Plant restriction in Contracts

SDN Experts,
Could you help me in the following issue? Our customer wants to create a contract in ECC which can be used by almost every plant of its company code. However there are a few plants that cannot use this contract. Is there a way to restric which plants can use this contract to create purchase requisition's/purchase order?
For example:
The plants A, B, C and D are assigned to Comp. Code 123. Contract 4400 is created and should be used only by plant A, B and C. Plant D cannot use this contract. How can this be achieved without replicating each item of this contract to plant A, B and C?
Obs: The option to replicate each line of the contract for the plants that will use is not valid, because the contract may contain thousand of items.
Thanks,
Gustavo

Dear Simil,
>If you can  use  2 purchase organisations.
You can assign P.org1 to plants A, B,C & P.org2 to D
Create contarcts at P.Org level so that you can use for A,B and C.
>If you dont want 2 p.organisations
create contracts without plants, so that A,B,C can use the contract.
For Plant D create  contracts with plant D. In PO need to put a small validation to avoid other than d contracts/
Hope it will helps you

Vasu

  • MTO Discrete Manufacturing with multiple plants and sub-contracting

    Dear PP Gurus,
I am facing a problem, pl. help me out.
    My Scenario is as follows:
I am having 4 plants with Make-To-Order Discrete Manufacturing scenarieo .
Suppose to manufacture a particular Product , there are 10 operations. The first 4 operations are carried out in Plant A, 5th and 6th carried out in Plant B, Operations 7 is Sub-contracted to a Vendor. After the job-work from Vendor, the job returns back to Plant A and the remaining operations are carried out in Plant A.
The whole scenario has to be mapped into SAP. Please guide me from the very beginning( Masterdata maintenance). Also, what shud be the MRP( Single-item multilevel or anything else)
Your help is highly required by me.
    Thanks in advance,
    Soumyendu

    Hi Sadhukhan,
For external processing in different company code, u need to specify PP02 in the routing for external vendor. In PP02 control key indicator must be set in external opn. Before that create purchase info record. Enter subcontract info record in routing. After running MRP , convert the PR to PO. Send the material by MB1B by 541 mvt. Receive the material by MIGO by 101 mvt.
    Reward if useful.

  • Single BOM across multiple plants in sub-contracting

We have a single purchasing organisation managing sub-contracting for around 17 plants. This organisaiton purchases sub-contracted items for all the plants.
The problem we are facing is having to maintain the same BOM for all the 17 plants.
The central purchasing org is going to create the PO with multiple lines - requesting delivery from the vendor to the different plants.
How can we avoid having to create the same BOM in every plant?
    Regards,
    Praveen.

u can  avoid  by choosing  the  recurrcive  allowed  for  BOM  can  avoid it

  • Plant restriction in PR.

    Dear,
There are some users who are authorised to create PR for 3 plants. By mistake, some times, user creates a single PR having more than one plant. That is, different plants are assigned for different line items of the PR. This creates problems for us during execution of further customised processes.
We want to permit assignment of only one plant in a PR.
Is there any configuration/user exit/BADI available to restrict this.
    Please help.

    Dear Shiva,
    I will propose 2 solutions.
1.in the personel setting (PR Screen) make default value - plant which u want for perticular user. so whenever he will enter T code ME51n.. the Plant will come default.... Tell user to not touch plant field in PR.
    2. You can Restrict Perticular user to Perticular palnt with a help of authorization team ...
    Hope u got the solution.

  • Restrict all ECC6 roles on Comp Code / Plant restrictions

    Hi
thanks for your time and trying to help in advance
we have a requriement where we need to restrict all roles in ECC6 to a combination of Comp Code & plant to which they belong with few exceptions
we dont want to go the route of derived roles due to huge maintennace , are there any custom developments options where in we can restrict based on an user exit or create a custom table and check with the user runs a bunch of tcodes ( problem is its not just one as in ECC6 we need this restriction for large number of tcodes and multiple roles
is it worth looking at any options ?
    thanks

    Hi,
Do the job with derived roles.  This will save considerable time and expense over trying something like dynamically entering CC/Plant into an auth check as it would involve modifying hundreds of SAP programs (as you have already identified).
If you suddenly have a new restriction requirement then your company/client need to accept that there will be an overhead for the change.
One method that may be mentioned is "value roles" or "enabler roles" (if you use the search for term = enabler, you will get some info), but while they may slightly reduce time to implement these, the ongoing support will be increased and there is a high potential to leave your build in tatters.

  • Modify Plant Code on Contract Plant Condition

    Hello Everybody,
I have a doubt on contract, during the definition of a plant condition.
The user creates a contract (ME31K) and defines a plant for it, but if he need to change the plant code (by a mistake or doesn't need to be in the conditions anymore), he can't remove or modify.
There is a way to do something like that?
    Thank You!

