Pixi Plus-Can't Delete PDF or Doc View Items

I have a long list of items on my PDF list that I can't delete. I also have a few items on my Doc View which won't delete. I've tried going the USB route, but nothing shows up for the PDF and I can't find a place for the Doc View. I've also tried resetting my phone multiple times, both before and after using the USB. Please help, wasting precious memory space!

Hello!
There is no specific directory on the USB drive PDF view and Doc view will look for these files. When looking at these files throught the app, are the sizes 0? These files can be put anywhere in the USB drive side of the device and the apps would find them. These apps do not have file management so cannot delete, must do this through USB drive mode on the device. Plug the device into you computer and do a search on the Palm Pixi driver for .PDF and .doc files. Once found, take note of the filepatch they reside in for future reference.

Can not open .pdf or .doc files in mail

Every time I receive an email with a pdf or .doc file attached I can never open it as I get a message telling me that the file was not recognised or that the file is invalid. Even if I select to open using Adobe for the pdf I get the same.
Any help gratefully received. I've always had this problem and get round it by viewing these emails online instead. But it's not as convenient of course.

I had the same problem, getting the same error message etc. I solved the problem by going to Google Chrome and using that to download the file ( a pdf brochure in my case). That worked OK. Hope this helps.

Fix for android "can't delete PDF files"

4/2013 fix for Android Adobe reader complaint: "can't find delete area of adobe". Answer: you have wrong version installed. Fix: Go to "applications manage all" and the only option for your reader, on your android, is to unistall latest updates. After you unistall latest updates, you'll now have the option to download new updates and so now do that! You now should have downloaded and installed at least the new update 10.5.2 which now you still have all your old PDF's on your phone, and also the the new version, which looks just like all those youtube videos on how to delete files from your documents folder. Hope this helps all those like myself who couldn't delete PDF files and only had the option to "view" or "help".

I've got a 0 byte, errorous pdf file, which I can't delete. Neither in normal nor in safe mode.
it just says pdf is no longer on the disk.
I'm using Win vista. Any idea? Suggestions?

PDF Error/Doc View

When I try to open a document on my PDF view i get an error that says:
"PDF View has encountered an error. We apologize for thie inconvenience.
Error Message:
Render document failed"
Why is it doing this and how can I fix it?
Also, on the doc view i have a similar error message when trying to open up a power point. I previously had a palm centro and was able to make new documents on it with word, excel, and powerpoint. Is this not capable on a palm pre plus?

read this an weep. it is from Palm: they know about the problem, but have refused to move in a timely fashion to fix it. it does raise some interesting questions about the delay of release of 1.4.5 in the USA? what were they testing so long? As it did not result in a better product being released, just a delay. I hope that hp solves their palm issues quickly, as they will not only lose the current base of customers, but any credibility. these types of errors are not minor inconveniences, but catastrophes.

How to delete .pdf file after viewing in SAP

Hi,
I've a program to show a pdf file within a SAP window using the open document method form the class cl_gui_pdfviewer. Now I want to delete the pdf file once I choose the back button or exit the program. How can I do that.
In the PAI for the screen showing the pdf file, I have a case statement to perform the following
When 'EXIT'
     call method my_pdf_viewer->close_document.
        .....    <--- some coding to try deleting the pdf file
     leave program.
endcase.
It seems that the pdf file is still in use by the program and cannot be deleted before leaving the program. Please help.

I have had this issue and have finally resolved it. Here's how:
you need to destroy your custom container and html viewer control AND flush the front end cache. This releases the lock on the file and lets you then delete it.
Here's an example code:
When 'EXIT'
call method my_pdf_viewer->close_document.
CALL METHOD my_pdf_viewer->FREE
    EXCEPTIONS
      CNTL_ERROR        = 1
      CNTL_SYSTEM_ERROR = 2
      others            = 3

The other issue brought up is probably a permission issue -- trying to read the file from the presentation server versus a mapped drive that the SAP backend can access. I read pdf files from a shared drive that the SAP backend can read/write to and it picks it up and displays just fine.

Can't open PDFs in any viewer but Quicklook works

All of a sudden I can't open PDFs in Acrobat, Preview or PDF Pen. They display fine in Quicklook, though. I can't recall anything that changed that would cause this. Ideas?

Highlight your file>File>Get Info>
In the Get Info window, scroll down to "Open with:"
Unselect the "Change All..." button if you want to "Use this application to open all documents like this.”

