Play audio is jumping

My play in itunes is jumping (like skipping), on my desktop.
My ipod works fine, and my itunes on my laptop works fine.
I've done the latest updates for both itunes and quicktime.
Also, my windows media player works fine.
Do I need a driver update, or what???

I told my client its impossible, but he gave me a DVD which is working exactly like this. Its an Audio -DVD which includes a normal video dvd also. When I played it on my Mac it played just like a normal dvd, but when I tried it on my Marantz Universal player it detected an audio dvd and showed me the MLP compressed audio tracks also. These tracks where totally invisible while i tried on Mac. On a Windows computer with Power DVD it was showing this track and playing back too!
While we play the songs on the dvd and can see the lyrics with forward and backward, even you can go to a section called Playlist which lists all the songs. There is no pause on the audio track!!. I am totally confused how they made that DVD. Its done by Sony India. Pls check this link

DVD player plays audio CD's and DVD but no sound from DVD

Hi All,
I have an Asus DRW608P with the latest firmware and a TDK CDRW4800B (CDROM) The Asus plays audio CD's but if I play a DVD there is no audio using Windows media player. I have a Sound Blaster Audigy 2 sound card (latest driver)and I am using the analog direct to my logitech 5500's. Any ideas? Possibly a jumper or cabling issue?
The Asus is using the Analog CD audio cable to the Audigy and the CDRom is using the digital audio cable. Both dri'ves are set to master. Should one be the slave or does it matter? Any ideas?

I'm having the same problem. I can play the video part of a DVD but no sound. Audio CDs and Windows sounds work fine. Does this mean I'm missing a DVD codec or is there a software setting I'm missing. The Nvidia codec costs money. Is there a free codec that will fix this? This is with Windows XP and Audigy 2 LS.

Does the dock manufacture say it is compatible with the 5G iPod with iOS 6.0.1?
Have you went to the manufacturer's support site? Contacted them?
Try resetting the dock. How you do that depends upon the dock

Does it not play at all or cannot you get the audio in the timeline?
Did you copy the entire card to the hdd and then imported the file via the Media Browser?
Did you source patch the audio tracks?

How can I code to play audio continuously from page to page in iBooks for reflow ePub

Hi,
I have tried and successfully completed the iBooks ambient soundtrack option in Fixed Layout ePub. It works fine.
But while trying the same in Reflow ePub, it is not working in iPad iBooks. I have latest iBooks version and latest iOS version in my iPad.
Please let me know how can I code to play audio continuously from page to page in iBooks for reflow ePub?

That's how it works in all cases.

Satellite L-50 can't play audio from multiple sources

I can't play audio from multiple sources. This is very annoying when I have 2 youtube videos playing, if I start playing something on the media player, there is no sound on media player, it's the same when I have 2 media players open and 1 youtube video playing, youtube video doesn't have sound..
I already have all the latest drivers, last DTS driver update was in 2014, sound update this year's february..

I don't know if this makes sense, but I got newer DTS sound driver which I found, It's not my laptop model, but they all seem to be the same - v1.1.88.0
I uninstalled DTS software and still had the same problem, so it's not affecting sound driver in any way..

Can't play audio cd in totem

hello!
the subject says all. when i insert an audio cd into my drive i can't play it with totem (totem-xine). the option "play audio cd" is greyed out.
any ideas?

I see that the option called “give exclusive mode applications priority” has been checked.
Usually different applications and programs can access the sound card simultaneously.
For example: you can hear the sound in game, while you can run your own music via an external player.
This is prevented with these options “give exclusive mode applications priority”.
Maybe you should disable (uncheck) this option to prevent the different applications for using this exclusive mode stream.
I did it for my DAC. I set the DAC for exclusive mode. Once my audio playback software starts to play music, no other software is able to share the DAC.
However, I use Win 7 and Realtek sound driver… It’s another configuration.
So it’s not known to me if your issue is related Win 8.1 system or maybe limitation of sound driver… it could be also possible that one of your sound applications don’t allow multiple sound streaming.

Can I use Optical Audio alongside a speakerless monitor to play audio through speakers?

