  • Error message 0xc000001d in Photoshop CS5 Trial

I have installed the Photoshop CS5 Trial, and when I tried to initiate the program, I got a error message 0xc000001d.
Do you have any idea, if this failure occurs due my operating system use a athlon XP processor 2.4GHz?
Are there any solution for that?
    Thanks

Well, if you're installing strictly for use as a trial, download the latest from Adobe's web site.
If you're installing to activate with your license, install then either run the updater (from the Start menu) or manually update to Photoshop 12.0.4 from this page, and it will work on your CPU:

  • Cannot install Photoshop CS5 Trial

    Hello all.
I'm desperately searching help to install Photoshop CS5 Trial on my PC. I have Windows Seven Ultimate 32 bit, and any time I try to install the regular setup file downloaded via Adobe's site I get an error message. Another strange issue regarding a message displayed in a dialog box during setup: after the "INSTALL TRIAL" selection there is a dialog box displaying the components to install. There is only the Photoshop voice, with a red X, and after the selection a new message appears in the right side of the dialog, warning me that "THE SELECTED COMPONENTS ARE DISABLED".
After the start of installation I got the following message:

    Problem Solved!
I simply checked in the "Add/Remove Programs" panel, discovering a previous CS5 installation (some days ago I've installed CS5 suite trial). Yesterday I have discovered this voice in the panel, uninstalled it and now Photoshop CS5 is perfectly installed and working.
Solutions are ofted in front of our eyes, but we do not realize it

It appears that your download has been corrupted.  To resolve your difficulties I would recommend completing Solution 1 in Troubleshoot Adobe Download Assistant - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/troubleshoot-download-assistant.html#main_Solutio n_1.  Once done you will want to begin the download again.

  • CS5 Trial install error-insert disk?

I've successfully downloaded a trial of Photoshop CS5, but when trying to install it the progress bar stops at 0% and I get a message which reads "please insert photoshop cs5 disk to continue". Obviously I don't have the disk as it's a downloadable trial. When I cancel the install i get a long list of error codes which starts like this:
    Exit Code: 24

I've come across one or two other people experiencing this problem, but mostly on windows machines, so I've not managed to find an answer to this problem.  some explanations I've found are too technical for me to understand, I'm no computer genius. One thing I have noticed is that the sharing and permissions options in the "get info" menu of the install folder are greyed out, and can't be changed. Clicking the padlock does not allow me to make changes as usual. Access privileges for my user (admin) are read and write, but read only for "staff" and "everyone". Don't know if this is anything to do with it, but I read of another case where changing these settings solved the problem. I've tried re-downloading the trial, and installing again, but that hasn't worked.
Some help with this problem would be appreciated.
    Thanks

I think this happens if there is more that one installer mounted. Have you tried restarting your entire system, remounting the installer, then trying to reinstall?

I downloaded a trial of photoshop cs5 and when I go to install the trail it first warns me of a "pending restart" which i can ignore and continue or close and do a restart as recommended (which I tried). • FLASH CS5: JAVA RUNTIME ERROR

    Hi Guys!
I'm facing a serious problem that I can't figure out how to solve it!
I installed the Flash CS5 trial and each time I launch the application, a windows with the message (error initializing java runtime and may need to reinstall Flash )
That's making 6 times that I reinstall Flash CS5, Java 6.21, unisntall, install from CS5 Suite, single Flash CS5 and always the same problem.
    I use Windows 7 X86
I tried to find the solution all around the web, the Adobe support and nothing seems to point out the solution!
Is there someone here that can help?
    Cheers!

Please check the following links for some answers

I think the idea is that Flash AS3 compiler needs JRE to compile swfs, so please update to the latest JRE version for CS5 to work. You would not need to install, CS5 Flash again and again.

Have you tried removing and reinstalling the software from the Program and Features control panel?

  • Photoshop CS5 trial crashes on my laptop.