Can not delete service entry sheet having Items with zero quantity

Dear Experts ,
I am having one service entry sheet with many line items out of which some line items are having quantity zero. Now when trying to delete the service entry sheet , system is asking to fill the quantity . since there are already some other service entry sheets through which full quantity equal to Purchase order quantity for that service line item has been already entered , the system is giving message "quantity exceeds" if even quantity 0.01 is entered for namesake to allow delete of entire SES.
The user had saved this service entry sheet & left it as it without acceptance for long time , it is required to be deleted as whole.
Please advise how it can be deleted as system is not allowing it to delete & asks quantity to be filled NOW where quantity had been entered zero while previously saving .

The SES has all line items with WBS elements , the idea to delete the SES is to free-up the budget which is commited due to creation of this SES.
I have tried deleting individual line items in SES ,but system gives error "enter quantity" where line item quantity is zero. there are few such line items with quantity zero out of total 26 line items in the SES.
I want to know whether Blocking of SES at header level will free-up the budget as it is the basis purpose for deleting SES , which i think may not serve the purpose.

Can I delete all of my CS6 items, if I only use CC products?

I have a few folders left from CS6, can I delete all of those if I do not use CS6 anymore, but do use Creative Cloud? (Adobe Premiere CC)

Lightroom annoyance - can't delete photos in collection view?

If I'm viewing a collection (which I am most of the time, because I don't want to be viewing "all photos" which is a mess), I'm unable to actually trash a photo. The delete key simply removes it from the collection. There's no way to actually delete a photo without viewing "all photos" then removing from there.
Isn't there some easier way to do this?

I guess it's a matter of preference. :) I leave the camera's original filenames as they are, I don't have time to rename them. I also don't care too much where the photos are.. I know all of them are inside my "Raw Photos" folder, and then each set of photos exist in folders organized by date. Other than that, doesn't matter to me where they are, I use Lightroom to organize them.
I'm glad someone told me how to delete a photo while in a collection, because that was driving me nuts!

How can I delete pdf's from iTunes?

I have a few pdf's in itunes that I don't need anymore. I have unchecked them so that they don't synce to my ipad or iphone, but i'm having lots of trouble deleting them entirely from itunes. When i open itunes I go to Devices and select which ever like ipad or iphone...then i go to Books. Once there at Books, there is a section with all my books and pdf's. I have tried everything but can't seem to figure out how to clear all the PDF clutter?

I've had the same problem as first posted. Tried the suggested solutions and none of them worked. I finally have found somethng that does work.
In iTunes v.11.0.1.12, I needed to get to the following screen before DELETE would work:
In the uppper LEFT corner select Books.
Then highlight/select the PDF file you wish to delete, and right click to get the menu to pop up.
Now, select DELETE from the menu.

I have had a two hour session with a lady in India (Case # 186222233). She took control of my computer and changed many things, looking for the problem. No luck! When I click on Sign In, it either gives me a pop-up telling me to buy exportPDF or a pop-up for signing in. If I sign in, it gives me the pop-up to buy exportPDF! Thonly way that it works is by signing in through the "Welcome to exportPDF" email.

I cleared out all of the extraneous garbage by running “Registry Mechanic and tried to convert a couple of files to .doc.
On the first attempt, a “Sign In” pop-up appeared, without my email address. I filled in email address and password. When I clicked on”Convert”, I got the pop-up to purchase “ConvertPDF”. The second attempt produced a sign in pop-up with my email address. Same result.
On the next attempt, I tried converting through “Adobe Reader”. Same results. I tried while designating Internet Explorer my default browser and by making Google Chrome my default browser. Same results. At least, I now get a sign in pop-up before I get the “Buy” pop-up.
The only way I can sign in and convert a file is by utilizing the “Welcome to Adobe exportPDF” email. The reason that I purchased exportPDF was that I found that I could not copy or print a PDF form file, which I recently received. I could save it, but, even then, I could not copy or print it! I don’t get that many PDF files, so I am not sure during which version of Adobe Reader this problem started. The dark thought occurred to me that Adobe Reader might have been changed so that PDF files could no longer be copied or printed, unless exportPDF was purchased! (Now that I am 84, I have become a bit cynical!) If anyone ever figures out a cure for this problem, please let me know. In the meantime, I’ll use the email route for conversions.
