Please Help! Invalid Drive: E:\

I currently have itunes 6 but for the last few months, whenever i have tried to install a more up to date version it says 'Invalid Drive: E:\' This is after the 'Run' process and on the final installation phase. I really want the newest version as i want to start downloading tv shows. If anyone knows what this problem is and how to go about rectifying it i would be most grateful.

even though you're not getting the 1327 error message number, the following InstallShield document is a good place to start with that one:

have you check at the amd site for your radeon driver or what ever the manufacture of that graphic card or chip ?

%m means "File not found or bad file name"
when you run "flasher-3.5 -F os.bin -f" flasher wil be looking for a file called os.bin.. If it can't find os.bin, it gives you the error %m
Why does it say %m and not something clearer? That's because of a bug in Nokia's software!
Ok.. Did you download the zip file I sent you? If so here's how I think we can do this:
Step 1) Open a CMD window
Go to the start menu, select run then type CMD
A black cmd window will pop up.. in that window run these commands exactly:
cd %ProgramFiles%\maemo\flasher-3.5
start .
A windows explorer window will appear. Move this window out of the way.. BUT don't close it
Step 2) move the bin files
Find the zip file you downloaded.. double click to open the file
Inside you'll find two bin files
Drag both files from the zip file into the explorer window that popped up in step 1
Now close the zip file window
Step 3) rename the bin files
In the windows explorer window into which you dragged the bin files, you have to rename the files
Click on
RX-51_2009SE_10.2010.13-2.VANILLA_PR_EMMC_MR0_ARM
and rename (press F2) the file to emmc
Click on RX-51_2009SE_10.2010.19-1.003_PR_COMBINED_003_ARM.bin
and rename (press F2) the file to os
Step 4) flash the files
unplug and turn off your phone
In the black cmd window run this command
flasher-3.5 -F os.bin -f
flasher will pause saying "waiting for suitable device"
Press and hold the U button on your phone and plug it in via usb.. you can let go of the U button when flasher starts doing something
Once flasher has finished (it will say "completed successfully") you can continue:
run this command
flasher-3.5 -F emmc.bin -f -R
That should be it

Really is nothing anyone can do here, maybe purchase a itunes gift card, makes things more streamline and keeps you on a budget. Plus no one can steal your credit info.

Please help with driver problem trying to reinstall windows 7

Hi, product is HP 655 Notebook pc operating system windows 7 however due to my daughters negligence (dont know exactly what, do know she very rarely if ever shut it down properly) the computer would go on but but only to black screen stating after general info at top (PXE-E61: Media test failure, check cable) next line (PXE-MOF: Exiting PXE ROM), on last line (No bootable device -- insert boot disk and press any key). dint have the boot disc only the product key so downloaded windows 7 home premium, put it on disc to start again. While trying to install Win 7, I get past a couple of screens in (collecting information) then I get stuck at a "Select the driver to be installed." screen. there is nothing in the box to choose just a statement "No signed device drivers were found. Make sure that the installation media contains the correct drivers, and then click OK.". Im certainly no expert but can and have followed instruction just dont know if i'm missing something, any help in this matter would be very much appreciated and thank you in advance!

I purchased a used soundcard from a computer repair shop near here a few months back. The sound card did not come with an installation CD. So i was pretty much left on my own to find drivers for it. Ive got a good many years experience building pcs so i figured this wouldnt be a problem. How WRONG i was lol. After being unable to find drivers for it originally I finally gave up and put the card in a static protection bag i had laying around and havent thought about it much since then just counted it as a loss. Now im back at it trying again to find drivers to get this card to work.
The following is every bit of information i feel applicable to this sittuation, however if anymore infos needed please let me know and ill try to provide it.
My operating system= windows XP with SP2
The following is off the card itself. (which says its a creative sound blaster Li've!)
Theres an inkstamp on the uppper left hand corner of the non chipset side that reads

Steps i've taken so far are i originally went to the creative search function and looked for the drivers on their site it gave me a link to two files which i downloaded.

Which had lists of ISOs for all the different installation CDs. I downloaded everything i seen on filefront (http://hosted.filefront.com/BadBoyforum) badboy had posted that had LIVE in the name. These include the following ISOs.

