Photos page does not display photos in some browsers

Hi All:
I published my "Photos" page,

It appears to work fine on Opera v. 9.24, Firefox v.2.0.0.7, and Safari v. 2.0.4.
It does not display my photos on Mac IE v. 5.2, AOL v.10.3, and Mozilla v. 1.7.13
On these browsers I get the message:
# Exception: ReferenceError
# Message : detectBrowser is not defined
Any ideas? That's a lot of folks that can't view my webpage.

Best way to reach Apple is to send a Bug Report via the Safari Menu>Report Bugs to Apple. While Apple doesn't respond directly to these notes, the information gets in the hands of Software Engineers at Cupertino.
Specific to the referenced site, there are multiple code errors, which would contribute to the rendering problem. Safari is a lot more specific about following correct code than other browsers. I suggest passing the Validation report on to the site developers. Good code practices (W3) makes for better uniformity and security on the Internet.

JSP error page does not displayed on its own, includes in the original JSP

Problem Description: - Exceptions in a Condition cause pages to fail to render.
The actual issue is, the JSP error page does not displayed on its own, included in the original JSP Page when exception occurs.
Problem Cause: As per the JSP specification when jsp content reached the buffer size (default 8KB) the page being flushed (Part of condent displays). The default �autoFlush� value is true.
When the page buffer value is default size (8KB), and if any exception occurs after flushing the part of the content, instead of redirecting into error page, the error page content included in the original page.
If i specify autoFlush="false" and with default buffer size, at the runtime if the buffer size is reached, i am getting stackoverflow error.
To solve the above problem we can make it autoFlush=�false� and buffer=�100KB�. But we can�t predict the actual size of the page.
I found in one of the weblogic forum as no solution for this issue. Ref.

Error-Page tags work best with an error.html pages. If you have an error.jsp page what I would do, and I have, is wrap my classes and jsp pages in a try catch block where you forward to the error jsp page and display anything you want. YOu can also do this with if else statements. I have used the tomcat error pages before but when I've implemented them I used java.lang.Exception as the error to catch not Throwable. I don't know if this would make a difference or have anything to do with your problem.

Page does not display properly in 3.0.4

Pages does not display on Mission Control

I use three fingers on the trackpad to initiate Mission Control. Even though I have a document open under Pages on my desktop, Mission Control does not show me an image or icon for pages that I can select. I see a vertical white line where the icon should be, but I cannot select it. Do I not have an option to select Pages from Mission Control? The same thing happens when I hit F3.

That's what I mean...it does not have its own pile. Pages does not appear at all when I go to MC, even though I have it open on my desktop. When I move windows around to bring it to the front and go back to MC, the document dissappears to a thin vertical white line in MC and my other open programs have their own pile. When I exit out of MC, the document appears from where the thin vertical line is. I can't click on the line either, so I'm not sure what the problem is. I've restarted it three times and nothing has changed.

Safari does not display text on some sites.

I am running OSX 10.10.2 and Safari 8.03
Some sites I visit do not display text at all.
For example: This site (http://neflin.org/) looks fine in Chrome, Firefox, whatever. But in Safari, it has no text at all. See below.
Mail is having difficult with some text in html email too.
I have rebooted, reset the PRAM, deleted preferences and turned off extensions. I checked the Guest account and created a new account and in all cases the problem persists.
I have validated fonts in Font Book, restored standard fonts and looked for duplicates. Nothing.
Flash and Java are up to date.
Any thoughts?

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It won’t solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of this test is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account. Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.”
While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your documents or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this behavior; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
Test while logged in as Guest. Same problem?
After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
*Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault in OS X 10.7 or later, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The "Guest User" login created by "Find My Mac" is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.

10g EM page does not display

I had a problem with the OracleDBconsole%oracle_sid% problem. The service can not start. SO I had to drop and recreate the database.
Now i get the new databse and the OracleDBconsole service start, but I can not start the enterprise manager. When i go to http://servername:5500/em, i go the "Page cannot be displayed" error.
Any help is appreciated.

Iweb updated page does not display correctly in firefox or safari

tried to update my site with a couple of cues and the wheels have completely come off. i cannot get the site to display correctly.
it looks a bit better if i open the page directly from the computer, but after sending it to ftp host it will not load up properly in the browsers.
i have no idea what is going on and i rather desperately need that site back up and running
help!!

This is happening probably because the text encoding on your server end is set wrong. Or perhaps your FTP program is doing the encoding differently. This is commonlly seen when uploading iWeb pages to 3rd party servers and can be corrected.
Our own Tom Gewecke has a nice writeup about these strange looking characters that can appear. He also has some suggestions about what to check and what to do. Check it out and see if any of it might be relevant to your situation. If not come on back and we'll keep trying to troubleshoot with you...

Web page does not display on my browser.

i am trying to go to a web pae with url http://xxx:8800
The page loads but when i enter login username & password , the processing stops there.
the information displayed in Java Console is :

I have installed jre.13 version too.
The page is displayed on other machines. why so? please advice what to do.

