Photoshop CS 6 Exteneded

Just purchased Photoshop CS6 I needed to upgrade from CS 4 to CS 6 Exteneded.
The back of the software box says " Also available Adobe Photoshop CS6 Exteneded software"
Have i purchase the correct upgraade software package. The box does not indicate Photoshop 6 Extended only a black sticker on the side which says "Upgrade from Adobe Creative Suite 5,4,3.x"
Would like to know if this box is good for the exteneded upgrade or do i need somthing else.

Contact sales support to verify the product code on the package.

Hi,
My dad purchsed Abobe Photoshop CS5.1 Exteneded for me from Apple a few years ago. Since then I have changed the email address of the apple ID that he bought it on. I have recently bought a Macbook Pro and was wanting to download the Photoshop onto that but I wasnt sure how I am ament to do this. I have been on the Adobe website and because I bought Photoshop through Apple it doesnt show up under purchased items.

1. I doubt that old version of CS5 will run on a new Mac. You need to buy the upgraded version to run on a new Mac.
2. Apple never has sold CS through the Mac App Store, if you bought it from Apple it was likely the boxed software.

Unwanted trial version of photoshop cs6 Extenede

Have installed Photoshop cs6 full copy and registered it..but now I am getting the trial version of the Extended version...How do I get rid of the unwanted trial version of Photoshop Extended?

The trial version is always the Extended version. If you input the serial, it will disable the Extended features and become the Standard version. Since you say you have installed your PS version with a serial, the product reverting to trial mode means that you did not install/ run it the first time with sufficient user privileges and the serial didn't stick. Try again with admin privileges.

How to enable Matlab support in Photoshop CC?

How to enable Matlab support in Photoshop CC? I've downloaded zip-file with dylib and m-scripts, however it does not work.
By the way, app.featureEnabled("MATLAB") return false in standalone jsx-script, so I believe it's a Photoshop confiruration issue (I found some suggestion _for previous_ versions, that it can be caused by non-exteneded Photoshop version).
What can I do?

Yes, it'is the place where I've downloaded Matlab "plugin".
Interesting, that Matlab can not start Photoshop CC via pslaunch — Photoshop crashes. However, Photoshop can be launched manually, but calling psmatlab.dylib from Matlab does not work.
It's unfortunate that I can not migrate to Photoshop CC (I've used CS5 before and corresponding Matlab integration worked like a charm). It is possible that Photoshop CC has some "forgotten" Matlab-compatibility option that should be switched on?
It seems weird that app.featureEnabled("MATLAB") return false in Photoshop CC (in returns true in Photoshop CS5 Extended).

Which new Laptop for Photoshop CS4

My present laptop (Asus 3053WXMi)has proven to be too slow for the new CS4. I have been doing some research into laptops but it is almost a science trying to work out which is best. I have been looking at the following possibilites and would like feedback as to your opinions and other options.
SONY VAIO FW21Z C2D 2.53 4GB/500 BLU-RAY/RW 16.4#VHP
SONY VAIO AW11Z C2D 2.53 4GB/640 BLU-RAY/RW 18.4#VHP (more expensive!)
ASUS G71V-7S024G 17" WXGA+ (powerful but ugly)
FSC Amilo Xi 3650-006 (Only 32 bit system??????)
Do any of you have any feedback? I live in Denmark so unusual laptops like Alienware cannot be bought here.
I realise that 4 GB ram is a must and I have only looked at powerful 2.53 GHz processors but the graphic cards are really confusing me. I work in 2d in Photoshop creating artwork.
(I would like to have a Blue Ray too that writes so I can make extra backup of my precious files).

Which would be? Unless you plan to use an external disk as your primary working drive this is a non-issue and I'm sure you could by a PC Card USB3 exteneder, if ever needed. Following your logic, nobody should buy a notebook before 2012, just because until then Apple have exclusive rights to Thunderbolt, which of course is utter nonsense. Would an average user ever even exploit this theoretical bandwidth? Same for your USB 3. So in fairness, buy what you need now, not what you may need next year...
and it has the Radeon HD 6570 with 1 gig of DDR5 ram. This video card isn't that good, but I was wondering if it was good enough to use with Photoshop and illustrator.
*LOL* You know, 10 years ago people would have killed for it. You have a completely wrong impression of how much PS uses OpenGL features. that card wil ldo just fine, as long as its driver and configuration are compatible with PS.

