Pixma Pro 100 : Unable to print 13x19" from Apple Macbook Pro

I've got the latest drivers and firmware.
Primarily attempting to print from Apple Aperture; A3 and A3 borderless work fine, but neither use the available space on my 13x19" paper.
Any custom settings for 13x19" result in either A) 3x5 print on 13x19 paper, or B) out of paper alert (1006?).
I also tried printing from adobe photoshop elements 6; there was a "super B" paper size here, but again the prints either printed borderless 13x19" but with poor random cropping, or I got the no paper error, depending on settings. Same results when printing from Apple Preview.
So far the largest print size I've gotten successfully is 11.6x16.6" using A3 borderless.
How can I get a 13x19" print or largest size? Thanks

The fix for mine was to go into system preferences, printers & scanners, then remove all references to the Canon printer. This also removed the apple drivers.
Then, download all drivers from Canon's site to your desktop.
Then in the printers & faxes pane, click plus, and select the printer from there- you may need to select the drivers on your desktop. Somehow this forced install of the canon drivers over the apple drivers, which seem to get priority otherwise.
After doing this, the A3+ paper size appeared in my apps as an option for the Pixma pro 100, and I had the utilities tab appear for this printer in the control panel.
I called Canon tech support to figure this out, they were quite helpful.

  • I am unable to copy files from my macbook pro to my external hard disk.

I am unable to copy files from my macbook pro to my external hard disk. I tried to copy a movie 800mb in size to my EDD and  it shows the loading box and it says zero kb loaded out of 800mb and sometimes it loads a a few kb of the file, then after a while it ejects my hard disk and gives a message saying you should have ejected it properly. and it sometimes gives this message
"The Finder can’t complete the operation because some data in “....” can’t be read or written.
    (Error code -36)".
This happens with a range of files if they are more than a few mb in size, so I am pretty sure its not the file problem. It also occurs sometimes when i try to copy from my EDD to my mac.
I have tried everything. I formatted my EDD to MS-DOS (FAT) format because i need to use it with mac and windows. I tried resetting The SMC and the PRAM and NVRAM. I tried verify and disk repair on disk utility. But the same thing happens over again and it is really frustrating. The problem doesnt happen with my PC.
My EDD is an  Apollo 320GB hard drive from Imation.
Also are there any particular EDD brands that may not have this issue with MACs and can be used on mac and PC?
    Thanks in advance!

    Hey guys,
So this is follow up from my debarkle with the EDD. I found out my problem with copying files from Mac to EDD and vice versa was a result of a not so good EDD ( i had an apollo hard drive from imation) that was not very compatible with macs. So i did my research and found out that the best hard drives were Western Digital and Seagate. I bought the newest western digital EDD 1TB and formated it to FAT32 and guess what...no problems so far. The only problem is that FAT32 format doesn't copy files larger than about 4 gigs so i couldnt copy a movie from my brothers computer onto my EDD that was 1080p. You could probably resolve that by partitioning a small part of your hard drive in ExFAT? but yeah, hopefully that helped guys.

  • I am trying to set up using my printer wirelessly through airport.  I have a macbook and my husband can print wirelessly from his Macbook Pro but I can't.  What do I have to do to set mine up?  The printer is an Epson R2400

I am trying to set up using my printer wirelessly through airport.  I have a macbook and my husband can print wirelessly from his Macbook Pro but I can't.  What do I have to do to set mine up?  The printer is an Epson R2400

Is there a cd that came with the printer?
If so, put in the cd and that will help you set it up.
If not, I think macs come with a program that helps you set up printers.
Also make sure that the printer is connected to the same network.
Make sure the printer is on.

  • I have a HP Laserjet P1102w printer hooked up to the USB port of my Airport Extreme. I'm able to print to the printer wirelessly from my MacBook Pro. My iPad (2nd gen) can't find the printer. What do I need to do?

My iPad is on the same network as the Airport Extreme. The HP printer is on the list of Airprint printers but I'm not using it as a wireless printer, per se, as it's hooked up to the USB port on the Airport Extreme.
I installed the HP ePrint app on my iPad. Unfortunately, the app could not find the printer either.
As mentioned earlier, I'm able to print wirelessly to the HP printer via my MacBook Pro.