I mounted each image in daemon tools and attempted to install and recieved the following error
ERROR= Setup could not detect any sound blaster audio card on your system. Please ensure that your sound blaster hardware is properly installed before running this setup program. Setup will now exit.
Im kindve at a loss as how to proceed. Ive tryed looking through driverguide.com and a few other generic driver sites without much luck. If anybody at all has any suggestions on this id be very appreciati've. Like i said its a used card so it could be an OEM but it appears to be an ODM but who knows im by no means an expert on all this. I may have missed one of the LIVE isos off that filefront site but i dont think so. The only one i see thats left is the external one and its an internal card so i dont see how that could be right.

Please Help - Hard Drive Gone - Won't Mount - No AppleCare...

I'm in trouble here..
I was loading a bunch of photos from an external drive to iPhoto and my iMac froze up for a long time.
I couldn't do anything at all - so I finally force-powered down.
When I powered back up - My Hard Drive was gone and Finder will not open.
Other applications in my dock such as web browsers, iTunes etc. seem to be unaffected - I can also access Disk Utility and other Apps through Spotlight, but No sign of my "Macintosh HD".
I ran a "Verify Disk" in Disk Utility - and here's the report it provided:
Verifying volume “Macintosh HD”
Checking HFS Plus volume.
Checking Extents Overflow file.
Checking Catalog file.
Checking multi-linked files.
Checking Catalog hierarchy.
Checking Extended Attributes file.
Checking volume bitmap.

---The "Repair Disk" Button in Disk Utility is all grayed out though so I can't run it...

We usually try to give folks who come here simplified advice that keeps them comfortable troubleshooting and repairing their Macs and won;t raise other issues for them. Command line tools don't usually fall into the simplified category and fsck for Mac OS X Tiger is not recommended by Apple, except as a last resort. It is known to cause other issues.
From the Apple Knowledge Base article that Dale has linked below;
Note: If you're using Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you should use Disk Utility instead of fsck, whenever possible.
If you can successfully start up in Safe Mode or use Disk Utility while started up from a disc, you don't need to use fsck.
IMO, it isn't helpful for you to come along and contradict sound advice from folks who have used the Knowledge Base and are aware of Apple's recommendations because you think that you know better.

Please Help - CD Drive - Discs not appearing!!!

Whenever I put a disc of any kind into my drive, it does not show up in the finder or anything. Strangely, my drive appears normal in Profiler.
The Discs show up in the Disk Utility though! That is the weird part, it knows they are there, I just can't do anything to them.
I can't run hardware test, because that is on a DVD.

It would appear that settings in your Finder Preferences may have been altered. Try the following:
1. Click anywhere on the Desktop to make it active
2. From the menubar select Finder->Preferences
3. Click on the General icon
4. Ensure that CDs, DVDs and iPods is ticked in the Show these items on the Desktop section
All should be well now. Post back, either way, on how you got on.
I can't run hardware test, because that is on a DVD.
You should be able to startup from the DVD by holding down the Option(alt) key when powering up your Mac. This will take you to the Startup Manager screen where you'll be able to select AHT or any other bootable volume.

HELP!! I can't install the AMD graphic driver (both discrete & switchable) on my G470.
I have a Windows8 OS.
If I use the drivers "9000discrete" and "9000muxless" which I have downloaded from the Lenovo support. it seems like nothing happened. I tried everything. I uninstall the AMD Catalyst control and then reuse the 9000discrete I received an error that says "Your device is not installed or is not working properly." something like that. If someone knows a solution to this problem I really really need your help. PLEASE

Hi,
Was about 90% done on a major DVD project when DVD studio Pro 4 crashed.
When I try to reopen the file it says "invalid project file".
Although I have all of the assets and could rebuild I was in the process of adding subtitles manually and really need to get them back if possible (I was about 2 hours into a 2 1/4 hour film and was typing them in seperately.
Any ideas?