Could not initalize photoshop because the disk is not available. What is gouing on at Adobe?
How do I get into my cs6 now.
Problem since that extenede for the cloud has been coming up and I have just always quit and never subscribed now today the trial is over and i Have never used the trial and can not get back into cs6 for my work. No support from adobe until monday

Do you have a perpetual license (not a cloud subscription)?
If so, then you will have received a serial number.
You need to follow the prompts to the point where you enter your serial number and enter it. That should activate the software.
You'll need also to make sure you've updated it to the latest release. The specific number of that will depend on what kind of system you have.

Purchasing a new PC for Adobe/Flash/Photoshop development. Suggestions?

I'm new here and I'm getting ready to start some heavy Photoshop/Flash/Flex development. My current PC is is pretty slow for any sort of flash/photoshop work, but it's been so long since I've bought a new system that I'm not really sure what is available/the norm for this sort of use.
I'm looking to spend 300-500 for just the tower; I don't need the OS (already have the OS install discs) and I don't need a monitor/mouse/keyboard. Any suggestions on a system/minimum specs for a system?

Can't get in to cs6 message no scrarch disk available I have not subsribed to the extenede version e

I have not subscribed to the exteneded version and it ran out today now when I boot up cs6 the message is could not open a scratch file because the disk is not available.
Whats going on??

My system is fully updated but with CS6 not being able to boot up completley there is no way to do the latest up date to adobe.
This was happening on my clonedback up disk. I clone my complete system once a month. I have been doing the same thing like this for 8 years.
what I will do is delete the disk and do a complete clone to it. The only thing that does happen before is because i have not deactivated the original photoshop will boot up, but can't do a full activation because the other drive has not been deactivated.

Installing an extension _just_ for Photoshop x64 (or i86)

Hello folks,
As part of our product we are installing a Photoshop panel (using XManCommand.exe command line utility from the Adobe Extension Manager CS5 suite). While in the Extension Manager there are two separate entries for Photoshop 64 and 32, it seems that this command always installs the panel for both platforms. Our installer natuarally allows the user to install the product for each platform separately, so I wonder how can we install the panel just to either 64 or 32 bit version of Photoshop?
Ditto for the uninstall.

May I ask why you want to distinguish PS 64 and PS 32 for Creative Suite Extension? As far as I know, Creative Suite Extension should not care about the runing environment: 32bit or 64bit.
As you mentioned, currently there is only "Photoshop" or "Photoshop Extended" in manifest.xml, so Photoshop doesn't distinguish 32 and 64 for Creative Suite Extension. Hence, after the Creative Suite Extension is installed, both Photoshop64 and Photoshop32 would load this Creative Suite Extension.
The only way is to ask that Photoshop team to provide additional entries in manifest.xml so that Extension Manager can distinguish PS 32 and PS 64. If Photoshop can provide like "Photoshop32" , "Photoshop64", "Photoshop Extended 32" and "Photoshop Exteneded 64", Extension Manager would be able to distinguish 32 and 64.
Note:
If you only want that extension is listed under Photoshop32 or Photoshop64 in the Extension Manager UI, there is one workaround for this. But note even that extension only occurs for Photoshop32 or Photoshop64, both Photoshop32 and Photoshop64 would load this extension.

Error in starting Adobe Bridge in Photoshop CS2

I've just installed Photoshop CS2, however upon opening Adobe Bridge this error message appears " The application has failed to start because libagluc28.dll was not found. Reinstalling to application may fix the problem"
I have reinstalled and click repair but to no avail
I followed Adobe Support Knowledgebase solution and run CMD and this appears:
c:Documents and Settings/Jesus M Ferraris>
then i entered the command
cacls c:\windows\installer /T /E /C /G administrators:F
but an error message appears - 'cacls' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or bathc file
I also entered the next command
cacls "c:\documents and setting\all users" /Y /E /C /G administrators:F
still the same error as above appears, Please help, have I miss something or was my procedure correct...

