How do I get Photoshop CC and Lightroom to install on drive C:? They try to install on a small Ram Drive and it is too small

Unfortunately that option is not possible.
You cannot upgrade a Creative Suite to a standalone product.
Creative Suites can only be upgrades to other Creative Suites.
You'll need to return Photoshop CS6 upgrade since you cannot use it.
Return, cancel, or exchange an Adobe order
Some options:
Buy a Creative Suite upgrade, or
Buy a full new copy of Photoshop CS6, or
Join the Cloud

I-tunes installation error message- trying to put in wrong drive

I was getting the AVG trojan horse warnings so I quickly deleted i-tunes, assuming (mistakenly, apparently) that AVG had detected a virus.
I downloaded i-tunes and attempted to re-install, but very early in the process get the message that "drive d is not available"-- which is true, since that drive is my DVD drive, and I usually install programs on drive C with the rest of the system (Windows Vista Ultimate). I realize this might be more of a windows problem than an i-tunes problems, but the windows people have no ideas and the result is the same-- I am without i-tunes. Is there a way to get the installation to take place on one drive or another? I am not being asked for the place of installation, at least not this early in the installation process (very early-- the first response that pops up after starting to install). I tried putting the installation program in drive C (or verified it was already there, more accurately). I right-click the installation file and check properties but cannot find anyplace to change the installation settings.

Try putting a disk in your DVD drive. That might make D: available and get past that silly error message.

Trying to install Accurip printer driver on Windows 8 x64

Hi there,
I have a driver for an Epson printer 4880 that I am trying to install on Windows 8 x64. The driver works fine on Windows 8 x32 but will not work on x64.
When I select the printer it asks me to point it to the driver location, which I select the .inf file for it and it appears to install. However it takes me back to select the printer and continues to go in that continuous loop.
I have checked the %windir$\inf\setupapi.devl.og and it appears to quit at Driver package failed signature verification.
Could somebody provide some help as to how I could get this to work?

Which driver did you use? I checked Epson official site, found this type of printer had Windows x64 driver. Please download and install it for test.

I am trying to install ITunes on drive D.

i Have a new PC with a SSD drive which has limited space. When I install ITunes , it give an option to install on another drive.
Despite selecting drive D, when I sync my iPhone, it store all the backup data in drive C.
This fails as the drive soon runs out of space.
How do I get my backup iPhone/IPad data to goto drive D

Relocate iOS device backups
Make a new folder called MobileSync at the root of the drive you want the backup data to live on, e.g. as D:\MobileSync
Use Windows Explorer to move current Backup folder at <SystemDrive>\Users\<User>\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup into the folder you just made. If the backup folder is large this may take some time.
To make iTunes look for the data in the new location copy the text below, open a command prompt, right-click to paste in the command, edit the drive letter/path if needed, and then press <Enter>.
MkLink /J "%AppData%\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup" "D:\MobileSync\Backup"
If you want the backup elsewhere replace D:\MobileSync accordingly.
Note that while this method works for iOS device backups it cannot be used to redirect sections of the media library.

"RAID is not supported" error when trying to install on separate drive

Hi,
I have a Mac Pro (early 2008) with a RAID0 of two 500GB disks as my main drive.
Up until recently I had a separate physical drive for boot camp running XP.
Now, I have replaced that drive with a newer one and wish to install Win7 Ultimate on it, but when trying to run Boot Camp Assistant I get the following message: "RAID is not supported".
Obviously it is referring to my main drive which upon it cannot install nor partition; but I do not intend that anyway - I merely want to install on the separate drive. Is there any way to get past this blockage?

Should the PC drive be formatted using MBR or GUID?
I seem to have some startup issues after installing Win7, and I thought it might be related (the drive is NTFS with a GUID)

Itunes trying to burn to wrong drive

I have 2 separate drives. The first is a dvd burner and the second is a cd burner. Itunes has chosen my dvd burner as the drive it wants to burn music to. How do I change it. I have been through all the help and support my little brain can handle. Someone please save the last 2 brain cells I have.

