Photoshop CS6 CMS doesn't support multiple monitors system?

There are two video cards (GTX560Ti) and two monitors separately connected to them in my system. With hardware calibration (MonacoOPTIX) I have two separate icc profiles for each monitor, being uploaded on Windows startup in their correspondent LUTs through Color managemet applet in Control Panel (Windows 7). That works properly.
In my workflow routine I need Photoshop on monitor 2 (it's profile is acer2204.icm), but PS neither see nor use that profile, it uses the profile of another monitor (monitor 1, Benq.icm) only. Why? It's wrong. How can I make PS to use proper monitor profile? Is it possible? If not, then it is rather strange under Windows 7 improved color management features.

You seem to be confused about what Monitor RGB means. In your image you put a pointing arrow from Monitor RGB to the Custom color profile option as if you believe that those two options are connected. There is no connection between these two options. Choosing monitor RGB simply displays the images  in your monitor' color space without any color correction, in other words in effect this turns off the color management of  your monitor.
If you go to Custom and choose the monitor profile of one of your monitors, this will give different result.
If the "Preserve RGB numbers" is checked, this will result in the same effect as choosing Monitor RGB but will affect only one of your monitors - the one which is using the same color profile in the system - the other monitor, let's call it the second monitor, will try to simulate how the first monitor will display the color values if not converted.
If the "Preserve RGB numbers"  is not checked, which is how you should use it most of the time, this will simulate on both monitors how the colors will look like if you convert from the currently used color space to the color space of one of your monitors.

  • [SOLVED]Looking for a tiling manager which supports multiple monitors

I use musca and I absolutely have no problems with it other than this :
    http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php? … 04#p774104
I also tried emailing the musca distribution list but it bounced, so I am not sure how actively it is being maintained.
So I am on the lookout for a new tiling window manager. I know Xmonad supports multiple monitors, but I do not know haskell and I was hoping to find something else as well. Xmonad is also not a manual tiler.
So let me know if anyone of you knows of a tiler that has the above support.
EDIT : I have already looked at the Comparison of Tiling Window Managers over at the wiki. Infact I was the one who added Musca's entry in that table.

To change the border of the current client, you can use bn to use the normal border (including window title), bp to use a 1-pixel border (no window title) and bb to make the client borderless. There is also bt  which will toggle the different border styles.
    Examples:
    bindsym Mod1+t bn
    bindsym Mod1+y bp
    bindsym Mod1+u bb
or put in your config file
    new_window bb

  • IKEv2 Doesn't support Multiple Peers action to take

    Hi,
I have to establish a tunnel from the local FW to a remote FW in L2L
In case of failure of the remote FW, a tunnel has to be opened with the backup remote FW.
I have proposed to use IKEv2
But with following config i get the message: %ASA-4-752009: IKEv2 Doesn't support Multiple Peers
    crypto map local-map 30 set peer 22.22.22.22 33.33.33.33
So i have created two crypto maps:
    crypto map local-map 30 set peer 22.22.22.22
    crypto map local-map 40 set peer  33.33.33.33
The primary tunnel with peer 22.22.22.22 works fine  but with the backup tunnel with peer 33.33.33.33
The tunnel IPSEc is up  but no interesting traffic enters the tunnel:
    #pkts encaps: 0, #pkts encrypt: 0, #pkts digest: 0
    #pkts decaps: 28, #pkts decrypt: 28, #pkts verify: 28
I have first taken a capture on the inside interface  and i see the counter of the access-list incrementing
but when i take a capture on the outside interface, i don't see any interesting traffic.
I have tried the clear crypto command but no way.
Equipment: Cluster of Cisco ASA 5510 at rel 8.4.7
Do i have to reboot the FW or may be the two crypto maps that i have created are not the good solution.
As an alternative if i want to maintain both peers on the same line i can replace IKEv2 by IKEv1.
    Best regards.
    Andre

Hello Andre, this is a confirmed issue with Cisco. There is an official bug listed as "ENH: Multiple Peers support for IKEv2 CSCud22276" (Cisco customer login required to view bug). See also the Cisco TAC Document "Migration of IKEv1 to IKEv2 L2L Tunnel" with the following quote:
"Multiple peers used for redundancy is not supported with IKEv2 on the ASA. In IKEv1, for redundancy purposes, one can have more than one peer under the same crypto map when you enter the set peer command. The first peer will be the primary and if it fails, the second peer will kick in. Refer to Cisco bug ID CSCud22276 (registered customers only) , ENH: Multiple Peers support for IKEv2."
Here's an excerpt from the Bug Enhancement Request regarding how to work around the issue.
    "Either:
    1) remove all but one peer from the crypto map
    or
    2) use IKEv1 instead of IKEv2"
Hopefully this helps, it would be a great feature for Cisco to add for better migration from IKEv1. I guess a more complicated alternative might be to use BGP and multiple WAN connections to have more than one valid path for the same WAN IP of your IPSec IKEv2 peer.

  • Does LabVIEW 2009 support multiple monitors?

