PI 7.1 AAE Interface statistics and monitoring

Hi SAP community!
I currently have Advanced Adapter Engine interfaces running through my systems (which bypass Integration Server by design), and my issue is for data/statistics.
RWB is able to display the AAE/Adapter Engine messages in groups, but in terms of numbers (Datbase Overview in Message Monitoring), only messages that flow through the Integration Server is displayed.
I have used Wily to get some data, but I'd like to see daily totals and statistics.
Thank you all in advanced
Rocco

Hi Sekhar,
I have not been given any answers in terms of data and statistics.
We have been told that the Java Early Watch reports can give totals, but have not implemented it yet.
Message Monritoing via RWB is the simplest way, unfortunately because AAE is mostly in memory when the maximum number of messages are hit.  The oldest are removed from memory.
I've been trying to figure out how Wily collects the AAE messages, but am finding it difficult to understand their logic (and since it's CA's software they probably won't share how they are doing it).
7.11 apparently has a way to mornitor data in a very simple way (but not worth to update/upgrade if only doing it for stats).
730 is going to be the latest PI which will collect the statistics, J2EE will be decentralized seperated from ABAP side.
Hope that helps your situation a little bit.
Also if you didn't know (because I didn't right away) here is the message monitoring link for messages which breaks down the inbound/outbound connection times and steps (for single message troubleshooting and message breakdown).

Good luck

  • What interface and monitors are you using?

I need to buy a new interface and monitors. I'm interested in the Native Inst. Audio Kontrol 1, the Line 6 Toneport UX2, and the Emu 0404 USB 2.0. I'll probably go with the Blue Sky Media Desk monitors.

    hey there NIKKO,
i use a MOTU 828 MKII w/ a MOTU MIDI Timepiece AV & Alesis M1 MK2 Active monitors. it's not all about the hardware/software.... check out Auralex & Auralex University. a great site w/ info on room accoustics & how they can afffect your recordings & mixes. see this link -http://www.auralex.com/
it's about making music & having a good time doing it. & it is a good time on a Mac!!! good luck w/ whatever you get.

  • Surround /mixing and monitoring audio interface

    Dear forum,
I am searching for an audio interface to use with MBP or G5 for mixing and monitoring of four to 6 outputs channels into PMC active speakers. I am using a Lavry DA 11 DAC for stereo monitoring. I do not require an interface with inputs for recording music as all my recording is done away from my macs, it just the outputs i need to monitor audio I have loaded to computer via CF card. All the interfaces I see have loads of inputs I don't require. Is there an interface available without inputs?
Or I am looking at the wrong sort of device?
    regards
    David

You need an interface that has 8 outputs. Most of these include 8 or more inputs as well. The inputs will not be a problem when mixing, you can ignore them.
I have yet to see an interface that is only outputs.
    Cheers

    Hi Ganesan,
I am proposing a design like this. You can have the STP in pvst mode and have a different priority set for the core switch to make it core a as root bridge. There is nothing wrong with your design you have made you core switch which will be physically down to your firewall... but in real it comes on the top of your firewall as well... But spanning tree conf should be done properly to achieve this... I have proposed my design which is pretty simple but easy for troubleshoot....
You can have your firewalls connected to core switch on the down and can directly connected to router on outside... always core a -->py fw--rtra will be the primary path... if anything goes wrong then secondary line will come in to picture....
make sure that your hsrp will have high priority to ur core a vlan conf for the access switches.....

  • Catalyst 3550 & 3560/3750 command 'show mls qos interface statistics'

On the Catalyst 3550 the command 'show mls qos interface statistics' will show ingress packet (or byte) counts with DSCP values. If you have policers configured then it also shows a count of packets that have been marked down to another DSCP value due to policing or any that have been dropped (obviously 'mls qos monitor dscp x' needs configuring). The same command on the 3560/3750 only shows the ingress & egress DSCP values, there is no column that shows packets (or bytes) that have been policed or dropped. Is there any command to display the same information with the 3560/3750?
Neither platform show counters when the command 'show policy-map interface x/x' is used so this won't work.
    Thanks
    Andy

Hi, I believe there is a command on the 3560 'sh mls qos interface policers' may be what you are looking for.
Here is what the command says it outputs:
To display QoS information at the interface level. This information includes:
The configuration of the egress queues and the CoS3-to-egress-queue map
    Which interfaces have configured policers
Ingress and egress statistics, which includes the number of bytes that have been dropped

  • Generate Prime Interface Availability and Utilization Report for unified APs

    Hi,
I´m trying to generate interface availability and interface utilization report for unified APs on Prime Infrastructure 2.0, but it doesn´t display any information. I have created device health and interface health templates under desing/Monitor configuration/My templates and deployed under Deploy/Monitoring deployment, but it still don´t show any information,
    thaks for your help.

