Photoshop and none results in main 'window'

Hi everyone
Ive got a question. The problem is really interesting but this is not my problem just my friend's problem.
What should my friend do if he cant see any results in main window. This window where we are doing all changing (painting, adjust., etc.)
She told me that all changed in the layers on the right hand site where we got Layers Tap, Channels Tap and Paths Tap... but in center main window or better say in working space is nothing happen, no results...
When did she save this image, with no results on the working space, and after that she opened this image all results she saw...
Please help me for find this option what change the view that she cant see results in main working space in Photoshop CS3...

Multiple tables and templates in a main window

Hi,
Is it possible to have multiple tables and templates in a main window of a smartform?
If so then how they are positioned in the main window? Means which table to come first and which to be the next?

Hi!
both tables and templates can be printed any number of times ina main window.
The tables as in sequence are printed...after ending with the first it gets on to the another.
If u want to print it under some cdonditions you can do it using the condition tabs.As per it is a main window the dats gets flowing to the next page so as the order goes thae data goes on printed.

Calling pages and more than 1 main window

I am designing a Smartform.It contains 2 sections.In 1st section
page1 contains only templates and no main window.On page2 i have
4 dynamic tables which i have included in main window.If the data
is large content of page2 extends to page3.Now the 2nd section begins.I
have to display details of various materials. page4 again contains
templates and no main window.Page5 contains again 4 dynamic tables
and if the data is large it can extend to page6.Ideally these 4 tables
should be included in main window.but i already have 1 main window in
page2.As per my knowledge in 1 smartform there can be only 1 main window.
So please suggest any way to do this.
1 more thing.....
As i said in 2nd section i am displaying details of materials-- page4,
page5,page6 display details of only 1 material.These 3 pages--page4,page5
page6 should repeat for other materials also.
How do i achieve this.

The Solution can be achieved but in a different way.
Let the First Page be fired as ur default page and at the end of the first page call the command to go to the 2nd Page.
In the 2nd Page call the Main Window once and print the information for the first Table, this is fine.
After that comes the Second Section, in this i hope that you a single table for printing the material Specific data, the number of lines that can be displayed in a A4 page is approx 70, so you can find out the number of lines remaining to be printed in the page for the table and print data conditionally based on this data.

Importing Microsoft WordArt logo into Photoshop and resizing results

Hi there
I am doing an evaluation of Photoshop to see if I can make small logos with it - suitable for business cards and also for larger displays.
Recently I made up a name in WordArt which I'd like to use as a company title and maybe a logo on a business card. I'd like to import it into Photoshop and manipulate the size of the WordArt image so that it can be placed in advertisements, business cards and so on.
I realise that Photoshop may be a more sophisticated product than what I really need but I would like to persevere and get something finished.
Can anyone suggest which is the best tutorial video for this work or perhaps give me a few pointers so that I can get started?
The image is made up of two elements: a WordArt title set at a 30° angle and underneath it is a separately drawn arrow which is used as an underlining for the title.

Here's the process I just used to import Word Art created in Microsoft Word for Mac 2011 into Photoshop CS6. Let's see if it works on Windows, too!
1. Open the Word document that contains your Word Art.
2. Click on the word "File" in the top menu and mouse down to "Save As" (File > Save As).
3. In the new dialog box that then appears, choose PDF as the file type.
The Windows Save As dialog box may not look exactly like this Mac dialog box.
4. Open Photoshop, go to the word "File" and mouse down to "Open" (File > Open), then select the PDF you just saved.
5. In the Import PDF dialog box that appears, click the "OK" button.
Now you should have a high-resolution file that you can save as the PSD format.

I always have many tabs open in FF, and rely on it restoring them each time I close/open it again. Sometimes I'll have a second window open and will close the main window first, losing a record of tabs I had open. Is there a way around this?

Seems like when FF restores a session, it restores the session of the last window open. If you use tabs as a way of keeping a list of things to do or look at, you have to be careful if you have a second window open to close the second window before your main one, or you will lose your list. I'm absent minded though and do this all the time. The only way to prevent this is bookmark all my tabs once a day, but I tend to forget to do even that. Any workaround for this?

When you re-open Firefox and choose Restore Session, by default it picks up your most-recently-open window, and the other windows should then show up in Recently Closed Windows.
The Firefox add-on Session Manager lets you manage how many closed windows and closed tabs are saved, in case it's not enough.

When I am downloading anything from any website in firefox and if I close main window of firefox, the downloading file also gets stops and crashes.

example, I was downloading 74 mb file and as soon as I close firefox window my 74 mb file was downloaded to that size upto which it has been downloaded say 1 Mb for example..

You can set the pref browser.download.manager.quitBehavior to 2 on the about:config page. 
That will make Firefox ask for confirmation if you want to cancel the download if you close Firefox.

If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.

After hiding photoshop and returning, all collapsed document windows uncollapse

I'm on Photoshop CS6 with my documents in the 'float all in wondows' view. I have say 20 documents open, 19 collapsed into the dock with the one document left i'm working on. I hide photoshop to go to the desktop, click back into photoshop when done. As i return to photoshop all of the previously collapsed documents reappear one by one and fill up my workspace. I then need to collapse all of my documents once again to leave just the one I'm working on. This was never an issue in earlier versions, does anyone know how to override? thanks.

