Already looked through the forum but no luck. Still wont install.
You might also try this downloadable installer for the Camera Raw plug-in:

I have no idea what to do.
I stick with CS5 because it does what I need and does not lock me into a financial arrangement over which I have do not have control.
My software is registered. I have used and updated it without problems since I bought it direct from Adobe
Any idea what I might do?
JeffIf you're trying to update through the Help menu > Updates, you should know that the Adobe auto updater in CS5 and earlier versions is an unmitigated, monumental piece of cr@p. It Is totally unreliably and fails in one or another of a great variety of ways.
Adobe began to get their act together as of CS6, with which I'm staying for exactly the same reason you are staying with CS5.
One has to update manually, by looking for, downloading and applying any and all applicable updates, including the Adobe Camera Raw plug-in which comes separately.
If the latter is what you've been doing, you need to let us know where you are trying to download the update from, what browser you are using to attempt to effect the download, and what platform you are in.
You also need to disable any and all virus protection, and make sure you are not behind any active software or hardware Fire Wall.
This is the URL for Photoshop Macintosh updates:
Adobe - Photoshop : For Macintosh
and for Windows:
Adobe - Photoshop : For Windows
Next time, please be substantially more informative, rather than plaintive or narrative (see next post). You are not addressing Adobe here.
Thank you. -
I have ran into the subject error when I update Dreamweaver. Has anyone found a fix for this?

Which operating system are you running on?
For PSE 9, the update process was best using a manual method.
Are you trying to do Help - Updates?
If so try these downloads (fand follow the manual instructions given on the pages.
Adobe - Photoshop Elements : For Windows : Adobe Photoshop Elements 9.0.3 update
Adobe - Photoshop Elements : For Windows : Camera Raw 6.5 update for Elements 9
Adobe - Photoshop Elements : For Macintosh : Adobe Photoshop Elements 9.0.3 update
Adobe - Photoshop Elements : For Macintosh : Camera Raw 6.5 update for Elements 9
If you are getting an error during the download please try a different browser.

I have a Windows PC - OS: Win 7 Home Premium, SP1
I recently had to have my hard drive replaced and, as result, had to reinstall the Adobe products I own: Acrobat 10, Premiere Elements & Photoshop 9
I assume as part of reinstalling the software the Adobe Application Manager was installed as well - regardless, it indicates 'updates are available' -- however when I open the updater I am receiving the error message:
'There was an error downloading this update. Please quit and try again later'
The full message is as follows:
'Adobe Photoshop Elements 9.0.3 Update
There was an error downloading this update. Please quit and try again later.
Photoshop Camera Raw 6.5 Update
There was an error downloading this update. Please quit and try again later.
Premiere Elements 9.0.1 Updater
There was an error downloading this update. Please quit and try again later.'
Please advise!! thank you kindly
(secondary problem: whenever I open Elements or Photoshop and I am asked to log in with my Adobe ID, I get the error message 'Error. Photoshop.com services are currently unavailable. Please try again later or check your network connections. Error 400'. Now I know photoshop.com was replaced with Revel - but why is it consistently giving me the same error message? shouldn't it be updated by now or, specifically, is this indicative of a different problem when I attempt to login with my Adobe ID??)
thank you so much for any help provided!!I don't know why you are getting these errors. Try downloading & installing the updates manually from http://www.adobe.com/downloads/updates.html

Adobe Illustrator CS5 15.0.2 Update
There was an error downloading this update. Please quit and try again later. Error Code: U43M1D207But the files it says to download do not exist there.

When I try the others it just opens the updater, says downloading, and then when it finishes downloading it fails the update. -
This issue I got when I update InDesing CC.
There was an error installing this update. Please quit and try again later. Error Code: U44M1P34I got this error trying to download and install updates to Photoshop Elements. In my case the message said that two updates could not be downloaded.
Of course, the idiot installer had installed Adobe Premier Elements trial over my dead body, and in navigating here I caught references on pages to installation of Reader, which I do not want, what with it's being incredibly vulnerable and inferior to any number of PDF readers out there. -

Dreamweaver CS5 11.0.4 Updater
There was an error downloading this update. Please quit and try again later.
this happens continual when I try to update minor increments for my CS5 Master collection no matter what application update I try.
No help available to resolve this problem...
William Bell.thank you,
I downloaded updates and installed manually, had to mess around a bit.
Start the updater from the program first, then install from the download.
Also, moved plugins that are for Premier from common plugins directory,
to the Premier plugins directory. Stopped the error I got launching After Effects
that said to reinstall the plugins.
Cheers!