    Hi Alejandro,
Did you solve this problem? Or is it a bug?
I face the some issue with you, I just run "Report/Report Launch Pad/Deivce/Interface Utilization"
and then I create a report for interface utilization.
But it display nothing when the report run finished.
I ask some guys in this forum, they said maybe it's a PI2.1 bug.

  • Unwanted interface Alarms and Events in PI2.0

We receive a lot of interface events and alarms from our 3560s access ports. We have not deployed any interface monitoring yet but still hundreds of alarms and events warns us about interfaces going up and down. Anyone who know why Prime is monitoring all interfaces and how to disable that?
    Many tanks in advance

Additional lab tests shows that all interfaces of a device indeed is monitored by snmp. When an interface changes from UP to DOWN/DISABLE an event and an alarm is generated. We have not deployed any "Interface health montoring" and still the interfaces are monitored. Not good for access ports.
As a workaround we created a new Interface health monitoring template with the interface availability check disabled and just one other check enabled (interface util) and deployed it on two specific ports on a switch. Did not help. Alarms were still generated when the access ports were disabled.
    Any ideas?

  • SFDM Tool (Shop Floor Dispatching and Monitoring), Technical questions

    Hi Everybody,
i am very excited to change knowledge here on the SCN.
Right now I am analyzing the SFDM Tool (Shop Floor Dispatching and Monitoring) and need some more Information, which cannot be found via Internet research. I hope someone, who is familiar with the technical details can support me with answers.
    1. Master Data:
    - How does the Interchange of master data (such as machine capacities in terms of time/quantities or number of available machines) work between the       SFDM and the ERP System?
    - Is there a permanent interface between the SFDM and the master data in the ERP System?
    - If so, which of the master data are communicated?
    - Are there any limitations?
    - Do BAPIs (Business Application Programming Interface) play a role?
    - Is any further master data maintenance necessary, if the customer wants to implement SFDM?
    2. There is a backend component situated in the ERP System called "SFDM on ABAP 1.0". What is the aim of this component?
    3. Does the SFDM work with algorithms? If so, why?
    4. Does the SFDM consider other machines in the same production plant?
    5. Does it work over HANA?
    6. Any further functionalities or restrictions?

    Hi
i wouldn't recommend SFDM for performance problem solving, if this is the issue you are facing.
If this is because planners are "lost" with CM25 because of problems for Production Orders selection and so-on, then try SFDM.
There is no new functionality compared to CM2x transactions within ERP.
The benefits are clearly focused on design and user-friendliness:
    interactive logs
easy configuration of settings and strategy compared to CM2x TCodes
    accessible details
Please keep also in mind the fact that this is working for individual capacities (cf. Rough Guide) and related constraints in terms of capacity category (only 0001 is supported).
    Best regards.

  • Gathering schema Statistics and Index rebuilding

I want to know after how much time we must gather the schema Statistics and Index rebuilding.
In our system approximately 7 logfile generates in one day
    Please suggest me

Index rebuilding sounds so much Oracle 7! Indexes today generally take care of themselves quite well, throughout inserts, deletes and updates. It rebalances itself automatically when necessary, without requiring any rebuild. As for the stats, run it for sure after large data movements (i.e. deletes and inserts). Besides that, implement table monitoring for your tables, and run once in a while dbms_stats with the options parameter as GATHER STALE. That way, Oracle will automatically know which objects need their stats refreshed.

