Picture is going missing after url forwarding

I've posted my front page to my .me account then forwarded the address to my .ca host, nothing new really but when I go to my .ca the front page image is missing.

Anyone think they know the problem?

I suggest you talk to the domain provider and point out your problem. They seem to have done some unusual kind of forwarding which fails to include your sitename LNL in the linked urls. If you do Window > Activity in Safari you will see that major elements of your site are "not found" as a result of this.

Mail goes missing after downloaded from POP server

I have never run into this before. I have on this brand new MacMini (2 weeks old) with one POP email account set-up on Mac Mail 2.1.1 and in one folder the messages are going missing. Anything about 3-4 days old are fine, but the rest give me a message telling me to download them from the server. In the Mail preferences I have it set to remove from the server after one week, but considering this is a POP account it should have been downloaded to the computer once mail is checked from what I understand. I have seen this problem before with IMAP, but not POP. Now in other folders this isn't happening, not the Inbox or Sent just this one folder. I rebuilt the folder and these messages were completely deleted. Then I repaired permissions, however, in the log it didn't say that there was any issues with Mail. Does anyone have any insight or any suggestions? I just don't want this happening again in the future. Thanks.

Iphone purchased music goes missing after sync with iTunes?

I have noticed that when I sync my iphone 4 that any music on it under purchased on iphone all of sudden goes missing. I can find it in my library in my computer but no longer under music puchased on iphone on my iphone. It used to not delete songs. Any ideas how to fix?
Also, this music is no longer showing up as purchased in my itunes account either. It is in library so it isn't truly missing but it is creating a mess for me.

Wifi Adapter Goes Missing After Working

HP Paviliion laptop running Windows 8 from factory recovery (2 times). Problem: WiFi works then adapter goes missing. Device Manager / Network shows only the wired card. Scan for new hardware yields nothing new. Wifi button shows toggle from Airplane Mode Off / Airplane Mode On OK. This is the F12 button (I mentioned this because on a MSI 6200 series laptop the wifi button and another are mislabeled). Could it be the wifi card going bad since I don't see the card in Device Manager? Thanks. Darryl

Custom button goes missing after click the button in Customer Master

Hi All,
I have one query regarding Custom tab button in Custome MAster.I have implemented BAdIs using CUSTOMER_ADD_DATA_CS and CUSTOMER_ADD_DATA to match my requirment.
Query:
While click the custom button(which i have created in Customer Master) , the subscreen is displayed but the Custom Button is missing.Where in Standard Buttons like 'GENERAL DATA' and 'COMPANY CODE DATA' Std buttons in Customer master Etc. buttons going to disable mode while click these button in custome mastar.
Is there any OSS notes to implement OR we required to set up some PF status to match above requirment.
Please let me know.

If I follow you, no. That's the way it works. The buttons are composited with the background so become part of it. I'd rethink the design.
Basically, you don't want the highlights to determine the color of unselected buttons. You'll always have fringes and jaggies. Having a non-transparent color set for the unselected state kind of does what you want, but won't look the best.

Audio goes missing after advanced pulldown removal

Anybody come across this? I can't find anything in the forum about it.
I shot 24pAdvanced on my DVX-100A. Captured everything as 29.97 NTSC DV in 20 min segments. I do a DV Start/Stop Detect to get markers placed, then do an advanced pulldown removal and edit on 23.98 timeline. I've got about 100 hours of footage, and have been going along quite smoothly on about 80 of those hours.
Recently however, some clips mysteriously lose their audio after the pulldown removal! Both audio tracks are still there, but they are flatlined. All except for the first 4 or 5 seconds actually. That much audio is present. Then the waveforms show it just flatline. Recapturing the tape replaces the audio, but then it disappears after the pulldown again!
Any thoughts would be welcome

I am delivering an EDL to do an online in HD for later on blow it up to 35mm. I just don't want to fix problems in the online because it'll take time therefore MONEY. I was thinking on recapturing the master sequence in my machines at advanced pulldown removal, fix any problems and then export the EDL to go to the online.

Has anyone experienced text going missing after using Change All in the Find Font dialogue box?

I manage an artwork production studio and two members of staff have separately reported that when using the Change All command to substitute fonts in InDesign's Find Font dialogue box, some text disappears from their documents. All affected text is originally set in the same font, and most of the conversion is fine but a few instances of text are actually removed (not reflowed). In the latest reported case, only four or five instances of text were 'deleted' across two pages of a 20pp document.
I've found a link that refers to the same issue but it's unresolved (http://www.listsearch.com/InDesign/Thread/index.lasso?20041#last)
I haven't been able to replicate this behaviour but would be interested to know if anyone else has experienced it and if so, under what circumstances it can occur, and what work-rounds or fixes are available.
Applies to InDesign CS3 and CS4, have not tested with CS5 because we haven't upgraded yet.

