Planning Data upload
Hi Experts,
Clients wants to upload the planning data from Excel using T.code FMPLUP. If any any configuration required to execute, please share.
I created a file in excel with .CSV format, provided the File description as"Test upload" and then Executed
System issues the error message as
"File description TEST UPLOAD does not exist"
"Message no. DUE010"
Once the plan data is uploaded then we would like to convert this plan data in to Budget data.
Regards,
Purnima
Hi,
You have to define a Planning Layout and a Planner Profile. In the Planner Profile, you assign the layout and the default parameters. On the default parameter screen, click the overview icon, the system generates an excel template. You then click the save button to save the template to your PC. It is a TXT file. This is the template you use to create your planning file and upload it to the system.

Ming

Min Max Planning data uploading
Dear All
I have task to upload about more than 4000 items in form form Min Max Planning.
I just wanted to ask that if i upload the data directly from excel into its table.
Is it going to make any harm.
Its main table name is MTL_ITEM_SUBINVENTORIES
Requirement is urgnent there for waiting for your reply desperetely.
MajidHi Majid,
Never update data in a table directly ... you could run into support issues with Oracle. Unless you use a public api or interface. Or be 100% that you have validated your data properly before loading i.e. Item codes, are they assigned to the relevant INV org that the subinventory belongs to etc. etc.
For your particular issue you could use a form loader tool such a dataload.net. It is available as a freeware version (classic) that supports loading from spreadsheet to an open form or a professional version where you use a prerecording and 'background' load for more dataintensive requirements. It is still emulating datamanipulation as if it is done through a form.
Using a loader will ensure that your data is validated properly.

Not able to Upload data in Demand Planning data view
Hi
I am trying to upload a csv file in to Demand planning interactive planning through " Upload Data " functionality
First I exported data from interactive planning , updated some data in file and again trying to upload same file.
I am getting following error
File cannot be uploaded
Message no. /SAPAPO/SDP_UPLOAD009
Diagnosis
File has no technical information or incorrect technical information.
Procedure
Save the file again locally. Make sure that the file has the technical information.
Could u please suggest what needs to be done
Thanks and regards,
Nitin LavheHello,
For using the upload data functionality from interactive planning grid, you need to first download the data. While downloading the data, please check the check box for "Prepare the file for upload at later time", and then select the option of putting the technical setting into the file or into the system. Either way is okay. Then try uploading the same file.
This should solve your problem.
Thank you.

Jacky Jain.

Hi Guru's,
We have Data source that which upload Actual data for CCA (0CO_OM_CCA_1 - Cost Centers:cost and allocations). Every time it is full upload before loading the data deletion of previous load request will be done.
One more information required that i have checked in the BW cube for plan data it is available in the info cube for one cost center and rest of the costcenter i don't have the data now the users are requesting to upload the plan data for rest of cost centers.
Now as per the business requirement the users are requesting to upload the plan data in to the same i am not sure whether it will pull the plan data with actuals in to BW cube. Is there any alternate with the same data source or else is there any specific data source for uploading Costs and Allocations plan data
Please suggest me how can i go a head with this requirement.
Thanks in Advance.
GanniYou can use the same datasource to load plan/budget data to the cube for all the costcenters. And regarding the actuals, you can use 0CO_OM_CCA_9 datasource to load to actuals cube and create a multi on top of both plan and actuals cube for reporting purposes.

Upload plan data for balance sheet accounts
Hi Experts,
Is there a way to upload plan data for balance sheet accounts? I can upload revenue/cos and expenses through the profit center and cost center uploading but need to upload balance sheet accounts as well. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you.Loading balance sheet accounts using the Excel load to profit center tells me that I selected balance sheet accounts that cannot be entered manually. Not sure what this means... if I have an accounts receivable account, how would I find another equivalent account?

Upload Plan data for GL account
We want to upload plan data for the GL accounts so that the plan data shows with the actual data in the financial statement.
The question is what is name of the program/tcode
1. To upload plan data for GL accounts?
2. To upload plan data in the cost center accounting?
3. Most important - to transfer plan data from cost center accounting to GL accounts? Currently we have a custom program to upload plan data to CCA.
Thank you very much in advance
PrafulYou can plan at GL level using T code GP12N, Planning profile SAPFIGL & summary table GLT0. You will have to define plan version & planning period in t code OBP6.
Once plan is entered the same will be available in FI reports e.g. F.01
For Cost center plan use t code KP06. Alternatively you can activate excel integration for planning profile and upload from excel.

