Planning in SAP R/3

Hi,
I have a requirement like this....
For a product they want to take previous months sales data say for last 12 months... when we put this data upon execution system needs to propose the next future forecast data say for next 24 months after making some calculations ( ex. making average ) .... I know this can be done in APO... but client do not want to use APO and want this in ECC R/3
Is this can be achieved in ECC R/3 ?. Problem here is they do not want to use forecast based planning also......is there any way this can be done in SOP
Thanks
Vinamrath

Hello
If you don't want to use forecast based planning, the only alternative is to make the forecast in SOP.
After making the forcast on SOP, the values are transfered to demand management and then MRP is used to generate planned orders.
Take a look on the following link for more details:
Planning Table: the Forecast - Sales & Operations Planning (LO-LIS-PLN) - SAP Library
How to Run the Forecast with Mass Processing - Sales & Operations Planning (LO-LIS-PLN) - SAP Library
How to Transfer Data to Demand Management with Mas - Sales & Operations Planning (LO-LIS-PLN) - SAP Library

    Hello Marc and Sander,
I checked the document status and tested the link myself using a PC external to the SAP environment and did not have any problem. You do have to be logged in to do this. If you are not, you should see a page that will appear which says that a login is required to use that feature. On some occassions, users see an error message instead. I apologize for that.

  • How I can map "Sales Target Planning" in SAP?

    Hi All,
I am working in Sales & Marketing in a Logistic Service Provider Company.
Our Product is Container (in which RMG & other commodities are transported
via ship from/to all over the world). Our Sales Target is planned in yearly
basis on Quantity of Containers, Number of Buyers, Different Corridors,
Different Commodities etc etc. How we can map our Sales Target Planning in SAP?
    Regards,
    Syed Waseem Reza

    Sir,
Can you please let us know the high level process flow you have already mapped? I am facing the same problem.... I am here delivering my existing process flow.
We didnu2019t go for any other special module of SAP
The General modules of SAP including
    u2022     SD(Sales & Distribution),
    u2022     MM(Material Management),
    u2022     WM(Warehouse Management),
    u2022     LE (Logistic Execution),
    u2022     FI(Finance), CO(Controlling),
    u2022     FA(Fixed Asset)
    Basic Process Mapping:
u2022     SO(Sales Order) may create directly or against Qut(Quotation)
u2022     All SO line item will create the PR (Purchase Requisition)
u2022     Warehouse does the GR (Goods Receive) against PR indirectly SO.
u2022     Empty and Laden Container enters to Warehouse as a material received.
u2022     TO (Transfer Order) of Goods to the Bin Location
u2022     Creates the Outbound Delivery against GR.
u2022     Picking of Goods from WH Bin to Deliver Place
u2022     Packing of Goods to the Container as per Shipment.
u2022     Outgoing Invoice for collection against Outbound Delivery
u2022     Incoming Invoice for payment against Shipment Cost.
Management wants to give one sales target such as...
    Year -SO-----Material Group---Material Group
    --(20' Container)-----(40' Container)
    2009-----10,0004,000--
    2,000
and in the end of the year, Management wants to see the see the following report.
    Year      Targeted      Achieved     Target(20') Achieved(20')  Target(40')  Achieved(40')
    --SOSO-----
    2009-----10,0008,0004,0002,0002,000--
    1,500
For this I have to store my sales target in any of SAP document, because i have already all the Achieved information in my existing system, because material groups are keeping in the Shipment/Packing phase of the process, So i can easily make the report, but i cant get the Target as I don't have any place to store the same.
Can anybody help me to proceed?
    Rgds

  • SAP Organizational Plan for SAP Business Workflow

    Hi,
This is question is specific to SAP Business Workflow within ECC, relating to SAP Organizational Management:
    We have more than one instance of SAP, where one instance is used to run all of our business, except SAP HR (let's call this SAP Instance 1), and another instance that is only used for SAP HR (let's call this SAP Instance 2);
    We want to implement SAP business workflow (e.g. approving requisitions through workflow in ECC);
Is it possible to use our SAP organizational plan that is already defined in our SAP HR instance of SAP (SAP Instance 2), instead of defining an SAP Organizational plan in SAP Instance 1 only to support SAP business workflow.
Is it possible to define an interface from SAP Instance 1 to 2, to look up the requisition approver, pass it back to instance 1, and then send the workflow to the appropriate person.  Or is there another better approach?  e.g. Replicate organizational plan that exists in instance 2 in instance 1?  SAP tools for this?
From what I have briefly read online thus far, I understand that "The organizational plan is part of the PD component "Organization and Planning. The organizational plan is maintained on a client-dependent basis. An organizational plan which was created for personnel management purposes (or is to be created) can be used in SAP Business Workflow without any changes, provided the workflow functionality and the personnel management application run in the same client."  To me, this sounds like that the workflow functionality and organizational plan must exist in the same system and client.
Any thoughts, suggestions, or any advice to share?
    Cheers,

    Hi AD1981,
Standard solution would be using distributed Organisational Management. There is custom ALE for this (check tcode SALE: Application Link Enabling (ALE) -> Modelling and Implementing Business Processes -> Predefined ALE Business Processes -> Human Resources -> Master Data Distribution -> Set Up Distributed Organizational Management). Basically you would maintain organsation in HR system and distribute changes to other instance using ALE. Workflow would rely on the distributed org. structure.

    Saku

  • Distribution Planning within SAP - APO 3.0 or SCM 4.0

    Hi,
Can do any 'Distribution Planning' within SAP SCM V4.0 or V5.0.
We are trying to  improve  'decision-making' associated with selection of a particular warehouse  for shipments coming out of a specific plant. The application should be able to produce a recommended set of shipments by week from each plant. Critical inputs that go into the process will be (a) Procurement Forecast; (b) Production Forecast; (c) Warehouse Space; (d) Production Plan etc
Can this be done utilizing SAP APO 3.0, SCM 4.0 or SCM 5.0?
    Thanks

    Hi Tushar,
APO 3.0, SCM 4.0 nd SCM 5.0 all provide replenishment, distribution and deployement along with basic transportation planning functionalities wihin SNP (Suppluy Network Module) of APO. With SCM 5.0 you get other applications (along with APO) like EWM (Extended Warehouse Management) and better transportation planning features.
Moreover it makes sense to go in for the lastest version of the solution to get the latest set of features. Please check on help.sap.com under my SAP Business Suite >> SCM >> APO >> SNP or http://www.sap.com/solutions/business-suite/scm/featuresfunctions/index.epx for more details.

I guess it can be done. You need to cut all links of plant to the existing company code in ENTERPRISE STRUCTURE, and then reassign the said plant to the other company code.

I think it means SAP NetWeaver Adaptive Computing Controller.
