Has anyone ever been able to get iTunes Match on Windows?
According to information from Apple it is possible.
According to my real life experiences, it is NOT possible.

Clicking on the "Subscribe..." button opens up iTunes and then pops up this dialog:
"We could not complete your iTunes Store request. The iTunes Store is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later."
Yeah, well, I tried it again. I tried on a Windows XP machine, I tried it on a Windows 7 machine, and on a Windows 8 machine. All freshly installed. Same results on all machines.
I emailed Apple support, they gave me standard replies like "Restart your router" and "Check your firewall".
I reeeally don't think that's the issue here. My servers have been running web, ftp, mail, games, and a BUNCH of other services 24/7 for years. It's what I do. It's what I've done for 20 years.
Is there anyone that can give me a real answer?

I did as you suggested, step by step and I still have exacly the same problem.
When I click on "Store", "Turn on iTunes Match", iTunes crashes and I constantly get an error message "iTunes has stopped working".
This problem is still there despite upgrading to the latest version of ITunes for Windows.
Any other ideas?

You must be signed into the mobile iTunes Store using the same Apple ID you used to originally purchase iTunes Match. On the iOS device go to Settings > iTunes and App Stores and tap the Apple ID. Log out, then log in with the correct ID.

I am having a similar issue with iTunes Match. It keeps hanging up on the same number of files (11035 of 15455) during STEP 2. I've tried signing out, re-opening iTunes, re-booting, etc. Still comesup stuck for hours. What I also don't understand is why the "iCloud Status" option in "View/View Options" disappears intermittently. It was there when I first booted up this morning and I reviewed all my music files to see if there were any "errors" and there werne't any. But after Match gets stuck on the same file niumber (11035) I 've signed out and re-booted and now the "iCloud Status" check box is missing from "View Options" (only the "iCloud Download" option remains present all the time. Please help. (I've also checked to make sure all the music files are within the suggested bit rate parameters and file type - This is also a brand new iMac out of the box). Running out of troubleshooting ideas and beginning to think this service just doesn't work well.

I would hold fire at the moment as I think its too early to be changing router security - I have no inside information but like many I suspect its a combination of firmware updates to routers and a patch needed on the iPad. If solely the latter then it will be fine for you, but if for example, the work routers are using Cisco Clean Connect, then there will be little you can do - it will be up to work I'm afraid.

Hi, I just exchanged the iphone4 for for the iphone 5s. For five days now it says 'Loading iTunes Match' on the display of the new phone when I go to 'Music'. Same thing for photographs. What can I do?
So far I've checked that all the right things are enabled, but I'm wondering if I've missed something. It worked more or less fine on the iphone 4. I went through similar topics on this notice board and tried the solution of deleting the old iphone from the list of devices.
It won't update to 7.0.3 because it says something about the iPhone having to restore from the iCloud backup...
The only thing that's out of the ordinary with my account, is that the apple shop originally set me up with a second itunes account for icloud when 'me' got discontinued. Does this matter? I never had issues like this with the iphone 4.
I hope someone can help! I work with both music and photographs! If all else fails, I am willing to stop using iclouds...

I just decided to not heed the warning about loosing data if I updated to 7.0.3 before the iPhone was finished restoring from the iCloud back up and it worked!! I'm getting my songs now! It's downloading my music! :-) Don't know about the photos yet, but I guess I'll find out.

I recently purchased itunes match however, don't appear to be able to get past stage 1 before an error message appears. It reads-reporting error '4010' or '4002'. It has been going on for 2 days now. I am using iMac OS X version 10.7.4. Can anyone help please?

I searched for resolutions and tried several which didn't work. I did as you suggested and now have an upgraded E-Fax account in order to send faxes. I have 2 user names ID's and can't get iTunes match on my iPhone

I purchased iTunes Match so I could listen to my library on my iPhone. However, my iTunes user ID is different than my iPhone user ID. When I go to "settings" on my iPhone and select "ON" for iTunes match, it says I haven't purchased it. What can I do? There doesn't seem to be a way to merge the accounts and I'm afraid if I abandon one for the other, I will loose all the information associated with that ID. Can you help? Thanks in advance.

Last night I just made a new library and imported the old library into the new one. That took care of the problem. Not sure why I was able to import and not access the library, but whatever. It works.
To follow up on your question, I could see the iTunes folder via Finder and iTunes, but when I tried selecting the folder nothing would happen. The drive is connected to my airport and is seen as a network attached storage.

If you synced/backed up your iphone while they were there, then you can restore from backup.
Otherwise, they are gone.

I did the same exact steps that I did for my iphone but when i try to turn it on it keeps telling me I am not subscribed and to subscribe through itunes on my PC. I've already paid and subscribed to iTunes match and do not know why I keep getting this error message. When I am in itunes on my PC I can see that my ipad is not authorized with that account and do not know if that is the problem. If so how do I authorize my ipad? I've used the store drop down box and choose authorize this computer but it keeps trying to authorize my PC and not my ipad. I am running the most current version of the ipad and itunes.

I signed up for iTunes Match after iOS 7 and iTunes Radio came out. It says it should work on Apple TV by selecting Music->iTunes Match but when I try that it shows nothing available in the library. Is there a way for your backup to remember what songs you have downloaded with itunes match

i use itunes match, but i download the songs to my device as i have spotty service where i work and live.
i am upgrading to a larger size iphone and dont want to have to search through itunes match again and select all the songs i want to download again once i get the new phone. is there a way that itunes match will "remember" what song i have downloaded to my device and "re-download" them to the new device?
maybe via a playlist then just download the playlist? this seems like a lenghty way of doing it though.
anyhelp, tips or advice would be greatly appreciate. thanks
