Photoshop Elements 6 not opening jpegs following adjustment.

I am getting the following error message: Photoshop Elements could not complete your request because a JPEG marker segment length is too short (the file may be truncated or incomplete).
This error message has occured with images that I have imported and renamed in Bridge and to which I have made adjustments in Photoshop Elements 6. The images which I have renamed but not resized or adjusted or touched in any way are opening without a problem. Whatever the problem it is doesn't seem to be anything to do with re-naming. This problem has occured previously but because it involved only a small number of files I just re-did them and the problem did not re-occur. On this occasion it's 40+ files so it's time to find out the cause if possible. Help would be appreciated. Thanks - Victor

Your computer may have insufficient RAM. When adding text you are temporarily increasing the file size by adding a new Layer (the text layer) which requires more memory.
Try this:
Add your text, then click Layer >>Flatten image. Then save and press Ctrl+W to close the file. Then move to your next open file and repeat.

Photoshop Elements not Opening. Error 150:30

After not using Photshop Elements on my MacBook Air for about 8 months, I tried to open it without success. I get the message "Licensing for this product has stopped Working," with an Error Code 150:30. Rebooting doesn't help at all. As an added burden, my Safari has stopped working, so when I go to the Adobe web page for suggestions, some of the things I click on take me to Safari rather than my current substitute (Firefox).

Why won't Photoshop Elements 12 open?

After being away for 3 months, I attempted to open and use PSE 12 and it does not open. Today I uninstalled and reinstalled thinking that would help, but it doesn't. It appears as though it's going to open, but the little "streaming" just stops. Your assistance in resolving this problem is greatly appreciated.

I am not a technician so I can't go too deep in the analysis... I did all I could imagine to do, I would like that somebody from Adobe would take care of this issue finding solution to the problem.

Photoshop will not open in a Creative Cloud trial, although Indesign & other programs are fine, says I need an internet connection or the clock is set wrong?

Only tried the Photoshop Elements, and haven’t change computer name or time

Photoshop will not open some of my files

I recently had a hard drive crash. I sent it to a recovery company and they returned my files on a new hard drive. Many of the images were recovered but some show up as CR2 files or psd files that photoshop will not open. The message says that this is a file format that PS does not recognize. These files seem to be no different from my other CR2 files and psd. files but the thumbnails don't show up in Bridge and PS will not open them. Can anyone tell me how to get these files to open?

you may also want to try using the DNG converter with your CR2 files:

it's worth a try, but it's a long shot.

Adobe Photoshop Elements 11 - open .eps files?

Can it be that Adobe Photoshop Elements can open 11 no. Eps files? This worked before but?
If that is so, why is not it? Is there an alternative?

I just feel i should comment and say if one opens an eps with a tiff preview with File>Open As>Tiff, then all one gets in pse 11 is the 8 bit preview file and not the real fullsize eps.
And the workaround by putting the EPS Parser.8BY plugin from an older version of photoshop elements doesn't help those who don't have an older version of photoshop elements.
(yes people have a choice to buy pse 11 or not, but since adobe doesn't offer older versions, then people will still buy it)
I think a majority of people want to open vector files saved from illustrator that are not in the pdf format, in which there thousands of those on the web for download.
(as an example pse 11 ships with some postscript patterns inside the patterns folder, but one can't open them in pse 11)
I would like to suggest making the plugin available for those that don't have an older version of elements to get the EPS Parser.8BY from.

After installation CC, Photoshop will not open. Program error?

I got a subscription on Creative Cloud. Downloaded CC and Photoshop, but Photoshop will not open. After the splash-screen, it says something about a program error, and then it stops. I deleted CC and PS and reinstalled everything, but still the same result. I work on a Mac, and all software is up to date..

1. try resetting your preferences: hold down shift-ctrl-cmd while starting ps. you'll see a confirmation dialog if done correctly.

Photoshop element 8 opens a Crash report while exiting the application (win 7 64bit).

photoshop element 8 opens a Crash report while exiting the application (win 7 64bit). however the program itself is working as we can see the saved data and function it.
However no idea why it opens a crash report when the application exited properly. It's happening almost on 30 computers. re-install PS8 but still the same.

Yes please i cant find the source anywhere. I have tried in bunch of computer on all or win 7 64bit but couple of them opening the crash report. Having said that program is working with no issues. it just opens the window when i exit from the application
it happens only under EDIT not on Organise
I have tried uninstalled and re-installed still it doesnt work

The only meaningful figures for 'resolution' with a digital image are the pixel dimensions. They are not changed by saving.
The ppi (pixel per inch) information is not a property of the image, just like the dimensions of your prints : it's your choice when you want do display or print your images. The detail level of your image is dependent on the pixel size.

How do I set Elements to open jpeg files?

I have been using Photoshop Elements to open, manage and fix my photo files. Since I installed an Adobe Reader update, the photo files and attachments try to open with Adobe Reader X, which only opens pdf files and can't open the jpeg photos. The only way I can open them now is by going to Elements and using the Open command. How can I reset Elements to it automatically opens photo files? I am using Windows XP. Thanks

There is no warp tool in PSE.
If you select the clone stamp from the enhance section of the tools pallet in Expert Mode you can switch to the pattern tool in the tool options section at the bottom of the Editor Window. Then click the dropdown menu to view the available patterns.
Not sure what you mean by kaleidoscope. It is possible to make collages from the Create tab. After selecting the basic collage, click the layout button at the bottom and a range of choices are available, but not kaleidoscope.