Does LabVIEW 2009 support the use of multiple monitors for development? Screen real estate use in LabVIEW is difficult. It would help if the developer could use more than one monitor.
In LabVIEW 2009 can you pin certain items to appear or pop up only on a specific monitor?
Can you have Front panels only show up on one monitor and Block Diagrams on another monitor?
    How is this done?

Not exactly like this, but LabVIEW VIs remember thier last location when saved and will come up at that positiont, unless that is entirely out of the current desktop in which case they will default back to the primary monitor.
Also VI server supports multiple monitors too by giving you back a list of monitor rectangles so you could do a little utility that runs in the background to do what you want. Most likely you will not like such a deamon that pulls your diagrams and panels around as you move them on your screen, but you can try it out.

  • Let's Be Honest / Save Time: Lenovo T430s (NVIDIA) DOES NOT Support Multiple Monitors

There have been a few comments / complaints / articles around the web regarding the T430s and difficulties using multiple monitors.
But since this capabilitiy is clearly documented in all of Lenovo's specifications and marketing literature, I went ahead and bought an i7, NVIDIA, SSD, T430s with the docking station and all the bells and whistles to facilitate 3 or even 4 monitors.
Well please listen and let's be clear:  IT DOES NOT WORK. Therefore, to be clear:
DO NOT BUY THIS MACHINE AND DOCK IF YOU WANT IT TO LIVE UP TO ITS MULTI MONITOR PROMISE.
In the two weeks since FedEx arrived, here is the deal:
    1) I fussed around with the dock and monitors at home and the office to no avail, for most of TWO weekends.  (I am not a beginner).
    2) Then, I spoke to Lenovo in Atlanta's tech support for THREE HOURS.  No results
    3) I spoke to Lenovo's "premium support" (paid) for FOUR HOURS.  No results.
    4) I consulted with a 3rd party expert on mulitple monitors who was kind enough to remote into my machine for another HOUR.  No results.
    5) Muliple parties have confirmed that yes, all hardware is working and yes, everything can be seen in device manager, and yes, the NVIDA card is properly switched on in the BIOS, yes I bought the i7 version etc.
    6) And just in case, yes, we wiped the drive clean for a factory reset, yes we unistalled and reinstalled all the drivers and yes, we even deleted the Lenovo driver just in case the NVIDIA driver was newer or better and yes, we double checked the settings in the BIOS again.
    7) Yes, we tried every connector in the dock AND the laptop:  VGA, DVI, DP and mini DP - in EVERY possible combination.
And NO, IT STILL DOESN'T WORK. AT ALL.  Two screens, take your pick, but THAT'S IT.
Finally, not one but TWO technicians asked me to not quote them (so I wont mention any names) but that in their opinion IT JUST DOESNT WORK AT ALL, EVER, despite Lenovo's claims / insistance that it is configured for 3 and even 4 monitors.
So the final conclusion was only that Lenovo must have rushed this T430 spec / configuration / capability to market (including the glossy brochures!) before figuring out that something is missing in the handshake between the mother board and the NVIDIA card?
Or in the firmware re swithing between the Intel (internal) and NVIDA card?
Or something else which prevents the NVIDIA card from seeing the ports on the laptop or the dock?
In summary 1) you get NOTHING from the NVIDIA upgrade and with respect to more than 2 monitors, IT JUST DOES NOT WORK, AT ALL, EVER, PERIOD and END OF STORY.
I too am a die hard old school Thinkpad enthusiast and with the company's service could match their classic products.
I have an X201 that I generall love, but would appreciate more speed, an SSD and I have to drive at least 3 external monitors, using at least 1920 x 1080 resolution.
Perhaps a W series Thinkpad would work, but I also travel so going up to the T430s was already a sacrifice vs the small size of the X201.
There are some 3rd party solutions but they are expensive and not so sure how plug and play they are with 3 or more monitors - what the T430s and Mini Dock 3.0 are SUPPOSED TO DO.  But they dont.
Not giving up yet, but this has been a real bummer.
    PS
Lenovo was very focused, efficient, and uncompromising when charging my CC for "premium" support.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Thors,
Thank you and happy to report, albeit after all the hours and now weekend number 3:
    1) For the moment, I am able to repeat the 3 screen performance using mini DP from the Thinkpad and 2 DPs from the dock to the external monitors
    AND
    2) For the first time ever, I am just now for the first time running the 3rd external monitor from the VGA port on the dock.
That is what I meant by using the various ports on the dock, so that the Thinkpad can simply be docked and undocked without connecting the mini DP - the purpose of a dock obviously.  As stated in other threads and articles, various configurations of the dock ports supposedly work to achieve 3 external screens, but until today was not able to do this.
That is the good news and thank you for all help.
The bad news is I stil have no clear idea why this has been so difficult, or where the problem lives that consumed so many hours of my own time and many hours with Lenovo tech support as stated above.
Some success seems to have happened only after more than one set of LONG updates to Windows 7 (?)
If I can replicate this set up the office (where I have 3 of the same monitors) I will be almost there.
Thank you again to all for help and support.

