Photoshop trial - invalid checksum

iMac 2.4GHz Core 2 Duo
OS X 10.6.8
4Gb ram
>900Gb free
I've downloaded the trial 4 times now, different times of the day. Keep getting invalid checksum after downloading. Disk Utility is unable to verify, with the exact same CRC32 on the last three files (I deleted the first one). Same errors every time:
From the CRC it looks like I get the exact same file every time.
I routinely download >1Gb files daily, >8Gb files weekly (on another computer) and checksums match. Should prove my ISP/Internet connection is not to blame as one suggested solution (use another ISP). I could use that computer to do the download but it's Windows and I want the the Mac version.
IS THERE A DIRECT LINK TO DOWNLOAD THE TRIALS?
I've reset Safari, I've deleted ADA prefrences and cache, I've cold booted, I save the file in different locations in my user folder, still get the same CRC each time.

Ramfade you mentioned you have removed the preferences and cache.  Can you please confirm if you have completed the steps listed in Solution 1 of Troubleshoot Adobe Download Assistant - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/troubleshoot-download-assistant.html#main_Solutio n_1.
I ran into this issue when a download was interrupted unexpectedly.  Once I completed the steps in solution 1 and reinitiated the download I was able to download the trial successfully.
You might also want to try a wired connection or a different Internet connection while trying to download.  Perhaps there is a server between you and the download server which is causing your difficulties at the moment.

  • Tried to download a trial -- Invalid Checksum?

I tried to get a trial of Photoshop CS5 extended and when it was being extracted I was notified that the checksum was invalid and that I could not continue.  It won't let me redownload or make sure I got the one for a mac....now what do I do

I am having that same problem. I have an ethernet line to my imac coming out of an apple time capsule. Unfortunately I cannot cancel the download, the cancel button si grayed out and it is stuck saying "extracting... this may take a while"

  • "Invalid checksum" when downloading photoshop trial

I downloaded the download assistant, and then tried to download the 30 day free trial of photoshop, and after several hours of downloading it came up with: The following disk images couldn't be opened - DesignPremium_CS5_5 invalid checksum.... what do I do now?? I thought I could try downloading it again but it won't let me now that the other one has almost downloaded..

It is possible that the download is corrupt.  You can go to Applications>Utilities>Disk Utility and turn off the checksum feature.  It is located under the Disk Utility Menu and then Preferences.  I would recommend turning it back on though after you are done.  If you still have difficulties though you will need to download the install files again.

  • Invalid Checksum Error for Photoshop Elements 10 installation

I have tried installing Photoshop Elements 10 on my Macbook but I got an "invalid checksum" error (saying that the following disk images couldn't be opened).  Was there a previous solution to this type of problem?

That response is not at all helpful.  I have no idea what you were referring to, but there is no pale yellow bar at the top of the forum when I am looking at it now.
In the future, consider posting a URL or something else that will continue to be relevant and useful in a persistent way.  Perhaps typing a sentence or two about what's going on if you know.  If it seems obvious to you, that doesn't mean it will be in the future to others having the same problem.

  • "invalid checksum" error downloading Photoshop 5.1

How do I solve this issue? Have tried downloading Photoshop 5.1 numerous times and keep getting an invalid checksum error when it completes and wont launch ... Also at this point the extracting bar on the download manager just freezes.

And more specifically? Operating system? Browser? System specs? Could be an issue with temporary disk space required for the extraction, could be that some security tool is interferring, could be that your network connection produces errors... Impossible to even guess without more info.

  • Photoshop Elements 10 - invalid checksum

I've been unable to run the trial of Elements 10, I've downloaded the file ok, but I then get a pop up "The following disk images couldn't be opended" and gives the reason as "invalid checksum".  Any ideas on how I can get the file to run.?
    Thanks

This indicates that your download is possibly corrupted.  Do you see any messages in the Adobe Download Assistant such as that it might still be extracting?  Where did you choose to download the install files too?

  • Adobe Premier CS 5.5 Trial won't open. Invalid checksum

program downloaded, go to open and comes up invalid checksum. Nothing opens. Note: the download assistant kept trying to Extract for hours before this. Would never stop spinning.

Re-download. Invalid checksums mean the archive is damaged. Before downloading again, make sure your harrdrive is okay by running fcheck/ Disk Utility, defragmenting it etc. Also make any security tools behave. Deep-scanning archives by virus scanners may sometimes damage them.

I have seen this problem on other products and my internet connect, my Wifi, is very strong..all bars on my macbook are black.
So I'm not sure what the problem is.

Did you download Premiere Elements 12 Mac from Adobe or from some place else? Is the download a tryout or purchased?
    Have you tried the uninstall/reinstall?
Cant install premiere elements cd or online trial on Mac
Please read through the suggestions for "Invalid Checksum" offered in a Photoshop Elements issue.
None of them worked for that users, but one of them, especially the one from Adobe Staff, might work for you.
Re: Can't install photoshop elements 10 on Mac OS X 10.9.2...
If you need to get an alternative source of download files, please see the following web site
    http://prodesigntools.com/photoshop-elements-12-direct-download-links-premiere.html
It is critical that you read and carry out the web site's "Note: Very Important Instructions" and "here" in order to avoid an Access Denied message.
Are you saying that you have tried to install other video editors on your Mac and have run into the same error? Or are you just reading about other
    reports of "Invalid Checksum".