Hi - I am having somoe major issues with the trial version of Photoshop CS5 Extension on my Toshiba laptop. Here is the background:
I had to purchase CS5 Design Premium for several classes that I am currently taking. I purchased the software from a vendor at a student discount. I went to install the suite on my laptop. It installed everything but said it did not have the system resources to install InDesign, although it appeared to be fully installed. I go to launch Dreamweaver but when the splash screen loaded there was a hole such that I could see through the splashscreen to my desktop. However, it still loaded. Then when I try to setup a site or connect to a server, the dialog box for choosing those settings is completely blank except for two text fields for naming the site and entering the site directory location. No buttons, no browse icon, nothing else is visible. Part of the Dreamweaver title bar is also missing and you can see the desktop through it.
I had similar problems with the other applications in the suite. They either crashed pretty quickly or there were 'holes' in the interface such that the desktop was visible. After MANY tries with Adobe support, I finally had to return the software. I am still waiting for the refund check. In the meantime, after speaking with a couple of computer-savey friends, it was suggested that I get more memory. I have a 100GB hard drive, and 1G of RAM. I am running a Toshiba M45-5355 Satellite laptop. I meet the requirements that Adobe recommends, but I decided to increase RAM and now have 2Gs of RAM installed on my laptop.
With the added memory I decided to try a trial version of Photoshop (not the entire CS5 suite) to see what happens. Photoshop installs and launches beautifully but only works for about one minute (or less) before it completely crashes and shuts down - no warning, no hang-ups, just gone...like it was never launched. I tried several times and the app. behaves the same everytime.
Finally the question - has anyone seen this and is there a solution? I am running Windows XP Home with SP3. Am I dreaming thinking Photoshop should run on a laptop? The added memory seems to have helped but I still crash. It doesn't crash/freeze the entire system though, which is what I was seeing before.
Sorry this is so long - wanted to provide as much detail as possible. Thanks for any feedback regarding this...

  • Photoshop CS5 trial version has stopped working.  Will the Full version do the same?

Once I try to open a file or create a new file in the trial version it stops working and Windows closes the program. I have read on the forum that others had this problem so I tried the solutions without luck.  A sales live chat guy tonight told me that the trial version will not allow a lot of the features and I should have  no problem with the full version.  Does anyone know if this is accurate?  That is a lot of money to spend for a full version to stop working when a file begins to open.

    Hi Iamrami,
You've posted in the forum for Photoshop.com (an  online service and product info portal).

  • Adobe photoshop cs5 extended installation error (Mac); Inconsistency in installer database

Just bought CS5 Extended and ran into this problem on my Mac Book Pro running macos-x 10.6.4.
I tried to restart a few times but to no avail;....I also downloaded the advisor application and it did not turn anything up; no issues encountered......Any ideas?

Thanks for the suggestion djnickatnight.  I ran the cleaner and it seems that I will *finally* be able to install CS5
I am running 10.6.8 OS on a MBP attempting to install CS5.  I installed LR3 in no time, but CS5 has been a nightmare!
I hope Adobe reads these forums to understand the level of frustration and time expended installing their products.
Quick list of Adobe issues I've encountered, with fixes as I waded through the process:
Find where to download software you've purchased at Adobe-  hard to do since Downloads menu only shows current offerings (LR4, CS6, etc)Not obvious, had to google to find out:  You must look under Your Orders, where you will find a download button.
What the heck is Akamai Download Manager?   I decided to give Adobe the benefit of a doubt and downloaded it.  Akamai buried itself so deeply into your machine that I had to do a search to find out that it was now inside my System Preferences (not a location for an app!).  Weird.
Click on Akamai and find . . . . .NOTHING!!!  Ta Da!   And no instructions or menu (Yes, I read the ReadMe.pdf.  No help there either).   Litterally, there is an empty box, with no instruction how to begin the CS5 download.  Nothing.
Finally after trial and error I discover that the FIRST time you click Akamai Download Mgr. it installs inself,  the SECOND time you click the same link, it will begin to download the *.dmg file you seek.  How obscure is that???  Click same link, but get different results.  Lame.
After all of that I got a variety of input/output errors, and hang ups.  This is a on a machine that was reformatted with new OS the day before, BTW.
More google searches, gnashing of teeth, etc.
Finally found this page, which recommended to use CSC cleaner:  http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html  This seems to work and I am now nearly installed.    WHEW!
Bottom line, it was way too difficult to install CS5.   The Akamai interface desperately needs documentation.  The install should not take two days and multiple hours to read up and try to get lucky and actually get what I paid for.  Please.
