PixelsPerPx does not play nice with customizing the Toolbar.

I have a MacBook Pro and the screen has a very high number of pixels per cm^2. The screen is great, but the high pixel density often makes website text very small and hard to read.
So, I used about:config to edit <layout.css.devPixelsPerPx>. Setting it to 1.1 or 1.2 "dumbs down" the resolution, but it makes things readable again. This is a great option - please consider adding it to Preferences or otherwise making it easy to use.
Here is the problem: when I try to customize my toolbar (View > Toolbars > Customize), Firefox crashes.
If I reset <layout.css.devPixelsPerPx> to 1.0, then I can customize my toolbar with no crashing. Apparently the PixelsPerPx option seriously conflicts with View > Toolbars > Customize.

ok, so YOU have to avoid any 'eye candy' that is beyond the abilities of THEIR systems/browsers..

I'm actually stumbling into the same discussion with my 'clients' = other parents from my son's soccer team, I switched from Rapidweaver Design to iWeb + fancy flash animation/navigation (old/RW vs. new/iWeb+BannerZest) .. some friends with older Windows system get an alert 'new flash required' for the navigation bar on the sub-pages...

We love apple email, but it does not play wall with other venders when you want to use your own domain (lags, disconnections, etc.)? What vendor should we use to make it push and work well? We want to stay with Apple Mail.

Microsoft Exchange is the best business solution, Office 365 will give a hosted version that works well, as you noted it is not the cheapest. You should also look at Zimbra, an excellent service.

Can I get an older release of Firefox? 36.0 does not play well with Windows 7.

Firefox 36.0.4 does not play well with Windows 7. If it opens at all, it freezes within a minute so the screen goes pale and I get the classic spinning circle of death. Then the header says (not responding).
Ideally I would like to drop back to version 32 or 33, but 34 and 35 had fewer problems.

Firefox 5 does not play well with Outlook Express

This bug has been locking up my computer since FF4. When I drag an attachment from Outlook Express email to the XP desktop with Firefox 5 (or 4) open, my computer freezes. It happens on multiple computers and does not happen with FF3, IE8, or Chrome. Plus it even just locked up after reboot when FF attempted to restore the previous session.

Toshiba TV8245 - MediaPlayer does not play long movie to the end

I want this take to a Presentation
I create a ddd.wmv File. This file is on a DLNA Storage.
I see this Movie an I can Play this with MediaPlayer
But in the End the Movie Stops and NOT Playing from the Beginning.
How I can Fix this with the TV
1. I create a very Long Movie File
2. I copy more File in the same Directory
The Problem is very Long Movie the File size is so BIG
More the one File the Loding to the next decoding is 1 Minute
someone has an idea how I can Fix this

Shuffle does not play all songs in the library

I've uploaded about 10 new songs, and they show in the library but they are not playing. Do I need to re-set the Shuffle?

I have the same problem with my iPhone 3GS, without any doubt the shuffle mode is not playing all songs. I have 600 songs, and I only use the shuffle mode. Of these 600 songs:
- 50 have never been played in 6 months (play counter: 0)
- 256 have been played less than 3 times
- 129 have been played less than 7 times.
- Remaining songs, except from the top 4, have been played from 8 to 79 times.
The first four have been played respectively: 511, 319, 223, and 127 times. There obviously is a bias :\. I've mostly never heard more than half of my playlist (and again: I only use shuffle mode).
If you find a solution, please let me know

TS3899 Yahoo Mail is not "playing nice" with my iPhone 4S.

I have tried everything including deleting my account and re-adding it. Since yesterday, I am unable to send or receive messages from my yahoo account only when on the iPhone. When I deleted the account it I received a message stating that I could "save" the account but would not be able to send/recieve from it. What is going on with Yahoo!:iPhone?????????? I REALLY need this working!