I've tried that but it doesn't give me an option for my second drive. The drive burns with media player and jet audio, so I know it's there and works

Trying to install new hard drive in MacBook

I am at a dead end and would appreciate your help.
Due to a no-boot situation that I chased for several days. My hard drive was damaged (many corrupt/damaged/orphaned files) I confirmed that by using Apple Hardware test and then running a fsca check that said the disc was unfixable, I had to replace a failed system internal hard drive that HAD tiger 10.4.6 OS on it
I just physically installed a new 160 GB WD (Sata) hard drive in a Macbook. No problem!
However, when I try Power + C key to boot from the install disk #1 so I can get to disk utility to partition format etc. the new drive
--------------------------------- I can't get there from here???
After the start up chime, and after a short delay I see a ---black folder icon--- on the screen with a question mark symbol on it that is blinking.
It seems that the Mac is telling me that it can not find the "System" Boot or some other needed folder.
That actually makes since since I know that the new Hard drive internal/system drive is blank and NOT partitioned, initalized or formatted.
The ONLY way I know to (prepare) the new disc for reinstallation of the OS is to boot from the install CD (power + C key)and navigate to the Utility area and prepare the new drive.
Right?
But I can not get any further than the point where I see the blinking black folder icon and question mark so NO UTILITY options are available to me.
NOTE:
I do have several windows based PCs that I could use to format/partition IF I can find a utility or program that will allow me to set a Mac partition from a PC based utility (and no, I do not want to end up with a Fat32 partition on the Mac)!
If there is a utility available I can install the new disk as a external USB connected unpartitioned hard drive and go from there.
Does anyone have any ideas about what I can do to get on with this matter?
Help of any kind will be appreciated.
(short of trashing the Macbook---Yes I considered doing that too)

Try just the C key alone, or the Option key, which should show boot choices, then...

1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc that came with your computer, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.
3. Click the Erase tab.
4. Click the disclosure triangle to the left of the hard drive icon to display the names of your hard disk volumes and partitions.
5. Select your Mac OS X volume, then choose MacOS Extended Journalled.
6. Click Erase & look for Security Options. choose Zero 1 pass."

Photoshop Elements 10 partially installed on "C" Drive

During the install of PSE 10 I selected the software to be installed on my "D" drive and it executed that. But during the install I noticed that it also installed many items on the "C" drive. When I check later I found it had installed over 2GB of new software on the "C" drive. I can not use the system this way becuase Adobe PS, 3,5,6 and now 10 are all installed and use up too much space on my C drive and I can't get any performance. I have 4 other drives of over 500GB each and one at 1.5 TB and I want to move all of the Adobe software off of drive C to my "Software" drives. How can I do this.

You can't. All Adobe tools install components also on teh system root, no matter whether the main programs are on another drive. I'm not sure I follow your argument, though. Some files just sitting there have no influence on performance at all. If your system feels or acts slow, then this is usually a sign of lack of system maintenance like defragmentation or cleaning out temporary files....

In general I'd suggest only buying Photoshop from Adobe directly.

MS14-018 wrong version trying to install

We have over 20K clients that have succesfully installed MS14-018. While evaluating a few clients that did not I found one that is trying to install the wrong version.
The client has MSIE 8 installed, but in the windowsupdate.log I clearly see it saying that is is installing the MSIE 9 version of MS14-018. It then says it installed correctly, and event viewer backs it up. However the client is still
not compliant, the patch is missing, and a check of the files show the old versions.
Why would a client attempt to install the wrong version of a patch? Is WUA corrupt? Should I reinstall or just delete SoftwareDistribution? Any other options to kick of the correct install?

Apparently the patch is now being properly identified by WUA. I still don't know why it was selecting the wrong patch at the start. THe client did not roll back MSIE to an earlier version.
