Planned Activites in opportunity managment

Hi Experts,
   I am working with CRM 7.0 . In opportunity managment I find two assignment blocks 'Planned Activites' and 'Completed Activities'. When I create a Follow up activity . I find the activity in my 'Planned activities' assignement block. Now when I click the action corresponding to the activities. The activity moves to the 'Completed Activities' assignment block. But to my suprise there is no change in status of the Activity.
Is this the standard behaviour or I need to do some customization regarding this ?. Could you please then explain what is the use of the action link in both the 'Planned and Completed Activities'.

   Thanks for replying. You are right saying that the change from planned to completed activity in opportunity management is dependent on the system status. Only the system status is updated to 'completed' for the activity when I click the 'Close' Action.
But I am wordering what could be the business case to set only the system status in this case ? is there any way to set both the statuses ?

    Follow your build document for the same steps you used to build production.
    You should know where all your code is. You can use the deployment manager to export your configurations. Export customized files from MDS. Just follow the process again, and you will have a clean instance not containing production data.
    It only takes a lot of time if your client is lacking documentation or if you re not familiar with all the parts of the environment. What's 2-3 hours compared to all the issues you will run into if you copy databases or import/export schemas?

  • Your iPad is already active on a subscription plan that cannot be managed on this device

    I got the new Verizon Ipad a few weeks ago and just now attempted to activate the 4g service. The first few attempts resulted in an error message related to my SIM card (something to the effect that it had already been in use or something). After calling Verizon and taking the card out, running through a script, and putting it back in, we eventually got it to the point where we could connect to the 4G service and that specific SIM card error message went away. However, now I am getting this error: "Your iPad is already active on a subscription plan that cannot be managed on this device". I called and talked to another rep who said they are experiencing this issue with a number of Ipads and she was submitting a ticket for me to get the error "cleared out". She said it could take a week?
    When I go in and click "View Account" I either get this error message above or I get a brand new registration window to start all over again. Then immediately the "LTE" goes away in the upper left, it starts searching again, eventually finds the signal, and I get a popup saying "cellular data plan has been activated" or something to that effect. Then I am good to go.
    Anyone dealing with this and have it cleared up? They are acting like its something in their system that will just go away on its on but I don't buy it. I am getting the service so I am just trying to get the "view account" functionality to work. Thanks all.

    I had the same problem activating. I had gotten one error message when trying to activate. I didn't write the phone number down. I tried "View Account" again and then it started giving the error about the SIM card already being set up on an account. When I called that Verizon number the guy said I would need to go to a VZW store and get a new SIM card, but he did see the account in their system.
    A while later I decided to just restart the iPad and I started getting the original message that just said it couldn't activate right now and to try again later.  It provided a different phone number, which is the Verizon mobile broadband support number. When I called it the lady knew exactly what to do. She said the payment to the credit card hadn't gone through and she would have to push it through manually (this sometimes happens with certain credit cards when they see new online cellular service).  She had me go to settings / reset / and to reprovision the account and reboot while she did some things on her side.  When it came back up it was able to activate and the LTE even showed up. I also checked my credit card online and it only showed the $20 charge (for 1 GB Plan).
    However, as you stated, when I go to "View Account" it says that the iPad is already active on a subscription that cannot be managed on this device and gives the mobile broadband support number. I will wait a few days and see if it clears up on its own, but at least the data is working.

  • Development Plans functionality in Talent Management

    Hello,
    We are planning to use the Development Plans functionality in Talent Management.
    But the Development Plan is not opening from MSS. (MSS -> Talent management -> Assessment -> Development Plan).
    I had created the Business partner object for all my test PERNRs and I had created a Development Plan Template (via IMG step in Talent management). I had activated the Business Functions and Services.
    When I open the Development plan in MSS, it is showing the names of employees (i.e. the reports of the manager). But when I click on an employee, it's not opening any development plan. Nothing is happening.

    Hi Bharti,
    You must first delete the template names from the customizing tables where it is stored (under Talent Assessment node of Talent Management and Talent Development). Then you delete it under PHAP_CATALOG. Unfortunately you have created an databse inconsistency and you might need to see if Basis can delete the values from the table.

  • Unable to save Planned Activites created in Maintain Applicant Activites

    Hello to all SAP Experts,
    I am now trying out to Maintain Applicant Activities and create "Follow-up activies" for my particular applicant
    However i met this error when trying to save the planned activites:
    _Record 000000274003    00 201007192010071900020100719BT60 does not exist
    Message no. PG225_
    Please help me solve this issue please.

    Craete ur set type.
    Create Hierarchiy. Create category under that. Assign set type in the category.
    Assign Category Hierarchy to the application. This is also important step.
    But John generaly the std base hierarchy (SALE_PROD/BASE_PROD) is used , may be u can create the new category under that and can assign ur set type
    If does not solve. Pls send the detail screen print what u did in [email protected] It will be better to tell u what step u r missing.

