PLD - print several documents at once

Hi.
Can anyone tell me if it's possible to print several documents at once in SAP B1 2007A.
When creating sales order, I would like to print both order confirmation and a second document used as pick list.

I do not believe that it is possible to print two different layouts at once except for special cases such as printing batch information along with a marketing document. You will see these special cases in Print Preferences.
The usual techniques for printing two documents from one layout are:
1. Repeat the repetitive area etc.
OR
2. Specify two copies of the layout.
In both cases, you would use formula fields that would react to which print you were producing. For example, printing a different page heading on copy 1 and copy 2.

We are looking for a possibility to print out several originals at once (mass print). The originals might belong to several DIRs. I know that there are external solutions available (e.g. from SEAL Systems). But my question is wheather there are SAP solutions available for this requirement. I can think of printing from CV04N result list, printing from EasyDMS (printing complete EasyDMS folder), printing from CAD-Desktop (CDESK) or from Web Documents. But in SAP Standard (ECC 6.0) you can alway just print one original at a time. I really appreciate any information!

(haven't done this myself, but someone else here says it works...)
Create a desktop printer for the HP - using Printer Setup Utility in the Printers menu.
Drag and drop your docs on the desktop printer.
Please let us know about your success with this.

Printing several document in a single check

My user printing check from tcode fbz5. there have the option for printing one check for one document number. now their requiremnt is they need the option to print several document no of same vendor should print in one check. So, please help me regarding this issue.

Thanks, but the demo example isn`t exactly my problem. I say that the datafile contains several tables and not one table as in the example,using only the WHEN keyword, i can´t or i don´t know solve it.

I would like to do some "contact sheet" of several .AI documents
Is it possible?
If not, is it possible to print several .AI documents at once (almost with one mouse clic)?

easiest way to do this if you have CS 3 or later is the Bridge Upper right of the Bridge Select output and select PDF in the content window of the bridge control click on the files you want to include in your composite then in the output panel choose the number of columns and rows that determines how many will be on one page. So say you have 24 items and you want 6 on a page select all 24 put in 2 rows 3 columns or vice verse nd the bridge will generate a 3 page pdf document with 6 documents on one of each of the pages.
Open in Acrobat and print all of them at one time or open one page at a time in AI if you have AI CS4 there is a script that will open all the pages as artboards and you can print them from AI.

I want to print several attahments at once without opening them one at a time.

What I am trying to accomplish is this,
I'm trying to at one time print several attachments at one time without opening them one at a time.
They are receipt from our supplier so we receive an average of twenty a day it will be so time consuming to have to open each one then print everyday.

The best you may be able to do is create a filter that automatically or manually detaches or saves the attachments to an external folder (for that, you need the [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/addon/filtaquilla/ FiltaQuilla] add-on), and then you could select the attachments in Explorer and print them.
If the receipts were displayed inline or in the message body, you could set up FiltaQuilla to Print the messages, and to have the printing done in the background without having to OK each message, the [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/addon/printingtools/ Printing Tools] add-on would help.
But for only 20 messages per day, it may not be worth going to the trouble of setting up this method.

Staples was not able to print my document created in mac "Pages." How do I convert it to a publisher file?

The Staples store was unable to print my document flyer that I created in mac "Pages" that I saved on my flash drive. They said they couldn't convert it from mac and to go back and "save as" "publisher file." However, when I click file, save as does not come up as an option. How can I get my flyer printed?

On your Mac select print the document. Once in print pane select Save as PDF. The PDF they will recognize.

We also encountered with the same problem and now we are using HP solution for it.
There are four major problems with the SAP print spool process:
1. Limited bidirectional communication between the SAP environment and the underlying operating
system (UNIX, Linux, and related systems). After the file transfer to the host, the only information
that passes between the two environments is whether the file still remains in the print queue (if the
SAP environment is configured to enable polling).
If the file is no longer present in the hosts print queue, the SAP environment assumes that the file
has printed. If the file disappeared for any other reason, such as a reboot of the operating system
or if the printer is turned off, the assumption is not correct. SAP proceeds to process the next
output request and the file simply disappears, leaving no trace of the failure.
Most often, SAP sets the status flag to complete after transferring the request to the host spool
system. This action is a false positive because it actually indicates the handoff is complete, but not
that the job is printed. It aggravates users and increases calls to the helpdesk.
2. The lpr command passes only very specific instructions to the host spooler. The host only attempts
to deliver the file to the specified printer; it does not wait for the printer to confirm that the last
pages printed. It does not perform transformations, repackage the data, or redirect the file to
another printer. Nor does the host track the file and keep a record of what happens. The lpr
command (in some of the UNIX-related distributions) does allow an option to send an e-mail at
completion of a print job, but this option can quickly clog up the e-mail system and is rarely used.
3. Users have to make all adjustments to data within SAP before initiating the print request using the
capabilities already programmed into the SAP environment. This limitation includes advanced
print features such as staple, duplex, and resize, although administrators can enable the SAP
spool work process to handle these types of functionality by creating a new print driver. Further
extensions require additional programming within the environment.
4. A relatively inflexible and unfriendly input process can cost money and slow business processes.
For example, reports often need to go to people in different offices or at different sites. Users must
create multiple output requests in order to send the documents to multiple destinations, or users
must send the report to a print center where someone (extra headcount) collects the multiple
copies and mails them to the recipients (extra mailing costs and extra time). Sending reports by
fax or e-mail require a different set of steps, which further burdens the user.