  • Availability of Runtime Statistics and Passing to Reports/DB Tables

    Hi,
We're hoping to improve Crystal Report performance, and in order to do so, we're hoping runtime statistics or monitoring is logged.
Are runtime statistics (Crystal Reports Pass 1/Pass 2 start time/elapsed time/finish time, as well as the individual server nodes' performance) logged when an instance of a crystal report is run? If so, are there default directories such as /logging, /auditing that exist? Or does this have to be configured?
Can these statistics be passed into the report when it runs as a formula or command, or maybe a script be produced to be used to update an Audit Table for example?
    Thanks,
    Eric

I would also suggest you to go through the blogs made by Manikandan Elumalai with regards to query builder. Quilder will help to locate the time duration took by an instance.
    BusinessObjects Query builder queries
Also this time taken by an instance can also be found by going through its instance properties.

  • Can the interface menus and icons be set a little larger in 64bit Photoshop version????

Other than setting the font size to large in Photoshop preferences, the interface icans and fonts in the menus are still small on my Dell HD monitor, 27"...is there a way to make them larger or am I stuck with the sixe I have at its setting.
Any help here would be appreciated...
    Thanks!!!!

    No, the sizes are fixed.

  • Can the interface menus and icons be set a little larger in 64bit Photoshop version CS6 ????

Can the interface menus and icons be set a little larger in 64bit Photoshop version CS6 ????
It would be very helpful if the tools and font size choices were enhanced to Larger, Largest or custom enhance. Anyone know if that is an idea we can send to Adobe?

I wonder about folk who use small screen laptops with a high pixel density. I'd guess that there are 1920x1200 laptops with 17 or possibly even 15 inch screens, and Photoshop is going to be a nightmare to use on them. Heck, the notebook sized iPad 3 has a >2000 pixel screen! That sort of pixel density is going to work its way through to laptops, before too long. I have read about LED televisions with 4K (equivalent of four 1080 panels) and even 8K (equivalent of 8 1080 panels) screens. Is that going to work its way through to computer monitors? To be fair, we are talking about 60inch screens here, but nothing surprises me anymore when it comes to gamers and their hardware!!!
I have all but given up using Photoshop on my 19 inch laptop with a 1920x1200 screen because it is not comfortable compared with the 30 inch monitor I use for my main screen at home (also 1920 x 1200). This is a frequently asked question, and Chris has said it would be a major undertaking to upsize the icons, but it surely has to go on the list for the next upgrade.

  • Nexus 7k - Interface Statistics Across VDCs

Is there anyway to get interface statistics from all interfaces regardless of what vdc they are in? Trying to setup solarwinds to monitor them all.
    Thanks,
    Alex

You can, but each VDC need its own interface to SolarWinds. Each VDC acts as a separate switch.

  • Prime Infrastructure no Interface Tx and RX Utlisation Graph on L2VLAN and PROPVIRTUAL Interfaces

    Hello Community,
i'm wondering why don't get any interface statistics on subinterfaces or vlan interfaces on a router. On all other interfaces i see the graph.
    Any Idea?
    thanks in advanced
    Alex

    Hi Graham,
What settings do you have checked when you navigate to here?
Operate > Alarms & Events > Email Notification
Also you can define within your network what the level of alarming should be through navigation to here:
Administration > System Settings > Severity Configuration
It doesn't take much to become overburdened by alarms from Prime, I set only a couple of parameters as critical for switch and router state, and set to receive emails from those at this time.

  • BW Statistics and Technical Content

    HI,
I am working on BI 7.0.
I understand both BW statistics and Technical content are used to monitor the system status to improve performance. But what I dont get is teh exact difference between these two.
BW statistics provides the follwing Dataprovider:
    0BWTC_C02     BW Statistics - OLAP
0BWTC_C03     BW Statistics - OLAP, Detail Navigation
    0BWTC_C04     BW Statistics - Aggregates
    0BWTC_C05     BW Statistics - WHM
    0BWTC_C09     BW Statistics: Condensing InfoCubes
0BWTC_C11     BW Statistics: Deleting Data from InfoCubes
    Whereas Technical content provides following:
    0TCT_C03     Data Manager Statistics (Details)
    0TCT_C22     DTP Statistics
0TCT_C01     Front End and OLAP Statistics (Aggregated)
0TCT_C02     Front End and OLAP Statistics (Details)
    0TCT_C23     Infopackage Statistics
    0TCT_C21     Process Chain Statistics
    Please advice
    Regards
    Pankaj

    Thanks...
but in the following link of 7.0 saphelp, it still shows the BW statistics cube 0BWTC* and so is the confusion whether to use 0BWTC* also aprt from using 0TCT*
