Sounds like your phone was hacked to use with your carrier. Updating it has relocked the phone to it's original carrier. You will not get the phone working again without a SIM from the original carrier.

You must complete the unlock process with the ATT SIM in the phone. Follow the directions you received with the email saying that your unlock was approved.
At the end of the process you should have gotten an message saying that your phone was succesfully unlocked. -

Please Help, I bought a song from itune, and I need to get it refund.
I purchased a song name 'Music and Wine (Speakeasy 3000!)'
from an album called Naked Music Essentials 2. This song is 6:42long, but when it gets to around 4min. It start making weird sounds, and the songs wont't play properly, I think it is the problem with the file, its like those free files you download from kazza, the file itself is broken.
I don't know where to contact, or get help from.
I need my money back or a correct music file.
I can't believe Itune has this kind of incomplete song files. Its ITUNE!! not some free sharing program...

I bought an iPhone 5 at full retail price from an AT&T store. I requested the phone to be unlocked through their unlock portal. The AT&T unlock system asked for the IMEI number, a copy of my receipt showing that I bougth the phone at "No Commitment" price. A few hours later I received a message from AT&T stating that the unlock request was approved. I then followed the instructions to back up the phone and restore it through Itunes. The phone activates normally with the AT&T SIM card. But when I insert my VODAFONE SIM I get the massage "THE SIM CARD... etc.
I tried again to back up & restore the phone 3 or 4 times, no success. I have also allowed 24 hours for the unlock process to complete. Still no luck.
I have checked again on the AT&T Unlock Status portal and it shows "Unlock approved".
Where is the issue here? Do I have to call Apple or return the phone to AT&T and get the unlocked phone through the Apple Store?

please help. ive bought a second hand ipod nano, when i connect it to my pc, it does not recognise it in itunes,yet it comes up as a sigma mass usb device. its an ipod nano 8gb?. im running on windows vista,my own ipod classic runs fine.
there is a good chance that this can be related to bad contact in USB lead.. e.g not enough power from IPOD to PC so that pc cannot recognise it. Where I work I get alot of USB devices on pc's that are not recognised and most of the time it is the connection to the device that is not good enough because the flat end of the USB adapter has been gradually bent over time just slightly and now contact is not good. It can also be todo with drivers or If you are using it through a USB hub.
so if it is not working through USB hub try direct. also try in back of PC as these Ports or direct access to main board to pc and would be less trouble some if there was a voltage loss from mainboard in pc to front of unit. -

Above posters: Advising him not to use eBay, really?!?! Call a lawyer?!?! You have either too much money or too few brain cells, ebay is a reputable place to buy, and using paypal as an added layer of protection is an almost foolproof way to buy a phone online.