Joel, I am having the same problem you described. I have read of similar posts on PrintPlanet.com. Someone there thought it was a different text engine or something in CS4 which may be causing the problem.
I don't know what causes this but I believe it can be traced to a previously created file in CS3 is saved as a CS4 document.
The fonts associated with this problem for me are always Gill Sans, Palatino and some form of Helvetica. There may be others but these are the ones we notice the most.
Today I worked on an InDesign CS4 file. When I opened it I was given a missing font warning. I went to Find Font and it was different typefaces of Gill Sans that was missing. When I changed the missing font to Gill Sans Regular entire lines of text disappeared. I closed the document without saving it and reopened it. I did the same thing in replacing fonts. This time no text disappeared. Not reflowed; not white; not hidden—gone.
This is what I have been seeing for the past few months. The disappearing text is random and cannot be duplicated, though fonts may disappear in some other place. You never know where text will just disappear.
The workaround I have found is to export your file to an INX document and reopen it in CS3. You have to replace all missing text before saving it as INX, though. To my knowledge CS3 has never had this happen.
The workaround, though it works for me, is annoying. I'd like to know what to do to resolve this issue. What's the use in having CS4 if you can't trust it completely.
I use a Mac running 10.6.3. I also have running Suitcase Fusion 2.

SATA Hard Drive Goes Missing After Playing Video In iTunes, How? Why?

What in iTunes would make my 500 GB SATA drive just "disappear" from my list of drives under My Computer?
Seemed to happen after I tried playing a video back in iTunes. I thought it was Windows Vista. But, I'm not having any other problems. I don't dare plug in my ipod until I fix this. I just downloaded the lastest version of itunes since it said for Vista, but that doesn't seem to matter.
I have all the latest drivers, but I have a GeForce 8800 video card, that's not the issue is it? What else can I do here to get itunes back on track?

My guess is that you have an Nvidia Nforce SATA controller, and are affected by a known bug in the Nvidia driver. Apple mention it briefly at the bottom of this document. HP have posted what appears to be a standard Microsoft SATA driver here to work around the problem until Nvidia releases an updated driver. Since it appears to be a standard driver, you may be able to install it on a non-HP system too.

Characters going missing after placing content from Word

I am trying to place a chapter from Word to InDesign, recently I noticed in few chapters that characters at the end of a sentence are getting truncated from the actual content and getting added to the last page of the InDesign file.
I have extracted few pages from the InDesign file and marked the sentences on page 2, 3, and 4 where the characters have gone missing and have also marked the location on the last page where these characters have got inserted.
I am using Adobe InDesign CS4.

This particular annoyance used to pop up only very infrequently, but lately it happens more and more (perhaps upgrade related? I'm on 6.0.4 now). Saving the same document as RTF definitely does *not* help (only in the sense that I usually get other random fragments of text at the end).
It's not true it has anything to do with footnotes -- I just saw it in an entirely regular document, no thrills nor frills.
With every new version importing Word documents has detoriated more and more, where older versions happily import the exact same files that the newer version chokes on or simply imports wrong. I've noticed and reported this since, oh, CS2 came out, and -- sadly -- every new version since.
[Edit: It's a bit like that **** annoying line in the quotes that get inserted automatically!]

Client list keeps changing or goes missing after quiting the ARD

I have group list based on different departments. Recently, the list of client would move around. I often have to fix the list but once I click out of the group list or quit ARD, the list of clients randomly changes or removes the clients from the list group.

To stop that, this is what you need to do: If you purchase apps directly on your phone, you MUST File>Transfer Purchases. The itunes content sync is ONE WAY, Computer to Phone. So, buy apps on your phone, File>transfer Purchases, they will automatically be checked to sync back to your phone as well as other apps in your library not on your phone. So, after you transfer, un-check what you don't want on your phone & then hit apply. From that point on everything will remain the way you have your apps arranged.

Will Apple Finally Fix Safari Close X Going Missing Issue?

As many are aware, Safari Tabs suffer from the X close button going missing after extensive use of the browser. I'm familiar with the two main ways to get it back ie: Force Restart, or Reset Safari. However, the issue always resurfaces at some point. Quite frankly, it makes using Safari quite annoying to say the least.
Anyone aware if Apple will in fact have a fix for this at any point in the future? It seems to be an issue that a wide number of people have suffered from.

No it's not. It's suddenly missing on my iPad as well. In fact, it is just many of the disastrous effects of ios 8. I now have a machine- iPad 2- that feels like my lousy Asus computer running Windows 8-- everything is sluggish, odd things like sounds which used to occur no longer occur- like when plugging in power, notes load like a slug, email loads even more slowly, problems running Youtube, etc. In my opinion the whole rollout of this new system is a disaster. I can't find one new thing I like about it, and it has made me seriously reconsider whether to ever buy Apple again. All the hyperbola...for this??? Absurd. they need to get their shop in order before releasing garbage onto the market. Less money spent glorifying the technology, more time spent doing what Steve Jobs did- make it right, make it bloody simple and elegant, and get it right the first time.

I, on the other hand, had no brightness issues on the 4S after upgrading to iOS 6, and no change in (good) battery life. If could be something else, an app or background process that is less efficient with iOS 6? Could be anything.

If it is good in the Firefox SafeMode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one. <br />

Did you reset your phone like this: Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart.
If that didn't help I suggest having a technician examine your phone. Make an appointment at an Apple Store to have your device examined by a technician. Or contact Apple Support.
