Placing problem in In Design cs 5

I am having a bizarre problem placing text from Word 2003 to in design cs5. The autoflowed text only shows up on the odd (right-hand) pages and the left-hand pages are blank. Any ideas about what the problem could be?

Are there master text frames? Sounds like there are and either there's only one on the right page, or they're not properly threaded.

Hi Vishal,
1) Try to remove the addin and then add again.(Before doing this close all the excel process from the task Manager)
2) Check weather essexcln.xll and essxleqd.xla are corrupted.

Problems in Fundamental Design of V3 Process.

In this forum some one discussed on V1 V2 AND V3, but I have some questions.
In There Discussion, They mentioned that there is some Problems in Fundamental Design of V3 Process.
Like
1.     If there are multiple app servers in Different time zone, then there might be some inconsistency in their system time which can cause incorrect serialization.
2.     V3 Job sequences the updates on timestamp, and then processes the update records from update table (to send it to delta queue), but it does so for one language at a time (update record also has user logon language stored).                          This causes a potential issue if multiple logon languages are used by users. Serialization may not happen correctly in such a case. Take a case where the first update (based on earliest timestamp) to be processed is in language EN (for same PO item). V3 job is then going to process all the update records of language EN in chronological sequence before going to next language records. If another language update (for same PO item) happened in between two EN language updates, this is going to be processed later after all EN updates are processed and thus become out of sequence.
3.     Multiple app servers or updates to same records in same second, then 'serialization' may not Work. Because timestamp has granularity upto second level only.
By seeing this I am afire to use V3, because we deal with Multiple app servers.

CONTEXT
I’ve been working my project with Jdev11.1.1.1, when I migrate to JDev 11.1.1.2. I realized that my project didn’t compile successfully as before besides I couldn’t see the design view in a WYSIWYG mode on my JSF pages.
I had installed (initially) in C:\oracle\Middleware Jdev 11.1.1.1 with WLS 10.3 (default in Installer)
A couple days ago I realized about the new Jdev release JDev 11.1.1.2 and I decided to migrate because of the IDE improvements such as Bugs Solutions, Maven support, code templates, etc).
The new version seemed to be non-compatible with WLS 10.3 because I couldn’t mount it in the same middleware so I installed the new one in C:\oracle\Middleware11g2, JDev 11.1.1.2 with WLS 10.3.1 (default in Installer).
EXAMPLE
I have created a new sample Project named JDev112App, it only has 1 java class, 1 ADF template and 1 JSPx to show the errors and differences between releases of the IDE… However, I also have added the screenshots of the Project in each IDE, also I have included a screenshot of my real project (Business App).
NOTE. Business APP project is under subversion SVN and the migration was done successfully when JDEv 11.1.1.2 opened it (it migrated automatically).
What should I do?? .. thanks

I think that the problem could be preferences/settings migration from Jdev 11.1.1.1.0 to JDev 11.1.1.2.0, because I migrated not only the application but also the JDev preferences ( "Documents&Settings...Jdeveloper..." ).
I have installed in a new machine without previous version of Jdev the new release JDev 11.1.1.2.0 and when I deploy my test application with errors ( showed in this post ), it works fine and also the design view is correct.
I am not SURE but I think the bug or problem could be also the preference/settings migration between JdeveloperS.
Can anybody tell me the real reason?? How can I fix it ... I don’t want to import each of my settings manually in JDev 11.1.1.2.0 ( I mean templates, javadocs settings, connections, repositories, etc).

Problem with Oracle Designer 10

Hi,
I have a problem with Oracle Designer 10 version 9.0.4.7 installed in Windows 2000 platform.
I don't know if the origin of the problem is at the server side or client side. I try to launch the repository reports but it doesn't work. The screen never appear. I have to finish the client process but the oracle session remmains:

Failed to load this workflow. To correct this problem, restart Sharepoint Designer

I installed Sharepoint Server 2013 SP1, Workflow Manager 1.0 Refresh,
Service Bus 1.1, Sharepoint Designer 2013 SP1 (15.0.4569.1503).
Than I install sandbox solution which contain workflow 2013. This workflow I can open in SPD2013 SP1. But
after than I publish this workflow it can't open more. Appearing error: "Failed to load this workflow. To correct this problem, restart Sharepoint Designer". After restart SPD error appers again. Clearing SPD cache not help me
It seems me a bug of SPD2013 SP1?!

Problem with CSS Designer in the Panels

Hello,
I have just joined Creative Cloud, I have downloaded the newest apps. In Dreamwever I cannot see the CSS Designer in the panels. After a few ours of looking for solution for this problem (all throw Internet inclusive this Forum), I have to ask you dear helpers to help me.
So, where I can find CSS Designer in the Panels? It is not on the right side, it is nowhere.

Aggregation problem in Qery design

Hi folks,
I have the following situation:
- Characteristics as line items, shown as a hierarchie.
- KFs and Formulars in columns
I want the formulars to be calculated on the basis of a combination of two of the characteristics (the bottom two in the lines hierarchy) and then aggregated.
Exception aggregation allows me to choose "total" based on one characteristic, but not a combination of two.
One solution would be, of course, to create a new characteristic in the cube that is a combination of the two existing characteristics in question and then use this for exception aggregation. This would be a bit complicated though, as the two characteristics are in fact navigational attributes of characteristics that appear in the data source and the cube.
Therefore, I'd prefer a solution that is in the scope of query designer rather than cube design.
Any ideas?
PS: The formulars show correct values on the level of the bottom most characteristic in the lines hierarchy if I choose that characteristic for exception aggregation. The results are not correct one level up from there as I can not get the system to sum the results up along the hierarchy. Instead, they are calculated for the aggregated values of the KFs used in the formular.
Apparently the "show lines as hierarchy" function really only affects display of the lines, not calculations.

