Please Help! For some reason when ever I type in PSE 10 it comes out very faint and almost invisable like. I'm not sure what I did but I cant get it back to the normal black font??? Please help. I know this seems like a very simple and easy question. I could use any advise. I've tried everything.
Further to what dominic said, in PSE 11 and 12, you get to Reset Tool by clicking the four-lined square on the upper right of the Tool Options area. In older versions, click the tiny triangle or tool icon at the far left of the Options Bar.

• iMovie ill behaving - Trash the iMovie pref file - use to set things right
• in reg. to Photos - Did You change iPhoto Photo Library - Then iMovie get's lost as it peeks into iPhoto on start up to see where photos are stored. Set iPhoto back to first Photo Library (when iMovie is not running) then start iMovie.

- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Last night my laptop died and the time and date was reset. I cannot acess date and time preferences to change it and my laptop is acting really weird. My CD drive is broken so there are no options to put in a cd. Please someone help i need my laptop for school and cannot afford another.
Many system actions will misbehave, given an inaccurate date. Resetting the NVRAM and / or SMC will not fix it, and if the system has a preposterous date you may not be able to open System Preferences to correct it. This dilemma may or may not be addressed in a future OS X update.
If you cannot open System Preferences you can reset your system date and time using Terminal.
Please read everything that follows before proceeding. Write them down if necessary because the effects of setting a preposterous system date are unpredictable.

Open Terminal - it is in your Utilities folder and looks like this
You can find Terminal by using the Finder's Go menu and choosing Utilities, then double-click the Terminal icon.
At the prompt, you will be typing a command resembling the following:
sudo date mmddhhnnyyyy
... but you must substitute the actual date and time in the command that corresponds to the date format used for your location. In other words if your custom is to use a date like 8 February 2014 then reverse the mm and dd values.
Substitute numerals in the above command according to the following:
mm = month
dd = date
hh = hour (24 hour format)
nn = minutes past the hour
yyyy = year
Each of those values must be two digits except for the year which can be two or four digits. As an example if the current date and time is February 8, 2014 at 9 PM your command will be the following:
sudo date 020821002014
or
sudo date 0208210014
Either one will work. If you enter nonsensical values the system will attempt to parse the entry correctly.
To recover from your inability to use System Preferences to set the date and time, the value entered does not have to be precise, it just has to be approximate.
Enter that command using the actual time and date for your location and in the appropriate format, then press the Return key. Terminal will ask for your Admin Password - the same one you use when you log in to your Mac. Type it and then press the Return key. What you type will not appear, not even with •••• characters.
To determine if your change was effective just type the date command and press the Return key. Terminal will reply with the date and time. If it appears correct and in the correct format, you should be able to open System Preferences > Date & Time once again. Selecting the "Set time and date automatically" and choosing an appropriate time server will adjust your Mac's system clock to the precise time. -
I cant navigate inside firefox.... this page here has been the only place that my mouse will take me to any new page... when I try to go to different links inside any of my normal sites, like facebook or youtube, if I click on any link inside them I am taken back to my main home page.... I also can not single click open any of the icons next to the firefox name at the top left of my screen, history, bookmarks, tools, none of those work unless I hold my mouse button down and then scroll down to what I need... I have cleaned my mouse, and it works fine on my husbands comp, and works fine offline on mine... it is only in firefox that I seem to be having a problem... what can I do?
If it works in Safe Mode and in normal mode with all extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) disabled then try to find which extension is causing it by enabling one extension at a time until the problem reappears.
Close and restart Firefox after each change via "Firefox > Exit" (Windows: Firefox/File > Exit; Mac: Firefox > Quit Firefox; Linux: Firefox/File > Quit)

PLEASE HELP!!! I am simply trying to update the APN settings on my Iphone3 AT&T carried Straight Talk SIM phone. For some reason, when I enter the Straight Talk APN info in the Config Utility and click "Install", NOTHING HAPPENS. WHY? I have spent almost 2 full days simply trying to get the cellular data network settings to appear and I am now at the point of pulling hair and/or smashing things. Why is it so difficult to simply update the cellular data network APN settings on a standard Iphone 3 ATT with a unlimited Straight Talk plan? Everyone knows that Straight Talk's $45 a month unlimited data/calling plan is supposed to be 100% compatible with AT&T carried Iphones. for some reason , when i restore my iphone 4s to factory settings my headphones work when listening to music or youtube videos but when i backup my information onto it , it only comes out of one ear bud and i just got a new one from the apple store. my old iphone 4s audio jack was messed up but i just got a new one with my warranty , can anyone help me please.
It doesn't matter what it is in your backup that's causing the problem because you can not selectively restore things from your backup. It's all or nothing.
Set you phone up as a new device and start over. -

Hello I just bought the USB super drive for the mac book pro and for some reason when I put the disc in and I download the content and for some reason when I put the aplication just a bunch of random words come out,not the content the disc brings.

I was just at the Genius Bar in Chicago and they said, don't worry about it. It just floats out there, however, I can not recover my messages on a flash drive. I need to go back to my old computer which I don't have with me. My messages were in folders for a lawsuit. It is going to take an incredible amount of work for me to, you have no Idea. We are talking thousands of pages! I the defendent will have them during discovery so I am not so worried. However, I can not bring them to him on a Flashdrive when I meet with him without an extraordinary amount of presssure on my part. THis is not just some little email issue. I want to open a folder in a separate window by clicking on it. For some reason when I click on a folder it just replaces the one I was just in. I want them both to be open at the same time without having to go through several steps. Old apple operating systems made it easy to have several folders open at one time.
Eric, thanks that works but seems like an extra added step also to do it that way. I've got to move and organize a ton of files and I'm looking for a easy way to get this done. I could also open the folder into a separate tab and then drag the tab out so it becomes an open window but thats a lot of fussing around also with extra steps. Not sure why these newer operating system seems more confusing and less user friendly than what they used to. In the past I could just click on any folder and it would open in a separate window making it really easy to copy or move files from one place to the other just by simply dragging them from one window to the other. Seems like I'm going through several extra steps now to do a simple task.