  • Unable to see Planning application under calculation Manager

    Hello All,
    I created a Planning application in workspace and choose the Sahred Service Project as APS server.Now I want to create business rules.For that when I m lunching Calculation Manager from workspace, I m not able to see the appliaction that I had created before ,under Planning option of Calculation Manager.

    I think you created a classic planning applications. Calc manager will not recognize classic planning applications in version 11.1.1.2 and prior.
    You need to create a planning applications via EPMA and then you will see this in calc manager. If you have already opened calc manager, right click on the Planning node and do a refresh to synchronize the applications from EPMA.

    just create a new status profile via like Rekha said : SPRO -> SAP Reference Image -> CRM -> Transaction -> Basic Settings -> Status Management -> Define Status Profile for User Status
    just create new status profile and fill the status that you like to have.
    don't forget to choose the object types CRM Oder Header for the new status profile.
    and save it
    after that you need to assign the new status profile to your opportunity transaction type and save it.
    after that try to testing it, i think it will works

  • Planned activities assignment block not sorted by most recent first

    Hi,
    I have implemented BADI CRM_BP_UIU_BT of enhancement spot CRM_UIU_BP_ENHANCEMENT in order to increase the number of results in the planned activities assignment block on the BP overview page to 250 as the standard is 100 and this works fine.
    The problem is that the most recent transactions are not displayed first.
    Can someone tell me how where i can implement som ecode to influence the initial selection of the data so it only looks up the most recent 250.
    I don't believe this can be done in a sort on the BSP page, as only 250 records would have been selected.  If the BP has 250 or under this works fine, but as soon as they have more than 250 the sort obviously doens't include the other planned activities.
    If someone can suggest as way to do this I would really appreciate it.

    You can use action profile to create activity from oportunity based on the required condition (Status).
    Use the method Call type of processing and Method COPY_DOCUMENT. aslo mention the Activity type in the Process Type of the action definition.

  • Provisioning users to access Planning apps in Calc Manager

    What provisioning role in Shared Services determines whether or not an end user can see a Planning application in Calc Manager? One of my analysts can only see one of our three Planning applications in Calc Manager. I can see all 3 apps in Calc Manager but I've got full admin rights to everything. I've opened an SR with Oracle but they have yet to answer my question.
    Appreciate any feedback.

    I believe it might have to do with launch access. To see a business rule in calc manager, the planner must have launch access to it. Also make sure the user isn't being restricted due to the default "None" access kicking in somewhere. I believer your answer might lie somewhere in this issue.

  • Authorization - Sales Manager: Lead Management / Opportunity Management

    Hi Portal Gurus,
    As per our requirement, in the 'Sales Manager' role, under 'Sales Cycle',  we need to provide only 'Lead Management' for one set of users and 'Opportunity Management' for another set of users and both for other set of users.

    The best way to implement this is to maintain a single Sales Role with all the sub catagories ('Lead Management' , 'Opportunity Management' ) and apply role filtering concept according to the users. That way you need to maintain a single Sales role. Check out the below blog for more details abour role filtering.

    Or else, you can create three different roles, one for each 'Lead Management' , 'Opportunity Management'  and other containing both of them and assign to users accoedingly.

  • Where to find debit entry for planned activities through cost centre?

    hello experts,
    our client would like to know the impact of planned activities cost debit entry. the scenario is as follows.
    1. at the year begining we are planning activity hrs against any cost centre.
    2. respective activity hours are being confirmed through PP/PM orders.
    this time orders are being credited and cost centres are being debited for the activty prices.
    Now the question is tracability of credit entry wrt corresponding entry debit entry in the cost centre.
    Can anyone help me out?

    Hi,
    Let break this issue.
    1. If you maintain KP06, with reference to CE / CC / Activity, you get debit entries for the relevant cost centers
    2. If you maintain KP26 Planned Activities and Planned Rates, you get credit to the relevant cost centers
    So in the S_ALR_87013611 report referred to above, you would get both debit and credit to the cost centers in Plan Costs column + you can check the plan activities in the below section.
    As against this actuals:
    1. When you post your expenses to the cost centers / carry out assessment or distribution cycles for production cost centers (linked to the activity types), you ge the actual debits.
    2. When you confirm the operations of the production orders, you get the credit to the cost centers.

    But we were not able top find out any BADI or Function Module regarding the same. So never aware for completing this functionality do we need to write down any code or is there any configuration is available for the same.     I have not worked with the Buying Center, but...
    It sounds as if you need to work with your Partner determination procedure, which determines how partners are determined e.g. copied from one transaction to the next.
    Have a look at the Partner determination procedure for your transaction in:
    SPRO - CRM - Basic functions - Partner Processing - Define Partner Determination Procedure