I have an Apple TV 3 and so far I am relatively pleased. However.. I have no sound, this just about renders my Apple TV useless. Is it possible to use the Optical Audio cable to play sound from films, music etc. while still having the Apple TV connected to the Monitor via HDMI? Do you have any suggestions as to what speakers would be good? (looking at around £50 - £100) I was thinking of getting some of the Bose Companion 2 monitor speakers and then using a DAC to play audio from the Apple TV to the speakers. Would this work? If not, does anybody have any other suggestions?
P.S. I can't plug speakers into my monitor for some absurd, annoying reason unbeknown to society

My ATV is connected to the tv with hdmi
My optical is connected to my stereo
I mute my tv and only play out of the stereo

Airport Express no longer playing audio from iTunes (airtunes) or Airfoil

My Airport Extreme recently died so I set up a new wireless network with my 2wire modem from AT&T (Uverse). The new wireless network is fine - laptop connects just fine, Apple TV hasn't had any issues, Netflix through my PS3 hasn't had any problems. However, I'm having problems with the Airport Express in my bedroom. It shows up in airport utility with a green light. It has a green light on the unit itself. It shows up in the multiple speakers pop up in iTunes and shows up in Airfoil's list of available speakers. The problem is whenever I connect to it (from iTunes or Airfoil) it plays audio for one second, then nothing.
It worked fine with my old network set up. It doesn't seem to be a connectivity issue as I can see it with no problems and things connect to it fine. Is it possible that it just happen to die at the same time that the Airport Extreme died? So when I set up the new wireless network, it was dead? I'm on 10.7.4.
Any help would be appreciated.

Cannot play audio CD with Creative MediaSource Pla

Hi All,
I recently installed an Audigy 2 ZS Platinum soundcard and the Creative MediaSource Player software. I also purchased Creative 5. Analog speakers. Have everything configured pretty well now and really enjoying the enhanced sounds!
My problem is that I cannot play audio CDs using the MediaSource Player. I can see my DVD Player and CD Player in the MediaSource Player 'Source' column and a list of all the tracks on the CD. (no track info, just track numbers and length)
When I double-click on a track it cycles through all the tracks and then places an 'X' next to each one in the 'Now Playing' list window. If I have other music files from my harddri've available, it will start playing one of them.
I've tried different CDs with the same results.
I can use both the DVD and CD dri'ves to play an audio CD if I use any other player (Winamp, Windows Media Player, etc.) and use both dri'ves everyday for loading software and reading files. It will also read the demo DVD Audio disk that came with the card using the DVD-Audio player they provide so I'm pretty sure there's nothing wrong with the hardware or drivers.
I've read all the info that came with the card and on the Creative Web site and have been through every configuration screen multiple times but haven't found a switch that turns this feature on.
Would like to get this working so I can standardize on one player that allows me to use all the advanced features of my new card.

A good way to see what kinds of things you might need for something like vlc is to look at the optional dependencies for the package. So if you do pacman -Qi vlc if the package is installed on your system already, or pacman -Si vlc if not yet installed, you can see in the output what kinds of optional dependencies there are. The genuine Apple adapter works for me, most cheap knockoffs do not support sound ,it is usually in the micro print at bottom of the ebay offerring
It is pricey by comparison but it works and the knock offs usually don't pay the patent licence fee hence they guess the technology that is in the lightning plug
and charge a minimal price

You're trying to play 'legacy' media which was depreciated a number of years ago for security reasons. It relies on some external player understanding how to open the file type, but Acrobat/Reader can only send the file across and hope that something will react, it cannot help you find the codecs you need.

I can no longer play audio on my iPhone in headphones mode after getting a phone call

I took a phone call the other day while playing audio from my iPhone on on Aux cord in my car, and when the phone call ended audio stopped working. What model of camcorder is this video coming from?
Are you working on a Mac or a PC? Have you got the latest version of Quicktime, per the program requirements? When you started your project, did you select the settings for a DSLR at 720p? This is a vital step since it will activate the components your computer will need to work with many of these types of files.