    ApplePearApple wrote:
Since I'm able to print to the HP printer from my MacBook Pro using this configuration, shouldn't I be able to print to the printer from my iPad, especially when all of the devices are on/using the same network?
Not necessarily. AirPrint uses a protocol separate from the communication protocol used for the Extreme's USB port. The HP printer may disable AirPrint when its USB port connected to a valid device, which is my reason for recommending you use it wirelessly.
    From AirPrint Basics:
AirPrint printers connected using Bluetooth or shared through a USB port of a Mac, PC, AirPort Base Station, or Time Capsule are not supported.
AirPrint printers connected by Ethernet are supported in OS X.
You may get more competent assistance from HP. See this HP support forum topic: iPhone & iPad can't Airprint to p1102w LaserJet
HP's Mac support has always been miserable though. I have been much happier since I abandoned HP and started buying Brother printers. They just work.

  • Deskjet 5440 stopped printing wirelessly from my MacBook Pro after upgrading to OS 10.8

My home printer is connected by cable to a desktop Mac (Power Mac G5).  I have always printed wirelessly to it from my MacBook Pro laptop through our home wireless network.  However, just recently I upgraded the operating system on my laptop to 10.8.2.  At the same time, I upgraded the HP driver software (from HP) that is supposed to allow the 5440 to work with the new OS.  Since then, I can print from my laptop if it is connected by cable to the printer, but not wirelessly.  When I attempt to print wirelessly, get a message that says the printer is not connected.

So you are using Printer Sharing on the PowerMac?  If so, on the PowerMac, go to System Preferences > Print & Fax and delete the printer with the '-' sign at the bottom of the printer list.  Re-add it with the '+' sign.
Make sure that Printer Sharing is checked and that in System Preferences > Sharing that Printer Sharing is also checked there.
Now, on the MacBook Pro, go to System Preferences > Print & Scan and click the '+' sign to add the printer.
Say thanks by clicking "Kudos" "thumbs up" in the post that helped you.

  • Can't print wirelessly from my MacBook Pro to HP Officejet Pro L7580 anymore?

I really need some help to get my MacBook Pro to print wirelessly to my HP Officejet Pro L7580! I am running
Mac OS X Lion 10.7 (11A494a) on my computer. The only way I can print is wired by usb. As of about a week ago, the Bonjour quit working, although, it is still listed as a printing option. However, it says it's offline and not connected!

    Hello,
Thanks for the post.  with this one, you do have the option of printing through HP's ePrint Home and Biz.  I've included a couple of links below with some excellent information regarding ePrint and how to get started.  Good Luck!

  • How to print photos from the MacBook Pro on the HP4580 printer

I cannot seem to print photos in iPhotos on my MacBook Pro on my HP4580 all-in-one printer?

Make sure you've cropped your photo in iPhoto to the same size as the paper size selected if you want a borderless print and have selected the same print size.
Have you searched the HP website for drivers for the HP4580 printer or installed the latest HP printer drivers offered by Apple? HP Printer Drivers v. 2.13 for OS X

  • Constant hard freezes and no answers from Apple (Macbook Pro mid-2012)

Hi.. I'm new here and posting this in desperation. I've been to the Genius Bar 3 times, and been on the phone with Applecare support twice now to try and troubleshoot the hard freezes happening to my computer. In the store, on the 1st occassion they ran some tests, the 2nd time my fan had stopped working so they replaced it. The third time they ran hardware testing overnight (which passed) and ran software testing and told me I had third party software called 'Gatekeeper' that might be causing the problem which they said they removed and reinstalled the OS X. I looked up Gatekeeper only to find out its part of the OS X which I found really confusing. None of this has stopped the crashes (hard freezes that require manually shutting down) and which happen intermittently (3-4 times a day).
I'm wondering if the next step now is to format my hard drive and do a clean install? I have a case number open with Apple customer support now, but they basically say I need to bring it back in for more testing...which is quite difficult considering I'm pressed for time and writing term papers at the moment and basically need my computer (and yes I have all my important files backed up).
Here are my last two kernel logs. Any help is much appreciated!