    Hi,
Do refer the below OSS Notes it may help you..

  • How to restrict Warranty by Plant

    Hi Experts,
i'm new to the Warranty module so i am need in much help..
I've created a role with t-code WTY as this role will allow users to process claims but it is also their business requirement to restrict the view to only a particular plant.
For example, currently there are Plants 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004. So plant 2002 should not be able to see what plants 2001, 2003 and 2004 are having..
i've tried enabling the m_mate_wrk object in su24 and then adding it to this role but when i see the trace, what i see is that the m_mate_wrk DOES get read but although plant had been defined, it's being read as a dummy ...so i guess what i've tried to do here is wrong...
really appreciate if anyone can give some useful pointers as to how this plant restriction can be done for this role..
    Thanks!

    Hi Dmitry,
To restrict actions by status, you have to define a schedule condition for each action in SPPFCADM transaction. You can refer to this doc if you need more help.
    Kind regards,
    Stéphane.

  • Restriction for sub contract PO creation

    Dear expert,
We are having discrete manufacturing process,
Some assemblies are manufactured using  production orders as well as Sub contract PO.
    We are using split valuation.
Now our requirement is suppose one assembly has been assigned to Subcontract purchase order, then the system should not allow the creation of production order for that assembly.
    How to map this scenerio?
    Thanks in advance,
    K. Subhash

    Hi Shankar,
I have not tried in one company code, any way you can try this with creating another plant as subcontracting vendor & process in the same way how you process for sub contracting.
    1) Create plant as sub-contracting vendor
    2) create po with item category L
    3) send components
    4) receive materials.
but since it is within a company code check for legality involved with FI, you can customize special transaction key for this may be with movement types since it is within a company code, that is the reason i asked you is it within a co.code

  • Restrict CO Report by Plant

    Dear gurus,
Is there a way to restrict CO tcode with Plant?
For example, in tcode KB01, i've enabled check for Plant in SU24, but it's not working.
How do I link the plant restriction in that tcode?
    thanks for your help.
    Best regards,

    Gurus,
    That note doesn't contain KOB1.
We want to restrict the plant in KOB1. Is that possible?
    Thanks for your help.

  • Profitability Analysis not generated in Contract billing Document

I have created the Billing document against the contract order but the Profitability Analysis is not getting generated.  But any sale order related billing document is created; system automatically creates the Profitability Analysis.
Can you tell me where the problem is or have I missed any steps?
    Regards,
    Devendra

    1) For a service material (DIEN), We are creating an Sales Order (VA01) and doing a order based billing (VF01). In the Sales Order we are giving the plant (no shipping point and storage location as it is a DIEN material).
Once we do the billing we are able to see the Profitability Analysis document.
    2) Now we are using the same material we are creating a Contract (VA41) for a period of one year and doing a monthly billing. In this case we are using VF04 for doing the bills that are due.
We are getting two results in this:
    a) If we give a Plant in the contract, the Profitability Analysis document is not getting generated at the time of billing.
    b) If we do not give any plant, the Profitability Analysis document is getting generated at the time of billing.
Please note that we are using the same material, same pricing procedure in both the above cases 1) and 2). Only difference is that the source documents are different i.e., one is Sales Order and the other one is Contract.
In our copa valuation we have assigned the conditions to value field, no derivation rule assigned.

  • Contract--Reg

    Hi ,
In our PO contract screen ME32k plant and storage locations are defaulted as single plant.
Actual contract for one material is for 6 plants.
How can we default plant and storage location values with 6 plants in sequence?
    For example:
When in a Purchasing contract and need to add new part number all the lines come up 1111 plant actually . Then we need to change all of them to 1111 , 2222 , to 5555 manually . It is a lot of manual work. It should always be 1111 to 5555 every 5 lines that is what it always to be . This should come automatically in contract.
Do we have any settings to maintain this?

You can have only one plant & Sloc as default. That is what default means. What you are expecting is not possible.

  • Fields mandatory on contract...

    Hello all,
how to make these fields mandatory on contract-plant, shipping point, contract start & end dates . what would be best way- user exit or transaction variant. as our requirement is when ever we trying to save the contract system should not allow us. Please advice?( we cant make incompletetion log as same time we need some fields optional also)
    Thanks
    RK

    hi RK
Thanks For your reply vishal but in my case i need to make some fields mandatory(means cant save the sales order) as well as optional(can save but doc is incomplete- normal scenerio) so i think through incompletion procedure i cant satisfy both the conditions. please suggest alternative approach
for same document type if you wish to perform both scenarios then that is not possible by any means.
If both the document types are different then it is possible to go by incompletion procedure
Say for DOCU TYPE 1 you can maintain 1 incom. procedure where it will give error
For DOCU TYPE 2 don't miantain those fields in incomplet procedure
