Photoshop Elements 10 Make dull skys blue quick option

I have just moved from 5 to 10.
There is an option when you have quick edit selected to make dull skys blue.
It worked for a few pictures and then it stopped working, but now I think it is working I just didnt understand it. Its possible I dont understand how it works. ( by the way I dont know all the terms I will try to be as descriptive as possible)
When I choose a sky that is all white, with the quick option. I see the marching ants. When I go to the full edit I can see a layer called Blue Skys1, But the sky does not look blue at all. Absolutly no change.
The sky does not change at all. If I choose Color Burn to normal it does blue the sky some what.
However If I take a picture that has a little blue and then use the quick option it does indeed make the sky bluer. I saw some note somewhere that the tool makes faint blue sky bluer. Im wondering if basically its working by design. eg if there is no blue sky but white haze then it cant enhance white to blue. Does anyone know if this is true.

The color change with the smart brush is not always what one would hope for.
The tool produces an adjustment layer.
Two things to try:
Increase the opacity of the the adjustment layer from 75% (default) to 100%
Scroll through the blending modes to look for additional enhancement. You can use the arrow keys on the keyboard to do that.
For a really good sky replacement technique, look at this thread, esp. posts 1&3. Do download to the Return to Eden brush set referenced there.

Elements 12 - what happened to 'make dull skies blue'?

I shoot a lot of landscapes and outdoor scenes. I also digitized a lot of old photos taken without polarizing filters. I used Elements 10 and its 'make dull skies blue' extensively. Now, having converted to Elements 12, I'm looking for the same feature - and can't find it anywhere.
I've tried the Help feature - and it comes up with answers for Elements 10 and 11.
I've searched the User Guide for Elements 12: nothing there
I've tried the tutorials. Again, nothing for Elements 12.
So, I have to turn to the Community for answers!!! If that feature is missing from Elements 12, then I'll go back to 10.

No word from Adobe who would know for sure, but...
On a lead from a Premiere Pro CS6 thread that run into missing Playback Settings or grayed out Playback Settings in Premiere Pro CS6 version as well, we tried creating the keyboard shortcut Alt+Shift+P to access a possibily hidden "Playback Settings", no success. (See Premiere Elements 12 Windows 7 or 8 64 bit, Edit Menu/Keyboard Customization/Windows/Monitor Window/Playback Settings.)

At this point, the Playback Settings button in preferences and the Playback Settings choice in the monitor as we knew them in Premiere Elements 11 appear to be gone.

How do I uninstall photoshop elements 6 (windows) when there is not option in add-remove programs

How do I uninstall photoshop elements 6 (windows) when there is not option in add-remove programs. I have looked on my hard drive extensively for a library or utility folder that would have an uninstall program, nothing. I want to install Elements 9, but have found out that Elements 9 does not remove Elements 6, so I want to remove elements 6 first.

Strange that PSE6 does not show up via the control pane.
I wouldn’t worry about uninstalling it. The two versions sit happily side by side and PSE6 takes up hardly any file space compared with PSE9.

How do I get my slideshow in Photoshop Elements to make a DVD in Premiere?

I make my slide shows in Photoshop Elements and put them into Premiere Elements to burn them to a DVD and play it on my Blu-Ray player. I have made seven of these in Photoshop Elements 8 and Premiere Elements 8. They are about 30 minutes long. Sometimes it will work and sometimes it won't. The people at Adope Photoshop Elements told me a number of different things to do - each person trying something different.
I bought Photoshop Elements 9 and Premiere Elements 9 and have a new computer. Today I burned, by hit and miss, two DVD copies of a 30 minute slide show. They are perfect.. Now I can't get a different slide show to open up in Premiere Elements. It says Serious Error. Premiere is shutting down. It does not shut down. I did get it to burn one, and it left me with pictures with black all around them.
My pictures were 8x 10 and "Crop to fit" Today I learned they were way too many pixels. and to 1,000 x 750 pixels. I made a short slideshow doing this, and still couldn't get it to open in Premiere Elements.
When I finish making a slideshow, I go to Output and Save As a movie file. When this is finished I go to Output Edit with Premere Elements. When Premiere comes up I click on Open Product. From there I'm lost on just exactly what to do. Once I get the slideshow up on Premiere Elements I have no problem going to Share and burning the DVD.
Is this a common problem having problems getting the slide show to Premiere Elements, or just a lack of knowledge? I would someone telling me in simple steps just exactly what I need to do once I get to Premiere Elements.