  • High PPI Support Multiple Monitors: How it comes that Remote Desktop implements the hight PPI support very well and win 8.1 doesnt?

    http://skovalev.de/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/RemoteDesktop-HighPPI-Perfect.png
Hello all: i am using an High PPI Monitors from Dell XPS15 (3600x1800) and a Normal FullHD above it. The FullHD monitor is an external device and is set up as the primary device. Scaling is set to per Monitor DPI.
Now the Question: how it comes, that my RemoteDesktop on the secondary (internal) screen has almost perfect implementation for this????
BUT i am am talking only about the RemoteDekstopManager, normal one does not works with high ppi in this way... Also ModernUI has no problems with scaling
    http://skovalev.de/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/Firfox-and-Resolution-RemoteDesktop.png
NOTE that the resolution on the remote desktop is set to 1600x900 and there are NO scaling problems even on the 3200x1800 monitor!
On both picutures you find the dell monitor on the bottom and the scaled original windows explorer/firefox on the bottom right. See how blurry it is? I really breaks my eyes :(
I hope Microsoft can finally fix the high PPI Monitors issue, since the solutions seems to be already implemented

No, i mean the Scaling Support.
If you use multiple monitor, in windows 8.1 you can scale per monitor. If you use this option with a High PPI monitor, like ultra HD or 4K, the image on the monitors with other PPI than the main monitors appears fuzzy and blury.
But there are also scaling problems even if you use only single monitor. This article blog describes it pretty good:
    http://www.hanselman.com/blog/LivingAHighDPIDesktopLifestyleCanBePainful.aspx
By the way there are lot article like this describing the scaling problems, not only by users but also by professinals and IT magazines...
BUT here it comes: watch @ my screenshots. If the remote desktops resolution is 1800x900 and the native resolution is 3600x1800, there are no scaling problems! HOW? So like you can see on my screenshots a native application on my monitor appears fuzzy while
the same application runnin of the remote desktop has clear type!
That means for me, that windows HAS the possibility to scale clearly, but somehow this feature is only supported by RDCM...

  • Photoshop CS6 goes crazy on my second monitor now I have updated to Mavericks

I've had a look around to see if anyone if having the same issues but haven't come across anything to help yet.
When I updated to mavericks my java installation disappeared & so Dreamweaver wouldn't work. Now I've installed jdk-7u51-macosx-x64.dmg & it's working again.
However now I'm seeing an issue with Photoshop CS6 when I drag it across to my second monitor- see image below
The only way I've found to get rid of this weirdness is to drag the screen back to the primary screen and wait for it to settle. Dragging the screen in itself is really laggy & I can sometimes manage to get it to appear normally on my second screen if I wait a bit or wiggle it around. But this time I can't even get the window to appear on my screen at all. It's as if the programme isn't open any more. But if I select 'show windows' I can see it is still open & still flashing with the mess shown in the image below.
Really quite frustrated with Apple about this, now I can't brag as much about how amazing macs are compared to PCs!!
    Help?!?

    Network 23 wrote:
The Mavericks Mac I'm writing on still has CS6 on it so I'll see if it happens to me when I'm near my desktop monitor.
Well, I just tried moving the Photoshop CS6 window around between two monitors in Mavericks and didn't get the same problem, so I really don't know what the problem is. But you could try asking at the actual Photoshop user forum since they'll know better questions to ask than we would in this forum.

  • Photoshop CS6 work window too tall for monitor display

On a MacBook Pro 15-inch retina display running OS 10.8.3, in Photoshop CS6: after launching PS, the work window is too tall for the monitor display. The bottom is cut off: there are no bottom scroll bars or nor any of the page info, I can't grab the resizing corner to change window dimensions. Also, I can't change from Standard Screen Mode: neither the left tool bar nor the F key has any effect. I've quit and restarted both the PS app and entire computer but problem persists. How can I fix? Thank you.

Try quiting PS, setting your screen resolution to the max setting, which will make apps appear smaller.  Restart PS, resize the PS window so that it's small, quit PS, and set you screen resolution back to where you had it.

  • What MacBooks can support multiple monitors?

I am shopping for a MacBook but I love having multiple monitors (preferably two, in addition to the screen attached to the laptop). Can older MacBook Pros (such as 2013) support two additional monitors? What about MacBook Airs (I am assuming not because it does not have HDMI)? Or is it just the latest MacBook Pro model (Retina)? To be clear, I am interested in extended displays, not merely mirroring displays.

I would recommend you a MBPR with about 8GB of RAM to securely avoid lag and a nice graphic card, perhaps the GeForce?

I'm trying to send one version of my video open in PS CS6 to Media Encoder at 1920x1080 then while that renders, I'd like to crop it and render it as 1440x1080.

I'm not familiar with how Photoshop uses AME, but I do know that there are several applications other than the primary professional video applications that use it. InDesign, for example, uses it for transcoding movies to be put into folios/magazines created in the digital publishing workflow (for tablets and such).