Wrong period values in Text template for upload of Plan data (KP06/KEPM)
Hi,
We are facing an issue in the upload template in text format for Upload of Cost Centre Planning data (Transaction KP06) in ECC 6.0.
We have some User defined layouts for Excel upload of plan data. If we save the file as a text (tab delimited) file, the Period values above the Column"Period" do not correspond to the correct periods in ECC 6.0. for e.g. the values above Period 1, Period 2, Period 3 are shown as 6, 5, 4 instead of the correct values 1,2,3. These values are considered by the system for uploading the Planning value in the appropriate Periods and hence the values entered in the Column Period 1 in the text file are incorrectly uploaded by the system in Period 6 based on the values generated by the system in the text file.
However, we do not encounter this issue in the 4.6C system where the values are correctly shown.
We are facing a similar issue with the text upload template for Sales Planning data in CO-PA (Transaction KEPM), where the values generated by the system do not correspond to the correct period.

RajaramHi Christian,

How to set start of cycle/next planned date at the Maintenance Item level??
Hi All,
We are uploading a bulk of Strategy Maintenance Plans into the system. Each plan has multiple maintenance items and each maintenance item in a plan having different next due dates. Now if we set the Start of cycle at the Maintenance Plan level, then the next due dates of the maintenance items in that plan would be calculated on the basis on Start of Cycle (Common for all) and frequency as set in MPackages in an item Task list. Since each Maintenance item may have different Frequency and next due date, generating a call object while scheduling the plan correctly to satisfy at the Maintenance item level is not seeming possible.
Can someone please suggest as to how do I set the Start of cycle or say Next Planned Date or Last Scheduled date at the Maintenance Item level either through configuration or programmatically. We are working on an SAP 4.6C version. It is urgent!!!hi
i think specifying start of the cycle for each maintenance level is not possible ,since start of the cycle refers to maintenance plan only .
for SAP standard kindly refer the following [link|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_46c/helpdata/en/94/43a968abc011d395bd00a0c93029cf/content.htm]
it is better to create one maintenance item per maintenance plan,if you want to control each maintenance item independently

Thanks & Regards
KumarRaja
Edited by: Kumar Raja D on Oct 7, 2009 2:36 PMHi,
Tables for groups are SETNODE and SETLEAF. Select by object class the required group (cost centres, cost elements, etc.) The tables for planning are COKP (primary) and COKS (secondary).

FI Master data upload sequence
Experts,
Please excuse me if my post sounds vague. I am a Technical Consultant working off-site independently. I couldn't think of a better forum to get functional advice.
Please look at the below list of FI Master data upload objects, and suggest:
a. the recommended sequence in which the objects are to be uploaded
b. points to consider/tips for uploading/recommendations (LSMW/BUS*/BAPIs, etc)
FI Objects:
1. Cost Centers
2. Profit Centers
3. GL Accounts- COA,CC
4. Fixed Assets
5. Bank Data
6. Cost Elements
7. Activity Groups
8. Activity Types
9. Activity Prices
Thanks in advance.
NWHi,
we have to upload first the Master such as G/l Accounts , Primary Cost Elements & Secondary cost elements.then upload the open items , then p/l balances, then B/S balances , finally asset master with balances
Pre-Check LSMW: To-Do-List Before Using the Tool
The LSM Workbench is a tool that supports the transfer of data from non-SAP systems to R/3. Basic functionality of the LSM Workbench:
1. Import old data from spreadsheet tables or sequential files.
2. Convert the data from source format into target format.
3. Import the data into R/3.
Before using the LSM Workbench, you need a concept for data migration. In particular, note the following items:
· Make sure that R/3 customizing is complete.
· Analyze the data existing in the legacy system to determine which data will be needed in the future (also from a business-operational point of view).
· Consider whether usage of the tool makes sense with regard to the data volumes to be transferred. In case of very small data quantities, it may be easier to carry out the transfer manually. With very large data volumes, however, batch input technology may lead to excessively long runtimes. Rough estimate for the required time: 10000 records per hour; this value, however, may vary strongly depending on the hardware.
· Identify the transaction(s) in R/3 you want to use for bringing the data into the SAP System. Here, it may also be relevant whether the data is required for statistical (evaluation) purposes or for further processing in the system.
· Test the relevant transaction in R/3 manually with test data from the old system and make sure that all required fields are filled. There may be required fields that do not correspond to any data window in the legacy system. In such a case, assigning a fixed value or defining the field as optional for data transfer may be appropriate.
· Check the interfaces provided by the application. Is there a batch input program and an IDoc (for example)? Which method should be used in your project?
· Develop a mapping plan in written form: Assign the legacy system fields to the R/3 fields.
· Determine the form (e.g. via u201EMOVEu201C or assigned according to a rule) in which the legacy system data shall be transferred to the SAP System.
· If applicable, define the allocation rules (LSM-internal name: u201Etranslation rulesu201C).
· Define the way for extracting the data from the legacy system. (Note: LSMW does not extract data.)
· Describe the form in which the old data are available: Will the host or the spreadsheet interface of the LSMW have to be used?
· If only a part of your legacy system will be replaced by R/3, define the functionalities to be provided by the SAP System and those to be provided by the legacy system. If required, create a concept of the data flows and interface architecture.
These questions can only be answered individually for every customer; as a matter of course, this should be done before the tool is used!