Downloaded photoshop elements 12 it is giving me the option to open with... what do i do

Is your iPad jailbroke? If it is, all bets are off. If it is not jailbroke, keep reading.
First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. It could take well over an hour! Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple - choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.

Photoshop elements 10 for Mac missing facebook share option

I am super new to photoshop elements and any type of photo editing to be honest. I was just looking for the option to share my photos to facebook. I looked at some tutorials online, and they all seem to have the share to facebook option under the share menu. I don't have that option and some other share options. Does element 10 not come with this feature? Please help!!

Photoshop Elements 10 - Marquee Tool not showing eliptical option

The Marquee Tool does not show the elliptical option. I am running on Windows 7. I do not know if the elliptical option was ever there since I am very much a novice and just learning now.

Yes, different versions of PSE can coexist peacefully. Just be sure to run one version at a time. Also, if you use the Organizer, beware that changes you make to the PSE 8 catalog won't be visible in the PSE 7 catalog and vice versa.

Color space change when using photoshop elements plug in

When I select photo and edit with photoshop elements, Aperture makes a copy of the file as expected, but I can see the image color/hue etc. has changed, why? Is there some setting I am missing? The color of the image shouldn't change, should it? Just doesn't make sense!

Where do you see the color change of the copy?
In the thumbnail or preview before it is send to the external edtor?
When the image is opened in the external editor?
Or after it is send back from the editor?
I do not see any color changes when I use PS CS5; it may help to see a screenshot.

Issue importing a file into photoshop elements 11

I am new to Photoshop Elements 11. I am just playing around with it right now to get used to it since I've never worked with the program before. I am importing files from iphoto and it is working fine except for one thing. I imported a group of photos and while I was playing around in Elements (basically to get used to naming folders/albums/moving things around/etc) I deleted the folder I had imported, more or less to see what happens, and now when I try to import the same file into Elements again, it tells me that "the file selected to import did not contain supported file types or the files are already in this catalog." I cannot find these pictures anywhere within my catalog, so why will it not let me import them a second time? I have looked all over online for an answer to this and have come up empty handed. If someone knows how I can get this group of pictures into Elements, please let me know! I'd like to start practicing with the editing options but need these pictures in the program first. (I did also create an album from the file I imported, again to practice moving things around within Elements, and when I deleted the Folder the Album went away too.) I am still able to import other files from iphoto, it is just that this one particular file will not transfer....is it because I deleted it and now it somehow does not recognize the file??

Using Adobe Photoshop Elements installed on another volume

I am using Photoshop Elements 6 on a Mac computer running OS 10.9.
I am working on a video project that will not open in OS 10.9. My hard drive is partitioned to include an older Mac OS (OS 10.6) which I boot into when working on the project. This procedure works fine until I need to use Adobe Photoshop Elements to make changes to still photos within the project. The problem is that the Photoshop Elements application that exists within my main hard drive boot volume will not run within the OS 10.6 volume, even though it previously did when OS 10.6 was the current OS.
I get an error message that states that “Licensing for this product has stopped working.” and it says that I need to reinstall the product. For various reasons, I don’t wish to install Photoshop on two separate volumes of the same physical hard drive. There must be a way to make the same application work with both volumes, just as most other applications do. Is there a way to do this?

Floating screen within Photoshop Elements

I am running Photoshop Elements 12 on a Macbook Pro with a Retina Display. In Photoshop Elements Organizer the screen is floating up above the menu bar and I can not access the menu to create new albums, close program, or see the top of my photos at full screen. I have seriously spent hours online googling the issue but I have not found out a way to move the screen back down. I have changed the resolution which makes it smaller but the top is still missing. I have clicked on every setting and preference options on my Mac and within the Elements program and nothing has works. The screen will not drag down either. I would appreciate any help someone can give me! And advice of how to avoid this happening again...

If you are on trial application, so whenever you launch Photoshop Elements Editor, it will give you the option to serialize your product.
