Photoshop CS3 not opening after Cloud trial

I have a licensed version of Photoshop CS3. I did a trial of Adobe Cloud InDesign, uninstalled that (not easy), and now my PS will not launch. I have unistalled PS CS3, reinstalled it (numerous times), and when I click on it in Applications it just bounces in my Mac dock and then essentially just freezes. I'm really peeved.

There used to be a weird bug where this didn't work when there was an accented character (like ø, ä, etc.) somewhere in the path to the file, in the filename itself or in the metadata, the file simply wouldn't open in CS3. Don't know if that ever was fixed, but might be something to check.

Photoshop will not open after installing window's 7 updates

I'm in a bit of a dilema, any help is appreciated. My Windows 7 has updates. When it does this, Photoshop will not run. I have reverted the PC back before the update and Photoshop runs fine. The only thing is that the PC will update itself unless I turn the automatic updates off. Does anyone have a fix for this? Photoshop CS2, running on Windows' 7 Home Deluxe edition.

This is the error message I am receiving. A window pops up when I try to run Photoshop. At the top of the window is the directory entry
C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS3\Photoshop.exe
X Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item.
The only problem is that there is no access permissions. I just did the system update and now Photoshop will not run. Any help is appreciated.

CS6 does not open after EXTENDED trial is over

Hello everybody , I bought last september Photoshop CS6 on CD . Lately an EXTENDED trial version installed itself without my full consent ! now over one month later when I ask for CS6 Adobe Manager tell me to activate, if I try to connect it will not do it the wheel keeps turning (anyway I do not want EXTENDED) and I cannot even open CS6 ! (My serial number is already registered on my Adobe account) . What should I do ? - I am on Macbook) ? Thanks GB

Thanks everybody for all the information. Finally, after few hours of work :-) I solved my problem by uninstalling everything regarding CS6 from the macbook, cleaning it with Onyx, reinstalling CS6 from the original DVD. Then I could open CS6 which said approximatively "EXTENDED version is out, you are back to CS6 standard" BUT it said also " you have a 7 days trial, you have to activate CS6 during these 7 days" !!! In fact, right from the start I have never been able to connect to my account with the Adobe Application Manager, although I can do it directly from the Adobe site ... The Adobe chat support told me that this problem is out of their expertise !!! therefore I had to go thru the burden of registering according to the off-line procedure.
I am not really willing to update, fearing that Adobe will introduce again their EXTENDED version trial :-(

I have a full version of photoshop on my mac but downloaded a master collection trial, now photoshop will not open because the trial expired.

I had a full version of CS6 photoshop on my macbook and then downloaded a Masters Collection trial a few months ago. Photoshop has been working fine until today when I tried to go on, it told me that my trial was over. I had the full version on my computer before I downloaded the masters collection so I thought it would still work. Is there a way I can fix this or am I out of luck? I really don't want to have to buy another version of photoshop again. (I also have Bridge on my computer too from before downloading the trial and that is still functioning just fine)

Try using the Adobe Creative Suite Cleaner Tool to remove the Suite and then reinstall the standalone Photoshop

Photoshop CC not opening after update

Yesterday my Photoshop CC was working just fine and at the end of the day I noticed that there was an update. I hit UPDATE and walked away from the PC. This morning I tried opening Photoshop and this is the error I get:
I did restart my computer to see if that would help matters, but no success.
Can anyone please advise me what this is and how to fix it.

Ok this is just stinking weird! I just thought for giggles I would see if Photoshop CC 32bit would open and it works just fine. My system is a 64bit and all my other CC apps are running in 64 bit. WIERD!! I think it is time to build another computer - stupid machine!

A Photoshop installation is tied to the machine it was installed on. Moving it to or from a hard drive breaks the licensing.
The answer is easy: Reinstall CS4 from your disc. and apply all updates.

After installation CC, Photoshop will not open. Program error?

I got a subscription on Creative Cloud. Downloaded CC and Photoshop, but Photoshop will not open. After the splash-screen, it says something about a program error, and then it stops. I deleted CC and PS and reinstalled everything, but still the same result. I work on a Mac, and all software is up to date..

1. try resetting your preferences: hold down shift-ctrl-cmd while starting ps. you'll see a confirmation dialog if done correctly.

Adobe Bridge CS3 not opening Photoshop Image Processor

I selected one, four, and multiple pictures in Bridge to reduce the file size of jpgs. I went to Tools > Photoshop > Image Processor. Nothing happened. Photoshop did not open. That got me to thinking that sometimes while I am in Photoshop Bridge won't open either. Any ideas on resolving issue of "Bridge not opening Photoshop Image Processor" would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Curt Y, Everything is checked in the "Startup Scripts," including Bridge (twice) and Photoshop (twice). Not sure why duplicate entries but there are.
If you mean that you have two of the same versions (both CS3) in there that indicates there is something wrong with your install
If you have any suggestions regarding being able to access the Image Processor to resize pictures and such without first opening Photoshop, I'd greatly appreciate it. If not, the work around will have to suffice.
My first goal would be to reset the preferences for both PS and Bridge and then try again

First of all, thank you for replying so promptly to my posts this morning!
I can't remember how I got the software on his computer, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't through migration assistant.
I was looking into doing an uninstall of InDesign and a fresh install. However, I initially downloaded the CS5 suite digitally and I can't find out how I am able to perform a fresh install of InDesign. Do you know where I find this info or gain access to download just InDesign again? I can't seem to find anything in my Adobe account that shows where I might do another download.

Adobe Premiere Elements does not open after installation

Hello,
I have written before last week. I have bought Adobe Photoshop Elements 11 and Adobe Premiere Elements 11.
I had a trial version of Photoshop Elements 11 and with the code I could access the full version.
However Premiere Elements did not open after installation. I did not had a trial version so I first downloaded the full program. I went through the whole installation process and everything seemed ok, no error messages. But when I tried to open Adobe Premiere Elements after restarting the computer it did not open at all. Nothing happened.
I have de-installed and re-installed the program for a couple of times over and over again but with not result. Also tried to download the trial version first and also this didn't work. I checked my Quicktime and updated to the latest version.
I use a Windows laptop: Asus Intel Core i5-2430M, 2,4 GHz
I hope you can help me out!

Yes I saw it but PSE (refers to Photo Shop Elements??) and I have trouble with Premiere Elements..(so the video program)
The Photoshop Elements worked.
I am not sure what to do here also the link at your reply "working with your operation system tools" didn't work..(got the "broken link error")

Organizer will not open after I tried backing up photos on an external hard drive on Mac. Editor opens, but will not launch Organizer. Have tried clearing the catalogs, but nothing works. This was first reported 10 days ago. Had to be out of the country for a week - without photoshop working-- and now I'm back with the same problem. Can someone please help, or do I dump this and try to get some help just reloading the program?

It had 4 years of photos and videos on it.
To what did your camera record those photos and videos - camera's internal memory, inserted memory card, other?
Any remote chance that the latter may still exist for you to use to download the camera files to your new external hard drive?