I understood your problem. Solution is easy:
Make formula 1, exception aggregation as total , ref char as char 1
Then make another formula 2 on formula 1, exception aggregation as total , ref char as char 2.
And in the report show formula 2 and hide formula 1.

Problem in loading Designer Window

Hello Everyone. I would to compliment myself, it's my first time here on this forum.
So... I'm having a problem in Visual Studio.Net 2013 and I don't know how to fix it.
It appears when I load the "designer" mode in Visual Basic or C# projects.
I'm stuck here, it's the first time this problem appearing to me.
I can't post my printscreen yet in the forum because of verification of my account, but here are the errors...
1º- The file "c:\... Menu.cs" does not support code parsing or generation because it is not contained within a project that supports code.
2º- Load of property 'RootNamespace' failed.
3º- Load of property'AssemblyName' failed.
4º- Load of property 'DelaySign' failed.
5º- load of property'FileAlignment' failed.
6º- Load of property 'DebugSymbols' failed.
7º- Load of property 'Optimize' failed.
8º- Load of property 'OutputPath' failed.
9º- Load of property 'DefineConstants' failed.
10º- Load of property 'WarningLevel' failed.
11º- Load of property 'IntermediateOutputPath' failed.
I will wait for your instructions.

Forgot to tell you that I have Update 4 of VS2013 Express.
About the errors, It happens when I create a new project or if I load a old project.
One of the projects is a winform in Visual basic( I created from the start, so it's a new one) and the other is a console app in C# which I created months ago also with VS2013 Express. When I created this c# project there were no warning errors.
I tried and create a new console app in visual basic but it also shows this errors in the beginning:
Error- 'Sub Main' was not found in 'testapp.Module1'
2º-Error - Type 'testapp.My.MySettings' is not defined.
3º-Error - 'testapp' is not a member of '<Default>'.
The 2º and 3º error refer to a file Settings.Designer.vb

Performance problem in Mapping Designer using UDF with external imports

Hello,
we do have a big performance problem in developing (not in execution) graphical Mappings as far as we use "user defined functions" (UDF) with include-entries referencing to jar files which are imported as "imported archives".
For example the execution of invice mapping with a little bit bigger test file in the Mapping designer:
- after opening, not in change mod: 6 seconds
- after switching to change mod: 37 seconds (that's clear, now everything is compiled first)
- after adding "com.seeburger.functions.permstore.CounterFactory;" into the "import" field of one UDF, no other change: 227 seconds
- after saving and submiting the changlist (no longer in change mode): 6 seconds
- after switching to change mode: 227 seconds
So execution speed of testing (and also when watching queues) only increases in changemod more then three minutes when using UDF with imports, referencing to external JAR files. It doesn't depend on Seeburger functions (we are using XI also for EDIFACT, so we also use some Seeburger functions), I can reproduce it with any other JAR file which is used from a UDF.
Using java included functions like "java.text.NumberFormat;" in "Import" doesn't slow down the testing.
Can anybody reproduce this? We are using XI 3.0 SP19 on a AIX machine, so we also have to use the Java version from IBM.

I am experiencing a problem with the output of a line chart that I am creating in APEX. Its labels (X-axis) are dates, but they do not seem to fit entirely into the lenght of the x-axis (all the ones that I have ordered in the sql expression). Also, I needed to place these dates in a vertical position, for which I cannot find any parameter. The sql is as follows:

Hi Frank,
I'm creating some SEM Management Cockpit, the problem I faced is not the BEx Query itself, but the pie chart design and display. I have processed my data in advance, so there a only 5 values in my query at a time, and these area values are not constant values. If I don't mark a selection criteria, it will display a full pie in Management Cockpit.
And if I browse the query in IE directory, I can get a desired pie chart by "Swap Axes", so I think maybe there is a same choose in Management Cockpit.

Problems installing ISE Design Suite 14.7

I try to download ISE Design Suite - 14.7 Full Product Installation.
After a couple of hours the file is downloaded.
After that i unzip the file and start the installation from bin\xsetup.exe
The installation wizard starts and after a couple of seconds i get an error.
Unable to open archive, Please check file permissions.
I checked that but nothing is wrong.
What could the problem be? I also tried with ISE Design Suite 14.6 but i get the same error.

not to include the table mode in BI 7.0.
Solution
There is (in our opinion) a better alternative to the table view:
Create a query with only one structure and use
Report Designer to design your own table view. This allows you
to arrange the columns and many other
formatting and grouping options as you wish.

Problem with Query designing

Hi All,
I had created a query and started designing a crystal report.
But after designing the report, i came to know that some infoobjects are missing in the query.
So i went to query designer and added the corresponding infoobjects inorder, they could reflect while designing my crystal report.
But when i have reopened the report the field explorer is not showing the infoobjects which i have added newly.
In crystal reports what is the way to obtain those objects which are newly added to the query.
Even i have refreshed the field explorer many times but still it is not showing the updated objects.
But if i go creating a new report on the same query, there it is showing the added objects as well.
Only for the new report i could able to see the newly added objects in field explorer but not for the old report.
Please let me know the solution for this problem ASAP.

i think if you click Database--->Verify Database and also try Set datasource location -
>Update.
this should do the trick.