  • MacBook error - invalid checksum

On my MacBook I attempted to download trial version of Photoshop cs6 during the night and received this error message this morning: Photoshop_13_L516.dr invalid checksum
In searching for the fix there are many, many problems with this download. We have our own DSL - AT&T router. I can not find the graphics in the energy preferences to disable as one person suggested. What exactly must I do? I will purchase Photoshop cs6 but would like to look at the differences between Photoshop and Photoshop Extended first. Thank you.
    Mac OS X   10.6.8

Where did you choose to download the install files too?  I would recommend trying the download again but choosing the default location of the User folder.

  • Problems with the CS6 Master Collection disk image (invalid checksum)

I have problems downloading the trial for CS6 Master Collection for MacOS X.
I've tried downloading using the Download Assistant, both as a privileged and an unprivileged user, and have also tried the direct download as both privileged and unprivileged. Each time I've waited until the download was complete before trying to install, but every time the disk image fails to open, complaining of an "invalid checksum".
I've tried mounting the disk image without validating the checksum, but while I can then run the installer, the installation fails due to lack of privileges – again, this is regardsless of user privileges. I've also tried deleting the preferences and cache-files for Download Assistant, but to no avail.
Can anyone confirm that the english version of the CS6 Master Collecion disk image is working and can be mounted without error on MacOS X 10.7? I have now downloaded and re-downloaded the disk image at least eight times, and while I have a fast Internet-connection, this is getting tedious.

I just downloaded the DMG from Adobe.com using the trial and it mounts fine. I was able to start the installation.
I did not get a checksum error or any other error.
However, I found these instructions in another thread:http://forums.adobe.com/message/4370247#4370247
    <quote>
If the download is completed in the Adobe Download Assistant you can temporarily turn off the feature to verify the checksum.  The following steps will allow you to temporarily disable this feature:
Open the Disk Utility located in Applications/Utilities
Go under the Disk Utility menu and select preferences
Deselect the option to verify checksums
    Try mounting your DMG file
I would recommend turning this feature back on though after the installation is complete.  Also if you notice this happening on additional files it can indicate a problem with your Internet connection.

Could you try these steps and let us know if you were able to proceed.

  • Fireworks CS6 Error Message "Invalid Checksum"

I'm quite computer literate and know my way around OSX very well, however I'm having issue downloading this trial version of Fireworks CS6.
First I tried downloading it with OSX 10.8.2, and I go the error "Invalid Checksum"...in other words the file was corrupted or incomplete (correct?).
I then updated my OS to 10.8.3 and attempted the download a second time, I encountered the same error.
My hardware: 2012 15" Macbook Pro Retina
Internet is fast enough to play games like Halo and Call of Duty, so this shouldn't be an issue.
Is this a common bug? Do i just need to try and download the file until it finally works? Or is there something I can do?
I also deleted Adobe Install and redownloaded that as well, but it didn't change anything.
Basically I'm out of ideas and am hoping someone else has some helpful knowledge.
*Just tried a 3rd time and encountered the same error. I just can't get this do download correctly, any help would be much appreciated.

You are missing the obvious: Use another browser.

  • When i try to open the master collection i get a error message saying invalid checksum

when i try to open the master collection i get a error message saying invalid checksum

I'm trying to install Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 (English North Americas) and have the same problem.
#1 the default location is in some Local / User folder and I too made it the Application folder. Now Adobe Download Manage will only download to Applications folder. The first time the installer failed I logged out, but the installer .dmb was erased. Second download I copied to the Desktop, and deledted the orgional in the Applications folder. BOTH .dmg had checksum errors. BOTH failed on install. Restart of systm changes nothing
I'm on Cable and am able to download 20G files without issue. (I work with 1080i/p movies all the time). MacOS 10.7.4 MacBook Pro 2.2 i7, 4GB, 200GB free space
As someone who has used Adobe products since before Photoshop v.1 was released, this would be far from the first bad Adobe installer!

  • What does Invalid Checksum mean?

I am trying to download and install the Trial version of InDesign, and after a long download time it tells me that " The following disk images couldn't be Opened" because of "invalid checksum".
What do I need to do to fix this?

It would appear that your download got corrupted.  I would recommend deleting the file you downloaded and try downloading again.  If you continue to run into this difficulty you may want to try utilizing a different Internet service provider to download the file.

  • .dmg file won't open, invalid checksum

    Hi there -
I'm downloading the CS6 Master Collection trial via the Adobe Download Assistant onto a Mac running OS 10.7.4. When I try to open the .dmg file, I get the warning:
The following disk images couldn't be opened
    MasterCollection_CS6_LS16.dmg, invalid checksum
If this helps, the download bar in the Assistant says "Extracting... this may take a while." It's been like that for about three hours.
Do I need to re-download? It took ~24hrs, so if I don't have to, I'd rather not.
    Thanks!

I tried to do that as I first downloaded it from Firefox, then Safari, like you said to, but I got a message saying that "This product is already in the queue and will be not be added (error 105). If you believe you have received this message in error, you can restart Adobe Download Assistant and try to add the product again".
I have already tried this four times, I even "Force Quit" ADA to clear the queue, but whenever I click on the download button on the Adobe website, I keep getting the same message.
This only started because I had the same error as the original post.