Error: "Could not complete your request because of a program error" (photoshop CS2 9.0.2 on MAC OSX

Today I started my program (photoshop CS2 9.0.2) and opened a JPG file. When I went to print the file the program crashed and closed. When I restarted the program and went to open the file I got this error message, "Could not complete your request because of a program error".
I have tried several different file types/sizes and all result in the same error message since the program crashed. It will not open any file I try to open. As I indicated above I am using Photoshop CS2 9.0.2 it is on a MAC with OSX 10.4.11.
I called Adobe and the Rep directed me to Tech Note 331307 and told me to Re-create the Photoshop preferences files. Which I did and restarted the program, but when I tried to open a file (any file) I still get the same error message so it doesn't appear to be the preferences.
Does anyone have any info as to what the problem may be and how to correct it.

Thanks for the response. OK... This is the first day I have been able to get back to the problem.
My system I am running Photoshop on is a Power Mac G4, AGP Graphics ATY Rage 128Pro chip set 16MB VRAM LCD 1280x1024 32-bit color, 500MHz, 1.75GB of memory, 1 MB L2 Cache, 100 MHz Bus Speed. I had installed the latest security update and repaired the permissions the day the problem started.
Now to day I started the system and went in and created a Guest Account. I logged into the guest account and started Photoshop. Low and behold it worked just fine. So I logged out of guest and logged into my main user account And started Photoshop. Wouldn't you know it.... It works just fine. I can open any file I want with now problems.
I got to thinking after I had done all of this that I wished I had tried to open a file in Photoshop today prior to creating the guest account to see if it still had the problem in my main user account.
I did not change anything else on the system and all seems to work fine now. So at his point I am really not sure what the problem was.

Adobe Stock Photos Stuck in Trash and Photoshop CS2 won't run!

Okay, I apparently did something stupid. I'm not even sure how this happened, but I realized that Adobe Stock Photos folder was sitting on my desktop (I'm using OS X 10.5.6). I don't know when this happened and I didn't think I needed it so I dragged it to the trash. NOW I cannot run any of my Adobe software (includes Photoshop CS2, Illustrator CS2 and GoLive CS2).
I can see the folder sitting in my trash, but it won't let me drag it back out. So, just as a test, I tried dragging out the one other file (.jpg) and I can't get that one either. I know this isn't a Mac forum, but I'm desparate and cannot find anything to help me.
Probably I am going to have to reinstall everything and (of course) I can't find my CDs!!! Please don't get angry if I'm asking the wrong question. I've done an internet search and I cannot find any solutions.

Adobe stock photos does not even exist anymore.
Have you tried deleting your trash? I have no Adobe stock Photos on my computer and everything works. try restarting the computer.

Adobe Photoshop CS2 posterization problem on vignette

I am having a problem with posterization in my image. When I try to vignette my photo (with black) it starts to block up in areas, mostly in the darkest part of the gradient. It ends up not making a smooth transitional gradient and leaves a line where it blocks up. It shows up on the screen as well as on the print. I have a calibrated LaCie CRT 19" monitor, G5 and I am working from digital raw files from a Fuji S2 that are AdobeRGB and also film scans that have done the same thing. What can I do to prevent this? Is it something to do with my G5 or is it the software in Photoshop? If there is any info that left out to help solve the problem please let me know!

Adobe Photoshop CS2 shuts itself down after printing..

Not sure whether I'm in the right place to post this..
In my workplace, we just bought some new iMacs for design class. They are a 2GHz with Intel Core Duo, and has 1GB 667 Mhz DDR2 SDRAM, and running Mac OSX 10.4.8.
The Photoshop CS2 is version 9.0
I've config-ed the five new iMacs so they can print to a printer, using IP printing. Problem is, most of the time after the students sends the document they want to print to the printer, Photoshop CS2 just shuts itself down. Then the dialog box saying 'the software just unexpectedly quit' appears.
It is confusing me, because our older iMacs (that's not an Intel-based) doesn't have this problem, at all.
is it something to do with CS2 compatibility with Intel-based Macs? or something else.. what needs to be done to stop this annoying problem?
