Photoshop file opening new tab

i'm trying to work with a photoshop file in psd format (saved as a copy, rather than as layers), which i've imported into fcp. parts of it are transparent, and i would like to be able to set motion and distortion keyframes to correspond with those on the other clips below it on the timeline. but when i double click on it, it opens a new tab on the timeline, where i can only set keyframes by double-clicking on "layer 1".......is there anything i can do to avoid having to work with this other tab, because it's getting confusing trying to coordinate it with other clips, when i'm not able to see all keyframes marks at the same time. i tried saving the file as a jpeg or a tiff in order to be able to manipulate it like any other clip, but when i do that, the transparent sections are saved as black or white, rather than transparent. i would greatly appreciate any help on this.

Do what you're doing - the trick is once you have the psd opened in it's own tl, with all the layers showing.
Right there - make a new bin in the browser - drag all the layers from the tl to that new browser bin.
Now you can go hog wild with the different layers and add them to your main seq.
Another trick is to right click the layer you want in the psd tl and choose open in viewer, then add that to you main tl.
fwiw I prefer to get all the layers into a bin in the browser and go from there.

Can not use scroll mouse in html tab when open pdf file in new tab with middle button but will avaliable only after switch to pdf tab and switch back to html

When I open a "pdf" file in new tab with middle mouse click. After few second my mouse will not able to scroll in page that I read. But it will be able to scroll only after I click to any opened pdf tab and click on pdf document and click back on previous tab to continue reading. It is not only happen on my laptop also on my desktop too. (winxp 4gb/8gb ram core2 duo 2.66)

I can press ctrl for a new tab but otherwise a new tab does not open. I actually need help regarding this new Synch which apparently will be in Firefox automatically in an upcoming version so I am asking how that will synch with people who use LastPass-of course because I use this very successfully and really am not eager to change the set up that I have in place at this time.
I have read through endless FAQ trying to find anyone else who has this question or concern but have found nothing. Can you please tell me how that service will get along with LastPass which does basically the same thing as Synch-it is probably spelled wrong as it looks wrong to me but if I click back to where this issue began, I will lose all of this question so please respond for the upcoming service synch.

Uninstall the Ask toolbar and it should work again. There is a compatibility issue with the Ask toolbar and Firefox that prevents new tabs from being opened.
There are a couple of places to check for the Ask toolbar:

Firefox 3.6.13 does not open new tabs anymore. Ctrl-T, file- new tab , right click new tab no longer works. Why is this?

No new extensions or add-ons have been installed. And all the features options to open new tabs fail to open a new tab. Can someone tell me how to fix the problem? I'm tempted to downgrade to an earlier version of firefox or reinstall 3.6.13 to see if that fixes the problen.

The next problem is trying to report the problem to firebug. firefox blocks the https://blog.getfirebug.com/2012/10/09/firebug-1-10-4/#respond web site/page because of its certificate, but does not give you an option to accept the certificate anyway.

I have 9.0.1 on 2 pc's, both xp sp3. On 1 the 'open new tab' button is visible, on the other, the 'open new tab' button is not even available in the 'customize toolbar' menu for dragging and dropping. Why?

I used the same installation file, but on 1 pc, the 'open new tab' button is available in the 'customize toolbar' menu and can be dragged and dropped onto the navigation bar. On the other pc, the 'open new tab' button/icon is not even available for dragging and dropping. I uninstalled firefox completely, including settings and preferences, then reinstalled, but that did not correct the missing button.

Please try '''Restore Default Set''' in the '''Customize...''' window. If it's still not visible, one reason could be that the button is already placed on the toolbar but may be hidden behind another icon or toolbar.

Since the 3.6.23 update, I can't open new Tabs manually, but apps can. What happened?

If I click on the new-Tab "+" nothing happens. If I select New Tab from the File menu or type Ctrl-T, nothing happens. But apps opening new windows (in prefs, I ask they open new windows as Tabs), new Tabs appear as usual.
I've checked my Options, nothing seems to preclude manually opening new Tabs, so I'm at a loss.