Hi - welcome to the discussions.
I hat to be the one to tell you this, but I would almost certainly guarantee that project is lost, I'm afraid.
There are a couple of things you can try to get this back - repair disk permissions, trash preferences and so on - but you could also look inside the project file (control+click on it and 'show package contents') for anything that you can salvage. With luck, repairing permissions or even re-starting your machine will get you back to be able to open the project, but I wouldn't want to build your hopes.
DVDSP does have the ability to let you type subs directly in to it, but whenever you do it is very difficult to get them out and use them elsewhere without a lot of additional work. For that reason alone most folk will create the subs in an external application and import them to DVDSP when done. That way they are always accessible, easily editable and most important, they are portable between projects or even between tracks within a project. I strongly recommend that you use a dedicated subtitle app, like STLEdit or even a basic text editor (or better, BBEdit).

The story is:
I have alot java class files under directory: c:\myproj\com\pin\sa
in each of the file, the package signature is: package com.pin.sa
Then I set the JavaVMInitArgs fVM_args; by setting the classpath to:c:\myproj
then I use: cls = (*fEnv).FindClass("com/pin/sa/frameWork") to find a class file called frameWork, but failed.
then i build a test file called test.class (it is just a simple file pls see below for the code)and put package com.pin.sa in it and put it in directory : c:\myproj\com\pin\sa, this means the test.class is under the same directory as the frameWork.class,
then I use cls = (*fEnv).FindClass("com/pin/sa/test"), and it SUCCEEDED!!!
I really don't understand why like this, they have same package signature and under same directory why different results.
In frameWork file, there are some imported packages, does this matter? And there is a static main() in it.
if you can give an example of how to set the classpath in JavaVMInitArgs fVM_args, and how to deal with the package signature, I will appreciate it very much

What are the packages that you are using in frameWork Class. Add the class path to those classes also. Also check the name of the .class file is exactly the same as frameWork and not FrameWork or framework etc.
Check whether you have correctly given the package declaration in the frameWork class.
If you dont have any problem, post the frameWork class definition also here or atleast the packages imported and the classpath set for those referred packages.

I have snow leopard and just bought a new HP officejet 7500 wide format wireless all-in-one. The problem is when I Print from my boyfriend's PC, the pictures are fine but when I print from my imac, the image I see on the monitor isn't what is printed. The colors are off and the picture is way too dark. I've looked on the internet to try to find a solution but haven't really found one. Please help.

HP printer listing for os 10.6 support is not that clear but "HP Officejet Pro L7500 series" in on the list so you may not need to download driver from hp but only from apple

I can not print wirelesly via AEBS, please help it drives me crazy.
Our computers:
Macbook pro 2ghz, lates update 10.4.6
G4 powerbook, latest update 10.4.6
AEBS latest update V5.7
Epson RX500, with latest updates on our machines.
We have ADSL conection. I have a router which connects AEBS to the internet.
Both G4 and Macbook connects without problem to the internet.
Epson printer is connected to AEBS.
When I tried to add printer in macosx I'm able to see the printer. I follow instructions and printer is added. I can see the name of printer and lokation on AEBS. All is corect, but won't let me print wirelesly. (with usb no problem).
I played with AEBS utility where funny thing happend. There is in Network share a single IP address. When I change it from 10.0.1.1 to 192.168.1.1 addressing then I can print, but internet doesn't work. (192.168.1.1 is my zyxel router so I understand that should not work anyway).
If I set it back 10.0.1.1 than internet works and printing not.
what else should I configure?

You should ensure that under the Network Tab, the AEBS is configured to NOT distribute IP addresses as you already have the Zyxel router doing that function on your network.

"Invalid Drive D"..... please help!!!

I am told to download newest version of iTunes v10, it downloads fine, but when I try to run it (along with the iTunes store) it says "computer needs to be modified", and then it says "Invalid Drive D". I have had my classic for over two years, and I have never had a problem with either my library or the store. I can still access my library with the old version, but I cannot get into the store because it keeps saying I have to download the new iTunes version. Please help! I am out of ideas and I do not know what to do. Any assistance would be great. Thanks. I am running Vista if that helps, and I do not know what version of iTunes I am currently using.

That's why you want to make a backup of the registry. If you didn't make a backup, use MS system restore to go back. The only values you should remove are UpperFilter or LowerFilter - one or both may be in there and can be removed. If neither value exists, then that is probably why you can't burn and Windows is not recognizing your drive as a writable drive.