I'm assuming you're on a Mac. That is a Mac OS native feature. I'm afraid you can't disable that from Photoshop.
Alternatively, 2 workarounds I see here:
Instead of 'floating' your documents individually, why don't you tab them together and switch between them using tabs?
This way, all your documents will be open within 1 parent container, you can switch between them using Cmd + ` or Shift + Cmd + ` (backwards)
Another option you could try in your current workflow is not to 'Hide Photoshop'. Set a 'Hot Corner' in Mac OS to 'Show Desktop'. For example, the way my workflow is setup is - it will show Desktop when I move my mouse over to the extreme top left corner. To do this, Mac OS > System Preferences > Desktop & Screensaver > Screensaver > Hot Corners

How do you save main window size and placement upon boot-up?

Is there any way for a dual-monitor user to convince InDesign to remember the size and shape of the main window when I boot up? I use InDesign on my second monitor, which I have rotated to portrait mode. The workspace I have saved remembers all of my menues and panels, but the main window always shows up on my main monitor. InDesign 5 remembered....
Also, how do you permanently turn off that damn "getting started" window?

I'm guessing your on a Mac with a recent version of Mac OS X. Am I correct?
You'll have the best luck having InDesign remember your window size if you choose Window > Application Frame. Then resize the frame to the size you prefer. It should stick.
People have found bugs with windows on a secondary monitor if they're using Mac OS X 10.10.2. If you're running 10.10.3 it should solve that problem.
To get rid of the Getting Started window, scroll to the bottom of most tabs, and choose not show the window again by checking a checkbox.

Print problem - prints fine in photoshop and windows but direct from illustrator is off centre when printed.

when printing a full page image from illustrator the print is off centre and does not print the image in line with the paper. the same image prints just fine in photoshop and as a jpeg from windows own program. the positioning is zeroed in the dialouge box and the preview image shows how it should print, but it does not print as shown. please help.

What happens if you Save a Copy as PDF, then print from Acrobat or Reader?
If that helps, you may consider trying to (find and) use a PostScript (emulatin) printer driver to your printer, if possible.

Error opening saved files - no main window

I have this weird problem with GarageBand lately - when I open saved songs, some of them will open fine, but others will go through the opening process (where the "loading" bar is all you see) and then the loading bar completes and there is no main window. Other times, GB asks to open a file as if I used the "open" command, even though I used the "recent tracks" menu.
I don't know how to test, but I am wondering if some of these tracks were saved with the iLife preview - I recall saving a few like this, but can't recall which ones I tried it on. The reason I think this is the cause is because it only seems to happen with songs I have recorded since getting iLife 08 with the MacPro, and I don't believe the feature was there before.
Some songs recorded with this new version are fine, others aren't. It's even possible that the tracks without the iLife preview are the issue. I will have to make a test song with and without and see what the results are.

Tried that and it still wont work,
Both in my user account Library and the main folder..
The Logic 9 disc wont accept me installing Sountrack saying
i have a newer version installed. This makes no sense seeing
as i also have updated versions of Mainstage and Logic itself but
THOSE i can choose to reinstall..
Hmmm.. what the **** !

Photoshop and premiere elements will not start

If there has been an answer, I apologize for asking, I'm haven't gotten any answers from adobe chat and have reached frustration!
I have photoshop and premier elements 9 on windows 7. They worked fine for about a year then both recently stopped working, they didn't open. So I uninstalled and reinstalled from the disk and they worked.
A few days later, the same story. They stopped opening. I've only installed the programs on this one computer.
I could reinstall again and see if that works, but I think there is a 2 computer license which I might have reached since I couldn't deactivate before reinstalling because I couldn't access the program. It also seems silly to reinstall every time I need to use it.
All ideas appreciated!

Bypass the Unwelcome Screen by creating Desktop shortcuts for the Organizer and the Editor, and restarting your computer.
The Editor's executable is:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 10\PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe"
The Organizer's executable is:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Elements 10 Organizer\PhotoshopElementsOrganizer.exe"
The Unwelcome Screen leaves a zombie process running which prevents the actual program from launching again.

The main window of third page will not display the text element

Hey, smartform guru,
I am working on the smartform to print PO data.
The smartform has first page and next page as usual.
I created a third page P_TERMS to print the terms and conditions for PO printout.
I used commend node to assign the page P_TERMS as the "Go to new page" and it did go to the P_TERMS page but the text element will not print in the main window in P_TERMS page.
The text element will print in the secondary window.Since the terams and conditions are 4 pages long, I expected it to print in the main window, so I do not have to define several extra pages to print them.
Any idea?

Hi Fisher,
Unfortunately, In a smartform, only single main window is continued to all pages even though you can declare windows under each page as main window, but it actually acts as the same window for all pages. It just means that if text from 1st page is overflowed, it will continue to the next page with main window.
Command line to go to next page will create an extra page but since text is not flowed in main window, it won't print the text element you have included in main window on third page.
The solution to your problem as I see is that either you include your terms and conditions in the main window of your first page and just before your text element for T&Cs, use Command to go to third page.

My requiremnet is ,i want to display each sales order number in each page in layout.when am giving the input two sales orders,
the first sales order (0001)dispaly its header and item details in main window finely but in second page it disaply the header data of second sales order number(0002) but does not read the main window and not display the item details of second sales order number(not showing the main window).i used the command option still not working.please tell me where i do a mistake.

When you are using command to trigger new page( In that you have to check the check box 'Go to new page' ) In this case the the main window name of the first page and the next page shoul be same.If it is different then it will not trigger the main window of the next page. It displays the details of all other windows but main window details will not be displayed. Check this once.
