turning on photo stream then my iPad photo stream would have loaded zero pics. What happened?

Iphoto remove photos from iphone not working
For the past couple months iphoto will not delete the photos from my iphone. It successfully imports them, prompts to delete, appears to delete but doesn't actually remove them. They are still on my iphone. iphoto recognizes that they have already been imported and asks to delete them again the next time I plug in my phone, I accept, looks like something is happening but they are still there. I've tried image capture as well and there is no way to delete off the phone in image capture. Help!?
Can it be, that you have enabled iCloud Photo Library (Beta) on your iPhone with iOS 8.1.3? Then you can import photos from the phone, but deleting from Image Capture or iPhoto will not work, if the photos are in iCloud Photo Library.
iCloud Photo Library beta FAQ
Delete the photos directly on the iPhone or using the icloud webpage -
Use the "Photos Beta" app on your iCloud page:

Here are some specifica but I hope I can explain it all.
I have an imap email with network solutions a host service.

If I sent emails from my imac - the emails are in my sent file just fine
If I send emails from my ipad - they are in my sent file on my ipad, but do not show anywhere on my imac,
I know for sure they are going out as I send them from my ipad to myself to my gmail acct. I receive it, and I see it on my ipad. BUT it does not show in my macmail anywhere on my imac.

Messages sent from iPhone not visible on iMac
When I send a message on my iPad using iOS 8.1.2 it does not show up in Messages on my iMac running OSX 10.9.5 but it does show up on my iPhone, also running the latest version of iOS 8.1.2. Does this feature not work with OSX 10.9.x or is there another problem and, if there is a problem, how can it be corrected?
Thanks.Try restarting all the devices.

Deleting photos from iphone - not good results
I tried deleting all my photos from my iphone using itunes and the sync system. well it did delete all the photos from my mobile me account, but only about 1/4 of the photos on the phone were deleted and some of them are really messed up. while doing all this the phone locked up and until the battery went dead the phone was junk. what are the odds? Anyone have any idea how i can delete the rest of the photos from my phone? peace to you all!
Hi,
Thanks for the answer. So if I want one pic from a folder, I would have to basically create another folder with this one pic. The only problem with this solution, is I want to keep all the pics in this one folder (Picasa) to organize. I'm new to iPod and I can't believe this is the only way to delete pic(s) from an iPod.
Thanks again. -
How come my pictures from iphone not showing up in iphoto stream
I am not seeing my photos in my photostream on my iphoto despite the fact that I have my iphone set up to send to my imac.
On the mac have you turned on icloud and checked Photos (in System preferences>icloud)? Also (this is in Mavericks, don't recall the interface in Mt. Lion), next the the Photos option in icloud, click the Options button and be sure photo stream is also checked. I assume you've turned on photo stream in iPhoto on the mac as well.