Yahoo has hundreds of mail servers. Trust me on this. The problem is Yahoo. Just because you can acces it from a web browser or in a client on your PC does not mean that you're hitting the same server you do with the phone.
Your phone doesn't care what your password is. If it's being rejected, it's being rejected by the server you happen to be communicating with.
All you can do is try removing and re-adding the account and waiting until it clears up.
While you wait, set up a free gmail or iCloud e-mail account.

3D games (Minecraft) not playing nice with Nouveau or Nvidia-304xx

New to minecraft and 3d gaming on linux, got it up and running. With the nvidia-304xx driver, I can play a few minutes then it spikes the processor and I only get 0-3 fps (before it spikes I get 60-70). I tried various in game settings, from full graphics to minimal and nearly every thing in between. Read the wiki and it stated there were some issues with the driver and to update the LWJGL or just switch to nouveau. Updated the game libraries and had the same effect, switched to nouveau and it would crash after world selection. I found an old forum were they launched the game as sudo, thought I would give it a whirl, and it does launch. I am in the video and games group, so I don't know why there would be a permissions issue. Minecraft is the only game I play on this computer and would prefer to have nouveau working. Any help would be appreciated

System is a corei7 i920 with 6GB ram (desktop). Graphics card is the oldest thing in there but don't really play many games. Runs torchlight and psychonauts on full graphics with no issue. I did try updating to 1.5 prerelease since my original post to see if that would help (didn't). I noticed that the nvidia-304xx has an updated version in testing repo that I am going to try once I get a chance. It does seem that the higher I turn the graphics the faster it hits, so my current settings will give me about 10-15mins before dropping to 0-3 fps, full graphics gives me 30sec-2min, and every thing off gives me about 30min (but at that point all aesthetics are lost and isn't as fun to play)

Safari not playing nice with extensions, etc. since doing a "Reset Safari"

So Safari's been giving me beachball a lot — dozens of times a day — sometimes just a few seconds, sometimes a minute or more, even on simple tasks like closing a tab, or scrolling (especially on a page with several images).
I finally decided to try Reset Safari to see if I could kick it back into shape. While the performance has improved slightly, now I'm having other problems:
- To open Preferences with a key command, I have to hit CMD+[comma] twice. The Safari menu flashes the first time, but nothing happens.
- During some sessions — usually when Safari takes longer than it should (30+ seconds) to launch — several preferences I've added are missing: Safari Cookies, Safari AdBlock, and SafariSource.
- Even when those added prefs do appear, I cannot reach Safari Cookies at first. I click on it, and it's highlighted in the preferences toolbar, but the pane doesn't change. I have to click on another extension, then click back to Safari Cookies to see the actual pane.
- When I can reach the Safari Cookies pane, it doesn't work. Resetting Safari killed my Favorite Cookies list (arrrggghh!), but now no cookies are shown at all, ever, in Safari Cookies. (I uninstalled and reinstalled, and that didn't help. In fact, it made it worse, as now Safari Cookies says it's version number is 0.0.0.0 instead of 1.6.4).
- I already chucked com.apple.Safari.plist. No dice.
I'm stumped. Looking for help.

several preferences I've added are missing: Safari Cookies, Safari AdBlock, and SafariSource.
Many Safari users have reported problems using Safari Adblock. In fact, it's been the cause of Safari crashes. You can view the results of a forum search here.

To remove that plugin go to /Library/InputManagers. Move the Adblock plugin to the Trash.
Restart your Mac and try Safari.
Get GlimmerBlocker. Compatible with Snow Leopard and Safari 5 and it's free.

If you still have problems with Safari after removing AdBlock, then uninstall SafariSource. That could be another source of the "beach balls"...

Win 7 pro 64 bit does not work nice with tv tuners

my win 7 pro 64 bit will not work with three recommened tv tuners, though not specific to 64 bit . I know one works great withmy old 32 bit xp system. all three different recommended tuners crashed my system three times amd informed me the flash player that comes in the software is not compatable with my system. also flash player stand along in my system will not work right all the time. worked so well in my old system? any thoughts on this dilemma. really do not want to return my new diamond tv wonder hd 750 card. otherwise this system blazes very appy with it, thanks.