How to Print one PDF document (with several documents inside) at once?

When I select several emails and convert them into one single PDF file, I would like to know how can I print (hardcopy print) all emails at once, instead of having to select each one at a time to prit it.
I have ADOBE Acrobat X Pro V10.
Can anyone help me with this? It would save a lot of time.

PLD: How to print 1 document to 2 printers

Dear All,
Can someone tell me how to print 1 document to 2 different printers? I need this for my delivery documents. 1 copy goes to 1 printer with normal A4 paper (return with signature copy) and the other needs to go the the other printer which has pre-printer paper with a logo and different color paper (for client to keep copy).
Can this be done with normal functionality or does this require an add-on?

Hi,
This can be done using a UDF.
If Value of UDF is 1 then all the field related to the Deliver document has to Print
If Value of UDF is 2 then all the field related to the Pre-printed format has to print
This can be done by changing the UDF whenever your are taking the print out you have to select the UDF so that they can take the Delivery Document and Pre-printed document by using Formula field in the Single Print Layout.
But you have to customize the report according to that. I Had done the same for my client.
Once the Problem is solved please close this issue.

In Transaction CC04, Is there a way to print documents at once

In Transaction CC04, In Document Tab, when the Document Number, Document Type, Document Part are specified, t goes to the Product Structure Screem where there is a drill down for Sub ordinate documents. Under the Subordinate documents There are many documents.
Under each document, There are sub ordinate documents included with it. User needs a way to print all the documents at once that have status as RL( Released). Is there a way to Print all documents with out drilling down in to each document and print. Please tell me a way to figure out this.

You can. If it's one of the HP printers that support AirPrint then you can do so directly (this page lists the printers and has info on Airprint http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4356), there is the Epson iPrint app for some of their printers. Otherwise there are third-party print apps such as Print N Share, Print Central etc

Printing documents at once in SBO 8.8

Adobe: How to print the documents more than once with different data.

Hi Experts,
I have a requirement to print the document of minimum 5 employee's at a time.
First we are displaying the list of employee's and then the user is provided an option to select the employee's and print their details.
A form has been created. We are able to print the document for a single employee. But now the requirement is to select multiple employee's and print their details at one time.
I am able to get the contents all the employee's in an internal table. But i am not getting to combine the contents together and print the document.
So could some one help me how to get the contents of all the selected employee's and print the document's.

I don't understand whether you want to print several different documents in a row each with an employee or one pdf document with several employees in it.
If you want to print one document with multiple employees inside, then you have to recode your PDF to be able to handle a table containing each employee data.
If you want to print multiple pdf documents each containing one employee info, then this is done in abap. [see BC480]

The print functions are generic ALV functions.
The 'print hierarchy' prints all nodes which have been expanded before even if they are not visible in the tree (collapsed).
That's the difference to the 'print view' option.
It depends on the application design which nodes are expanded.
In transaction CC04 'product structure browser' the product structure will never be completely expanded by design because the whole PLM environment could be part of such a product structure, means depending on the filter settings millions of objects have to be expanded.
In SAP Standard it is not planned to change the existing behaviour in transaction CC04.
Material BOMs can be printed via transaction CS11 or CSMB (in this transaction a context menu function 'EXPAND ALL' exists which can be used before printing).

I can print delivery document and no problem at all. but i want when 2nd time i will take print of this delivery document it will show copy or already printed in the printed document.

If you are using Crystal Reports then you can create a formula like the example below to show original against copies:

If the text qualifiers do not work then you can always create two formulas that contain the wording above and insert these into the formula:
