PI 730 - XI Content for SAP BASIS

Dear Support,
When I searched the SAP Marketplace for "PI 730 - XI Content for SAP BASIS", I have found the files which has .SCA extension instead of .tpz or .zip file extension.
Am I looking into a wrong directry if so, could you please help me in pointing to the correct directory?
Otherwise, could you please let me know the way to Import the Design Objects onto PI 730 system?

The 7.30 SAP Basis content is delivered as a *sca file. You need to extract the *tpz file from this and import into the ESR in the normal manner. See the kba #1637955 PI ESR Content for SAP BASIS 7.30 for further details.
P.S. point 6 of the previous post is incorrect - "Under this you can get XI CONTENT PI_BASIS". It is available under XI CONTENT SAP_BASIS (not PI_BASIS)

Hi,
the page you refer to only mentioned that you can import any XI content (form any of the earlier PI releases)
into SAP PI 7.11 (PI 7.1 with EhP1)
so if there is no XI content for 7.11 you can import any other from any of the previous releases

PI / XI content for SAP APPL 6.04?

Hi guys,
I would like to use the Business Partner functionality (create, read etc) in SAP PI 7.1. We currently only have PI content for SAP APPL 6.03.....but the SYNCHRONOUS interfaces I really want are in SAP APPL 6.04.
Here are the interfaces I need to use...

There is only an ABAP / SAR file download from the service marketplace for 6.04.........for 6.03 there is both the ABAP and XI related content download.
Does anyone have any idea when the SAP XI / PI will get content for SAP APPL 6.04?
I know the interfaces are synchronous and that they will be available on the SAP Backend system if I load the SAP APPL 6.04 there. And then they would be available through transaction SOAMANAGER etc......but we are wanting to use XI as the central repository for our interfaces, and then generate ABAP proxies in the SAP backend.
Any help in this regard would be greatly appreciated

Just use Trinidad's, I don't think 11g has an equivalent and Chris suggestion won't really work in this case as visible="false" is the same as rendered="false" for decoding purpose and you want it to be decoded in your case. Another poor man's solution would be

System copy tools for SAP Basis 46C.

Hi All,
I need to do system copy for SAP Basis 46c. I have a query regarding the tools used for system copy. It is written in the SAP Documents and we need to use the latest version of the system copy tools (i.e. R3load,R3check,R3ldctl,,R3szchk,R3trans).
I need to do the Heterogeneouse system copy
Source :- Oracle 9.2.0.8 , AIX 5.3
Target :- Oralce 9.2.0.8 (Or 10.2.0.4 if possible) , Sun Solaris
So my question is
1) Am i suppose to use only the tools (i.e. R3load,R3check,R3ldctl,,R3szchk,R3trans) which are compatible to relase 4.6C (Kernel 46D_EXT, latest path level is 2541) or
2) Can i download and use the Latest version of system copy tools (i.e. Withe release 7.00 for R3load,R3check,R3ldctl,,R3szchk,R3trans) to do the herogeneous system copy of SAP Basis 4.6C ??

You can use it of course but support of it is not "built in" - there's no clicker to check as is in newer versions of sapinst. You will need to modify the R3S file at the "correct place" to make use of it.

As I said before and as is written in the documentation, it can be used but not "by default", you'll make sure you stop at the right place with your migration to configure it manually (or the consultant will do).

I am trying to reply all the bullets in your post one by one.
Some of the agencies (AtoS and some others) I have got in touch with to discuss this certification have suggested doing SAP SD or MM certification, keeping my experience in view. If I do it what is your guess how soon I could find a job with this certification.
for training and certification you can go to any SAP authorized institute , you can find many depends upon which country you are presently staying.
What kind of salary will I be able to attract if I do get a job. Currently I am getting good salary by auto industry standards (around $15K). As per the information I have got the starting salaries in these roles are some times less than half of what I am getting now.
if you are already at $15K (1,50,000 US Dollar if i correctly understand) then you are earning much higer then a SAP consultant having a decade experience in SAP. Better look for management job. If salary is the criteria.
Finally how fast is the growth in this industry? Let us say I do the certification spend some $500 and join a company with salary less than half of my current. After doing this, as per your experience how soon will I be able to reach or exceed the salary I would have been getting otherwise (assume I perform fairly well in my SAP role ;-).