I did not mean to suggest that memory replacement is THE solution. But if you want more memory anyway, replacing the memory would fix it if this were a memory probelm.
Memory problems are hard-to-find. It may take a week of overnight testing and still come up empty.
One old technique I have used when stuck is to swap the two memory modules with each other. This sometimes changes the symptoms enough to catch the problem. Sometimes not.

  • Printing from a Macbook pro using ePrint.

Would like to print to an HP printer (ePrint) from my Macbook Pro.  I followed the instructions to download the software, started installation and received a message telling me to close the HP LaserJet Professional Utility.  Unfortunately, I cannot close this utility and now cannot stop the install.  HELP!

    Hi @vikimac
Welcome to the HP Support Forums.  I understand that you have encountered an error when trying to install a HP LaserJet printer driver onto your MacBook.
To better assist you, would you please provide some additional information?
What model and product number of HP LaserJet do you have?  How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number?
How is the printer currently connected (USB cable, ethernet, or wireless)? Please note that not all HP printers support all methods of connectivity.
What version of Mac OS X are you using? Mac OS X: How Do I Find Which Mac OS X Version Is on My Computer?
In the meantime please try Force Quitting the installation and then please restart your MacBook.  That should allow you continue using your MacBook while we figure out what is occurring with the installation.

  • How do you setup a canon mp620 to print from a Macbook Pro?

How can i print from my MacBook Pro with a canon mp620 printer? I have the printer setup with a PC via USB and want to add the MacBook as a new computer and print wirelessly. I have tried the installation cd and updated drivers from canon website but it still wont work.

I have managed to get my working. Firstly, I googled the CUPS drivers for the printer and then downloaded those from canons website. I then went to print and scan in system preferences and noticed that the printer had appeared there. I believe it was those drivers that made the difference but i was fiddling for hours before that so i cant be 100% sure how i got it to work.

  • Hi I cant print from my macbook pro to my brother mfc j265w anymore. its saying its offline. Can anyone help?

Hi can anyone help me? I am having trouble printing from my macbook pro to my brother printer. It worked fine yesterday but now its dissapeared from my options to print.

I have tried plugging in an eternet (blue) cable from the printer to the wireless router, but i dont know how to make my macbook find the wireless printer!
If your printer is like my Canon printer, you'll have to do as Bob suggests - use the Setup on the LCD panel of your printer to set up wifi. Pretty easy with my Canon PIXMA MG8220...

  • I am unable to open Photo on my MacBook Pro after installing ilife 11 from a disc.  The message I get says "you can't open the application iPhoto because it may be damaged or incomplete.  What can I do?!

I am unable to open iPhoto on my Macbook Pro (OSX 10.9.3)  after installing ilife 11 from a disc.  The message I get is "you can't open the application iPhoto because it may be damaged or incomplete.  What can I do?!  Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Reinstall it.This time delete the receipts first.
    To re-install iPhoto
    1. Put the iPhoto.app in the trash (Drag it from your Applications Folder to the trash)
    2. Download it from the App Store to reinstall It's on your Purchases List* there.
For older versions that have been installed from Disk you'll need these additional steps:
2a: On 10.5:  Go to HD/Library/Receipts and remove any pkg file there with iPhoto in the name.
2b: On 10.6: Those receipts may be found as follows:  In the Finder use the Go menu and select Go To Folder. In the resulting window type
    /var/db/receipts/
    2c: on 10.7 or later they're at
    /private/var/db/receipts
A Finder Window will open at that location and you can remove the iPhoto pkg files.
    3. Re-install.
If you purchased an iLife Disk, then iPhoto is on it.
If iPhoto was installed on your Mac when you go it then it’s on the System Restore disks that came with your Mac. Insert the first one and opt to ‘Install Bundled Applications Only.
*Sometimes iPhoto is not visible on the Purchases List. it may be hidden. See this article for details on how to unhide it.

One question often asked: Will I lose my Photos if I reinstall?
iPhoto the application and the iPhoto Library are two different parts of the iPhoto programme. So, reinstalling the app should not affect the Library. BUT you should always have a back up before doing this kind of work. Always.
    Important:
As you're on 10.9.3 you'll need to update iPhoto to v9.5 before opening it. Use Software update.

You will need to install an App like Print Central on the iPad to try to print to the printer. It will allow you to print to most printers. Check with their support folks if you need more info.
