Photoshop cs6 won't allow me to highlight my existing text layers. I select the text tool and the text layer I want to edit, hover over text and each time I attempto to edit a new layer is created. Does anyone have experience with this problem?

Be sure you go to Adobe's Web Site and make sure there are no Updates for CS6

Remember if you have trouble with a software issue it is the software and not caused by the Mac you are using
Many users simply don't remember when you upgrade software you normally have to go to 3rd party web sites and update software as well.

Get a flashlight and make sure there is no obstruction/dirt/debris in the Nano headphone jack. Be sure you plug the headphones all the way in, the plastic on the headset jack should be flush with the body of the Nano.

Photoshop CC will not update. Keep getting Error Code: U44M1I210. Can anyone help me with this?

Just recently subscribed to the Photography Photoshop/Lightroom suite monthly subscription. I have not had any problems with updating until this last one for October. I have tried numerous times to update but I keep getting the same error message code: U44M1I210. Need help trying to figure this out so that I can update my Photoshop program.

Does anyone have time for this one? photoshop 2014 gradient not working.

Working on a project with photoshop 2014 updated thursday night using foreground to transparent gradient. The edges of the picture are staying white instead of being transparent over the background or other pictures. I thought I was using the gradient correctly converting the pic to a png file, setting the mask, then applying the gradient to the edges. Is there something I am missing??? Please help.

below is a snip of the effect i am looking for. i remember it working in the trial version late 2013 photoshop. it was so simple i thought it would be hard to forget how, but i must be missing something. i looked, clicked and checked all around the work space to find a way to change from "background layer" and did not find it. the trial version (lets call it "trial period" because its all the same except paid for now along with updated to ps 2014) did also have the layer change in an easy to find way. i believe it was double click or right click over the currently active layer in the list as in the lower snip pic.
the pic above did work during my trial period so i know it works somehow. i dont know what i am missing now. right click or double click now does not bring up the layer type selection in the menu like you suggested to change from backgroung layer. also every new picture file i open makes its own new layer. when i make a new layer i havent figured out how to put a pic in it. if you could show me how to create this effect or find my missing step that would be awsome.

Everytime I connect my Iphone to my computer, it syncs, then soon after disconnects, then reconnects, and so on....Does anyone know why it's doing this? It makes it hard to back things up and charge it. I checked and my iTunes and iPhone software are updated and my computer is only 6 months old....help please!

Does anyone have Ford sync allowing text messaging with IOS 7.0.4?

I had all the settings working when I was on ios 6, but now that I have upgraded it quit working. I removed the sync from my phone and removed the phone from my phone from sync then paired again. Then set the sync notifications back to on but still no text. Does anyone have ford sync allowing text messaging with IOS 7.0.4?

I need to update, my messaging is now working. Apparently after going through the steps and the settng notifications to on all I had to do was turn off the car, open the door, and then return. When I got in my car this morning the text messaging (recieve only) was working.

I am unable to start Photoshop in Windows 7 (64 bit Home Premium). I gegt an error message saying Photoshop CS6 won't start and telling me to close the program. Assuming you did this with a Fill Layer, double-click the thumbnail in the Layers panel to bring up the Gradient Fill dialog, see to it that the [ ] Align with layer checkbox is set, and (while the Gradient Fill dialog is still up) try dragging the gradient to where you want it on the main display. Then [ OK ] out of the Gradient Fill dialog.

Importing illustrator pdfs into photoshop sometimes won't allow me to open and check resolution?

Here's the scenario:
Customer sends me an illustrator file with an embedded image. I need to check the resolution of the image to see see if it is high resolution enough for print. I delete all art but the image in illustrator and then save that file as a pdf with the illustrator default.
I drag that pdf file into photoshop where I get the "Import PDF" dialog box. I know if I select the "Pages" button, then the resolution and color that appears in the dialog box are not the true specifications for the image. I have to select the "Images" button and open the file from there HOWEVER sometimes this option is not available and the "open" button is grayed out. I have yet to figure out why this happens on some of the pdf files I've saved from Illustrator.
This is the only way I have found to check resolutions on embedded files where I do not have the actual linked graphic. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks for any help!

Just check the resolution in Illustrator instead of exporting a PDF to check in Photoshop.
If the image only is selected then the resolution is displayed in Control bar.
It may be in a nest of groups so either double-click repeatedly on the image until you've drilled down to it or select it in the Layers panel where the disclosure triangles will give access to it.

Make sure you are viewing your image at 100%. At smaller views, pixels and layers and the way they interact are approximate interpolations and won't show you the actual pixel-for-pixel changes.