Certification is optional , if you just have user level experience you may not be knowing all what comes within an module, i still recommend training as it give you all back ground about SAP and you can understand most of the master data piece to create a right foundation for a module.

Company has consultants and they have already some topics but they asked me to find myself also .Also consult my university.
For Internship ,there is no specific requirement .I would like to do Internship (6 months) and then later thesis.I was just thinking ,if both topic would be same that would be great otherwise its okay.I have some know-how of SAP BASIS.
What about i do Internship in some topic in SAP BASIS and later Master thesis in SAP HANA?Would this option would be good for my future?

Generating Proxies for SAP Basis Objects?

All,
Is it possible to generate proxies for your interfaces under SAP Basis Component?
1. I checked in SPROXY on my R3 and the SAP Basis Component is not displayed here.What I also noticed is that none of the SWCV's containing Pre Delivered Integration Content is displayed in SPROXY.
Is it necessary that the options , All Objects are Modifiable and Original Objects be selected for Proxies to be generated on the SAP Shipped SWCV's?
2. As a work around ( one which did not work ) I created a Depenedency in the SLD for my SWCV on the SAP BASIS Swcv and I am now able to see the BASIS Objects in the IR under my Custom SWCV .
But even then in SPROXY , (basis Objects )message interfaces are not displayed.
Has anyone tried something of this sort? Is there some setting we need to do to enable proxy generation for SAP Delivered Components?

PS: I am able to see my custom SWCV in SPROXY and trigger proxy calls Successfully.
I can generate a Custom Messge interface using the Message Type of the SAP Basis Component and create the Proxy to this Message interface . But, I just want to know if anyone has had success with the above concepts

I guess I will have to create a message Interface will the Message Type from the BASIS Component and use this Message Interface.
The only issue I am now wondering with this approach would be, what if the Message Type structure changes during some SP upgrade? Due to some new feature being added?

No Objects for SAP BASIS 7.00

when I go to the IR and klick on the SAP Basis 7.00 then there are no entries below.
I have also done following stteps from other threads:
You need to import SAP BASIS Software Component Version into Integration Repository.
You need to download it from service market place.

> SAPBASIS13_0-20000888.ZIP Just save this file on your machine and unzip it.
Now put this in the import directory: \usr\sap\<SID>\SYS\global\xi\repository_server\import\
In IR, TOOLS ---> Import design objects and import it.
But all of the steps do not bring the entries to my SAP BASIS 7.00.
Does somebody know why that is so? When I klick on inport then I do not see any entries in the box..

Login to Integration Directory and create on Communication Channel and take any adapter let say file adapter and if you are able create the
CC then your xi contents are upto date.
In other words, xi content is used to update the xi metadata, so if xi metadata is not present then you won't be able to find any adapter while creating the CC.
If you do not get the success then, based on your SP download it again.
In Search Term Enter "SAP BASIS < version >".
Now click on XI CONTENT SAP_BASIS 7.00 -
> Database independent -
> SAPBASIS< version >.ZIP
Do not dowload any other SP level content.

Predelivered Content for SAP EREC to be imported in PI

Could you explain how can i get the SAP's standard predelivered content of SAP EREC (TPZ file ) to be imported in PI ?
I need to do this inorder to use the SAP's recommended Message Interface / Service Interface .

Hello,
The procedure for this case next:
Go to service.sap.com\swdc ->downloads -> Support Packages and Patches - Entry by Application Group -> SAP Content -> XI Content -> Choose required version of EREC.
After download maybe you should Unzip file (now you get TPZ file) and place them in import directory for ES Repository. Now you have to do in ES Repository next: Tools -> Import design objects.

XI Content for SAP TM

Hi,
we are just preparing for coming projects in SAP Transportation Management.
After the training, I thought that there is an XI content available that can be used to import SD deliveries from an ERP system into TM.
Does anybody know about XI contents for TM? Is it contained in some basic XI contents? Or is there not yet a content available?
Of course we could try to create the interface manually, but I think this might take much time from design to execution ...

XI content is available for integration between ERP and TM. You can integrate SAP TM with SAP ERP using IDocs. The IDocs are converted via XI interfaces to the corresponding Business Objects in SAP TM.
The integration relates to following transmissions -
- Deliveries in ERP to Transportation Request (Shipment Request) in TM
- Shipments in ERP to TM for Tendering purpose
- Freight orders in TM to shipments in ERP for execution purpose