Maybe u should put some System.out.println() in codes to check where this stops.

Startup - Login page does not display

Everything seems to start as normal - grey screen, apple sign "clock" counter .... then Blue Mac OSX screen and blue line moving along ...... then no Login page but a black screen and this:-
Darwin/BSD (k0r3.local) (console)
I managed to fsck on the next start and it said the Hard Disk was OK, but got the same black screen after reboot.
Thoughts anyone?

Page does not display

Hi, I am writing simple JSP pages and running it on
Tomcat.
I create a jsp file that has frame in it
(call this chat_entry_frame.jsp)
In the frame I call other 2 jsp pages.
(which is chat_entry.jsp and chat_control.jsp)
When I test both chat_entry.jsp and chat_control.jsp
separately, they both fine.
But when I try to call chat_entry_frame.jsp, it did not
show anything.
I have not create web.xml file inside my application...
I just call both jsp files by specifing their path (relative
path). All jsp files I put in the same directory.
So, I wonder what is wrong?

Your problem is not with TomCat, When you specify a frameset, the HTML code cannot have the body tag, just remove it from your chat_entry_frame.jsp and it has to work.

Creating an album page does not display all the albums?

I am trying to create a page that has an index with "poster frames" as reference of all the pages that I have with movies. I dragged and dropped all at once 10 video clips onto the album button but on the album page only 7 clips are visible. In my sidebar the 10 videos are listed as being there and when I select them they show up. Why don't they all show up visible on the album page? Has anyone else experienced this problem or is it just me?

What's the URL so we can examine the page?

Blog summery page excerpts not displaying in iWeb

I'm new to iWeb. I've created a blog in my new website but the summery page does not display the excerpts within iWeb (i have selected 5 excerpts to display with the inspector). when i publish the site, the excerpts display on the webpage. But since they do not display within iWeb I have no opportunity to make the excerpt font match the rest of the blog, nor do i get the opportunity to relocate a photo within the excerpt before publishing.
Within iWeb, moving the mouse over the area where excerpts are supposed to be displayed generates the phrase "double-click to interact with the summery." when i double click the box gets a blue border but it is always empty and i cant seem to do anything with it.
any ideas?

CmcApp home.faces page will not display.

We have just completed (?) the installation of BOJ 3.1 XI SP 3 and the BOJ SAP integration kit SP 3. The installation is on SQL Server 2008 and SAP Netweaver 7.01 SP 7.
Each time after logging in the the CmcApp page using Administrator and the Enterprise authentication, the next page does not display. In IE8 a download window opens. In IE7 and Firefox the garbage is displayed. I have seen this thread: Re: CmcApp bug on BOE 3.1 using SAP WAS 7.0 and set *.faces to NEVER COMPRESS without any success. The thread just list is still marked as unanswered after a year.

As per my knowledge, we need to do some changes in the application server configurations, in your case it is SAP Netweaver 7.01 SP 7 when BOE is deployed to the SAP NW Java server.
Try the below steps and do verify once again whether it resolves the issue:
1.     Launch the Visual Administrator tool.
2.     Connect to the SAP J2EE Engine by clicking Connect -> Login, select the appropriate connection, and click on the Connect button. Enter the password and click on the Connect button.
3.     Navigate to the HTTP Provider service by going to the Cluster tab, expanding Server, expanding Services, and clicking on HTTP Provider.
4.     On the right side of the screen, click on the Properties tab.
5.     Click on the AlwaysCompressed key. At the bottom of the screen in the Value field, remove "text/html" (without the quotes). Click on Update.
6.     Click on the NeverCompressed key. At the bottom of the screen in the Value field, add "text/html" (without the quotes). Click on Update.
7.     At the top of the screen, click on the Save Properties button.
8.     Restart the NetWeaver server.

JSP stops loading in IE and does not display in NS

I am running several JSP pages on Tomcat 4. The pages make one query to an Oracle 8i database that returns about 70 records. I display some text from each record using a loop.
For some reason, the page just stops loading. IE displays some of the HTML, then stops at some point and displays the underlying HTML code. NS does not load the page at all (probably since the JSP stops loading before it can reach the closing </hmtl> tag).
I have tried flushing the cache manually. I have also tried autoflushing the cache and adjusting the cache size (all the way down to zero).
The page was loading fine until I deleted some records from the underlying database. Then the problem started occurring. It is only on one or two pages and on no other JSP pages. Even pages with nearly identical code work fine.
Is this some type of fluke? I have run into this error before, but somehow miracluously, the pages would start working again. I thought perhaps it was a problem with Tomcat, but I am not sure.
Any suggestions?

For some reason, the page just stops loading. IE

load the page at all (probably since the JSP stops
loading before it can reach the closing </hmtl> tag).In my experience, if a page does not display completely,
or if it displays the underlying HTML, then there is probably
something wrong in the HTML itself. The culprit is usually
a missing ending tag or some error like an unterminated
string.
The easiest way to check this is to run the JSP. Then select
"view source" from the menu and save the source code to a new
html file. You can edit the html file and see what went wrong.
